The Villain Has A Yuri Halo [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 38
Li Ju always did what she said she would. To practice the scene with Fang Yihan, she even sped up clearing the dining table, her enthusiasm so high she looked like she wanted to fight the dishwasher for a job. But when she turned around, the living room was empty. Fang Yihan was gone.
“Fang Yihan?”
“Little assistant?”
She had disappeared, but Li Ju wasn’t in a hurry. She opened a door and started searching. There were only two bedrooms; where could Fang Yihan be hiding?
Li Ju walked leisurely and confidently pushed a slightly ajar door. When she felt resistance, she knew she had found the girl.
She smiled, looking at the girl hiding behind the door. “Weren’t you excited just now? You didn’t change your mind in the time it took to eat dinner, did you?”
Fang Yihan was hiding behind the door. It was a good thing she was so slender, or she wouldn’t have been able to fit in the small space.
She secretly poked her head out, hands gripping the door frame, and said hesitantly, “I… I don’t know how to act. How about we change the reward?”
Li Ju was a rebel at her core. If Fang Yihan wanted her to change her mind, she was better off just accepting Li Ju’s whims.
Li Ju’s lips curved. She used her arm to pull Fang Yihan out of her hiding spot. She shook her head mercilessly. “Didn’t I tell you to engrave the new clause on the contract in your heart? One of the rules is that you have to listen to me. Fang Yihan, you don’t have the right to refuse me. Understand?”
Li Ju’s enchanting eyes were full of soft, feminine charm. Her gentleness wrapped around Fang Yihan, making her unable to struggle against Li Ju or even think of resisting.
The door closed behind them. Li Ju’s palm pressed against it, and Fang Yihan instantly found herself pinned with her back against the door.
Li Ju poked her cheek with her finger. Her eyes moved from Fang Yihan’s face to her blushing cheeks. She smiled knowingly. “Did you suddenly hide because you’re shy? Because of the kissing scene?”
By the end of her sentence, the smile in her voice had become more and more pronounced. Fang Yihan glared at her, not giving up. “What’s so funny about that? It’s perfectly normal for me to be shy! My dear master, you should stop that annoying smile right now!”
Li Ju saw through Fang Yihan’s facade. “Fang Yihan, have you ever kissed anyone?”
Fang Yihan’s angry gaze faltered for a second, but she quickly regained her confidence. She puffed out her chest and said proudly, “Of course I have! Even if I’m not a big beauty, I’m still a pretty one, and my personality is so gentle. I’ve never had a shortage of guys trying to get me! Who are you looking down on? And since you asked, shouldn’t I ask my dear master as well? You’re so pretty. When was your first relationship?”
Fang Yihan’s words were reasonable, but her heart was bubbling with jealousy.
She didn’t know what was wrong with her, but she just didn’t like Li Ju’s expression.
Talking about kissing was a very private matter.
Li Ju, the one who asked the question, was calm and composed, as if she didn’t care at all.
Fang Yihan didn’t want to see that look on her face. She wanted Li Ju to grab her by the shoulders and ask loudly if she had ever kissed anyone else.
That was the scene Fang Yihan wanted!
So Fang Yihan didn’t want to lose this battle. Since Li Ju didn’t care, she wouldn’t lose either.
Fang Yihan glared at Li Ju, who was confused by her sudden anger.
Li Ju wasn’t the kind of person to let someone push her around. She grabbed Fang Yihan’s face and said with a laugh, “It’s true that you’ve never had a shortage of guys. I saw one of your suitors calling you just two days ago. Fang Yihan, you’re really something.”
Fang Yihan didn’t expect her to bring that up. “I’ve been in isolation for the past few days. You can’t bring up old things! Besides, he called me. I didn’t contact him. You have to be fair!”
Li Ju laughed as if she had just heard the funniest joke. “If I were fair, do you think I would have written that new clause? Fang Yihan, I’m not a reasonable person. You need to get used to that. The contract is for three years, after all.”
