- Chapter 35 - Magnificent and Beautiful Insect Patterns
Asher’s spiritual sea was like a vast ocean with no end in sight. Within that mental domain, Cen Li successfully located the curled-up spiritual tentacles. Sensing Cen Li’s arrival, the two tentacles curled even tighter.
Recalling the data provided by the system, Cen Li controlled his powerful spiritual power and stroked the spiritual tentacles from top to bottom.
“Ugh.” “Master, what are you doing?!”
Asher reacted as if he had received a massive shock. His pupils constricted into vertical slits like needlepoints, and his body went limp. He had to grab the clothes on Cen Li’s chest tightly to avoid the embarrassment of falling directly onto the floor.
Looking at Asher’s state, Cen Li’s expression became subtle. “The books call it spiritual tentacle therapy.”
Was Master going to continue helping him? Why would he choose this method?
Asher could feel Cen Li’s gaze lingering on him, and he felt his face burning with heat. The presence of his Master’s spiritual power was powerful and impossible to ignore. He forced back his inner bashfulness and whispered, “Thank you. Please, continue.”
Cen Li glanced at him twice, doubting whether the other could actually endure it. He nodded and said, “Alright, I will continue then.”
In relationships between males and females, spiritual tentacle therapy was rarely chosen by males. The spiritual defenses of females were generally very high, making it difficult for them to relax around a male who might usually mistreat them. During the treatment process, a female could easily injure a delicate male or provoke his anger, which was simply not worth the risk.
Cen Li controlled his spiritual power, executing the standard method at a steady pace while keeping a close eye on Asher’s reactions.
[Humiliation Value +99] [Humiliation Value +99]
By the end of one session, Asher was drenched in sweat. He leaned half-submerged in Cen Li’s embrace, his hands still clutching Cen Li’s clothes, exposing the soft back of his neck to the male. Cen Li could even see the insect patterns hidden beneath the collar; they were as intricate as rose patterns, magnificent and beautiful in color.
However, something else commanded his attention now.
With a puzzled expression, Cen Li asked the system, “Is there a bug in your system? Why did the Humiliation Value suddenly rise so quickly this time?”
He had not done anything unusual except treat Asher, even though the female had acted strangely during the process. Furthermore, Cen Li had not even followed the tasks assigned by the system! How exactly had he humiliated Asher? It was completely nonsensical.
The system did not know the reason either and told Cen Li it needed to report the situation to check the specifics. A minute later, the system replied hesitantly.
“Host, the main core has not malfunctioned. The detected increase is normal. The reason is that the target’s emotions fluctuated significantly and met the conditions for an increase in Humiliation Value.”
Upon hearing this, Cen Li’s gaze toward Asher changed. He had not expected Asher to hate him this much; despite his words of gratitude, his heart was clearly filled with loathing for Cen Li’s actions. The sudden spike in Humiliation Value was the best proof. Cen Li looked at Asher gloomily, unsure whether he should be happy or not.
The treatment had taken quite a while, and it was now afternoon. Asher looked visibly exhausted and had fallen into a deep sleep with his head resting on Cen Li’s shoulder. Since it was impossible to wake him now, Cen Li eventually carried him to the bed.
Cen Li thought that if Asher were still awake, the Humiliation Value would likely rise even higher. Asher did not wake up until evening. The system explained that this was normal; when a female feels extremely comfortable during their heat, they become drowsy and lethargic. Consequently, Cen Li looked at the female on the bed, hesitated for a moment, and took a quilt to sleep in the guest room for the night.
The next day, Cen Li yawned as he walked downstairs, his face showing faint dark circles under his eyes. Admiral Derek was pleased that Cen Li had stayed the night at the Duke’s mansion, but seeing his exhausted appearance, he asked with concern, “Did you not sleep well last night?”
Cen Li was used to sleeping in a soft, large bed, and he was not accustomed to the guest room the butler had hurriedly prepared. He nodded in response.
Admiral Derek glanced meaningfully behind Cen Li and spoke with a heavy, earnest tone, “Asher is far too inconsiderate. How could he trouble you so late into the night?”
“Ahem!”
Cen Li understood the implication immediately. He choked on a mouthful of water, coughing until he was out of breath. Derek took the cup from Cen Li’s hand and patted his back, his tone slightly scolding. “You are still like a cub, choking just from drinking water.”
After a while, Cen Li regained his composure and quickly explained to Admiral Derek, “That is not what happened. It has nothing to do with Asher.”
Admiral Derek smiled, assuming Cen Li was intentionally covering for him. “So, you are shy.”
“I am really not.”
Cen Li emphasized his words, trying to look more credible, but the smile on Admiral Derek’s face did not fade. In fact, it seemed to widen. Cen Li gave up the struggle.
Mikhail appeared out of nowhere and abruptly blurted out the truth to Admiral Derek.
“Brother did not even sleep with Asher last night. I do not know if he was kicked out by Asher, but his expression was very bad at the time, and he went to sleep in the guest room alone.”
Mikhail had personally seen Cen Li leave the room last night and enter another one, where he stayed until morning. Upon hearing this, Admiral Derek’s brow furrowed. “What? Xiao Li, you were kicked out?! Asher is truly out of line! And he actually woke up later than you, his Master? No female attendant acts like this!”
Images of Cen Li being oppressed by his female attendant flooded Admiral Derek’s mind, and his anger soared. Hearing the facts being twisted into a smear campaign, Cen Li grew increasingly repulsed by Mikhail’s attempt to reverse black and white. He had not even settled the score for last night yet.
“That is really not the case, Father. Asher does not have the courage for that. I wanted to sleep in the guest room myself last night,” Cen Li interrupted.
After calming down, Derek felt a hint of doubt that Asher would openly drive his Master away, but he looked at Cen Li and said, “Do not lie to me. You have been picky since you were a child. Why would you give up a perfectly good bed in your own room to sleep in the guest room?”
The original owner of the body would indeed never have done such a thing, let alone give his room to Asher.
Cen Li replied, “Yesterday was a special case. Regardless, please do not overthink it.”
Cen Li was clearly hiding something. Seeing that Cen Li did not want to say more, Admiral Derek said, “If Asher has any bad intentions or tries to defy you, you must tell me immediately. He is, after all, an S-class military female. If a spiritual riot occurs, he could seriously hurt you.”
“Do not worry, Father.”
Cen Li managed to convince Admiral Derek to drop the matter with a few words. Seeing this, Mikhail suppressed the dark light in his eyes and forced a sudden smile.
“It seems I misunderstood. I am glad Brother is alright.”
Mikhail put on a show of caring for Cen Li, lightly distancing himself from the error. To an outsider, it looked like a scene of brotherly affection. Cen Li swept a cold glance over him, intending to settle the account for yesterday, but Mikhail spoke first as if anticipating it.
“Have the distinguished guests not arrived today? It would be bad to keep the members of the Worth family waiting for too long.”
