The Film Empress White Moonlight Wants To Be A Salted Fish - Chapter 67.1
After helping Xie Shuyao onto the sofa and covering her with a thin blanket, Wen Shiyan and Lu Yiran returned to their bedroom.
On the bed, Lu Yiran said to Wen Shiyan with a bashful look, “I have to wear a dress tomorrow…”
Wen Shiyan lowered her head and kissed Lu Yiran’s collarbone. “Don’t worry, I won’t leave any marks.”
The bedroom door wasn’t closed tightly. In the middle of the night, Xie Shuyao faintly heard some noises coming from inside. But because she was somewhat drunk, Xie Shuyao didn’t pay much attention. She got up from the sofa, stumbled, and pushed open the door to Wen Shiyan’s bedroom.
“Sis, Mom asked me to tell you that you should bring Sister Yiran home for a visit when you have time.”
After Xie Shuyao spoke, the two people inside were clearly stunned, but Xie Shuyao didn’t notice anything. She swayed again and returned to the sofa, collapsing onto it and falling asleep.
The next morning, Lu Yiran woke up early. Lu Yiran yawned and sat at the dining table, eating. Wen Shiyan poured her a glass of milk.
After drinking the milk, Lu Yiran said to Wen Shiyan, “I’m full. Should I wake them up?” Lu Yiran said, pointing at Xie Shuyao, who was about to fall off the sofa.
Wen Shiyan got up, gently pushed Xie Shuyao further onto the sofa, and said to Lu Yiran, “No need. I’ll talk to them later. I’ll take you to school first.”
Before leaving, Lu Yiran went to the mirror and pulled down her collar a little. Perfect, nothing was visible.
Since almost everyone in their circle now knew about the relationship between Lu Yiran and Wen Shiyan, when Lu Yiran’s classmates saw that she was personally dropped off at school by Wen Shiyan, they immediately surrounded Lu Yiran after she got out of the car, asking her about Wen Shiyan.
“Are you two really together? Are you sure it’s not a publicity stunt?”
“I never would have guessed, Lu Yiran. Your family is so powerful, and you’re even with Wen Shiyan. Why didn’t you tell us before?”
“Exactly! We even shared a dorm before. Why didn’t you tell us something like this?”
Lu Yiran didn’t recognize the men and women surrounding her, but if she ignored them, someone with ill intentions would definitely post about it on Weibo, which would cause trouble for Wen Shiyan…
Wen Shiyan had planned to enter the campus after Lu Yiran had left, but then she saw Lu Yiran being surrounded and unable to move. When she got out of the car, everyone looked at her, and the people surrounding Lu Yiran unconsciously made way for Wen Shiyan.
Coming to Lu Yiran’s side, Wen Shiyan put her arm around Lu Yiran’s shoulder and smiled at the people around them, saying, “Excuse me, everyone. I didn’t realize Yiran was so popular. I’m going to borrow her for a moment. You can talk to her later if you want.”
“No bother, no bother.” The people said, letting the two of them leave. Lu Yiran heard the whispers of people behind her.
Wen Shiyan took Lu Yiran’s hand and said to her, “Let’s go.”
After dropping Lu Yiran off at her destination, Wen Shiyan left. Lu Yiran thought Wen Shiyan would stay to watch her graduate. Seeing Wen Shiyan leave, she felt a little disappointed.
Chen Ziyun woke up and saw the message Wen Shiyan had sent her. She called Lu Yiran and asked, “You’ve already arrived at school?”
“Mhm.” Lu Yiran sighed and said to Chen Ziyun, “Wen Shiyan seems to have left.”
Chen Ziyun hadn’t expected Wen Shiyan to leave. Wen Shiyan had seemed quite eager to see Lu Yiran’s graduation ceremony. She asked Lu Yiran in disbelief, “She really didn’t wait for you?”
“I saw she had left, but it’s fine, it’s just a graduation ceremony.”
Lu Yiran hung up the phone and waited for the graduation ceremony to begin.
However, Wen Shiyan hadn’t left at all. A teacher had suddenly called her and seemed to be in a hurry. She hadn’t had time to tell Lu Yiran before leaving. She had originally planned to give Lu Yiran a surprise, but fearing that Lu Yiran might misunderstand and be upset, she gave up on the idea.
She called Lu Yiran as she walked, but couldn’t get through. She sent Lu Yiran a message, but Lu Yiran didn’t reply either.
A teacher saw Wen Shiyan constantly looking at her phone and asked her, “Shiyan, do you have something urgent to attend to?”
Wen Shiyan put her phone away, shook her head, and said to the teacher, “No… Please continue.”
The teacher joked with Wen Shiyan, “I was wondering why you accepted the school’s invitation this year. You seemed busy in previous years. Turns out you came this time to accompany your little lover.”