Her smile was not a fake, polite one, or a gentle one, but a mischievous, wicked one.
This kind of Li Ju had a deadly charm. Fang Yihan blinked, defeated. She wasn’t that mad anymore. Oh, no, did I just fall for her trap?
Fang Yihan tried to stay focused. She mumbled, “You’re changing the subject. We were talking about kissing and relationships. Why are you bringing him up?”
Long Jing’an was no longer a person’s name in their conversations. Fang Yihan had seen Li Ju’s ruthless side. When she said she was done with him, she was really done. Her time in isolation wasn’t up yet, and she didn’t want Li Ju to extend her time because of Long Jing’an. So, she would avoid mentioning him.
“Oh, you mean kissing. Then why did you, a person who has already kissed someone, hide away in embarrassment?”
Li Ju’s challenging stare lit a fire in Fang Yihan. She put her hands on her hips and said with confidence, “I wasn’t embarrassed! I was just getting in the zone. You’ll see, I will definitely blow you away with my kissing skills!”
She rolled up her sleeves and asked seriously, “Where’s the script? Let me see the lines.”
Li Ju watched Fang Yihan’s brave facade with a smile. She kindly pointed to the script on the sofa. “It’s right there.”
Fang Yihan pushed Li Ju out of the way and sat proudly on the sofa.
The script was filled with words. Fang Yihan’s heart was a mess.
Her back looked confident, but inside, she was so nervous she wanted to bite her nails.
Li Ju walked around the sofa, tormenting her. The already anxious Fang Yihan couldn’t sit still.
The script had Li Ju’s handwriting on it, which Fang Yihan recognized.
She had written her thoughts and analysis on the character. It was clear how dedicated Li Ju was to this role.
Fang Yihan stroked the words and read the lines.
When she read about the male and female leads getting chased after being severely injured, she quickly turned the page to see what happened next.
The enemies were coming, and they couldn’t fight them off. To save the female lead, the male lead decided to sacrifice himself. He knew this would be their last goodbye. So he kissed the female lead with tears in his eyes and pushed her into a frozen river. He would use his body to shield her from the enemies.
Fang Yihan’s eyes stopped at the kissing scene. She couldn’t help but tap the script. “They’re about to be caught, and they’re still talking about how much they’re going to miss each other. It’s a good thing this is a movie, because in real life, not one, but both of them would be left behind!”
Li Ju sat on the arm of the sofa and nodded in agreement. “It’s a little unrealistic, but it shows how much the male lead loves the female lead.”
Fang Yihan asked reluctantly, “How long do you have to kiss for?”
Li Ju teased her. “Sometimes, if it’s not perfect, we have to film it a few times. We might have to kiss several times.”
“What! You’re telling me we have to do this multiple times?”
Fang Yihan stared at the script as if she could burn a hole right through it. Meanwhile, Li Ju seemed lost in a world of her own, a glimmer of anticipation in her eyes. “The shows I’ve done before were all serious dramas,” she mused. “Any emotional scenes were pretty much just holding hands or a quick hug. There were hardly any intimate moments, which is why I’ve had practically zero gossip throughout my career. Now that I finally get to do a scene like this, I’m actually a little intrigued.”
Fang Yihan furrowed her brow and tapped the script. “You find this interesting? You must not have done a lot of these before. But don’t worry, I’ve got you covered when the time comes!”
Li Ju tried to hold back a laugh, simply watching Fang Yihan with a small, knowing smile.
She had originally planned to just go over the lines with her, but Fang Yihan’s entire display—from hiding behind the door to her current flustered state—was too amusing to pass up. Li Ju suddenly felt that a simple run-through would be a letdown. She wanted to see how far Fang Yihan would actually go.
After more than ten minutes had passed, Li Ju casually asked, “Are you in character yet?”
“I’m getting there, I’m getting there!”
