- The Honest Man Was Targeted by His Ex-Boyfriend's Alpha Brother
- Chapter 9 - Wild: The Plaything, He Always Craved
A deep, handsome Slavic face was mere inches away. Beneath grim, almost fierce brows, amber-gold eyes reflected Chen Wang’s panicked face.
“I,” Chen Wang began, but his breath hitched.
Even though he had seen him many times and did not particularly like Hua Yunlian, Chen Wang was still stunned by his beauty. His breath hitched slightly. “I do not.”
In the chaotic, steaming BBQ restaurant, the scent of Damascus roses began to spread. It was an oppressive pheromone. Chen Wang’s father and Shen An, both being Alphas, could not withstand it. They clutched their tight chests, their faces contorting in discomfort.
Seeing that it was beginning to affect other diners, a friend nearby lowered his voice to warn him, “Restrain yourself.”
Chen Wang’s father naturally noticed the subtle tension between Chen Wang and this young man. He had not expected his son, who seemed to do nothing but study like a fool, to have a few tricks up his sleeve. His eyes darted back and forth slyly.
While little Shen was warm and cheerful, he clearly lacked depth. This Director Hua not only looked extraordinary in stature but, more importantly, was far wealthier than Shen. Everything he wore or carried was clearly expensive.
“Xiao Wang, is this also a friend of yours?” Chen’s father teased. “Why don’t you introduce us?”
Several pairs of eyes, each with different motives, fixed on him. Chen Wang broke into a cold sweat. His hands, resting on his knees, clenched tighter and tighter. “Uh,” he stammered.
He had been upright to a fault his entire life; he was utterly terrible at lying. His biggest secret was that his family did not know he had once dated Hua Jingchen. Now, it felt as if the sky were falling. How was he supposed to explain his sordid relationship with Hua Yunlian in this public setting, in front of his friend and his relative?
The hot charcoal fire made Chen Wang feel dizzy. He instinctively looked at Hua Yunlian, hoping the man would provide a respectable explanation. Instead, Hua Yunlian crossed his arms, showing no intention of helping.
Having been neglected for several days, the Alpha felt a surge of resentment. A dark fire rose in his chest, turning his anger into a smirk. He spoke directly to Chen’s father. “He is actually my brother’s,” he began.
“Mmph!”
Halfway through the sentence, a large mouthful of food was crudely stuffed into his mouth. Chen Wang must have been insane to dare treat him like this!
Hua Yunlian’s eyes widened in shock, meeting Chen Wang’s smiling face. “Is it delicious?” Chen Wang asked.
He had seen Chen Wang give him the cold shoulder or avoid him many times, but it was rare to see him smile like this. For a kept man, he was far more arrogant than his patron.
Hua Yunlian looked displeased, chewing rhythmically. The lettuce wrapped BBQ was juicy and full, a massive bite of charcoal aroma mixed with spice and solid meat. He paused. It was not as bad as he had expected. However, he maintained his sulky expression. Fearing he might not be able to keep the man’s mouth shut, Chen Wang diligently continued to feed him. Hua Yunlian stared at him and continued to chew.
This reminded him of when he was a child and was kept in that slum zoo. Back then, little Chen Wang had fed him with just as much patience. At that thought, Hua Yunlian, who had intended to cause a scene, unexpectedly quieted down.
Seeing that the young master had suddenly become well-behaved, the young man traveling with them glanced at Chen Wang and introduced himself. “Hello, Dr. Chen. My name is Ji Yanxing. I am Director Hua’s best friend.”
Chen Wang remembered him from the party the other day. He was likely the son of some conglomerate as well. He had not expected that someone with Hua Yunlian’s arrogant and temperamental personality could actually have a best friend. His expression softened. There was an unintentional spark of mutual understanding between two people who both had to endure the same person.
Shen An watched as Chen Wang balanced social interactions while constantly tending to the young master who was dressed like a flamboyant peacock. He could not help but feel sour. That Alpha was so willful and attention seeking!
Shen An’s gaze fell on Chen Wang’s slender, pale fingers. His skin was like jade; those hands could deftly hold a scalpel or gently take care of someone with food. His face warmed slightly. Could a Beta really be this beautiful? His Adam’s apple bobbed.
“Senior, I also,” Shen An started.
