- Chapter 8 - Shen Que, Whose Kiss is Better?
Shen Que’s eyes darkened instantly, an endless storm brewing beneath his calm facade. His fingertips slowly brushed against Shen Congbai’s somewhat dry lips.
His voice turned strangely husky. “Didn’t Brother tell you to be good?”
He pressed down firmly with his fingertip, ruthlessly kneading the soft flesh of the lip. Shen Congbai tried to struggle, but his chin was clamped in a death grip, forcing his mouth open to reveal the vivid red tip of his tongue.
“Mmph… no…”
Unable to open his eyes, Shen Congbai dreamed he was being tightly coiled by a venomous snake. The pitch-black body of the serpent began its spiral at his nose and wound its way down to his thighs, locking him in so tightly not even air could escape. Even his lips and teeth were forced apart by scales, exposing his most tender and sensitive palate.
Shen Congbai’s jaw grew weak and sore. He desperately tried to swallow the excess saliva in his throat, but with his chin held fast, his throat could only slide up and down in a futile effort. The liquid he couldn’t contain spilled from the corner of his mouth, bringing with it a chilling sensation.
Shen Que let out an unreadable low laugh. The sophisticated mask of a gentleman was torn away by years of hidden desire; he finally stopped suppressing himself, leaning in to lick away the stray droplets from the youth’s face.
Shen Congbai’s skin was delicate; the rasp of the man’s tongue was uncomfortable. Just as he tried to retreat, a large hand that had been waiting at his waist scooped him up, slamming him back against the man’s body.
A sob instantly escaped him, but it was quickly muffled by the tongue invading his mouth, capturing and toy with his own retreating, slender tongue at will.
Shen Congbai was a mess of tears. The side effects of the fever medication forced him to stay trapped in the dream; even as he was being tormented like this, he could only helplessly clutch at the man’s knuckles for air, which only fanned the flames of the man’s arrogance.
The feeling of being constricted grew more intense. Under his struggles, the “great snake” grew even more aggressive. His thighs were lashed with red welts from the “tail,” carrying a hint of punishment. Even the most delicate patch of skin became swollen, like a begonia flower that had just endured a torrential storm—vivid and beautiful enough to drive one to madness.
The room was silent, save for the heavy breathing of the two men. Shen Que let out a light laugh. The fire leaping within him slowly steadied; he no longer looked like a calm, elegant tycoon, but rather like a dragon from Western myths, coiled around his treasure and locking it in his embrace.
Shen Congbai frowned. In his dream, the great snake had finally realized its prey was exhausted. It raised its head to begin its meal. A damp, cold breath hovered over his heart; the snake lowered its head, its vertical pupils coldly watching the blood flowing beneath.
Terrified, Shen Congbai let out two unconscious whimpers: “Go away…”
“Don’t… don’t eat me… Ah!”
The fear of having his heart torn out by the snake allowed him to break free from the medication’s side effects. Shen Congbai’s long lashes trembled, and after a moment of struggle, his heavy eyelids finally opened.
He looked up to see Shen Que sitting at the head of the bed, dressed in a formal suit with his hands crossed over his lap. His dark, deep eyes were slowly turning toward him.
“Awake?”
Shen Congbai felt the man’s voice sounded strange. Assuming Shen Que was angry about the trouble he’d caused, he immediately showed weakness: “Brother… hiss!”
The movement of speaking pulled at the wounds on his lips. Shen Congbai took a sharp breath and instinctively stuck out his tongue to lick the sore spot, only for a large hand to clamp onto his chin.
Shen Que’s single-handed grip restricted his movement. The soft flesh of Shen Congbai’s cheeks was squeezed together, and his lips were pushed out into a pout, making him look like a comical duckling.
Shen Congbai shook his head to break free, but Shen Que’s grip only tightened, making his jawbone ache.
“Is Wuwu being disobedient again?”
Sensing the displeasure in his tone, Shen Congbai pleaded softly, “I was wrong. Brother, don’t be angry.”
Shen Que raised an eyebrow with interest. “And what were you wrong about?”
“I shouldn’t have provoked Feng Yu, break his things, and make Brother clean up my mess.”
“Is that so?”
Shen Que seemed to accept this explanation. He released the hand clamping his chin, leaving behind a vivid red mark on that exquisite jawline.
However, before Shen Congbai could breathe a sigh of relief, those hands moved to the back of his neck, pinching his “lifeline” like one would a kitten.
Shen Congbai’s eyes widened, his dark pupils appearing helpless. “Brother?”
“There’s one thing Wuwu failed to mention.” Rough fingertips slowly rubbed a small patch of skin. Shen Que’s voice was low and husky. “No matter what happens in the future, you must tell Brother first. If you get mixed up with another ‘stinking man’ and cause trouble again. Brother will have to punish you properly.”
“I will.” Shen Congbai swallowed hard. His fingertips, resting at his side, reached out to touch Shen Que’s arm in a cautious test. “Brother, are you still angry?”
“…”
Seeing that Shen Que remained silent, his courage grew. He leaned forward to escape the hand at the back of his neck.
Shen Congbai was testing Shen Que’s boundaries step by step without even realizing it. Instead, he was focused solely on explaining himself: “I didn’t mean to cause trouble. I just wanted to clear things up with Feng Yu about the breakup three years ago, apologize, and get him to forgive me.”
“Heh.” Shen Que let out an unreadable laugh. “So, you tore his clothes to shreds?”
Shen Congbai’s face turned a vivid red. He pursed his lips. “I don’t know why I woke up in his bed. It’s his fault for leaving clothes lying around on the bed; that’s the only reason I accidentally broke them.”
“In his bed?” Shen Que’s gaze swept over him, finally resting on Shen Congbai’s pale ankles. He asked nonchalantly: “Did he kiss you, too?”
Shen Congbai was stunned. He turned his head away uncomfortably, his slender fingers fidgeting with the sheets as he mumbled, “Mmph…”
Shen Que suddenly grabbed his ankle and pressed down, ignoring Shen Congbai’s startled look. He leaned over, looming like an immovable mountain, firmly pinning Shen Congbai down.
Shen Congbai sensed something was wrong and tried to dodge, but his waist was caught by the man’s other hand. He was forced into an open, vulnerable position to face Shen Que.
A low, pleased laugh escaped Shen Que’s throat. He watched Shen Congbai’s increasingly terrified expression and asked slowly:
“So, is Brother’s kiss more comfortable… or is his?”