Li Ju sighed with a hint of helplessness. She had started this little drama, so it was only right that she should be the one to end it. If she waited for Fang Yihan to be ready, they would be there all day.
Li Ju got up and sat beside her, taking the script. Calm and composed, she said, “No need to get there. I’ll get you in character right now.”
Fang Yihan stiffened, her back ramrod straight. She insisted stubbornly, “I can do this!”
“Alright, then. Shall we begin?”
Taking a deep breath, Fang Yihan turned and knelt on the couch. Following the script, she gently cupped Li Ju’s face.
She had expected to fumble and be awkward, but as she gazed into Li Ju’s eyes, the lines from the script suddenly came to her with perfect clarity.
*******
Script Scene:
“‘Qingli, we both lost our families in that fire. You were the one who carried me on your back and escaped from that hell. From that day on, I’ve known that in this life, all I have is revenge and you. You have to live, for our family, and for me.'”
Li Ju’s hand flew up to reject him, but Fang Yihan held her wrist tightly. In that moment, she seemed to connect with the male lead’s inner struggle.
She couldn’t bring herself to kiss her.
He knew that kissing her meant they would have to part.
Fang Yihan’s heart pounded like a drum. Her expression was a complicated mix of emotions, as if she had a thousand words she wanted to say to Li Ju.
But at that moment, the icy look in Li Ju’s eyes began to melt. She seemed to understand Fang Yihan’s unspoken nervousness, and the male lead’s profound reluctance.
Gentleness softened every line of her face—she was radiant and lovely.
Li Ju’s painted lips curled up slightly, both prim and innocent. “Then what do you want to do?”
Fang Yihan’s body moved faster than her mind could process. She still held Li Ju’s wrist but didn’t let go, instead guiding her hand to her own chest, as if to show her how fast her heart was beating.
Her other hand cupped Li Ju’s face, and she leaned in to kiss her.
The moment their lips met, Li Ju’s eyes widened in surprise.
Fang Yihan mistook this shock for reluctance.
Perhaps it was the woman in her arms, so lovely and sweet. Fang Yihan decided she would be the villain just this once. She didn’t want to pull away. She wanted to be greedy.
Her kiss became more urgent. Without a moment of hesitation, she licked Li Ju’s lips, pressing in again and again until Li Ju had no choice but to open her mouth and welcome her.
The newfound softness of her tongue made Li Ju feel even more submissive, a discovery that made Fang Yihan kiss her more fiercely, the heat between them deepening the flush on their faces.
Li Ju couldn’t understand why Fang Yihan had suddenly become so brazen, her arm pinning her against the couch, forcing her to silently accept the kiss.
At that moment, her own composure and her racing heart were both betraying her.
She slowly began to respond, her eyes closing.
She was falling for it, finding herself lost in the moment.
After what felt like an eternity, their lips finally parted.
Fang Yihan propped herself up on her arms, and when she saw the faint sheen on Li Ju’s lips, she leaned in to give them a natural, almost unconscious peck, as if she’d done it a thousand times.
Li Ju narrowed her eyes at her, her gaze filled with an unreadable mix of emotions.
Fang Yihan licked her lips and smiled softly. Under Li Ju’s watchful eyes, she leaned into her embrace, breathing in her scent.
“Are you satisfied?”
Fang Yihan’s face turned beet red, the blush spreading from her cheeks to her neck.
She didn’t want to lie. “Yeah.”
Li Ju huffed, annoyed. “Fang Yihan, you’re the most shameless person I’ve ever met!”
“Is my owner upset? But I felt you were responding, too. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have kissed you for so long.”
Fang Yihan blinked her eyes. Her lips, still wet and crimson, drew Li Ju’s gaze, which she couldn’t tear away.
She lay innocently in her arms, tilting her head to ask, “How was the kiss, owner?”
