- The Honest Man Was Targeted by His Ex-Boyfriend's Alpha Brother
- Chapter 17 - Brothers
“I am playing with my former sister-in-law. What does that have to do with you?”
Chen Wang’s tears were completely uncontrollable. They fell like pearls from a broken string. Hua Yunlian simply stopped wiping them away, lowering his gaze to admire the sight with a smile.
No matter how stiff Chen Wang’s spine usually was, he was forced to kneel beneath him now. This scene put the unruly young master in an excellent mood, and the gloom from earlier vanished instantly. The Beta’s handsome, pale face was flushed bright red, as if he were drunk, due to the continuous collapse of his psychological defenses.
“Mm, ugh!”
Chen Wang did not know that Hua Yunlian was truly an anomaly. He inwardly cursed the man as a monster. His mouth felt as if it would tear at the corners, and saliva trickled down his thin chin.
“Dr. Chen? You have not fainted, have you? I am coming to find you!”
The sound of Hao Pingfan wading through the water grew closer, sounding as if he would turn the corner at any moment. Chen Wang let out muffled cries, pleading for mercy. However, the madman had no intention of stopping. He patted Chen Wang’s face with the back of his hand, signaling him to continue. Chen Wang’s heart beat faster and faster, nearly ready to explode.
When Chen Wang struggled and refused to move, Hua Yunlian moved his hips instead. Chen Wang fell into total despair, closing his eyes tightly as the tears flowed. The artificial landscape hid Hua Yunlian’s back, which was defined by tight, beautiful muscle lines.
As the bamboo shadows swayed, Hao Pingfan stopped his pace. Recognizing the light chestnut hair of the primary investor, he did not dare walk over carelessly. He stayed where he was and called out honestly, “Oh, hello, President Hua!”
“Is something the matter?”
Hua Yunlian’s voice was deep, hoarse, and possessed a lazy, granular texture. It made Hao Pingfan’s heart skip a beat. He privately thought this voice was better suited for a singer than Mantogua’s voice was.
Hao Pingfan stammered, “No, nothing is wrong. I just wanted to ask if you have seen Dr. Chen?”
Hua Yunlian paused for a moment, his gaze shifting downward. “Dr. Chen?”
The doctor was currently crouched obediently in front of him, his entire body submerged in the water. Only a pair of wet, tearful black eyes looked up at him, filled with pitiful pleading and dependence. Under the tension, Chen Wang’s mouth instinctively tightened its suction.
Hua Yunlian let out a muffled groan. The sexy blue veins on the back of his hand bulged. The man narrowed his eyes, feeling so much pleasure that he nearly lost control and let his leopard ears pop out. He stroked Chen Wang’s soft hair as a reward.
“He said he went back already,” Hua Yunlian replied. His voice was even lower and more magnetic than it had been before.
Chen Wang felt a sense of despair. He wondered how the man could not even bother to make up a decent excuse. He was terrified that others would see they were engaged in something illicit.
Hao Pingfan let out a few sounds of understanding. “Then I will head back quickly to find him. We are missing one person for mahjong!” He waded away, the water splashing as he disappeared into the distance.
Chen Wang was shaken to the core. He tried to get up and flee in a fit of rage, but Hua Yunlian pressed down on the back of his head. His throat felt uncomfortable, and he instinctively wanted to gag. The other man was relentless and continued his movements.
Behind the bamboo shadows, the sound of water became erratic. In Chen Wang’s definition, intimacy was as conventional as it could be, with no more than three standard positions. Even so, he had never experienced it, and even thinking about it made him feel ashamed. Hua Yunlian’s actions tonight were enough to make his brain stall for a long time.
Chen Wang tried to pull back, his mouth filled with the rich, suggestive scent of Damascus roses. His eyes widened in panic, and he reached out awkwardly, wanting to spit. The man wickedly tilted Chen Wang’s chin up and pressed him against the cool, jagged rocks.
“Do not spit it out. Swallow it,” he commanded.
Chen Wang’s brow furrowed as his entire body trembled weakly. Under Hua Yunlian’s rakish, playful gaze, he closed his eyes and swallowed. Tears fell once more.
Hua Yunlian’s beast-like possessiveness and aggression were slightly appeased. He stroked that beautiful, fragile neck, watching Chen Wang’s thin skin turn so red it looked as if it might bleed. It was as if any further action would cause the man to evaporate from shame.
