The Gloomy Overseas Student Rewards His Hubby With Some Thirst Traps - Chapter 40
Chapter 40
When Yu Yanshuang woke up the next day, his head felt heavy and groggy.
His alcohol tolerance was usually excellent; “post-drinking amnesia” was not something that happened to him. Yesterday, despite drinking much more than Garcia, he had fortunately managed to avoid doing anything embarrassing, other than letting his emotions get the better of him.
However, he had actually cried like that in front of Sein and even said things he had never wanted to mention before.
Fortunately, I didn’t say too much, Yu Yanshuang couldn’t help but think. He decided he needed to drink more often to build up his tolerance—how could a dozen beers and a third of a bottle of whiskey get him this drunk?
The space beside him was empty; Sein was no longer there.
Last night, he had eaten too much and ended up vomiting. In his miserable state, Sein had held him to wash his mouth and even gave him a bath… He had sat on the bed watching as Sein cleaned up the mess on the floor.
Sein had wanted to call housekeeping, but Yu Yanshuang refused. After a brief argument, Sein ended up doing it himself.
He rubbed his nose. Perhaps it was because Sein usually looked so aloof and detached from worldly affairs, but seeing him do such menial cleaning work was… rather seductive.
With his broad shoulders and narrow waist, Sein’s physique was even more striking from behind. As he moved, every muscle shifted. Yu Yanshuang had seen the “nude version” of Sein last time; this time, he saw the “clothed version” in Sein’s apartment.
Yu Yanshuang sat on the bed spacing out for a while, realizing that even without “doing it,” he was still thinking about Sein’s body. He was becoming more and more gay.
With his hair in a mess—Sein clearly hadn’t dried it properly after bathing him last night—he now looked like he had a bird’s nest on his head.
Just as he was about to enter the bathroom, Sein suddenly emerged from the shadows of the dark hallway: “You can’t shower yet. You’ve applied medicine.”
Yu Yanshuang jumped in fright. Looking at Sein, he noticed bloodshot eyes, though Sein’s expression showed no signs of fatigue.
He shifted his gaze unnaturally and said nonchalantly, “What did I do last night? I seem to have lost my memory.”
Sein had originally intended to discuss the matter of letting Yu Yanshuang go for a month. Since he claimed to have forgotten, fine—he’d act as if he never agreed to it.
As Yu Yanshuang picked up his toothbrush and squeezed out toothpaste, he added with extreme “casualness,” “I seem to recall you promising me you wouldn’t look for me for a month.”
Sein: “……”
He remembered the crucial part quite clearly. Sein raised an eyebrow. “Faking amnesia?”
“Of course not,” Yu Yanshuang said with a straight, serious face, trying to bluff his way past Sein.
Sein’s expression tightened. He stared at Yu Yanshuang and said in Mandarin, “You remembered wrong. I said I wouldn’t fuck (cǎo) you for a month.”
Yu Yanshuang: “……”
He subconsciously retorted in Mandarin, “You clearly said you wouldn’t bother (chǎo) me… Your pronunciation is bad, you didn’t use the retroflex ‘ch’.”
“So you were faking it. If you keep talking, the deal is off.” Sein approached from behind, bracing his hands on both sides of the sink, trapping Yu Yanshuang in his arms. He stared at Yu Yanshuang in the mirror, noticing the faint indentation on his cheek from the pillow.
Sein gave a light laugh and stroked it with his index finger.
So he actually wants to date me?
Sein was surrounded by idiots, and while he didn’t know how to “date” either, he had no intention of asking any of those fools for advice. He had his own methods.
Yu Yanshuang tensed up instantly. Being watched by those gray eyes—Sein’s presence was overwhelming when he wasn’t smiling, but this deep, meaningful grin made Yu Yanshuang’s skin crawl.
The muscles in Sein’s arms bulged as he braced himself. Sein’s left hand was pressed near Yu Yanshuang’s pale left hand. Yu Yanshuang instinctively tried to hide his hand, but Sein pinned it down.
Yu Yanshuang’s heart tightened; he felt like a prey caught by a fierce, ruthless predator.