Hua Yunlian did not move an inch. He simply opened his mouth and took the last piece of meat, his gaze indifferent. “You what?”
Whether intentional or not, his red tongue lightly brushed against Chen Wang’s fingertip. Chen Wang gave a small shiver and shot him a look of indignant shame, but he suppressed his anger and said nothing. Shen An took all of this in, nearly losing his breath from frustration.
The Dark Alley
When it came time to pay the bill, Chen’s father had, as expected, vanished without a trace. Chen Wang had no intention of chasing after his useless father to talk about family affection or reason. He had been a burden since birth; Chen Wang had grown used to being independent.
However, he did not understand why Shen An looked so dejected. He assumed Shen An was disappointed to find out that the admirable doctor was actually from a poor background and was someone whose life was being sold for a bride price.
Chen Wang walked alone down a small path, letting the cool breeze blow over him. As he reached a dimly lit stretch under a streetlamp, his body suddenly lurched. He was pulled into a narrow alley without warning. A solid kiss followed immediately, crashing onto his lips. It was hot and urgent, the person sticking to him like a burr.
The other person pursued him relentlessly, trying to deepen the kiss. Chen Wang used all his strength to push the man away, raising his hand to deliver a slap. In the faint light, Hua Yunlian’s eyes flickered with amusement. “Brother, turning your back on me already?”
Chen Wang recognized him and remained fuming. “I told you not to call me that!”
“Fine, I will not,” he agreed readily.
Suddenly, large hands flipped Chen Wang around, pinning his thin back against the wall. A knee was pressed between his legs, preventing him from struggling in any direction. Chen Wang’s face was pressed against the rough bricks, causing a bit of pain.
The crisp sound of a belt being unbuckled came from behind him. “Wild is fine too. It is quite thrilling.”
Hua Yunlian ignored the voices at the alley entrance not far away. He critiqued the situation. “The environment is a bit poor, but it has a certain charm.”
Chen Wang could see the shadows of people passing by the lighted area. His handsome face turned a deep shade of red. What was the difference between this and being stripped naked for a public parade? Next, Hua Yunlian’s cool hand hooked into his waistband, sliding it halfway down with lightning speed!
“Don’t, don’t do this!” Chen Wang reached back to stop him, trembling uncontrollably.
“Brother, I believe I gave you plenty of face today?”
Hua Yunlian’s scorching breath felt as if it would melt him. Chen Wang had no strength left except to try and keep himself from being completely exposed. His lips were bitten bloody from sheer tension. He said in a trembling voice, “I am not, not ready yet.”
He tried to be considerate. “I have worked all day and have not showered. I am not in a good state. If we rush this, your experience probably will not be good.”
“Oh?” Hua Yunlian turned him around, squinting as he pinched his cheeks. His fingers tightened, squeezing Chen Wang’s face until it was slightly deformed and painful. “This will not do, that will not do.”
“So it turns out I have not kept you, but you are kindly bestowing your presence upon me? How noble.”
For some reason, this man possessed incredible strength. Chen Wang felt as if his facial bones might be crushed. In agony, he broke free, leaving rough finger marks on his handsome face.
Just as Hua Yunlian’s face darkened, Chen Wang ignored everything and hooked his arms around the man’s neck to kiss him. However, the kisses landed on his face. He kissed him several times with frantic force, making loud, smacking sounds.
“I am, I am sorry, Director Hua.”
Hua Yunlian’s scent, temperature, touch, and even his gaze made Chen Wang tremble. It felt like an affair, like a crime. “I do not have much experience in this area. I do not want to rush. Can we do it once I am prepared?”
In the narrow, dark alley, their heavy, confused breathing intertwined. This was such a juvenile trick; he had not even kissed him properly. Hua Yunlian should have looked down on it. Instead, he suddenly said, “Heh, then your ex-boyfriend really was a piece of trash.”
Hua Yunlian received a call from a friend and actually let him go. He did not go to Chen Wang’s apartment that night. A thoroughly scrubbed Chen Wang let out a sigh of relief. Perhaps he had gone to some other lover. Fortunately.
The Accident
A loud crash sounded as the vehicle stalled. Chen Wang quickly got out of the car. At first glance, he saw the luxury car logo. Looking down, he saw the damaged bumper and chipped paint. A cold sweat immediately broke out. His old taxi was unscathed. Even if he was not entirely at fault, paying the insurance deductible would be a massive expense.