Cold, abstinent, thin-skinned, vain, socialized, and completely ignorant of physical desire; how could these contradictory elements exist in one person? The expression on Chen Wang’s flushed, dazed face made him chuckle. Hua Yunlian praised him softly, “That is a good boy.”
The young master had finally had a taste of something decadent.
Chen Wang assumed the man would not let him off easily. However, from that night until the return trip the next day, and even for the following several days, Hua Yunlian did not show his face again. It was as if he suddenly became aloof for a reason that could not be mentioned.
To Chen Wang, this was a good thing. He had no desire to have anything more to do with his ex-boyfriend’s younger brother. This matter, which felt like a moral violation to him, was something he wanted to delay for as long as possible.
Soon, the Federal Bio-Research Center collaborated with various medical associations to host an academic symposium. Those who could attend were essentially capital giants and top academic elites.
Chen Wang heard from his department director that the Hospital Director had family matters to attend to. He originally did not intend to go, but after receiving an invitation card, he felt he had to attend. He did not want to miss such a rare opportunity.
For nearly a week afterward, he was exceptionally diligent. He even received an honorary banner from a patient. The patient’s family was quite persistent, carrying the banner from floor to floor asking for Dr. Chen. They eventually reached the Director’s office.
The Director already felt that Chen Wang was overqualified for such a small hospital. When Chen Wang brought up the symposium, the Director took the opportunity to give him the attendance pass. “In that case, Xiao Chen, you shall go on my behalf.”
Chen Wang did not go for nothing. He was fully prepared to take photos for his social media, gather the latest industry information, and absorb every bit of academic knowledge. He was a master of time management. He had always been clever about self-packaging; his level of socialization far exceeded most people. If it were not for the crushing debt of his family, why would he need to plot so hard for an attendance pass?
During the tea break, Chen Wang took a few small cakes. As he ate, he immersed himself in the speeches the giants had just delivered. His black eyes sparkled with a hunger for research results.
“Xiao Wang?”
A familiar, gentle voice sounded. Chen Wang froze instantly. He would not forget that voice even if he died.
“It has been a long time. I did not expect to run into you here. You are still as passionate as ever about the things you love.”
Chen Wang raised his face woodenly and met the calm gaze of Hua Jingchen. The eldest son of the Hua family was a refined, jade-like gentleman. A jewelry-clad Omega was clinging to his arm. One could tell at a glance that she was his fiancée. The sparkling emerald set on the Omega’s body felt like a sharp blade before Chen Wang’s eyes, reminding him of what it meant to be a social match.
Chen Wang could not control his expression. He turned coldly to leave.
“Dr. Chen, do not be shy,” the Omega called out. Her voice was dainty, perhaps intentionally so. “I know you are my Jingchen’s ex. We have not even said anything yet, have we? After all, those were things from school days. What did anyone know about love back then?”
The milk-candy-scented Omega smiled beautifully, though her words were needles hidden in silk. “Even if the deal fell through, the kindness remains. I do not mind if you two are friends.”
Chen Wang, his face like ice, turned back and glared at her. “You are the one who is a deal. Were you sold to Hua Jingchen by your family?”
Ye Chenruo choked on her words, her expression souring. Hua Jingchen’s attitude remained indifferent. His aura was calm and gentle as he adjusted his glasses, as if it were perfectly normal for people to be jealous over him.
“Xiao Wang, do not be angry.”
“Do not call me that. We have nothing to do with each other anymore,” Chen Wang interrupted indifferently.
Back then, the man always called him that: Xiao Wang. Little Dog. He had said it was like calling a puppy. Every time he saw Chen Wang’s dark eyes, he said the resemblance grew.
Now, Chen Wang possessed a weariness and hardness brought about by the world’s struggles. This feeling was even more charming than it had been before. Hua Jingchen’s gaze remained on him from start to finish, secretly observing him. He was completely unbothered by the other’s coldness.
“I heard you have been with my younger brother lately?” he asked.
The elegant man paused slightly and did not immediately deny it. Given his straightforward personality, even a hesitation of 0.01 seconds represented an admission. For a brief moment, the refined expression on Hua Jingchen’s face twisted.
“I told you long ago that Hua Yunlian is not a normal person. You cannot stand his temper. His background, everything about him, is unworthy of you.”
Recalling his unpleasant experiences, a fire ignited in Chen Wang’s heart. He sneered, “Yes, someone like me from the slums naturally cannot meet the standards of the eldest young master. Who I am with is none of your concern. Mind your own business!”