Sein wasn’t pressed tightly against him, but he was close enough for Yu Yanshuang to feel the slight warmth of his body. This distance made the back of Yu Yanshuang’s neck tingle with a dense, itchy sensation.
What made it worse was that Sein seemed to love this posture. Yu Yanshuang felt a phantom twitch in his lower abdomen.
He suddenly felt a deep sense of gloom, thinking he was doomed. Just Sein being close was enough to trigger memories of their absurd encounters.
That overwhelming pleasure… Yu Yanshuang had never experienced anything else, and at eighteen, it was hard not to think about it.
Sein watched Yu Yanshuang’s drifting eyes and asked, “Are you sad because I hurt you inside?”
He tried to explain, “In the car that day, I couldn’t see. Why didn’t you tell me?”
He could see at the hotel or in the dormitory. In the car, the light was dim, and since they only did it once, Sein thought it wouldn’t be enough to cause injury.
When he took Yu Yanshuang to the hotel later, Yu Yanshuang had woken up and insisted on washing and cleaning himself. Sein knew Yu Yanshuang was afraid Sein would pin him down in the bathroom again—which, frankly, he would have.
It was hard to resist someone who fit his aesthetic so perfectly.
At the hotel, seeing how determined Yu Yanshuang was, Sein agreed to let him clean himself. He hadn’t realized the little “straight guy” was actually hurting inside but was too embarrassed to say, and too afraid Sein would go for another round to ask for help.
That night, Sein saw how exhausted Yu Yanshuang looked, yet why did he walk so tall and proud? Seeing him like that, Sein really thought nothing was wrong—he thought he had made Yu Yanshuang so happy he was walking on air.
Sein rested his chin on the crown of Yu Yanshuang’s head, idly playing with his fingers, squeezing them joint by joint.
“When did it start hurting?” Sein asked curiously. “Only five times in total, but you cried seventeen times. How many of those were out of pleasure?”
Yu Yanshuang’s face was already completely red. He finished rinsing and tried to push Sein away to leave. Why were they still on this topic? He had faked amnesia precisely to forget his embarrassing moments.
Sein refused to let go, looking as if he intended to have a deep heart-to-heart talk. Since Yu Yanshuang wanted to date, and the ultimate goal of dating was to get into bed anyway, they had just started in reverse. They might as well get the bedroom details sorted first.
“Where’s Garcia?” Yu Yanshuang ran to the kitchen sink to wash his face, trying to change the subject. But Sein followed, resuming the same position behind him.
“He had business and left. Yu, were you hurting when you were crying and cursing me?” Sein continued, “But…”
“Sein!!”
Yu Yanshuang couldn’t take it anymore and interrupted. He finally admitted, “I’m not sad because of that! Stop mentioning it!”
Sein seemed somewhat helpless. “Fine. The stylist will be here soon. Today we’re going to the casino, I’ll take you to see Magic Mike, and then we’ll go on the Ferris wheel.”
Yu Yanshuang frowned. “That’s what I agreed to with Garcia. Sein, you’re acting completely different from what you promised last night. I need some quiet time alone.”
“Out of the question,” Sein replied expressionlessly. “A sad person is most vulnerable to others swooping in. I have to guard you unless you tell me why you’re sad.”
His Uncle Ash had done exactly that—stolen his brother’s boyfriend.
Yu Yanshuang refused to communicate further. Since he didn’t need to suck up to Sein anymore, he was too lazy to pretend.
After getting styled and heading out, Yu Yanshuang remained in a low mood, leaning against the car window and playing with his phone. He stared blankly at Garcia’s text messages.
[Yu, I have to confess. I realized long ago that Sein likes you and wants to turn you gay, so I selfishly wanted to keep you two apart.] [But I clearly got one thing wrong. Sein isn’t like those sugar daddies I know. In short, I figured it out—he actually wants to date you!] [This is beyond my expertise. I have some friends in Las Vegas who are “players,” I’ll go consult them. Until then, don’t provoke Sein too much, lest your ass pays the price.]
Sein wants to date me??
Why?
Does Sein think that suckling up to him like he did a few days ago constitutes dating?
