Shen Congbai was a fragile, sickly man, gloomy and withdrawn. His body was a shattered frame of bone and illness. After being framed and schemed against, he died a lonely death abroad.
However, he has been reborn. He woke up back in the third year of his time overseas. Remembering the betrayals of his past life, he immediately decides to return to China to rewrite his ending.
- Day 1 of his return: His “stray dog” ex-boyfriend, whom he had cruelly abandoned, corners him. With sharp features and a fierce gaze, the man pins him against the wall with one hand. His scorching kisses are overwhelming, their breaths tangling in a frantic heat. The man demands repeatedly: “Why did you break up with me back then?” Shen Congbai purses his lips and coughs softly, his lips turning pale from the pressure. Tears instantly well up in his eyes, hanging precariously from his lashes: “Feng Yu, I feel unwell…”
- Day 2 of his return: The eldest young master of the Shen family, who once doted on him most passes him by like a cold stranger. Shen Congbai “accidentally” trips on level ground, revealing a glimpse of his snowy-white waist, his eyes rimmed with red: “Ah… it hurts.”
- Day 3 of his return: In a classic “Prince and the Pauper” twist, he encounters the real young master at a banquet. As people target and frame Shen Congbai, the real heir watches from the sidelines, ready to join in the mockery. Shen Congbai tilts his head back and downs a glass of… Coca-Cola. The liquid splashes onto his collar, revealing the lustrous skin beneath. He turns to the man with an accusatory look: “You’re being so mean.”
The Boyfriend / The Eldest Young Master / The Real Heir: I didn’t want to give in, but he’s just too delicate.
The consequence of teasing them too much is. The “wild dog” ex-boyfriend can no longer resist the temptation. The cold and restrained Eldest Master strips off his mask of propriety, gripping Shen Congbai’s waist and whispering in his ear: “You can’t run away now.” Even the man who was once Shen Congbai’s “servant” has turned the tables; grabbing his ankle, he crawls upward: “Young Master, please… show me some mercy.”