Lu Yiran’s phone was accidentally bumped onto the floor by someone after she hung up with Chen Ziyun. The person offered to give her contact information and compensate her with a new phone, but Lu Yiran looked at her black-screened phone and refused.
Wen Shiyan searched for Lu Yiran for a while before finding her in the crowd. Lu Yiran also saw Wen Shiyan and was a little surprised that Wen Shiyan was still at school.
Lu Yiran walked toward Wen Shiyan and asked her, “Wen Shiyan? Why are you still here?”
Wen Shiyan took out a tissue and wiped the light sweat from Lu Yiran’s forehead.
“I didn’t leave in the first place. I was just about to tell you, but I couldn’t get through to your phone for some reason, and you didn’t reply to my messages,” Wen Shiyan complained.
“This…” Lu Yiran took out her broken phone. Wen Shiyan saw it and asked worriedly, “Did you hurt yourself anywhere?”
Lu Yiran gave the broken phone to Wen Shiyan and said, “No, I didn’t, it was just bumped, and the phone fell.”
Hearing that Lu Yiran was okay, Wen Shiyan was relieved.
After finding a seat with Wen Shiyan, Lu Yiran suddenly asked Wen Shiyan, “Wen Shiyan, you didn’t just come to school to accompany me, did you?”
Wen Shiyan heard Lu Yiran’s words, smiled, and said to her, “Yiran is smart indeed, but my main reason for coming to school is to accompany you.”
Their every move attracted the attention of others around them, and some people even secretly took photos of the two of them and posted them on Weibo.
A commotion suddenly arose not far away, and Lu Yiran saw several security guards rushing over.
Lu Yiran paid no mind, but Wen Shiyan looked toward that direction with extreme caution.
“Oh, isn’t this Lu Yiran? You two made me look for you for a while.”
A person suddenly appeared next to Lu Yiran. This person was completely wrapped up from head to toe, making it impossible to tell who it was, and even their voice had been disguised with a voice changer.
But Lu Yiran recognized her instantly.
Lu Yiran’s body instinctively pulled Wen Shiyan far away from Qin Mo. Her voice trembled as she questioned, “Qin Mo, how did you get here…”
“Didn’t I say it? I came to kill you.” Qin Mo said, standing up and taking out the hidden knife.
She smiled and said to Lu Yiran, “Don’t worry, it won’t hurt much if you don’t struggle. One quick moment, and you won’t feel anything anymore.”
Qin Mo played with the knife in her hand, talking and pressing closer to Lu Yiran and Wen Shiyan.
Lu Yiran looked around, but the people around had all run off to one side to watch the excitement, even the security guards were over there.
There were chairs all around. If they tried to run straight, they would definitely be caught by Qin Mo.
Wen Shiyan looked at Qin Mo in front of them. She subtly pulled Lu Yiran’s hand and retreated a few steps. The chairs were in the way. Before Qin Mo could get close to them, Wen Shiyan suddenly kicked over several chairs and pulled Lu Yiran to run away.
The rest of the people seemed unable to hear the commotion on Lu Yiran’s side and continued to do their own things.
Lu Yiran called out to the security guards, but the security guards didn’t even look at them.
“It’s no use, just obediently go and die!” Qin Mo took the knife and was about to stab Lu Yiran. Lu Yiran could have dodged, but her body stiffened as if it were out of control.
“Yiran!”
Wen Shiyan blocked Lu Yiran. Bright red blood splattered onto Lu Yiran’s face. Lu Yiran stared blankly as Wen Shiyan collapsed in front of her.
Lu Yiran knelt on the ground, helplessly looking at Wen Shiyan. She wanted to help Wen Shiyan up but was afraid of causing Wen Shiyan further injury because of her. She covered the wound with her hand, and the blood flowed continuously, staining Lu Yiran’s hand and clothes.
Qin Mo threw the knife on the ground and snorted, “Isn’t this better?”
Her goal was to kill Wen Shiyan, but seeing Wen Shiyan willingly step in to save Lu Yiran, she couldn’t help but sigh.
“Don’t blame me, blame yourself.”
After speaking, Qin Mo vanished from the spot.
The people around seemed to be able to see Lu Yiran and Wen Shiyan again. Seeing the blood on the two of them and on the ground, some people in the crowd started to scream.
“Wen Shiyan… Who told you to block it! Are you an idiot?!” Lu Yiran cried, covering Wen Shiyan’s wound.
Wen Shiyan coughed up blood and said weakly to Lu Yiran, “I scared you… I’m sorry…”
Wen Shiyan reached out and covered Lu Yiran’s eyes, not wanting her to see the blood.
“Don’t cry… See, I’m fine, aren’t I?” Wen Shiyan forced a smile at Lu Yiran.
