- The Honest Man Was Targeted by His Ex-Boyfriend's Alpha Brother
- Chapter 30 - Brother, Let Me Taste You, and I Will Let You Touch My Tail.
Early the next morning, when Hua Yunlian rubbed his eyes and walked out of the bedroom, Chen Wang was standing at the kitchen island with his back turned, focused intently on something.
A pot of sobering soup was simmering on the stove, bubbling away and releasing an inviting, savory aroma. The gentle Beta had his sleeves rolled halfway up, revealing a pair of well-proportioned, clean forearms. Over his shirt and trousers, he wore a light blue lace-trimmed apron he had bought on discount. Its thin ties cinched his waist, which swayed slightly with his movements.
Seeing such a pleasing sight first thing in the morning put the second young master in an excellent mood. He leaned against the wall, arms crossed, squinting as he admired the view for a moment.
The juicer in Chen Wang’s hands occupied his entire attention; he showed no signs of a hangover whatsoever. He was staring intently at the instruction manual, with fresh-cut fruit laid out beside him. Hua Yunlian did not disturb him, turning instead to wash up and get ready. He had not expected such a small gadget to make Chen Wang this happy. He thought the man was very easy to please.
By the time the young master returned, looking every bit the refined aristocrat, breakfast was already on the table. Even the chopsticks and spoons were meticulously arranged. Seeing him, Chen Wang suddenly looked a bit flustered.
“Oh, you are awake. Come and eat,” Chen Wang said.
It had to be said that his cooking skills were far superior to Hua Yunlian’s. Outside, Hua Yunlian was picky to a fault, but his own cooking style was incredibly reckless. He would throw whatever ingredients into a pot and boil them until they were either cooked or close enough. Chen Wang’s cooking, however, mirrored his personality: careful, comforting, and designed to take care of every detail.
Hua Yunlian took a sip of the soup. The beef was perfectly tender, and the broth had the mellow fragrance of boiled tofu. He asked casually, “Making such a feast so early in the morning, is it not exhausting?”
Chen Wang replied, “Your kitchenware is very complete; it was no trouble at all. The juicer is very easy to use.” He lowered his gaze slightly, as if he had not expected Hua Yunlian to take his words to heart.
The chilled mango-orange juice was refreshing and tangy. After a sip, the young master finally felt fully awake.
“Yes, I keep my word,” Hua Yunlian said.
Hua Yunlian stared at the Beta’s slightly shy, handsome face. The corners of his mouth quirked up, and he could not help but bite down on the straw with his sharp teeth, as if he were playfully grinding against Chen Wang himself. He thought this brother was quite foolish. He did not ask for money, watches, or houses, but only a small juicer. And then he turned around and used it to serve him. He wondered if there was really someone this pure-hearted in the world.
For a while, the only sound in the dining room was the light clinking of bowls and spoons. Chen Wang rubbed his temples, feeling that he had been far too undignified yesterday, yet he could not remember a thing. His body felt heavy with post-hangover fatigue.
“Did I say anything nonsensical last night? I hope I did not do anything inappropriate,” he said with hesitation.
Hua Yunlian shook his head and said, “No. You just held my hand and would not let me leave. You kept saying how amazing you are, that you could give birth to several little Alphas for me, and told me to look at you more.”
Chen Wang’s expression shattered in shock. He sucked in a sharp breath and said, “You are lying.”
Hua Yunlian’s expression was dead serious. He raised an eyebrow, implying that Chen Wang was a terrible drunk. “Why would I lie to you? Is wanting to have my children not a natural human instinct?”
Chen Wang’s brows knit into a tight knot; he truly could not recall anything. He did long for a family, but he had never longed to give birth himself. “That is impossible. The conception probability for a male Beta is one in ten thousand. Besides, how could I possibly want to give you any children?”
Hua Yunlian’s face darkened as he began to make a scene. “Tsk, you are truly heartless for turning your back on me so quickly. I have not even agreed to let you have them yet. Could you even manage it without me? I wear protection almost every time anyway.”
Chen Wang’s face turned bright red as he endured the teasing, and he quickly shut down the topic. But something intimate had indeed happened last night. After the drunken Chen Wang had hooked his arms around Hua Yunlian’s neck to pour out his heart, the Alpha had lost his restraint. He had pinned him to the bed for a deep, lingering kiss, and in the heat of the moment, he had not cared about protection. He took him several times.
“Brother,” he had whispered. “I will watch over you forever.”
Chen Wang soon began his job at the Glandular Biology Research Institute. Due to Hua Yunlian’s backing and the recommendation letters written by several professors from the Federal Medical University who valued his talent, he skipped the probation period and became a formal gene researcher. Finally, his life was back on track.
At first, some colleagues were dissatisfied with Chen Wang’s lack of seniority, but as they worked together, the murmurs died down. Those who had come to find fault eventually stayed to exchange professional insights. Then, during a small conference, Chen Wang ran into Shen An, who was there assisting a professor.
During the break, Shen An greeted him with a look of trepidation, glancing around as if fearing some menacing figure was watching them. Last time, Shen An had planned to confess to Chen Wang with a reserved restaurant and flowers, only to walk in on a scandalous scene. Whenever he remembered it, his blood boiled, and he wished he could tear Hua Yunlian apart. But he knew he could not win that fight.
Facing Chen Wang now, his eyes darted away, and his face slowly flushed red even without direct eye contact.
