The Transmigrated Princess - Chapter 72
Xie Zhizhen did not see a trace of Gu Qing all the way back from the academy. Yesterday, Gu Qing had at least known how to use some flashy tricks to get her attention, but today, the woman was nowhere to be found.
She felt increasingly aggrieved. It was clearly Gu Qing who had done wrong, yet it seemed she could not handle being given the cold shoulder for just a few days.
Xie Zhizhen had originally planned to ignore her for two more days before making up, but now it seemed there was no need for a reconciliation at all. They might as well just get a divorce!
Xie Zhizhen could not stand this injustice. While she was busy dealing with her own unwanted admirers at the academy, Gu Qing had brought her own “peach blossoms” directly to the school, told them stories, and left her all alone in the study to eat tanghulu.
The more she thought about it, the more upset she became. When she returned to the Princess’s Manor and saw the peach tree, her mind filled with images of Gu Qing’s admirers. In a fit of pique, she told Su Juan to dig the tree up.
Su Juan panicked instantly. That peach tree had been planted by the Consort herself, and it was the variety Her Highness usually loved most. Why did she suddenly want it gone?
Xie Zhizhen went straight to her room after speaking. Su Juan stood there hesitating over whether to dig it up when she suddenly realized she had forgotten to tell the Princess that the Consort was already in her room.
However, a significant amount of time had passed since Xie Zhizhen entered. The Princess had likely already seen her. Su Juan decided it was best not to go in and disturb them; if the Princess did not want to see the Consort, she would surely call for her.
She would simply wait obediently at the door.
When Xie Zhizhen first entered the room, she did not notice anything unusual. Habitually, she stood for a moment before the sword Gu Qing had gifted her.
Thinking back on their memories together, and how much effort Gu Qing had put into their marriage after returning, she felt a pang of softness. They were finally together, and Gu Qing truly treated her exceptionally well. Aside from the incident with Attila and Rosanna yesterday, Gu Qing was practically beyond reproach.
Once she calmed down, Xie Zhizhen realized that while she was still dissatisfied, the idea of divorce had vanished. It was mostly just jealousy and lingering anger.
She reached out to take the sword, stroking the black tassel. It was made from the lock of hair she had cut from Gu Qing years ago. An unconscious smile played on her lips.
Fine. Considering how much Gu Qing loved her, she decided to forgive her just this once.
Yes, just this once.
However, she could not act too easy to coax. She would still ignore Gu Qing for five days.
Wait, was five days too long?
Xie Zhizhen hesitated. She was actually quite unaccustomed to not having Gu Qing by her side these past few days.
How about three days?
After careful thought, she settled on three days. Counting from today, she would forgive Gu Qing the day after tomorrow. When that time came, she would punish her by making her prepare a vast amount of milk tea.
Thinking of this, her mood improved significantly. Carrying the sword, she walked toward the bed, only to notice a bulge in the red bedding. Clearly, someone was inside!
She instinctively assumed it was Gu Qing, but for safety, she gripped the sword tightly and reached out to pull back the covers.
As the bedding was lifted, a strong scent of alcohol wafted out. She saw the person beneath the covers. With her heroic brows and long, curled eyelashes, the sleeping Gu Qing looked gentle and quiet, not at all like a Great General. In her drunken state, her cheeks were flushed, and her rosy lips looked very kissable.
Perhaps because it was summer and the covers were warm, Gu Qing’s robes were slightly disheveled, revealing her white, jade-like shoulders.
Xie Zhizhen breathed a sigh of relief. She guessed why Gu Qing had not appeared today only to end up in her bed, but then she felt a surge of annoyance.
Hmph. It was Gu Qing’s fault, yet instead of coaxing her, she had the nerve to go out drinking. She didn’t even know who Gu Qing had been drinking with.
The sudden removal of the covers made Gu Qing frown. She instinctively reached out to rub her eyes. Upon seeing Xie Zhizhen, she smiled naturally and grabbed the Princess’s wrist. With a sudden tug, she pulled the caught-off-guard Xie Zhizhen onto the bed.
Gu Qing rubbed her hot cheek against Xie Zhizhen’s neck. The rich aroma of wine mingled with Gu Qing’s natural scent of fresh grass, which smelled wonderful.
“Zhenzhen, I was wrong.”
Even in her drunken state, Gu Qing did not forget to apologize. She held Xie Zhizhen tightly, nuzzling her as if she were starved for skin contact. Her voice was raspy, sounding much like it did when they were intimate, which was quite alluring. “Zhenzhen, forgive me.”
Her warm, wine-scented breath fanned against Xie Zhizhen’s neck. Looking at Gu Qing’s disheveled state, Xie Zhizhen felt a bit lightheaded, as if the drunkenness were contagious.
But her reason remained. When Gu Qing leaned in for a kiss, Xie Zhizhen tilted her head, causing the warm lips to land on her neck instead.
