The Junior Sister Isn't Flirtatious At All; It's All Their Fault for Being Too Seductive - Chapter 89
Jiang Luoyue smiled as she introduced the men to Lu Yuan. “These are my Dao companions—Yue Wenqiu, Lin Xi…”
As soon as Lu Yuan heard this, he understood everything. This was the famous Jiang Luoyue! Because of her, many high-level female cultivators in the cultivation world had begun following her example, keeping more than one “pretty boy” by their side. Yet, looking at her, who wouldn’t want to be with her? She was as breathtakingly beautiful as she was powerful.
Lu Yuan bowed respectfully to the group. “I am the only legitimate son of the Lu family, a cultivation clan.”
The Lu family wasn’t particularly famous, though they were well-regarded by commoners in the city outskirts for solving local troubles. However, Lu Yuan’s branch was a single-line succession. His father had lost his life years ago hunting spirit beasts, leaving his mother—a mortal with no cultivation—to struggle alone to protect the family and Lu Yuan.
“Unfortunately, I am no genius,” Lu Yuan said, nearly moved to tears. “I began my path at eight, and now, at nineteen, I have only barely reached the Foundation Establishment stage. I can protect neither my mother nor myself. My uncles want to seize our family estate. They set a condition: only if I obtain the inner core of a Golden Core stage beast will they recognize my ability and allow me to become the Clan Head.”
Hearing this, Jiang Luoyue felt a pang of sympathy.
“Actually, I have an idea,” Li Changting said, though he shot a guilty look toward Jiang Luoyue.
“What’s with that face? Did you do something behind Luoyue’s back?” Lin Xi teased, eager for some drama.
Li Changting waved his hands frantically. “Of course not!”
“It’s about the Purple Violet Peak, isn’t it?” Jiang Luoyue asked.
Yue Wenqiu was surprised she still remembered the place. “You don’t mean to have the Song family align with the Purple Violet Peak, do you?”
“Yes. It’s just that the Purple Violet Peak is a small sect; I don’t know if you would mind,” Li Changting explained. “My junior brothers and sisters aren’t doing too well. It would be better to find a cultivation clan so we can support one another.”
The phrase “support one another” made Lu Yuan realize this was a minor sect. Though the great Dongyue Sect was nearby, a giant like that wouldn’t spare a glance for a small family like his. He nodded eagerly. “How could I mind? The Lu family has dwindled; we have few cultivators left to guard us. I only fear our offerings won’t be much.”
“As I said, we will support each other,” Li Changting said with a smile.
Lu Yuan almost left his seat to kneel in gratitude, but Yue Wenqiu held him down. “Just eat your dinner.”
Lu Yuan was stunned. He hadn’t expected a master like Jiang Luoyue to be so good-tempered.
After dinner, Jiang Luoyue and Yue Wenqiu accompanied Lu Yuan back to his home.
In truth, Jiang Luoyue didn’t think it was necessary for Yue Wenqiu to come along. But he insisted, and the other men agreed—they were terrified that if Jiang Luoyue went out alone, she would bring back yet another man.
When they arrived, Lu Yuan’s uncles were already there, making life difficult for his mother despite their agreement to wait for the beast core. Jiang Luoyue didn’t waste words. With a casual flick of her finger, a surge of spiritual energy tore a massive rift in the ground between Lu Yuan’s mother and the rowdy relatives.
One relative tumbled into the crack, desperately clawing at the edge. “Who?! Who did that? Pull me up!”
Jiang Luoyue stepped forward gracefully, a gentle smile on her face. “I did.”
The Lu clansmen were momentarily dazed by her fairy-like beauty, but seeing her attire, they knew she was no ordinary cultivator.
“Are you the helper that brat called in? Stay out of our family business!” the man barked after being pulled up.
“The Lu family is now a clan under my protection,” Jiang Luoyue said calmly. She released a fraction of her pressure. The clansmen were instantly forced to the ground, blood trickling from their eyes and ears. She pulled back the pressure just as quickly, maintaining her composure.
In their eyes, her cultivation was unfathomable.
“I am a Mahayana stage cultivator,” Jiang Luoyue said with a faint smile. She didn’t care about their names or their lives; she was simply there to give Lu Yuan the backing he needed.
The crowd trembled in terror.
Lu Yuan produced the beast core. “According to our pact, I am now the Head of the Lu family. I will move my household out of here within three days. Mother, we are leaving. We will take Father’s memorial tablet with us.”
Before they left, Jiang Luoyue gifted Lu Yuan a sword. “Yun Jian forged this. It has no name yet; you should name it yourself. It belongs only to you.”
To her, it was a trifle; to Lu Yuan, it was a priceless treasure. He accepted it joyfully. “Thank you, Benefactor! Please, stay the night. My mother is a wonderful cook; let her prepare a meal for you.”
Jiang Luoyue and Yue Wenqiu accepted. Later that night, in the room prepared for them, Yue Wenqiu pulled Jiang Luoyue into his arms as soon as she sat on the bed.
“Do you like him?” he asked, his voice thick with jealousy. He had accepted the others before because he wasn’t strong enough to protect her alone, but now that she was a Mahayana master, he didn’t want any more competition.
“No! Why would you think that?” Jiang Luoyue laughed. “So that’s why you’ve all been looking at me with such resentment lately. It was a misunderstanding!”
“I saw you busying yourself for his sake, so I thought…”
“I just thought he was pitiful and wanted to help,” she interrupted.
Yue Wenqiu glanced at her meaningfully. “You thought Jiang Luoxing was ‘pitiful’ at first, too.”
“But my pity for Luoxing wasn’t pure from the start,” Jiang Luoyue admitted guiltily, fidgeting with her fingers.
“And this time it is?” Yue Wenqiu asked, a bit huffy. He was still a little hurt that she had been “impure” in her intentions toward Luoxing while she already had him.
Jiang Luoyue nodded quickly. Seeing his unhappiness, she leaned in and kissed his cheek. “In your eyes, am I really that insatiable?”
Yue Wenqiu looked at her with eyes full of affection and a hint of a pout. Unlike Luoxing’s natural acting, Wenqiu’s grievance was more reserved—and Jiang Luoyue found it irresistible.
When they returned home the next day, Jiang Luoxing and Lin Xi were peering behind them. “Just the two of you?”
“Were you hoping for someone else?” Jiang Luoyue teased, pinching Luoxing’s cheek.
“Of course not! It’s just that you’re so soft-hearted, Sister…” Luoxing pouted and looked away.
“You’re not a little boy anymore, stop acting innocent,” Lin Xi rolled his eyes. Luoxing ignored him, but his hand hidden in his sleeve gave Lin Xi a sharp pinch.
Jiang Luoyue laughed softly. “Having all of you is more than enough for me.”
She leaned into Lin Xi, hugging his arm and whispering into his ear, “Tonight, I want to play with your big tail.”
Lin Xi huffed. “So now you remember how good I am.” Inside, however, he was gloating. Out of all these men, only he had a soft, fluffy tail that his wife could use as a pillow. He truly was the most special.
Though she whispered, the others—all being powerful cultivators—heard her perfectly. They all pretended they hadn’t. To keep a household harmonious, one had to learn when to yield.