He wouldn’t play along anymore. He’d just leave as soon as they were done! After three years, the contract would end, and they would likely never see each other again.
Because Yu Yanshuang had stopped trying to please him, Sein was now obsessed with figuring out why he was sad.
Yu Yanshuang became even less inclined to acknowledge Sein. Getting drunk just made his emotions flare up. So what if he was treated like he was “selling” himself? He’d just sell for three years.
Sein watched Yu Yanshuang’s expression grow more sorrowful. His mood shifted from “happy that Yu wants to date me” to “dating is a real pain, what on earth is he unhappy about?”
As if touching a sore spot, just as they arrived at the restaurant, Sein’s uncle, Ash, happened to be coming out.
“Heh, isn’t this my traitorous nephew who sold me out?” Ash, with his semi-long blonde hair and pure blue eyes, spoke in Mandarin.
He was roughly the same height as Sein but slightly leaner. Their features weren’t very similar; Ash was more conventionally handsome, while Sein, with his darker golden-bronze hair and gray eyes, looked colder and more stern.
Sein replied in Mandarin with a fake smile, “Isn’t this my Uncle Ash, who’s like a stray dog?”
He took the opportunity to hide Yu Yanshuang behind him.
Ash’s expression turned cold, his blue eyes narrowing. In that moment, the two of them looked quite similar in their icy sternness.
Yu Yanshuang found it fascinating—two Americans standing there chatting in standard Mandarin.
Ash emphasized, “I chose to give up the Bath name and leave the family for my lover. You’re the one who leaked those news and stories about me, right? You’ve ruined my reputation over the years.”
“It’s just the truth. You take Chu everywhere, drifting about with no fixed home, unable to protect your lover. You even rely on Chu to support you. It’s a good thing you gave up the Bath name.”
“What do you know?”
Those words enraged Ash so much he was ready to fight Sein on the spot.
Their confrontation was interrupted by the roar of a motorcycle. A slender man in a tight black racing suit rode a stunning motorcycle over and stopped beside Ash. When he took off his helmet, Ash’s anger seemed to vanish instantly. He naturally leaned in and kissed the corner of the man’s mouth.
Yu Yanshuang’s pupils dilated. He subconsciously looked around; there were people everywhere, attracted by the sound of the motorcycle, staring at Ash and the long-haired Chinese man kissing.
Yu Yanshuang noticed that the people around didn’t look disgusted.
He looked at the man on the motorcycle again. It was remarkable; the racing suit was cool, but the long hair gave him a literary and melancholic vibe. The man on the motorcycle perfectly blended the two styles.
He was also Chinese.
The two were openly affectionate, completely indifferent to the gazes of those around them. Perhaps because they were both so attractive, no one could hate such a same-sex couple.
“F1 racer Chu Siqing. His only flaw in life is my Uncle Ash,” Sein introduced for Yu Yanshuang’s benefit, then introduced Yu Yanshuang to Chu Siqing as “my little boyfriend.”
Yu Yanshuang pinched Sein’s arm. What happened to keeping our relationship hidden? As soon as he got the money, he was going to start a rumor that Sein was the one on the bottom.
Sein reassured him, “It’s fine. My immediate family all know about you. It’s in the contract.”
Yu Yanshuang nearly fainted… He hadn’t seen that part…
“Sein, stop provoking your Uncle Ash. Choosing to travel and play like this was my choice. Ash is just accommodating me. We are very happy; you just don’t understand us,” Chu Siqing said gently.
He then looked at Yu Yanshuang behind Sein and smiled. “This Ducati V4S has 214.3 horsepower. Want to give it a try?”
Yu Yanshuang paused, then shook his head. “241.1 horsepower, Mr. Chu.”
Chu Siqing gave a small smile. “My apologies, I misspoke. You know your stuff. Are you sure you don’t want to try?”
When he had ridden up from a distance, Yu Yanshuang was the only one whose eyes were fixed on the bike; everyone else was looking at him.
Sein felt a surge of pride. He put his arm around Yu Yanshuang. He hadn’t expected Yu Yanshuang to be so knowledgeable about bikes; Chu Siqing had clearly misstated the horsepower to test the kid.
