The Mad/Beautiful Movie Queen Heard My Inner Voice After Losing Her Memory - Chapter 7
Chapter 7
The ambulance arrived at the hospital quickly. Yu Guiyao finished getting her stitches; both hands were bandaged and would require fourteen days before the sutures could be removed.
She looked at Fu Wenchen, who had stayed by her side the entire time, and intended to suggest they leave the hospital separately. To her surprise, the other woman pulled her into a hospital room and approached her, asking, “Bank card number, phone number…”
“And, what is your name?”
As she asked, the woman’s beautiful peach-blossom eyes stared at her, stepping closer with every word. Her dark hair was half-tied up, soft strands fluttering at her temples. The floral ornament between her brows burned like a fire phoenix, contrasting against her porcelain-white skin, making her look like a delicate pink-and-white peach blossom.
The light and shadow traced the contours of her face—cold and ethereal like a deity, an exquisite and perfect painting from the hand of a creator, possessing a soul-stirring beauty.
Yu Guiyao took a step back until she was pressed against the wall, seemingly subdued by the woman’s aura. She answered subconsciously, “Yu Guiyao…”
“Yu Guiyao?”
“Guiyao…”
Fu Wenchen murmured the name softly, her thick eyelashes fluttering, her eyes shimmering as if starlight were flowing within them.
It was clearly the same three syllables, yet for some reason, hearing them repeated between the woman’s lips made Yu Guiyao feel like her cheeks were burning.
Then, while she was still dazed, Fu Wenchen stuffed a phone into her hand. The screen showed a transfer page with the amount: 100,000.
One hundred thousand!
“Th-that’s too much…” Yu Guiyao quickly began typing her bank card number into the transfer page while saying sheepishly, “I usually only accept money earned through my own labor—only what I deserve. Taking anything else makes me feel uneasy.”
“Alright then.”
Yu Guiyao had only said that to be polite, but she didn’t expect Fu Wenchen to let out a faint curl of her lips. The actress immediately deleted a zero from the transfer amount and asked, “Is this still too much?”
“Should I delete another digit?”
Yu Guiyao: “…”
“No, no need…”
There was really no need to delete a whole zero!
Looking at that lonely 10,000, her heart was bleeding.
One hundred thousand turned into ten thousand; she hated her own hypocritical mouth. Why did she have to be so “principled”? She should have just taken it. The other person was being generous, yet she was the one acting pretentious!
…
Fu Wenchen watched her the entire time. She saw the girl’s expressionless face but heard the constant wailing in her heart.
Hearing those inner thoughts, a smile rippled in Fu Wenchen’s eyes. She sent the ten thousand yuan and comforted her: “This is just the first payment. I want you to do something for me. Once it’s done, one million won’t be a problem.”
One million!
Yu Guiyao’s eyes widened instantly. She spoke up immediately: “Money is just a worldly possession! The main thing is that I’m your fan! The kind that would go through fire and water for you! Movie Queen, please give me your orders! I will definitely get it done!”
She’s a fan now?
“Really?” Fu Wenchen smiled softly, seemingly understanding the weakness of this post-amnesia version of her.
This person… really loved money.
At that thought, a hint of charm flickered in the corners of Fu Wenchen’s eyes. She took another step closer, pinning Yu Guiyao against the wall with no room for retreat. Then, she reached out, pulled off her belt, and slowly began to unbutton her clothes.
Yu Guiyao: “!!!”
No, wait, why are you taking off your clothes?!
The outfit was a period costume, still damp and clinging to Fu Wenchen’s body. As the belt fell away, it revealed the white inner garment beneath.
Perhaps for the sake of the role, Fu Wenchen wasn’t wearing a bra; instead, she wore a crimson “Mandarin Duck” dudou (bodice). The thin red straps were tied around her neck. Her slender fingertips hooked the inner garment open, revealing the bodice pressed tight against her skin.
The mandarin ducks embroidered on the fabric looked lifelike. The fiery red material made her skin look snowy white. The fabric curved over her chest, where embroidered red plum blossoms seemed to bloom, their petals stretching out.