“Are you truly together?” Hua Jingchen frowned in surprise, then softened his voice. “Xiao Wang, I know what kind of person you are. You must have a reason for this, right?”
Upon hearing this, Chen Wang and Ye Chenruo had different reactions. Ye Chenruo pulled at him jealously. “Husband,” she whined.
Hua Jingchen did not even look at his fiancée, treating her as if she were a mere ornament or a car key. “I know you too well. You are smart, stubborn, and have a strong sense of morality. You refused to let me help you back then no matter what, so how could you be with your ex’s biological brother? Every minute and every second you spend with my brother, there must be countless moments where you think of me, right?”
Since he had hit the mark, Chen Wang froze in place with a complex expression. Hua Jingchen was, after all, his first love. Every time Hua Yunlian appeared by his side, it served as a reminder that they were biological brothers, and that he was involved in an unclear relationship with his ex’s brother.
The man’s tone was peaceful. He seemed like an ocean that could tolerate all things, possessing a mature aura. He did not blame Chen Wang for such behavior, nor did he suggest it was a deliberate act of revenge. His eyes were full of the suffering of one who was forced into a corner. “Xiao Wang, it is I who have made you suffer.”
Chen Wang could not handle such words. At this moment, he appeared exceptionally clumsy. “You,” he started.
According to the typical script, he should have boasted about how well Hua Yunlian treated him to slap the faces of his ex and the fiancée. However, his gaze shifted and landed right on the bar not far away. Several Omegas were surrounding Hua Yunlian in the center, serving him drinks as if they did not know how else to flatter him.
Hua Yunlian, whom he had not seen in days, chose this exact moment to appear at the banquet. The man also spotted him from a distance. A cold look and a look of surprise briefly locked.
Chen Wang realized he must have been driven mad to even think of playing a scene to spite his ex. He and Hua Yunlian had absolutely no relationship that could be brought out into the open. Chen Wang turned his head in embarrassment, not intending to stay any longer.
Hua Jingchen frowned slightly and said with heartache, “You are not living well. Is this the result of your insistence on leaving me?”
Ye Chenruo’s face turned pale and then green. She had been pretending to be generous earlier, but now that she saw her fiancé’s clear interest, she did not dare vent her anger directly at Hua Jingchen. She could only cling to him and call him husband over and over again.
Hua Jingchen ignored her, asking persistently, “Do you not regret it?”
Just a second before he could grab Chen Wang’s wrist, a tall, reckless figure sauntered over. “Oh, my former sister-in-law.”
“The current sister-in-law is here too, I see.”
Hua Yunlian held a cocktail with a casual attitude. His eyes were slightly raised, and he was completely unbothered by the fact that everyone’s faces had changed. His hand, which had been in his pocket, forcefully wrapped around Chen Wang’s waist. With a slight tug, the supple Beta was pulled into his embrace. He held him down with a dominant grip, refusing to let him struggle.
Hua Yunlian laughed into his ear. His suggestive breath instantly made Chen Wang’s ears turn red, provoking everyone present equally. “Sister-in-law, why did you not greet me when you saw me?”
Chen Wang could not handle even one man with whom he had an ambiguous relationship. How was he supposed to deal with both brothers at his side?
Hua Jingchen’s face darkened as he put on his authority as the eldest brother. “Yunlian, do not call him that.”
“Who do you think you are?” Hua Yunlian retorted immediately. He kept one arm around Chen Wang while his lazy gaze swept over the Omega beside his brother. “I am playing with my former sister-in-law. What does that have to do with you?”
Ye Chenruo’s face turned red, and she hid behind Hua Jingchen. This attitude suggested that regardless of whether someone was an ex or a current partner, he was bold enough to toy with anyone. He was a master at making everyone uncomfortable with just a few words.
Furthermore, once Hua Yunlian arrived, the group of Omegas who had been following him followed along, surrounding them like butterflies. Anyone who did not know better would think they were discussing a major academic matter here. The Omegas called out “President Hua” and “President Hua is so amazing” in dainty voices that made Chen Wang’s ears feel weak.
“You, let go first,” Chen Wang said.
Hua Yunlian refused to let go. His long fingers suggestively brushed through Chen Wang’s hair, and he pulled him into a close embrace, pinching his cheek. He stared directly at the suppressed rage in Hua Jingchen’s eyes.
He teased, “No wonder you loved my former sister-in-law so much. I tried him out in the hot spring the other day. It was indeed quite pleasurable.”
