- The Master Possessed An Innate Charm, Irresistibly Seducing His Young Disciple
- Chapter 23 - What? This Is the Demon Realm? Let Us Get Out of Here!
After their relationship took a step forward, Li Sichen suddenly lost the boldness he had shown when he forcibly kissed Yu Huaixin. With a flushed face, he shrank back into a corner. Anyone seeing him would have thought he was the one who had been forced.
In contrast to Li Sichen’s reaction, Yu Huaixin, having had his first taste of love, wore an expression sweeter than honey. His eyes were filled with longing and anticipation for a happy future. He leaned in to look at Li Sichen, who appeared as flustered as a new bride, and tenderly bit down on Li Sichen’s bright red lips.
Li Sichen could not bring himself to criticize Yu Huaixin’s kissing technique. It was certainly a form of a kiss, albeit a clumsy one.
“Xiao Chen, from now on, let us stay like this. Is that all right?”
“Master, are you serious? Do you truly like me?”
Yu Huaixin answered without hesitation, “Of course. Your Master likes Xiao Chen best.”
“I see.” Li Sichen’s expression suddenly turned contemplative as he whispered, “But doing such things just because of desire does not count as liking someone.” Anyone can feel desire, but love means only wanting to be with the person in front of you.
Li Sichen was not sure if he had developed feelings for Yu Huaixin solely because of his extraordinary appearance. However, he was certain that since that day, his heart could hold no one else. No matter how beautiful or alluring another person might be, they could not compare to Yu Huaixin.
That was how he felt, but what about the other? Did Yu Huaixin think the same?
“Of course it counts. Your Master has always liked Xiao Chen. I want to give all the best things to you. If you think my understanding is incorrect, you can teach me slowly over time. How about that?”
Li Sichen felt that his words made a lot of sense. “All right.”
Seeing Li Sichen nod, Yu Huaixin happily leaned in to kiss him again. Li Sichen blushed and dodged, letting out a small cough. “Well, Master, should we go out now? We should not delay finding Wu Minye any longer.”
He had to admit that Yu Huaixin was quite aggressive when it came to kissing. His lips were already swollen and numb. Knowing how compromised he must look, Li Sichen feared his lips would be ruined if this continued. He was simply too passionate.
Yu Huaixin obediently stopped pressing him, though his eyes held undisguised disappointment and a hint of a grievance.
Li Sichen felt guilty. He felt he deserved to be punished for rejecting him.
“She likely obtained what she needed that day, which is why she has been quiet recently,” Yu Huaixin explained. “There are two ways to find her. First, we wait near the wedding hall. Second, we find her lair and force her out. Which method do you prefer, Xiao Chen?”
Li Sichen thought for a moment and replied, “The first method is too passive. We do not know when she will appear. I prefer the second method so we can take the initiative and ensure nothing goes wrong. However, she mentioned she has a master. I am afraid that even if we find her, the two of us might not be a match for them.”
“I will listen to you. Do not worry, Xiao Chen. Your Master is very powerful! Even if they all attacked at once, they would be no match for me.”
Li Sichen wondered, if that were true, why was he so easily captured for that wedding earlier? It must have all been a facade.
Li Sichen asked Yu Huaixin how they would find the lair. Yu Huaixin gave a mysterious smile and said he had his own ways. Li Sichen did not press further and followed him boldly.
He saw Yu Huaixin manifest a palm sized golden crane from his hand and transfer a string of runes into it. As the crane flew off in a specific direction, Yu Huaixin summoned his spiritual sword, the Yuxue Sword, and took Li Sichen with him to fly through the air.
As Yu Huaixin controlled the sword, Li Sichen stood behind him, wrapping his arms around his waist and enjoying their private world. Though they were flying very high, Li Sichen did not mind as he was not afraid of heights.
He did not know how many more of these free and happy moments they would have, so he cherished every second. Looking at Yu Huaixin’s focused profile, he could not bring himself to look away, wishing to etch this scene into his memory forever.
“Yu Huaixin”
“What did Xiao Chen say?”
The wind was too loud. Li Sichen had said something behind him, but Yu Huaixin had not heard it clearly and asked him to repeat it.
Li Sichen replied, “It was nothing.”
If he did not hear it, it was for the best. It was better that Yu Huaixin did not hear those words.
Yu Huaixin did not agree. Not getting the answer he wanted made him feel quite bothered. His unhappiness was written all over his face, and his tone was full of disappointment. “Does Xiao Chen no longer like your Master?”
Li Sichen denied it immediately. “Master is the best. No one can compare.”
“Then why are you keeping secrets from me?”
Li Sichen gave in and whispered into his ear, “I said earlier that Master is the best.”
“Xiao Chen is lying. You have learned to be naughty.”
Li Sichen remained silent.
The flight started out normally, but as they went on, the route seemed increasingly wrong. Li Sichen felt the landscape looked familiar, and he had a growing sense of foreboding. Before long, they arrived at Wu Minye’s lair: the Demon Realm.
Yu Huaixin looked solemn. Li Sichen felt conflicted. He tentatively reached out to poke the back of Yu Huaixin’s hand and spoke earnestly. “Master, how about we use the first method and go back?”
The Demon Realm was teeming with demonic creatures, and the Demon Palace consisted of seventy two halls. Each hall was guarded by one of the world’s most wicked demons. Furthermore, the Demon Lord who ruled the entire realm, Feng Ji, was notoriously brutal and possessed unknown strength. Even the entire immortal realm combined might not be a match for him, let alone just the two of them.
Li Sichen was most afraid of Yu Huaixin falling into Feng Ji’s hands again. Even if Feng Ji did not remember torturing Yu Huaixin in the past, no good would come of it. Li Sichen could not take that risk. It was simply not worth putting Yu Huaixin in danger for the sake of a minor character.
Yu Huaixin stared intensely at the dark plaque of the Demon Palace, appearing as though he wanted to test its strength. Li Sichen truly wanted to knock him out and carry him back. In fact, he did exactly that. He picked Yu Huaixin up without a word and fled as fast as he could on the sword.
Li Sichen wanted to seek justice for Yu Huaixin, but he needed time to level up first. When he was strong enough to take on the entire Demon Realm alone, he would personally deal with Feng Ji.
Meanwhile, inside the Demon Palace, after nearly three days of healing, the wound on Feng Ji’s chest had mostly closed, though it still throbbed slightly. He expected to make a full recovery after more rest. At that moment, he caught a familiar scent. In an instant, he knew who had arrived. A cruel and treacherous smile spread across his lips. “Do you miss me so soon? Heh. Beauty, this time, I will definitely make you stay.”
“Your subordinate greets the Demon Lord.” Wu Minye walked forward obediently to await his orders.
Feng Ji said coldly, “Go out and capture him for me.”
Wu Minye did not understand his intent. She was not the strongest in the Demon Realm; she was just a minor figure who had recently turned from human to demon. Why was the task of capturing someone given to her? Regardless, it was Feng Ji’s command.
Wu Minye bowed. “Yes. Your subordinate will go at once.”