The owner of the other car waited for a moment before storming out and slamming the door. “Do you even know how to drive!”
Chen Wang, who had been seeing sick children all day, had a pounding headache. He pinched the bridge of his nose. “Yes, you are the one who knows how to drive.” He pulled out his phone. “I will call the traffic police and insurance to determine liability.”
The other man’s tirade stopped abruptly. He suddenly asked, “Are you Dr. Chen?”
Chen Wang’s heart nearly stopped. He had been recognized? Central City was huge; he specifically drove his taxi far from his workplace. Did someone actually know him here? He was not that famous.
Chen Wang looked at the man hesitantly. He drove a luxury car and wore a designer watch, dressed in a low-key but expensive suit. He had the look of a legal elite. Chen Wang had no memory of him. “And you are?”
Before the man could answer, the traffic police noticed the accident and walked over. Surprisingly, after the processing was finished, the man did not demand compensation. He was incredibly lenient. Chen Wang did not want to cause trouble, but he also did not want to owe favors.
“Dr. Chen, would you join me for a cup of coffee?” the man suggested with a smile.
Chen Wang had questions of his own, so he agreed to treat him. However, once they reached the cafe, the man paid first. This unearned kindness made Chen Wang even more confused, fearing someone was trying to set him up.
“You are busy with work; perhaps you do not remember me?” the man introduced himself. “My name is Li Yingzhuo. I went to the Bo’ai Children’s Hospital for some work handovers and saw your photo on the duty roster.”
“I thought that doctor was very special at the time: a young, capable Beta with strong professional skills.”
Chen Wang let out an embarrassed sigh of relief. So he had only seen a photo. That was not a threat.
Li Yingzhuo was an ink-scented Alpha. He was polite but possessed the assertiveness of an elite. As if reading Chen Wang’s mind, he sipped his espresso and said meaningfully, “I did not expect Dr. Chen to be so hardworking. Busy during the day and a part-time driver at night?”
“If anyone asked me to recommend a pediatrician, I would certainly recommend the professional and hardworking Dr. Chen first.”
Chen Wang almost choked, his face turning red with embarrassment. “That will not be necessary!” His fingers tapped the coffee cup anxiously. He paused for a moment. “Mr. Li, the part-time job is just a personal hobby. Since it involves some interpersonal relationships, could you keep this a secret for me?”
A glint flashed behind Li Yingzhuo’s glasses. “Oh? I did not expect Dr. Chen and I to share a secret so soon. What a coincidence.”
Chen Wang’s pride was stung. Just as he was about to speak, the man offered a QR code. “Let’s not let a misunderstanding keep us apart. Why don’t we add each other? I happen to be a lawyer. If you ever have legal questions, you can consult me at any time.”
Chen Wang hesitated. He recalled the contract signing; Hua Yunlian’s lawyer had been so imposing while he had been all alone. “Alright.”
The brief conversation ended smoothly. Chen Wang walked toward his taxi with a light step, relieved he did not have to pay and that his debt pressure would not increase.
Li Yingzhuo sat in his luxury car, staring at the departing figure with a greedy, obsessed look. An alluring Omega, completely naked and bound in red ropes, crawled over from the passenger seat. There was a dog collar with a chain around her neck.
“Master,” she whispered.
He had been distracted by playing with her, which caused the accident. It was not a big deal, but Li Yingzhuo had found something much more interesting. He coldly pushed away the Omega who was licking him. “Get out. Scram.”
The Omega froze. The adoration in her eyes did not vanish; instead, she obeyed and crawled out of the car naked. Passersby screamed and ran away!
Li Yingzhuo accepted Chen Wang’s friend request and added a note. Then, he opened a chat labeled Chen Youwei, which belonged to Chen Wang’s father. In the short chat history was a photo sent by the father.
The Beta he was supposed to be sold to was even more beautiful in person. Every subtle expression was so stubborn and vivid. The occasional glimpses of gratitude and panic made Li Yingzhuo’s blood boil!
He had found it! He had found the plaything he had always craved. Li Yingzhuo held up his phone, comparing the photo to the departing figure. He became more and more excited, nearly crushing the steering wheel. A horrific grin slowly spread across his face.
“My Fiancee.”
