No wonder Yao Anna reacted so strangely; it turned out she had run into her Alpha fiancé and was afraid of them misunderstanding the relationship between them.

Pei Congling raised her eyebrows slightly. As the “know-it-all” of the Imperial Capital, how could she not know about the engagement between Yao Anna and Jiang Nian’an?

Yao Anna glanced behind the Alpha and, seeing the group of people still waiting for Jiang Nian’an, she offered a sarcastic, forced smile. “President Jiang, there are still people waiting for you. Isn’t it a bit impolite to ditch your own people and come over without even a greeting?”

Jiang Nian’an stared intently at Yao Anna’s provocative smile, her beautiful eyes darkening.

She did come out to dinner with another Alpha after all!

Only the dinner companion had changed from Rong Jingxi to Pei Congling!

“Is President Pei suggesting that I misunderstood?”

“Of course.”

Pei Congling pretended to check the time on her lady’s wristwatch and smiled apologetically. “I’m sorry, I have things to attend to later. Miss Yao and I will be going now.”

With that said, Pei Congling turned and led Yao Anna out of the hotel without looking back.