Sein’s information on when Yu Yanshuang had started liking racing was still incomplete; he was still having a nanny who used to work for the Yu family gather information. But Sein could see that Yu Yanshuang loved racing—he even knew about two-wheelers.
Yet, Yu Yanshuang hadn’t even tried to go for a ride, staying obediently by his side.
Yu Yanshuang really does want to date me.
Sein said in a cheerful tone, “Little Yu, turns out you don’t want to leave my side for even a second.”
As if reminded, Yu Yanshuang pushed Sein away and immediately looked at Chu Siqing: “Can I try it now?”
All the joy vanished from Sein’s face. He watched Yu Yanshuang’s retreating back with a cold stare. He actually missed the way Yu Yanshuang used to obediently try to please him. It seemed he really needed to get this “dating” thing moving.
Chu Siqing was more than twenty years older than Yu Yanshuang. Seeing the young and beautiful boy’s well-behaved manner, he smiled even more warmly. “No problem. Get on. There’s a track nearby.”
The two rebels of the Bath family tried to follow, but Chu Siqing stopped them with a frown.
…
Yu Yanshuang followed Chu Siqing to the racetrack he mentioned. He saw many staff members greeting Chu Siqing as “President Chu.” He realized that this nearby track actually belonged to Chu Siqing. No wonder they ran into Sein’s uncle.
While putting on his racing suit and helmet next to the Ducati, he couldn’t help but ask, “Mr. Chu, don’t you find it… awkward to kiss a man in front of so many people?”
Actually, Yu Yanshuang was curious if it felt “shameful,” but that word was impolite.
Chu Siqing laughed. “What’s there to be awkward about?”
“I want everyone to know that I am the most charming man at the University of Chicago. I made the heir of the Bath family give up his inheritance and follow me around like a puppy. I even made him betray his faith, break with his lifelong brothers, and willingly become ‘the other man’.”
Yu Yanshuang’s eyes widened. That… did sound quite impressive.
Chu Siqing saw Yu Yanshuang’s expression and laughed heartily. He patted Yu Yanshuang’s helmet. “Go on, do a lap for me.”
Yu Yanshuang complied, fastening his helmet while saying, “Wait a moment.”
He walked the inner track once, carefully observing the road. Although it was unlikely there would be a gap like that night, Yu Yanshuang didn’t want to embarrass himself again. Moreover, motorcycles were different from cars; an injury would be much more serious.
By the time he finished his walk, nearly twenty minutes had passed. Chu Siqing was puzzled and asked why.
Yu Yanshuang’s expression was flat. “I like to get familiar with the track on my own two feet first.”
Chu Siqing’s team members had gathered around. Hearing this, they were perplexed. “Is that useful? We usually just do a warm-up lap in the car.”
Yu Yanshuang smiled without answering. He swung a long leg over the Ducati, revving the engine and creating a roar of sound.
Everyone watched as Yu Yanshuang shot off with incredible starting speed. During a sharp turn, he even leaned the bike so low it was nearly touching the ground, looking back to signal Chu Siqing.
“Wow!! Cool! Captain, where did you find this talent?” a team member asked, struck by Yu Yanshuang’s move.
Chu Siqing took out a cigarette and lit it, a smile playing on his lips. “This little guy didn’t even want to play with a Ducati at first.”
Someone leaned in to light Chu Siqing’s cigarette. “To lean the bike that far and even dare to look back while accelerating… he’s very confident.”
But just as everyone was praising him, Yu Yanshuang slowed down. Despite having built up great speed—ideal for showing off refined cornering techniques—he started acting like a “street punk,” popping a wheelie and standing up on the bike. He performed a cool stationary spin, even creating smoke from the friction. The professional team members looked confused, but the surrounding staff were cheering wildly.
Hearing the familiar cheers, the corners of Yu Yanshuang’s mouth under the helmet curled up. This move was something he had learned from the sons of some truck drivers back when he was a hauler. He had learned it to intimidate the “street punks” and had even created his own variation of the trick.
After showing off a few more moves and hearing the cheers get even louder, he stopped the bike and slowly rode toward Chu Siqing. One lap—he really did just one lap and stopped.