Yu Guiyao had already jerked her head away, her ears flushed as if filled with blood. She didn’t dare look directly at her. “Wh-why are you taking off your clothes?!”
The next second, before Fu Wenchen could explain, the door to the room was suddenly pushed open.
They forgot to lock the door!
Yu Guiyao reacted first. In a split second, she reached out, wrapped her arm around the woman’s waist, spun her around, and pinned her against the wall, using her own body to shield her.
Her only thought was that this disheveled appearance must not be seen by anyone else…
She had no idea that her thoughts were falling straight into the other woman’s ears. Fu Wenchen shuddered instantly, a sunset-like flush climbing up her cheeks.
She was huddled in the woman’s arms, her waist tightly encircled by the other’s arm. Their bodies were pressed together, soft and fragrant.
In that moment, a tingling sensation seemed to rise from the base of her spine. Smelling that familiar scent, her legs went weak, and she nearly couldn’t stand. She could only grab tightly onto the other girl’s T-shirt.
They were too close. Yu Guiyao kept her head down, her hot breath unintentionally blowing against Fu Wenchen’s ear. The moment she looked down, her gaze froze.
The woman’s ears were crimson, her soft dark hair framing them gently. Her eyes were downcast, her lips bitten, and her thick lashes cast a shadow. That face was beautiful and exquisite, the mole at the corner of her eye carrying an endless allure, her porcelain skin seemingly stained with a thin layer of rouge.
Looking further down, a thin red strap was tied around her slender neck. Below the strap was a field of snowy white. The red bodice was squeezed and loosened by the pressure of their bodies, and the deep cleavage visible there made the heat rise.
Yu Guiyao quickly closed her eyes, her mind sounding like a battlefield with warning bells ringing.
See no evil, see no evil, see no evil!
She quickly released her arm from the woman’s waist and used both elbows to prop herself against the wall, turning her head away to avoid contact as much as possible, hoping the person at the door would leave quickly.
But whether intentionally or not, Fu Wenchen insisted on pressing tightly into her embrace, her hands clutching the sides of Yu Guiyao’s T-shirt, her soft body leaning in.
Yu Guiyao’s entire face turned red.
Fortunately, the assistant who opened the door saw them hugging and immediately understood, quickly closing the door.
As the sound of the door shutting echoed, Yu Guiyao hurried to let go and quickly pulled the woman’s clothes back together, her voice trembling: “What are you doing?”
“You misunderstood me.”
To her surprise, Fu Wenchen calmly brushed her hand away. She then pulled the inner garment open again to let her see clearly: “I just wanted you to see my scars.”
“Huh?”
Yu Guiyao, who had already turned away, looked back upon hearing this. Her gaze landed on the woman’s body.
The woman’s fingertips lifted the hem of the bodice, revealing her slender waist. On the pinkish-white skin were several red scars. Her navel was small and delicate. Her hand then slowly moved upward, stroking the scars and reaching beneath the fabric.
“There are many more. Do you want to see? Further up…”
Accompanied by these suggestive words, Fu Wenchen’s gaze was frantic and intense, staring at her fixedly.
However, Yu Guiyao’s attention was entirely on the scars on her waist. Her face turned bright red as she waved her hands: “No, no need to see them.”
“I just wanted to tell you that many similar things have happened before. Many people want to kill me. These scars are the proof.” Only then did Fu Wenchen stop her movements. She changed her expression to one of pale, bitter smiling and continued, “I’m very grateful to you for saving me today. If it weren’t for you, I would have been at death’s door again.”
“How can that be? This is a society ruled by law.” Yu Guiyao’s heart trembled. Startled by the woman’s vulnerable appearance, she felt she had overreacted earlier. Perhaps the woman really didn’t have “those” intentions and just wanted to show her the scars.
Moreover, this was too tragic. A glorious Movie Queen, yet she had to live in constant fear.
Hearing her thoughts, Fu Wenchen looked up and smiled again. She told her: “I showed you because I think you have great skills. I want to hire you as my personal bodyguard. 100,000 a month. Are you willing?”
One hundred thousand a month?!
