- Chapter 22 - Variety Show 10 - Who Allowed You to Call Me Baby!
Song Mingjiao, held by the waist, looked around. The room He Wang had chosen even had a window with a view of the sea. There were likely no cameras here; it wasn’t a bedroom designated for the guests, but at least it was clean and tidy.
Being a stickler for cleanliness, Song Mingjiao barely tolerated not pushing the man away.
It was truly something that this man had specifically chosen such a room. Song Mingjiao somewhat suspected that perhaps this guy had been planning this forced interaction all along and had been scouting for rooms early on.
“What is Mr. He talking about? A lover? I don’t understand, oh. I’m just a simple, well-behaved young man.”
While he claimed not to understand, his calf kept brushing against He Wang, moving higher and higher, until He Wang reached out and stopped him.
The man’s breathing became heavier, and he closed his eyes with restraint before suddenly reaching out to cover Song Mingjiao’s mouth. That mouth could finally say no more it had left him burning with desire without taking responsibility for extinguishing it.
The skin on that hand was darker than Song Mingjiao’s, and the span of one hand was enough to cover his entire face. Now, acting on agitated but restrained emotion, the hand pressed over him, causing Song Mingjiao’s cheeks to puff up.
Song Mingjiao glared at He Wang with his beautiful eyes and made two “hmm, hmm” sounds, asking with his gaze: What are you doing?
He Wang finally surrendered, burying his head in the crook of Song Mingjiao’s neck, his tone heavy and muffled: “Mingjiao, don’t call me that anymore. Don’t call me ‘Mr. He’ anymore, okay? At least make me feel that, in your heart, I am a little bit different from the others.”
He Wang’s frame was already a size larger than Song Mingjiao’s, and this action felt somewhat uncoordinated and comical. He only felt that the person in his arms was so small and light, light enough that he might disappear in the next second.
It was the first time Song Mingjiao had realized this man was so heavy, leaving him unable to speak. Dissatisfied, he stuck out the tip of his tongue and licked the man’s palm lightly, like a cat.
Startled, He Wang finally pulled his hand away abruptly.
Song Mingjiao gave a light hum: “Then what do you want me to call you? He… Wang?”
For some reason, the name “He Wang” always carried a unique charm when spoken by Song Mingjiao, leaving He Wang in a daze.
“Finished enjoying it? Once you’re done, let me go. I’ll just pretend what you just said never happened.”
Song Mingjiao lowered his eyes, his expression indifferent. He kicked He Wang with his leg, signaling for the man to release him.
He was in this world to have fun. Although the protagonist the target of his mission wasn’t particularly entertaining, he didn’t intend to have a deep “soul connection” with someone like a mere NPC. The previous ones were just for play; they weren’t on the same path.
Perhaps sensing Song Mingjiao’s intention to leave, He Wang’s sixth sense told him, without reason, that if he let Song Mingjiao walk out that door, nothing would ever have a chance to change.
He knew Song Mingjiao hated interference from others and, perhaps influenced by that trash Mo Qinan, held a poor impression of “hypocritical” people in the entertainment industry. Thus, He Wang had always silently endured Song Mingjiao’s habit of running away after teasing him, hoping for the day Song Mingjiao would loosen his guard.
But in reality, Song Mingjiao only teased more and more. With his ex-boyfriend Mo Qinan lingering like a ghost, entourages of bodyguards and secretaries surrounding him who were all attentive, and then there was that piece of trash Guliang who actually dared to like Song Mingjiao?
He Wang couldn’t take it anymore. He restrained Song Mingjiao’s wrists and pulled him back, but was soon shaken off. Still, He Wang refused to give up, continuing his silent struggle. The two twisted together, moving further and further from the door and instead ending up by the window near the sea.
Song Mingjiao had been drinking today, and the tipsiness was starting to set in. He felt weak; the man was heavy as hell, and he couldn’t be bothered to waste energy struggling, not wanting to end up sweaty and uncomfortable.
Before long, Song Mingjiao was panting and stopped moving, but his expression had turned completely cold:
“Let go.”
“No.”
He Wang used both hands and feet; his legs, a size wider than Song Mingjiao’s, pressed down on his. Their clothes were twisted together from the previous struggle.
He buried his head in the crook of Song Mingjiao’s neck, eyes closed, his expression pained yet filled with pleading. He stared intensely at the snowy white neck, wanting nothing more than to bite down and prevent Song Mingjiao from running around everywhere like a little fox.
But in the end, He Wang couldn’t bring himself to do it, only lightly biting a piece of soft flesh on the neck, holding it there without using any force.
Song Mingjiao felt the anomaly at his neck and frowned. It didn’t hurt, but it was very itchy. Why was everyone like a dog?
“Mingjiao, I’m serious. I don’t want any other status; just let me be your lover. Even someone like Mo Qinan can be one, so why won’t you give me a chance?”
He Wang’s breathing grew heavier. He had never been this close to Song Mingjiao before; separated only by a thin layer of fabric, he could even smell the faint scent on Song Mingjiao.
Song Mingjiao raised his eyes, his smile devoid of warmth: “Oh? My lover isn’t an easy position to fill.”
He lifted his chin slightly, looking arrogant: “I have very high standards.”
He Wang didn’t hear these words; in his mind, he had already automatically translated them to: Yes, Song Mingjiao has permitted me to be his lover.
For He Wang, even this small bit of progress felt like a massive blessing.
His gaze remained on Song Mingjiao’s neck, where the once pure and flawless skin was now marked by him. Unable to help himself, He Wang leaned in again, this time against that same patch of soft flesh, licking and biting, murmuring:
“Baby, baby, that’s great. I like you so much.”
Song Mingjiao frowned again. This man was just like a limpet stuck to him; he couldn’t be pushed away.
He retorted irritably: “Pushing your luck! Who allowed you to call me ‘baby’? You are not allowed to call me that!”
The term was too juvenile, and Song Mingjiao didn’t like it. He hated the way it belittled him.
Having already had some alcohol, and combined with the struggle just now, Song Mingjiao’s beautiful face was flushed, his lips glossy and wet. Because of his panting, his chest heaved slightly, and his collar was a mess. If He Wang were to lower his head, he could see the hint of pink underneath, making the man’s breathing heavier.
At this moment, Song Mingjiao glared at him with resentment in his eyes, but instead of being intimidating, it only made He Wang’s blood boil.
“Alright, baby.”
Song Mingjiao: ?!
In the end, they just submitted a few random photos for the final adventure. Fortunately, with the sight of Mo Qinan being beaten up beforehand, the production team had long since been terrified into shutting down the live stream, so no one noticed Song Mingjiao and He Wang coming out from the stern of the boat one after another, their clothes slightly disheveled.
That night, Song Mingjiao slept in a standard bedroom. He didn’t care much, but the bodyguard making the bed beside him was extremely dissatisfied, deeply annoyed with the Best Actor who had delayed the schedule.
Especially when the bodyguard turned around and saw the ambiguous mark on Song Mingjiao’s neck, his brain went “boom” he was about to explode.
