- Chapter 48 - What Do You Want to Do to Her?
No kissing—
Did Si Yu kiss Xu Chengjin? Of course not. She had only carefully licked, and it was merely her own self-defense. The other person had covered her mouth, and what was she to do if she couldn’t breathe?
“Kiss?”
Si Yu’s mood immediately improved. She slowly moved forward, her oppressive presence intensifying: “Did I kiss you? Where did I kiss you?”
“Here?”
Si Yu’s hand lightly touched Xu Chengjin’s forehead, her fingertip sliding down: “Your eyes?”
“Or your nose.” Si Yu lowered her head. Her finger pads carefully pressed against Xu Chengjin’s face, and she couldn’t help but sigh in her heart, marveling at how someone could be so beautiful, so captivating.
“I didn’t kiss anywhere…” Xu Chengjin’s lips were pried open by Si Yu’s finger. Her words were swallowed before she could finish. Si Yu’s movements were actually a bit forceful, but Xu Chengjin didn’t struggle, still looking intently at Si Yu.
Even when physiological tears were forced from her eyes, she didn’t resist.
“Why are you so obedient?” Si Yu withdrew her hand. She held Xu Chengjin in her embrace, chuckling softly and asking, “Does it hurt?”
Xu Chengjin honestly “Mhm’d.” Her voice sounded a little hoarse: “I feel a bit like throwing up.”
“I’m sorry.”
Si Yu lowered her head and kissed Xu Chengjin’s earlobe. The person in her arms trembled, as expected. She let out a muffled laugh and whispered, “Take the key, okay?”
Xu Chengjin didn’t answer, and Si Yu didn’t need her to speak. She put the key back into Xu Chengjin’s hand and said, “I’ll take you to complete the transfer formalities in a couple of days.”
“Will you regret it?” Xu Chengjin sniffled. She felt a familiar sting in her nose but also felt it was inappropriate to cry in this setting. “If you hate me later, you’ll take the house back.”
Si Yu felt Xu Chengjin was overthinking things, stating unequivocally: “Impossible. I won’t hate you, and I never take back anything I’ve given away.”
“Trust me, okay?”
Xu Chengjin placed both hands against Si Yu’s chest. She clearly felt the other person’s heartbeat—fast and strong.
She said, “Okay, I trust you.”
Si Yu finally let out a sigh of relief. Her finger pads gently touched the area under Xu Chengjin’s eyes, a flash of heartache in her gaze: “Do your eyes hurt from crying?”
“No.”
Xu Chengjin retreated from Si Yu’s embrace. Just as she was about to speak, she suddenly heard footsteps outside. It was Xu Jing: “Are you two in here?”
Si Yu let out an irritated “Tch.” She sat on the steps of the flower room, looking glum. Xu Chengjin, however, tidied her appearance, opened the flower room door, and whispered, “Sister.”
“What are you doing here?”
Xu Jing had searched the second floor of the manor completely without finding anyone, until she discovered this secret door. Sure enough, the two were together.
“She also prepared a gift for me,” Xu Chengjin said truthfully. “I like it very much.”
“Is that so?”
Xu Jing pulled Xu Chengjin behind her. She looked at Si Yu warily: “My sister is still young, and naturally easily tricked by people like you. If you have any conscience, stay away from her!”
“Sister!” Xu Chengjin immediately spoke up to refute, “That’s not true!”
“Don’t speak!”
Xu Jing scolded Xu Chengjin for the first time, her tone filled with unconcealed aggression: “If I hadn’t come looking today, Si Yu, what did you intend to do?”
Si Yu stood up, her eyes full of mockery: “What do you think—”
She walked up to Xu Jing, looking down at the person before her, her voice light and airy:
“I intended to do?”
