It is known to all the world that the Human Emperor, Wen Muli, has a “shameful” male wife who is denied his favor and lives in seclusion within the Cold Palace year-round.
One day, Wen Muli brings back his beloved “White Moonlight.” To save this cherished love, he demands that Su Mo’s spiritual root be extracted.
Su Mo gazes at him quietly. After a long silence, he rasps: “Congratulations, Your Majesty, for finally obtaining your heart’s desire!”
When the demonic beasts attack, Su Mo falls in battle.
On the day the truth finally comes to light, a regret-stricken Wen Muli finds he cannot even protect his late wife’s remains. A massive black dragon appears and seizes Su Mo’s body; Wen Muli is heavily wounded, defeated, and tortured by his inner demons for nearly a century.
When they meet again, the world has changed.
Wen Muli finally sees the person he has been yearning for day and night. However, his wife is dressed in a vibrant red wedding robe, having become the bride of the Black Dragon Demon Lord.
“Su Mo, I was wrong. I love you. Please come back to me… I cannot live without you… Didn’t you love me?”
Wen Muli kneels on the ground, his voice hoarse as he begs his wife to look back.
With an indifferent expression, Su Mo shakes his head, returning the very words once spoken to him: “You are mistaken, Wen Muli. I never loved you. Not in the past, not now… and in the future, I never will!”
Mo Siye and Su Mo lock fingers tightly. Looking down from a height at the disheveled and pathetic Wen Muli, Mo Siye sneers: “I give my thanks to the Human Emperor for being blind as a dog mistaking a common fish eye for a precious pearl for only then could I, Mo, claim this beauty as my own!”
A dragon has a reverse scale; touch it, and you shall face his wrath. Su Mo is exactly that Mo Siye’s reverse scale!