The team members who had just praised Yu Yanshuang looked stiff and confused. “Uh, Captain, wasn’t he here to test his skills? Was the sharp corner just to show off looking back? Then he slowed down just to do stunts? Shouldn’t the focus be on cornering technique and speed? What is he doing?”
Chu Siqing, however, was laughing as he leaned on the railing. He looked down at Yu Yanshuang, who had dismounted and was standing on the track holding his helmet, looking up at him. His pale, beautiful face was flushed with excitement, and his eyes were bright. He didn’t say a word, but he looked like a kitten seeking praise.
Chu Siqing tried to keep a straight face. “Yu, you’re quite impressive.”
Yu Yanshuang’s smile widened. “It was alright. I wonder if anyone got a video of that.”
Chu Siqing hadn’t expected a stunt show, so he hadn’t recorded it. He raised an eyebrow. “Do it again, I’ll record it for you.”
“No need,” Yu Yanshuang immediately shook his head.
A team member couldn’t help but ask, “What was that last move?”
“Want to learn?” Yu Yanshuang tried to keep a serious face. He was afraid of smiling too much; it wouldn’t be cool enough. It would be too obvious he was showing off.
The team member was about to shake his head, but Chu Siqing blew smoke in his face, so he quickly said, “Yes, yes, yes.”
“Don’t. It’s dangerous,” Yu Yanshuang answered flatly.
Chu Siqing could barely contain his laughter. He signaled to Yu Yanshuang, “Go do a few more laps.”
Yu Yanshuang shook his head. “That’s enough. I want to go back.”
“Does Sein keep such a tight leash on you?” Chu Siqing frowned, feeling slightly displeased. People in the Bath family were all a bit crazy; he felt Sein was the worst.
Yu Yanshuang still shook his head, hung up the helmet, and went through the tunnel to the spectator stands.
Once he was standing beside Chu Siqing, he said, “I’m just hungry. I want to go back and eat.”
Chu Siqing was even more baffled. This attitude was completely at odds with his skilled performance. When he was eighteen and loved cars, he would have spent all day on the track trying to get faster, unable to bear getting out.
Of course, Yu Yanshuang’s speed hadn’t actually been that fast, but it was highly ornamental, featuring classic moves from many legendary veteran racers. Paradoxically, these showy moves had hampered his speed. It was as if Yu Yanshuang had no intention of actually racing; his mind was entirely on showing off.
“How are you with four-wheelers? Want to be a racer?” Chu Siqing asked. “I’ve already swept the championships in four-wheel drive events, and now I’m playing with two wheels. Whichever direction you want to go, I can lead you.”
Even if Yu Yanshuang was just showing off, Chu Siqing understood that it actually proved Yu Yanshuang’s innate talent for vehicle control.
Yu Yanshuang shook his head. “No. It’s too dangerous.”
At over forty, Chu Siqing had developed a gentle temperament, but at this moment, his youthful temper almost flared up. “Any one of those stunts you just did was more dangerous than a lap on the track!”
“Mr. Chu, don’t be angry. I know what I’m doing with those moves.”
Chu Siqing was almost amused by his anger. He felt he couldn’t understand what an eighteen-year-old boy was thinking.
…
“I see.”
Sein stared at the files in his hand, his expression grim.
His assistant said, “This nanny only worked there for six months, so that’s all she knows. She was fired for secretly helping Yu Yanshuang. I’m still looking for the other nannies.”
“Continue. Also, investigate the Yu family’s assets and business fields.”
Sein added, “Go buy the best basketball first. I heard the Rockets are playing in Las Vegas; get them all to sign it.”
The assistant murmured, “Mr. Sein… uh, if you give a gift like that, Mr. Yu will realize you investigated him.”
“He won’t. Someone like you who’s never been in love wouldn’t understand,” Sein dismissed the assistant’s concern. “Once these two things are done, it’ll be Christmas soon. You can take some time off and go date someone. Like me.”
Assistant: “……”
Sein ignored him and re-watched the video his high school classmate—a hacker from an AI team—had intercepted from the track’s surveillance.