“Now you’re playing the good, obedient little pet? What are you trying to pull? Where was this ‘owner’ of yours a minute ago?” Li Ju’s anger flared, and she pinched Fang Yihan’s cheek with more force than before. Fang Yihan winced. “Owner, you’re hurting me.”
“Good. You deserve it.” Li Ju didn’t let go. A faint hint of allure still lingered in her cool eyes.
Fang Yihan complained, her voice soft with a hint of hurt, “You turn on me just because of a kiss? Did I not serve you well?”
Li Ju’s eyebrows shot up. She hissed in a low voice, “Did you split your personality when you kissed me? Listen to what you’re saying!”
Fang Yihan didn’t think there was anything wrong with what she said. She was doing this on purpose, after all.
She stared at Li Ju with a hopeful look in her eyes and whispered, “I wasn’t steady, I wasn’t cold enough. I shouldn’t have been seduced by my owner. I should have stuck to my principles and rejected you! It’s all my fault. I’m just an innocent, I’ve never kissed anyone before, so I got swept away by my owner and committed a grave sin! It’s all on me; it has nothing to do with you. I was the one who made you open your mouth, I was the one who made you respond. It’s all my fault.”
Li Ju was left speechless, a blush creeping up to her eyes, making her already beautiful face look even more alluring.
Li Ju furiously covered her mouth, gritting her teeth. “Shut up. I swear I’m going to rip your head off and use it as a soccer ball!”
Fang Yihan just stared at her blankly, her eyes full of silent accusation.
Li Ju gave her a stern warning. “Don’t ever do that again! Do you hear me?”
Fang Yihan nodded her head, and Li Ju huffed, pulling her hand away.
Fang Yihan smiled, a hint of mischief in her eyes, and buried her face in Li Ju’s shoulder.
She spoke in a muffled voice, “I suddenly feel like we’re so much closer now.”
“Dream on. That’s just in your head.”
“You’re the only person I’ve ever kissed.”
“Then you are truly unfortunate.”
“You’ve only ever kissed me, too, right?”
“Would it be a problem if I sewed your mouth shut?”
Fang Yihan giggled. “I knew it.”
Because she could tell, they had both awkwardly bumped teeth.
Li Ju’s face was frozen in an expression of utter defeat as she stared at the ceiling.
She knew that some things had changed between them.
*******
Right now, Li Ju’s head was spinning. Dual-SIM phones might bring convenience, but her “dual-SIM” situation was causing her double the trouble.
[Host!! Even if you want to become the male lead’s enemy, and even if you want to find an excuse to mess with the female lead, you really don’t have to go through all this!]
[Parasite, you truly are the woman King A’ci has chosen! Your rebellious streak is incredible! You told me that if you don’t do the mission, you’ll be erased by the system. And now you’ve pulled this? So you’re not going to do the mission at all, are you? But before you’re erased, can you at least devour the female lead? I feel like the ‘love’ flavor here is still off! I think it’s just missing that final touch. Once you’ve had her, I’m sure the taste of love will be just right.]
Li Ju’s brows furrowed, and she immediately cut off their connection. If she didn’t, she would be the next one to go crazy.
Fang Yihan, Fang Yihan, what am I going to do with you?
******
“Yihan, what’s wrong? You seem so down today. Are you not feeling well? If you need to, you should take a few days off. Sister Ju is so good to you, I’m sure she’d agree.” Standing beside Fang Yihan was another assistant, Tan Xiaoxiao, who worked for the second female lead, Xiao Yajun. They had become friends after a drinking game they had played together.
In the North City, December was a beautiful sight, with gently falling snowflakes transforming the world into a silver-clad wonderland.
Fang Yihan sadly reached out her hand to catch a snowflake, whispering, “I’m not sick. I’m just in a bad mood.”
Tan Xiaoxiao asked curiously, “Why would you be in a bad mood? You get to work with a huge star like her, and Sister Ju isn’t a difficult person at all. There are so many assistants on this set who are jealous of you. You have no idea, some people who haven’t even made it yet are already acting like divas. It’s ridiculous.”
