- The Junior Sister Isn't Flirtatious At All; It's All Their Fault for Being Too Seductive
- Chapter 20 - We Have a Home Now
She sat at the table, sipping the porridge slowly. Jiang Luoxing stood behind her, massaging her shoulders and waist.
Hearing her question, Jiang Luoxing’s hand movements paused.
Jiang Luoxing felt a little embarrassed. When he woke up this morning, he had a faint ache in his lower abdomen. The pain wasn’t sharp, but rather a sour, distended ache that came in waves.
But I wasn’t especially wild last night, so why would this happen?
Jiang Luoxing couldn’t help but doubt his performance in that regard. He was only just eighteen. If he was like this already, how could he keep Older Sister satisfied in the future?
Seeing Jiang Luoxing’s hesitant expression, Jiang Luoyue knew he was definitely uncomfortable, but she didn’t understand why he looked so miserable, on the verge of tears.
“What’s wrong? Just say it if you’re uncomfortable. What’s the big deal?” Jiang Luoyue tilted her head to look at him.
Jiang Luoxing turned his face away, embarrassed. “Older Sister, I… I might be… inadequate… I don’t know why my lower abdomen hurts a little…”
Hearing his words, Jiang Luoyue immediately understood his thoughts and couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Seeing her laugh so boisterously, Jiang Luoxing became even more flustered.
“You might be developing spiritual roots,” Jiang Luoyue grabbed his hand, her bright, cat-like eyes blinking at him. “Are you happy?”
Jiang Luoyue wasn’t stupid. She could naturally sense Jiang Luoxing’s sensitivity about his mortal status. Without spiritual roots, he must have always felt inferior.
“Is… is that true?” Jiang Luoxing asked. “Why would it suddenly happen…”
Jiang Luoxing couldn’t think of any major change in his life. He had been staying at the East Mount Sect, unable to spar with the disciples, cooped up in the courtyard all day, just waiting for Yue Wenqiu to bring good news of “finding Older Sister.”
The only change was last night.
“Older Sister, you…” Jiang Luoxing figured it all out, his dog-like eyes wide with disbelief as he looked at her.
Jiang Luoyue placed her finger against her own lips. “Shhh—”
“Don’t tell anyone this secret yet,” Jiang Luoyue said. “If outsiders knew I had such a miraculous effect, what kind of situation do you think I would fall into?”
Jiang Luoxing nodded. He understood. If outsiders knew that dual cultivation with his Older Sister could produce spiritual roots and increase cultivation, they would surely seize her and make her a forbidden toy.
Therefore, he must keep this secret.
“I will cultivate diligently and protect Older Sister. I will absolutely stop being a burden,” starlight twinkled in Jiang Luoxing’s eyes. “But, should we tell Young Master Yue…”
“I’ll tell him later,” Jiang Luoyue said with a smile.
“Do you two get along well?” Jiang Luoyue suddenly wondered. If she took both of them along, would they fight? And later, adding Gu Wangfeng…
Jiang Luoyue felt a headache coming on just thinking about it. She suddenly understood why men with multiple wives and concubines insisted on marrying a sensible, broad-minded principal wife. They had to choose someone who could manage the household affairs as the head of the family.
“We get along well,” Jiang Luoxing’s eyes curved into crescent moons. “I will definitely get along well with Young Master Yue.”
Jiang Luoyue nodded. She trusted Yue Wenqiu. That guy always maintained a gentlemanly demeanor and was very tolerant towards those younger than him.
A dependable, ‘male-mother’ figure.
Just as Jiang Luoyue thought of him, Yue Wenqiu arrived.
Jiang Luoxing hadn’t closed the door, so when Yue Wenqiu walked into the courtyard, he saw the two of them huddled together in intimate closeness.
“Luoyue…” Before Yue Wenqiu could finish speaking, he noticed the red marks on her neck. The expression on his face immediately froze, and his breathing quickened, as if he was desperately suppressing something.
But he already knew, didn’t he? Jiang Luoxing isn’t her biological brother, Yue Wenqiu thought.
Jiang Luoyue noticed his look of disappointment and tugged at her collar.
Yue Wenqiu quickly composed himself, looking at Jiang Luoyue with a gentle gaze. “Luoyue, when you leave, can you truly not take me with you?”
“I’ve spoken to my parents, and they both agreed to let me go down the mountain,” Yue Wenqiu said.
He initially thought his parents wouldn’t agree, but unexpectedly, both of them encouraged him to go, saying something like the East Mount Sect wouldn’t vanish without its eldest young master, and at worst, they would just make another one.
Yue Wenqiu was helpless, but he would be willing if his parents could truly bless him with a younger sibling. However, the higher a cultivator’s cultivation, the harder it was to conceive, so this was likely just a joke.
“Yes, I can,” Jiang Luoyue said with a mysterious smile. “I have a rare treasure that can be used to take you both along.”
“What is it?”
“Ta-da—the Floating Abode.” An artifact appeared in Jiang Luoyue’s palm. She relayed the System’s introduction to them exactly as she heard it.
“How about that? Isn’t it amazing?” Jiang Luoyue said proudly, placing one hand on her hip.
Yue Wenqiu and Jiang Luoxing both showed astonished expressions, which greatly satisfied Jiang Luoyue’s vanity.
“I’ve never heard of such a miraculous item. May we go inside and take a look?” Yue Wenqiu asked.
“Sure, I haven’t even seen it myself yet. Let’s go in and take a look together,” Jiang Luoyue said, handing each of them a communication jade slip and entering the Floating Abode.
Inside the Floating Abode was a vast, empty plain with a massive house standing alone in the center.
“Can a mortal without spiritual power enter?” Yue Wenqiu’s gaze fell on Jiang Luoxing, his eyes full of scrutiny and suspicion.
He reached out and grabbed Jiang Luoxing’s hand, but the latter quickly shook it off.
“Don’t touch me,” Jiang Luoxing snapped like a fierce little person showing its teeth.
He was actually very grateful for Yue Wenqiu’s care during this time. Sometimes, he even wished he really had such an older brother.
But… we’re rivals for Older Sister’s affection now, Jiang Luoxing only allowed Older Sister to touch him.
“You have spiritual roots?” Yue Wenqiu was astonished.
Medical cultivators had examined the siblings’ physical conditions, and Yue Wenqiu was certain Jiang Luoxing had no spiritual roots.
“Mhm,” Jiang Luoxing nodded, then looked at Jiang Luoyue. He didn’t quite understand and wanted to see how Jiang Luoyue would explain.
“We can talk about this later,” Jiang Luoyue quickly diverted the topic. “Let’s go into the house and check it out first.”
She linked an arm with each man and skipped towards the house.
Yue Wenqiu felt a bit annoyed that they were keeping secrets from him. However, he didn’t show it and decided to first take a good look at this place that held a world of its own.
Pushing the door open, Jiang Luoyue was a little dumbfounded.
“Why is there nothing inside?”
“Host, you’ll have to furnish the interior yourself,” the System explained. “Although the plain outside is vast, you can slowly decorate it.”
“How do I decorate it? Do I make the furniture myself?” Jiang Luoyue asked.
“Of course not! The System will provide rewards! Or the Host can move things in from the outside, or exchange them with other items,” the System said.
“The items for exchange can be anything—gold, silver, jewels, spirit stones, pills, or artifacts,” the System continued. “The System will exchange them for furniture based on the Host’s needs and the item’s value!”