Yu Yanshuang had been having a great time. What had he done to make Yu Yanshuang so unhappy?
In the footage, when Yu Yanshuang made the bike stand up and spin, his upper body was twisting. His waist was so thin. Sein subconsciously remembered when Yu Yanshuang lay before him; he could grasp that waist with one hand.
Since they were dating, maybe their next date could be at the racetrack. Sein immediately ordered a Ducati.
His expression brightened slightly, but turned grim again when he caught sight of the report.
The latest report from a fired nanny revealed that after Yu Yanshuang’s adoptive mother learned he had been switched at birth, she began to suppress him. When they still thought he was biological, they had encouraged his love for vehicles, taking him to learn youth motorcycling and four-wheel racing.
After the truth came out, everything changed. She had personally nurtured his interests only to systematically destroy them—she threw away his completed model cars and forbade him from watching any racing or even touching a car.
If Yu Chenzhou tried to secretly take him to watch a race, she would lock Yu Yanshuang in solitary confinement upon their return. If he tried to watch on his own, it was more confinement. Eventually, even Yu Chenzhou didn’t dare help.
Soon, Yu Yanshuang didn’t dare touch anything related to racing. But he was only fourteen or fifteen; as soon as he shifted his focus, his adoptive mother would follow like a shadow. For example, a basketball signed by star players that he had painstakingly acquired would be “gifted” to a visiting child from a side branch of the family. By the time Yu Yanshuang got home, the child would have been gone for hours with the ball. Or, knowing he hated humanities, she forced him to major in them.
Thus, Yu Yanshuang quickly learned never to show what he liked, because his mother would ensure he couldn’t have it. But he wasn’t calculating enough; if he liked a food, he couldn’t help eating an extra piece—and then she would never let him have it again. If he hated something, he’d try to take less, and she would force him to eat more.
Sein felt a cold weight in his heart, especially reading about how Yu Yanshuang had found a stray kitten and hidden it outside the villa. The next day, he found his mother had ordered it thrown away. This nanny had secretly helped him bring it back and hide it, only to be caught and fired. The kitten’s whereabouts remained unknown.
Sein started looking at cats.
“That cat is very cute.”
Ash’s voice suddenly came from behind Sein.
Sein immediately slammed his laptop shut and turned off his phone, his face darkening. “Uncle Ash, you still love doing underhanded things.”
“I’ve been standing behind you for a long time, little Sein. Your alertness has dropped,” Ash said leisurely as he sat down opposite Sein. “Is this how you try to win over your wife? This is the first time I’ve seen someone stare at a person’s life history to decide what gifts to give.”
Sein replied bluntly, “You still haven’t managed to move in with Chu. You have no right to criticize me.”
Ash: “……”
He had to admit, Sein’s habit of knowing everything made him exceptionally good at striking where it hurt.
“I bet you anything that doing this won’t make Yu like you.” Ash took a sip of coffee. “However, my Chu likes me very much.”
“Liking and love are the most useless things. Old Bath loved you so much, yet to stabilize the family, he still kicked you out. Chu likes you so much, yet when you were fighting Old Bath and he almost shot you dead, and you ran out of the manor covered in blood—Chu didn’t even visit you for a month because of a race.”
Sein spoke calmly.
Take his own father, for example. If Sein came in first, Charles would praise him and say he was the pride of the Bath family. But if he lost a race, Charles would say with a dark face: “You’re a disgrace to the Bath name, useless.”
Or his mother. When he turned eighteen, she brought in blonde girls who had been groomed to marry into wealth and forced Sein to pick one, just so she could be “set free.” She promised that if he chose, he would be her “dearest baby.” When Sein refused, she shattered his eighteenth birthday gift without hesitation.
Liking and love were like that. Fleeting and useless. Only what he held in his hands, only power and status, were truly useful.
Ash couldn’t help explaining one more time: “That was because I also loved my papa. He was good to me and raised me by hand. I didn’t want to make things difficult for him. To be with my lover, I chose to give up my inheritance and my name. And I love Chu, too. Besides, I didn’t die! Of course his race was more important.”