The reason for Fang Yihan’s bad mood wasn’t something she could easily talk about. She wasn’t about to foolishly tell Tan Xiaoxiao the truth.
She gave a distant, faint smile. “There’s no reason, really. People just feel strange sometimes.”
Tan Xiaoxiao didn’t think much of it and simply smiled to comfort her. “Alright, alright, cheer up. If Sister Ju sees you in this state, she’ll get worried.”
Fang Yihan’s eyes softened. She patted her cheeks to regain her focus. “You’re right. Today is Sister Ju’s big scene. I can’t mess things up.”
The mention of the big scene filled Fang Yihan with a mix of bitterness and sweetness.
The kiss they had shared had brought a subtle change to their relationship. They were much more physically affectionate now, and sometimes Fang Yihan would even lean on Li Ju’s shoulder while they looked over the script together—something that would have been impossible before.
A subtle feeling was taking root in her heart, and Fang Yihan was terrified to discover her possessiveness over Li Ju was growing by the day.
She could also feel Li Ju’s unspoken consent, especially whenever she would call her “owner.” Li Ju almost always gave in.
Fang Yihan let out a long sigh. It was so hard to keep these feelings bottled up inside.
“Come on, let’s go, they’re about to start filming.”
Fang Yihan hurried to zip up her down jacket. With her ponytail still in place, she looked as pure and vibrant as ever. Everyone on set had the same black jacket, but she managed to wear it with her own unique charm.
They stood somewhere out of the way, holding umbrellas to shield themselves from the falling snow.
Fang Yihan knew the upcoming plot by heart. The pursuers, driven by bloodlust, picked them off one by one, until only two desolate figures remained.
*******
Her clothes stained with blood, her eyes sharp and cold, she looked like a solitary white fox on a snowy peak, wary of the enemies who wanted to kill her.
In the nick of time, a tall man with a long spear stepped in front of her, blocking an incoming arrow.
The woman’s vision was blurred by tears, and she could only numbly support him as he held her with all his remaining strength.
It was a bleak and sorrowful scene, with specks of crimson blood scattered across the white snow.
She embraced the man who was already gone with one arm, her bloodthirsty gaze sweeping over the crowd. She let out a cold smile before unhesitatingly jumping into the frigid depths of a lake from which no one could ever return.
In the snow, all that remained was the man’s spear, plunged into the white ground.
“And… cut! Perfect!” The director gave a satisfied thumbs-up and praised Li Ju, who had just jumped into the prop pool.
“Great job. Your take is definitely a better fit for the characters than the original kiss. The male lead is naturally a bit withdrawn, and a kiss before he dies would have felt out of place. His true purpose is to die to protect Qingli. Your idea was absolutely right!”
The screenwriter, standing nearby, nodded in agreement. “It really is a better fit than the original version.”
The two exchanged a look, their eyes filled with the ambition for awards. It was this pursuit of perfection that made them willing to make changes.
Fang Yihan ran through the snow towards Li Ju, her heart was aching. She gently wiped the water droplets from Li Ju’s face and couldn’t help but say, “Are you cold? Do you want some hot water?”
Li Ju shivered as she put on her down jacket, her arms almost numb. Fang Yihan bit her lip, helping her put the coat on.
“Why… are you crying?”
Fang Yihan protested stubbornly, “I’m not.”
A snowflake landed on Li Ju’s nose. She calmly took a sip of hot water from her cup, then glanced at Fang Yihan. “Are you still unhappy?”
Tears rolled down Fang Yihan’s cheeks without her even realizing it. She couldn’t control herself and hugged Li Ju tightly.
So, she knew everything.
From a distance, Xiao Yajun nudged her assistant, puzzled. “Why are they suddenly hugging?”
Tan Xiaoxiao replied with a straight face, “It’s how they’re keeping warm, Sister.”
“Oh, I see,” Xiao Yajun replied.
