- Chapter 2 - Scumbag Alpha, Vile Omega – A Match Made in Heaven!
The air seemed to freeze in an instant. Yao Zhenzhen’s eyes widened sharply, as if they were about to pop out, her face a mask of disbelief. She never in a million years imagined such words would come from Yao Anna’s mouth. Could it be that the person before her already knew something?
Looking at Yao Zhenzhen, who was so easily startled, Yao Anna suddenly burst into loud laughter. The sound echoed through the entire room, and tears even streamed down her cheeks, yet the laughter was filled with endless sorrow and mockery.
“I originally thought you were something special.”
“Yao Zhenzhen, today I want you to remember this clearly: what belongs to me can only be mine. Even if I personally destroy it completely, it is absolutely impossible for it to fall into your hands! I will go to this audition myself. As for you… as long as I, Yao Anna, am alive in this world, you will never have a chance to rise again!”
“You, you bitch! Your mom is dead, and you still dare to be so arrogant!” Yao Zhenzhen’s face turned green with rage, her features twisted and distorted. Anger made her lose her mind. She raised her hand and viciously slapped it towards Yao Anna.
This slap was heavy and powerful. If it had landed on her face, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
Yao Anna merely shifted her body slightly, easily evading the strike. Immediately after, she swiftly grabbed Yao Zhenzhen’s wrist, gave a forceful flick, and threw her directly onto the bed behind her.
“You actually dared to lay a hand on me?” Yao Zhenzhen stared at the person in front of her with wide eyes and a face full of disbelief, her voice trembling with anger as she said, “Yao Anna, did you sleep and somehow become an idiot?”
A full twenty years! For these twenty years, her older sister had always been obedient, well-behaved, and sensible. Forget about striking someone, she had never even raised her voice in the Yao family, and her temperament was incredibly gentle and mild. But why did she seem like a completely different person today?
“Why wouldn’t I dare? My little sister is so ill-mannered. If I don’t teach you, are you planning to go out and embarrass the Yao family later?” Yao Anna said with a fake smile, her arms crossed over her chest, eyes lowered.
“Well, your mother was just an opportunistic mistress, only good at seducing other people’s husbands. What kind of child could such a woman possibly give birth to?”
“Yao Anna! You bitch, I’m not finished with you!” Hearing this, Yao Zhenzhen’s face flushed crimson with rage, her body shaking. She jumped off the bed in a rush, grabbed the chair by the dressing table, and fiercely threw it at Yao Anna.
A loud crash echoed through the villa, carrying all the way downstairs.
“What is going on!”
Downstairs, Yao Guangming was reading the newspaper. Hearing such a big commotion upstairs, he slapped the newspaper down onto the table with a “snap.” He folded his gold-rimmed glasses, then angrily went upstairs and kicked the door open.
“What are you two arguing about!”
Inside the room, the two girls were tangled up in a chaotic fight.
Zheng Xiulan also noticed the commotion and hurriedly followed. The moment she entered the room, she saw Yao Zhenzhen sitting on the floor, her makeup smeared with tears.
The once tidy floor was now a mess, as if swept through by a sudden storm. Clothes were carelessly piled up, some wrinkled and hanging on the back of a chair; pillows had lost their original shape, either lying haphazardly in the corners or crumpled into strange shapes scattered on the floor.
“Zhenzhen, what are you doing messing around in your sister’s room!” Zheng Xiulan paused for just a moment, then her expression immediately changed: “Your sister has a fever, why can’t you be more accommodating? What is so important that you have to argue like this?”
“Mom, sister is bullying me!” Yao Zhenzhen cried out, timidly glancing at Yao Guangming again. Her eyes were watery, looking as wronged as possible.
“I merely saw that sister was still sick and wanted to show concern, but she got angry and tried to kick me out!”
Zheng Xiulan took a look and fixed her gaze on the dress on the floor.
Yao Guangming might not recognize it, but she knew it very well!
Such a nice dress, and it was torn just like that?
Her eyes shifted, she glared at Yao Zhenzhen, and then pulled her up: “If your sister tells you to leave, you leave. It wouldn’t hurt to be more tolerant. Anna is still sick, it’s normal to have some emotions.”
Some emotions?
Yao Anna raised her eyes and looked at Zheng Xiulan.
So, the implication was still that she was the one being unreasonable?