Chen Wang began, “About what happened last time.”
Before he could finish, Shen An interrupted, eager to protect Chen Wang’s dignity. “Oh, it is fine! What happened last time does not matter. We are all adults; it is only natural. I will find another chance to treat you to dinner alone, Senior!”
He smiled sheepishly, appearing truly unbothered, which helped Chen Wang’s embarrassment fade. Chen Wang suddenly noticed two bruises on Shen An’s face and the corner of his mouth.
“Did you fall?” he asked.
Shen An instinctively touched his face. It had taken a while for the injuries to heal to this point, and he had not expected Chen Wang to notice. He paused, then looked into the other man’s eyes with a serious expression.
“Senior, I did not want to tell you. After all, I am an Alpha, and it is embarrassing to lose a fight. But Hua Yunlian is not someone you should trust. He is volatile; no one can predict what he will do next, or whether he is truly good for you. Even if you chose him over me, please do not let your guard down around him, okay?”
That evening, when Hua Yunlian returned home, he felt a strange atmosphere. Usually, Chen Wang was either buried in the study writing reports or in the living room watching lectures on the television. Today, the house was silent. The Beta turned to look at him, his expression grim.
“You are back?” Chen Wang asked.
Hua Yunlian tugged off his tie, tossed it onto the sofa, and collapsed into the cushions. He reached out a long arm to pull Chen Wang into his embrace, but Chen Wang dodged him. Hua Yunlian’s mood soured instantly.
“What is it?” he asked.
Lately, they had been getting along famously, with a level of emotional stability he had never expected. He had even stopped returning to his cold villa, choosing instead to stay in this apartment whenever he was free. He could not stand Chen Wang giving him the cold shoulder.
Chen Wang took off his glasses, his gentle, scholarly eyes now sharp with accusation. Looking at him like this, it felt as if they had reverted to their old, hostile days. Hua Yunlian thought the man needed a lesson. His body stirred as he leaned in for a kiss. Chen Wang turned his head to refuse him, but Hua Yunlian was relentless, peppering his cheek with soft, lingering kisses.
“Brother, how have I upset you?” he asked.
Chen Wang pushed him away slightly. This man was always using his hands and mouth, making his heart race and making it impossible to talk. “After we left the bar that day, did you have someone beat up Shen An?”
Hua Yunlian thought for a moment, then nonchalantly arched an eyebrow, losing interest as he leaned back. “You are taking the side of another man?”
Chen Wang, who had always been law-abiding, could not stand his reckless attitude. His expression cooled significantly. “Shen An did nothing wrong. You cannot just lay hands on people. It has been over two weeks, and the bruises on his face are still there. How hard did you hit him?”
Chen Wang found this side of him terrifying. “Why would you even do that?”
The young master draped his arms across the back of the sofa, his broad shoulders relaxed. He crossed his long legs on the coffee table and rolled his neck. Instead of feeling guilty, a hint of ruthlessness flashed in his eyes.
“That brat dared to complain to you?” Hua Yunlian’s voice was airy. “If I had known, I should have just killed him.”
The look on his face was not an act. He was not threatening or posturing; he genuinely wanted to eliminate Shen An as a permanent solution. Chen Wang was utterly stunned. A cold chill crawled up his spine, leaving him with goosebumps. Noticing the Beta’s pale face, a dark smile touched Hua Yunlian’s eyes.
“You are protecting him that much?” he asked.
“I am not,” Chen Wang stammered.
He knew Hua Yunlian was likely jealous, but this jealousy felt wrong. It felt as if something was spiraling out of his control. It was like a giant, aggressive dog being handed to someone with empty hands. Even if you wanted to pull the chain, you were powerless to stop it from causing harm.
Chen Wang tried to correct him. “He is just a friend. You cannot be violent toward the people around me, do you understand?”
Hua Yunlian interrupted him directly. “I only know he is an Alpha who desires you. You are not allowed to speak to him. In fact, you are not allowed to pay attention to any other Alphas. You should only have eyes for me.”
Chen Wang was speechless at his childish demands. “How old are you?”
A wave of overwhelming, powerful pheromones filled the room. Even if a Beta could not be driven into heat, the sheer pressure was physical. Hua Yunlian pinned him into the sofa, his tall, heavy frame pressing down until Chen Wang let out a muffled groan, struggling to breathe.
Hua Yunlian rested his head on Chen Wang’s chest, then looked up, his fingers slowly undoing the buttons of his shirt as he began to lick his skin. Chen Wang’s pupils contracted, and his face flushed a deep red.
“What are you doing? Do not start this!” Chen Wang cried out.
He thought the man would not listen to a word he said, and now he was doing this. Strands of beautiful, light chestnut hair swayed before his eyes. Chen Wang’s breathing grew ragged. As he realized the man was unfastening his trousers and moving lower, he panicked.
“I have never had someone do this! I cannot accept this! Stop it right now!”
In his flustered state, he grabbed the man’s hair, only to feel a pair of soft, furry leopard ears. The startling yet adorable sensation made Chen Wang choke on his words. At the same time, a thick, furry leopard tail wrapped around Chen Wang’s leg, the tip tapping playfully against his thigh like a spoiled pet. The vivid, exotic spots were strikingly bright.
Hua Yunlian looked up, his amber eyes shimmering like glass, just like a feline. He gazed at him intently for a moment, then blinked slowly.
“Brother, let me taste you, and I will let you touch my tail.”