“My skills are indeed very good!” Yu Guiyao reacted instantly, saying seriously: “To tell you the truth, I can lift a hundred pounds easily. I can carry bags for an hour without losing my breath! Choosing me as your bodyguard is the best decision you could make!”
Seeing her exaggerated manner, Fu Wenchen was amused into a laugh. She slowly tied her clothes back together and handed her phone over: “Add my phone number and private account.”
“You got it!” Yu Guiyao quickly took the phone to comply, her heart racing with excitement.
How did she manage to find a job that paid a hundred thousand a month? It was like a pie falling from the sky. Fu Wenchen was simply too kind!
In the midst of her excitement, Fu Wenchen smiled again, her gaze turning serious as she revealed her next goal: “The incident at the set is already trending. My residence has been exposed, and I have nowhere to go. Can I hide out at your place?”
“I’ll pay a lodging fee. 20,000 a month.”
Twenty thousand a month?!
This time Yu Guiyao was a bit more level-headed. Considering the practical situation, she said: “You’re a big star. If people find you at my place, it will be even more dangerous…”
“I won’t be found.”
Fu Wenchen walked to the door and opened it.
The assistant waiting outside handed her a pile of things. She brought them into the room and began changing in front of Yu Guiyao, saying: “I will go in disguise. I won’t affect your family.”
Seeing her stripping down to the bodice again, Yu Guiyao quickly turned around, feeling very embarrassed: “It’s okay, but next time you change, could you go to the bathroom…”
“We’re both women, what does it matter?” Fu Wenchen’s eyes flickered. She pressed her advantage: “Unless… you like girls?”
How did the conversation get here?!
Yu Guiyao was stunned for a long time before finally confessing subconsciously: “Um, yeah, I do like…”
Then she praised the other: “You’re really brave. You’re the first female star in the industry who dared to be open about her sexual orientation…”
She had heard from her best friend Lin Xiao that Fu Wenchen had a “white moonlight” (first love/ideal) she had loved for many years, and it was a girl. Every anniversary, Fu Wenchen would post messages of longing on her social media, never hiding that it was a public platform or the gender of the person.
She assumed that “white moonlight” must be Fu Qingdu. To keep loving someone for so long was truly impressive. She admired that.
She also liked girls; even her recent “spring dream” featured a girl. She just didn’t dare tell her grandmother, fearing it would upset her.
Thinking of this, she subconsciously tugged at the hem of her shirt.
Unexpectedly, in the next second, Fu Wenchen leaned half her body around from behind her, curling her lips into a question: “Do you have someone you like?”
By now, Fu Wenchen had changed into simple clothes and was wearing sunglasses. Her thin red lips were curved slightly, glistening with a hydrated glow. Even though she was dressed simply, the tight jeans still highlighted her perfect figure. She wore a black camisole under a white knit cardigan, her dark hair cascading over her shoulders, giving her a unique aura.
To any observant person, she still looked like Fu Wenchen! How was this a disguise?
For some reason, Yu Guiyao felt nervous every time she made eye contact or spoke with her, yet there was an indescribable sense of familiarity, as if the woman was very close to her.
So she subconsciously said: “I do have someone I like. Also, this disguise won’t work. We’ll be recognized as soon as we go out.”
“You have someone you like?!” Fu Wenchen’s focus seemed wrong. Her expression instantly turned cold, her thin lips pressed tight as if she were suppressing something.
Yu Guiyao was stunned.
Yes, although I’ve only met that girl once—in that dream in the attic. And I don’t even know what she looks like…
It was probably just her imagination. Based on the feeling, the girl must be soft and delicate, constantly calling her “Sister.”
But in the end, it was just a fleeting dream.
Yu Guiyao was lost in thought, failing to notice the changing expression of the woman in front of her.
A deep flush spread across Fu Wenchen’s face. The coldness vanished, replaced by a shimmer of tears in her eyes.
The little attic…
So “Sister” still remembered that night. She had even dreamed about it.
Dreamed about them being intertwined, lost in a intoxicating entanglement.
Did “Sister” actually like her?
But that night…