“Honey, please don’t blame this child. It must be Zhenzhen being thoughtless and disturbing Anna’s rest. Otherwise, why would she get so angry for no reason? Look, the dress on the floor is ruined. What a pity.”
Zheng Xiulan spoke sincerely, then gave Yao Zhenzhen a pretend tap on the head: “Quick, apologize to your sister!”
“Mom, you always take sister’s side!” Yao Zhenzhen tearfully threw herself into Yao Guangming’s arms, crying heartbrokenly: “Dad, sister is so fierce. Is she still angry about yesterday?”
“Good girl, it’s not your fault. The bathroom door breaking wasn’t your fault. It was her bad luck that she was locked in overnight!”
Yao Guangming gently patted Yao Zhenzhen’s back, murmuring softly: “There, there, don’t cry…”
However, this didn’t help. Yao Zhenzhen cried even harder, tears rolling down like a string of broken pearls.
Finally, Yao Zhenzhen wiped her tears, obediently picked up the scattered items on the floor, and said to Yao Anna, “Sister, I haven’t had a chance to explain about what happened yesterday. It really had nothing to do with me.”
“Please don’t misunderstand me, okay? Zhenzhen loves big sister the most.”
Yao Anna narrowed her eyes, watching the show unfolding before her.
With this level of performance, if they didn’t award Yao Zhenzhen an Oscar statuette and crown her a new-generation Best Actress, it would be an injustice to her compelling acting!
“Anna!” Yao Guangming’s chest heaved violently with anger: “Why don’t you act like an older sister at all? Zhenzhen is so much younger than you. She specially came to visit you. If you have anger, don’t vent it out at home! If you have the guts, go ask the hotel why the bathroom door was broken!”
“What kind of tantrum are you throwing at your sister!”
“Dad, it’s my fault. Please don’t be angry with big sister.” Yao Zhenzhen stood between the two, crying so beautifully she looked like a rain-kissed pear blossom.
“It was my fault for not taking good care of big sister.” Yao Zhenzhen’s eyes turned red again as she spoke, and large tears fell despite her ‘utmost’ efforts to hold them back.
“Sister was angry just now because I told her that I also wanted to audition for the role in Phoenix Nirvana. Sister got very mad and said that because I’m my mother’s child, so…”
“So what?” Yao Guangming’s patience was completely exhausted!
Yao Zhenzhen lowered her head, subtly curving the corner of her lips, then looked up and said pitifully, “So I’m not worthy. Sister said… she said I’m just the child of a mistress, and I don’t deserve such a good role.”
Yao Guangming was trembling all over with anger. He pointed at the tip of Yao Anna’s nose and cursed furiously: “Your mother died early, and now no one can control you in this house, is that it? Huh? Are you looking down on Xiulan or are you looking down on me?”
Bringing that up didn’t help; instead, Yao Anna’s face completely chilled. She asked abruptly in return, “What do you think?”
“You—”
“You unfilial daughter!”
Yao Guangming looked around and grabbed a hanger, about to strike Yao Anna, but Zheng Xiulan pretended to hold him back.
Yao Anna watched their struggle, feeling utterly disgusted.
“You want that role so badly? I’m telling you, Yao Anna, you will immediately give that role to Zhenzhen, and you will go home and properly reflect! Otherwise, I will completely blacklist you in the entertainment industry!”
“Blacklist?” Yao Anna immediately laughed: “Blacklist me? Are you worthy?”
“What do you think the entertainment industry is? Is it your personal turf, Mr. Yao? You think you can blacklist me just by saying so?”
Hilarious!
The Yao family certainly had involvement in the entertainment industry, but they hadn’t reached the point where one word from them could rule everything. If her position, which she had worked so hard for all these years, could be destroyed just like that, wouldn’t her efforts have been for nothing?
Yao Anna rolled her eyes, quickly tidied up, put on a coat, and headed out.
She didn’t want to stay in this house for another minute.
Yao Anna rushed toward the door, but before she took a few steps, she bumped into a soft embrace.
Hmm, really soft. She looked up.
Jiang Nian’an?
What was she doing here?
Damn it, talk about hitting rock bottom!
In her previous life, right after Yao Zhenzhen snatched her role, this ‘good’ Alpha fiancé of hers abandoned her and got together with Yao Zhenzhen.
A scumbag Alpha and a vile Omega—a match made in heaven!
I’m not playing with you guys anymore!