Though her resolve was weakening, Xie Zhizhen internally encouraged herself not to give in so easily. She looked at the drunken Gu Qing and spoke with a firm but trembling voice, as Gu Qing’s hand had already sneakily slid under her skirt. She caught Gu Qing’s wrist. “Do… do not move! I have not forgiven you yet!”
Gu Qing let out a pitiful “oh,” sounding unhappy. But in her drunken state, she was strangely obedient. At Xie Zhizhen’s command, she pulled her hand back and stopped moving, though she continued to hold Xie Zhizhen tightly, refusing to let go.
“Zhenzhen, forgive me, please forgive me.” Since she could not use her hands, she turned to a “brainwashing” tactic, whispering into Xie Zhizhen’s ear and occasionally kissing the Princess’s neck.
Recalling Rosanna’s advice, Gu Qing felt it was necessary to take things further. Though it was a bit embarrassing, she would do anything to coax her wife!
She reached out, grabbed Xie Zhizhen’s wrist, and began to undress herself. “It is so hot. Zhenzhen, help me take these off. These clothes are so stifling.”
This was, of course, a lie. The fabric was a special imperial tribute with exquisite embroidery; it was highly breathable despite the multiple layers.
Gu Qing’s clothes were already messy. As she hung loosely in them, Xie Zhizhen’s slight movement caused the outer robe to fall away. Soon, Gu Qing was left in only her undergarment, one that Xie Zhizhen had personally tailored for her.
Xie Zhizhen was moved. She had not expected Gu Qing to be wearing this specific piece. In the next instant, Gu Qing took her hand and placed it around her lean, powerful waist.
Unlike Xie Zhizhen’s own soft lines, Gu Qing’s abdominal muscles were well-defined and clearly strong. Xie Zhizhen did not resist; she instinctively caressed that powerful frame, a sense of strength she could never achieve herself in a short time.
Noticing Xie Zhizhen’s softening demeanor, Gu Qing pressed her advantage, lightly licking the Princess’s earlobe. Xie Zhizhen began to respond instinctively. A light of triumph flashed in Gu Qing’s eyes.
The temperature rose, and the scent of wine seemed to spread between them. Xie Zhizhen’s face was flushed and her breath was short, but she still managed to press a hand against Gu Qing’s shoulder while catching her wandering hand. “You are not actually drunk, are you?”
Gu Qing’s heart skipped a beat. She felt a flash of panic, but maintained her dazed, innocent expression. “What are you talking about?”
Xie Zhizhen pinched Gu Qing’s cheek and said fiercely, “I am giving you one more chance. Are you drunk or not?”
Sensing the threat in that tone, Gu Qing’s intuition told her it was better to be honest. Dropping the act, her eyes became clear. She gave a helpless smile. “I really cannot hide anything from you.”
Xie Zhizhen snorted. She was no fool. All this kissing, hugging, and active seduction did not look like the behavior of someone truly wasted.
“Do you want my forgiveness?”
Gu Qing nodded eagerly, knowing this meant there was a chance. Her eyes sparkled like those of a large puppy.
A dark glint passed through Xie Zhizhen’s eyes, and her lips curled into a mischievous smile. Whatever she was planning, Gu Qing knew she had to accept it to appease her.
Then, Xie Zhizhen spoke. “Tonight, I want to be on top.”
Gu Qing froze. She had a sinking suspicion but asked tentatively, “By ‘on top,’ do you mean… just the physical position?”
Xie Zhizhen’s face turned bright red, and she glared at Gu Qing. Why was she being so dense now, forcing her to say it out loud!
“I mean… when we do it, I want to take the lead!” Surely she understood that!
In truth, she had always been curious about being on top. Why was it that Gu Qing seemed to do all the work, yet she was always the one who ended up exhausted? This was a rare opportunity to experience that pleasure herself! Besides, Gu Qing had made her voice raspy for an entire day last time; now it was time for a little payback.
Gu Qing’s face stiffened. Xie Zhizhen looked unhappy. “If you are unwilling, then forget it.”
As Xie Zhizhen made a move to get off the bed, Gu Qing panicked and pulled her back. “Whatever you say goes!”
To earn Zhenzhen’s forgiveness, she would endure anything!
Gu Qing lay back on the bed, looking like a flower ready to be plucked.
Xie Zhizhen was delighted, but due to her lack of experience, her initial attempt was a bit clumsy. Gu Qing winced and quickly caught her wrist.
“Think carefully. Is this how I usually treat you?” Gu Qing was helpless. While she was not afraid of pain, she was no masochist; if it could be avoided, she preferred it not to hurt.
Seeing Xie Zhizhen’s confused expression, Gu Qing sighed and began to instruct her. “If you just go at it like that, I will get hurt.”
Xie Zhizhen was lost. Her past experiences were always comfortable if exhausting; she never knew that improper handling could cause injury.
Gu Qing pulled Xie Zhizhen close. “Zhenzhen, kiss me. Touch me.”