“A coward’s excuse,” Sein evaluated without hesitation. “I will take control of the Bath family, and I will no longer follow the same religion as them.”
Ash sneered. “You can’t do it. You’ll only lose everything and hurt Old Bath and my mom. If you turn against all the branches of the family, you’ll be putting Yu in real danger. Not to mention, you’ll destroy Old Bath’s commercial empire.”
“Do you think the media spin you’re using to suppress rumors about you and Yu will work forever?”
Sein smiled slightly but didn’t speak. Before succeeding, he would not reveal his preparations. He stood up, clipped a cigar, and said coldly, “I don’t care about the doubts of a failure.”
“Ha! Arrogance! I was more arrogant than you at twenty! You think you can control the political and military influence of the Baths in America while pivoting to new industries like a parvenu? You think you can throw away the old religious and family constraints, and those old-guard politicians who bleed us dry?”
Ash sneered, swearing, “If you succeed, I’ll take your name.” Since being removed from the family, he had taken “Chu” as his surname.
Sein frowned, unwilling to engage in further useless arguing. He cut a section of his cigar and walked to the balcony, his gaze scanning the cars driving in and out, looking for a specific figure.
When he heard the familiar motorcycle roar and spotted Yu Yanshuang, he immediately extinguished the cigar, left the booth, and instructed a servant: “Prepare strawberry mousse, cola, and cherries.”
Sein turned a corner downstairs and ran right into Yu Yanshuang coming up the stairs. He raised an eyebrow. “Did you have fun?”
The moment Yu Yanshuang saw Sein, he huffed and ignored him, brushing past him quickly.
Behind him, Ash’s grin turned wicked as he passed Sein and kissed Chu Siqing. “Sein, ‘liking’ and ‘love’ are the most useless things.”
Sein’s expression remained unchanged. He took a large step up the stairs and caught Yu Yanshuang, who had been jogging. He pulled Yu Yanshuang close and kissed his cheek.
Yu Yanshuang: “……”
He wiped his cheek with increasing frustration.
During dinner, only two of the four people were enjoying themselves. Sein watched Ash and Chu acting all lovey-dovey, while Yu Yanshuang next to him didn’t have a good look on his face.
Sein said tonelessly, “Uncle Ash, you should leave. Old Bath is on his way to Las Vegas.”
“Traitor!” Ash’s angry voice rang through the booth.
Sein finally smiled with pleasure. He took Yu Yanshuang’s hand and stood up. “Let’s go. It’s time for our date.”
…
Only when they arrived at Magic Mike did Yu Yanshuang realize that these bars had special VIP entrances. They didn’t even need a reservation like he and Garcia did. A private elevator took them to a VIP booth with a panoramic window that offered a clear view of the stage without being disturbed by others.
But Yu Yanshuang secretly wanted to go downstairs and squeeze in with the crowd. Bars were only fun when you were dancing with everyone else. Last night with Garcia, Garcia was a master at livening things up; half the bar had swarmed over to dance with him.
Yu Yanshuang was too shy to dance, having never learned hip-hop, but he was good at drinking games. He had led a bunch of Americans who were also afraid to dance in a game of Chinese finger-guessing (Huaquan).
Sitting in this cold, aloof VIP booth with Sein felt empty and boring. But how could someone like Sein ever agree to squeeze in with the masses? Even at his own friends’ gatherings, he would just show his face and then disappear.
Yu Yanshuang said nothing, lounging listlessly on the large sofa and sipping a cocktail. Sein didn’t stare at him directly; there were many mirrors in the booth, allowing him to see Yu Yanshuang’s expression clearly from any angle. He was still unhappy.
During dinner, Sein had noticed Yu Yanshuang constantly watching the interaction between Ash and Chu. So, Sein asked, “Is the way Uncle Ash and Mr. Chu date the way you want to date?”
Yu Yanshuang was horrified. Did Sein mean he wanted them to act like that in the future? After all, Sein did want to date him!
Thinking about how Ash and Chu had to hold hands during dinner, exchange sweet smiles, and even how Ash had to give Chu a list of sweet nothings before fleeing—it made Yu Yanshuang’s skin crawl to imagine Sein acting like that.
“Let’s not talk about others behind their backs,” Yu Yanshuang replied with a stiff face.
Since Yu Yanshuang wouldn’t give a direct answer, Sein stared at him, trying to analyze if he actually wanted it or not. He couldn’t tell if Yu Yanshuang shared his view that hiding and running didn’t count as dating, or if Yu Yanshuang was just too shy to admit he wanted to be “fugitive lovers.”
In short, Sein missed the way Yu Yanshuang had looked a few days ago. Or even the way he looked when they first met and he was fiercely threatening him. Anything but this lifeless, indifferent attitude.
“Then let’s raise that cat,” Sein suddenly announced. “Move in with me.”
“No! How did we jump to that?” Yu Yanshuang said, resigned. “If you want to do it, just do it. Stop being so weird!”
He’d rather be exhausted from sex and sleep, and then be allowed to leave the next day. Anything was better than this endless questioning.
Yu Yanshuang’s dismissiveness was too obvious. Sein’s face went cold. He stared at Yu Yanshuang. “What do I have to do to make you like you were a few days ago?”
The dim lighting should have been romantic, but it felt like they were in a freezer. Yu Yanshuang began to feel afraid. Was Sein angry because he wouldn’t date him?
Seeing Yu Yanshuang’s breathing become cautious, Sein felt even more stifled, and his expression grew darker. Yu Yanshuang’s legs were shaking slightly. Sein had been so rough with him in bed; he was terrified Sein would be even worse.
Who forces someone to “sell” themselves and then forces them to smile about it?
Yu Yanshuang felt sad and didn’t want to compromise, but he watched as Sein started drinking in silence.
Wait, why is he drinking?
“Sein! Fine, we’ll date! Just don’t use drinking as an excuse to torture me!” Yu Yanshuang didn’t know what would happen, but the way Sein was drinking was terrifying. He immediately backed down.
Sein continued drinking expressionlessly.
Fine. Yu Yanshuang didn’t look good when he cried while sad. His mother didn’t treat him well, no one in his family did. He was all alone, and he wanted to date Sein so badly.
Actually, Sein knew that no normal dating style suited them. They were different from any other couple. Ash’s “neurotic” style certainly wouldn’t suit Yu Yanshuang.
Perhaps Yu Yanshuang preferred the style from the beginning—the one where he could threaten Sein. He had looked so happy when he was texting Sein then. He would even take the initiative to kiss him, touch him, and invite him to hotels.
Sein had downed nearly two-thirds of the whiskey. He needed to get drunk to give Yu Yanshuang some “leverage” so he wouldn’t be suspicious.
Just like the first time at the villa, when he patiently faked being drunk to lead Yu Yanshuang to the garden. Just like at the hotel, when he patiently waited for eight hours.
Sein had had enough. He stood up, loosening his tie as he walked toward Yu Yanshuang. Yu Yanshuang had been trying to get him to stop drinking, only to see him stop and walk over.
Sein had been styled today, too. His gold-black hair was slicked back, revealing his cold, sharp features. He undid his shirt buttons in three quick moves. When he stood before Yu Yanshuang, all Yu Yanshuang could see was a powerful, muscular chest and a waist that looked fierce because of his broad shoulders.
Yu Yanshuang’s voice trembled. “Sein! Don’t come over. What are you doing? I said I’d date you!”
Sein suddenly knelt between Yu Yanshuang’s legs on the sofa. Yu Yanshuang was forced to look at those beautiful abs and the sculpted, sexy Adonis belt.
Sein’s movements were exactly like the male strippers Yu Yanshuang had just seen, trying to please a customer.
Yu Yanshuang couldn’t help but think: Is it because I stopped trying to please him that Sein got sad, got himself drunk, and is now acting crazy?
Did I turn him gay that thoroughly?
So Sein actually doesn’t see me as just someone selling his ass?
While Yu Yanshuang was still in a daze, Sein took action. He quietly turned on the camera on Yu Yanshuang’s phone.
Sein arched his back and leaned his face close to Yu Yanshuang’s cheek. “Little master, will you please touch me?”
