The Ex-Wife of the Scumbag A Who Abandoned the Female Lead - Chapter 14
Perhaps starting with a kiss would be better?
Shi Nuocen hesitated, lowering her head to approach those flushed, sensitive earlobes. For some reason, she mischievously blew a cool breath, and as expected, it caused the person in her arms to tremble slightly. Her lips parted, letting out a dissatisfied whimper.
“Stop teasing me!” Her ex-wife’s eyes, glistening with moisture, seemed to say, “How could you be so mean?”
Seeing her so pitifully adorable, Shi Nuocen’s heart softened. She pressed her lips to the burning earlobe, then gently took it into her mouth. Her ex-wife’s body trembled again, but this time it was from pleasure.
Her hand trailed down Ru Xi Cheng’s slender neck until it reached the slightly swollen Omega gland, flushed a deep crimson. It couldn’t wait any longer. Her fingertips first massaged the area around the neck in gentle circles.
“Hurry up! I’m so uncomfortable, I want…” Her ex-wife murmured fragmented words.
“I’ll make you feel good right away.”
Shi Nuocen chuckled softly, leaning in to press her lips against the gland. The moment she bit down; a torrent of intense, rich Alpha pheromones surged into it.
…
After the marking, her ex-wife, weak and limp, leaned against her, eyes dazed as she lingered in the afterglow of the marking while slowly catching her breath. Suddenly, in a hoarse voice, she said, “Next time, remember to release your pheromones first. It’ll feel better for me.”
Hearing this, Shi Nuocen raised an elegant eyebrow: Look at that, it hasn’t been long since our arrangement started, and the boss is already making demands.
Her eyes shifted mischievously as she deliberately leaned closer and asked, “Does that mean I should also touch all your other sensitive spots, like—” Her gaze drifted downward.
But before she could finish, her lips were covered by a delicate hand.
Ru Xi Cheng’s cheeks flushed, unsure whether from embarrassment or anger. “You decide for yourself. I just want to feel good.”
Shi Nuocen parted her red lips, exhaling a warm breath against the palm, then tilted her head back to evade the blockade. With a meaningful smile, she said, “Then next time, it’d be more convenient if you wore a long dress.”
Ru Xi Cheng seemed angered, shooting her a sidelong glare before turning away, refusing to look at her.
Gazing at her slender back, the image of the swollen, red gland still vivid in her mind, Shi Nuocen couldn’t help but poke her ex-wife’s arm gently and ask in a soft voice, “Why didn’t you remove my mark?”
If that were the case, how much suffering must she have endured every month during her heat over the past three years? An Omega with a lifelong mark, unless it’s removed, will still experience pain no matter how effective suppressants are.
Was it to remember the hatred through pain? Before today’s marking, Shi Nuocen would have thought her ex-wife despised her. But the pleasure her ex-wife showed during the marking was undeniably real even joyful.
Perhaps her ex-wife didn’t hate her after all. Perhaps she even still liked her a little? Shi Nuocen couldn’t help but entertain such uncertain thoughts.
Ru Xi Cheng seemed to pause for a moment before lifting her gaze, a faint, almost imperceptible hope flickering in her eyes. “Why are you asking me this? What’s on your mind?”
This truly stumped Shi Nuocen. She thought for a moment before hesitantly replying, “Probably out of concern and curiosity. Because I think if you were to start a brand-new life. Say, if you met your true love someday keeping the old mark would ultimately be a hassle.”
The light in Ru Xi Cheng’s eyes dimmed. She had long known this person was inherently emotionally detached and hard to warm up to. Though she had anticipated this, disappointment was unavoidable. When she spoke again, her words carried an unintended chill: “In your view, is a 100% compatibility lifelong mark so easy to remove? And given my special constitution, it’s even more difficult. The doctor said it would take at least several dozen more attempts before it could possibly be completely erased.”
Shi Nuocen didn’t know much about Omega mark removal either. Seeing her ex-wife speak so convincingly, she believed her.
Seeing that Shi Nuocen actually bought it, Ru Xi Cheng felt a pang of bitterness. She abruptly changed the subject, her tone cold and rigid: “Besides, there’s no need for you to worry. I have no plans to marry anyone else in the next few years.”
Hearing this, Shi Nuocen raised an elegant eyebrow, skeptical. After all, once the story’s main love interest appeared, whether to marry or not would hardly matter once emotions took over.
Ru Xi Cheng noticed the look on her face. Completely dismissive, as if to say, “Say whatever you want, I’ll listen casually” and grew even more irritated. Her pink lips parted slightly, and she suddenly turned and bit Shi Nuocen’s arm, fuming inwardly: How can this person be like this? She doesn’t believe what she should and believes what she shouldn’t. The tenderness during the marking was clearly just an illusion.
“Hey, why are you biting me?” Shi Nuocen pushed her smooth forehead lightly and exclaimed in a low voice.
Realizing what she had done, Ru Xi Cheng’s eyes widened slightly, feeling a bit embarrassed, and she instinctively licked the spot with her tongue.
Shi Nuocen pulled her arm back to look; the bite wasn’t deep, just faint teeth marks glistening with moisture, giving it an oddly alluring appearance.
She glanced at the time and asked, “Is there nothing else for now?”
Ru Xi Cheng narrowed her eyes and retorted, “Why, do you have something to do?”
“I still have to go back to shoot an ad and a fight scene.” After all, Shi Nuocen wasn’t one to go back on her word once she’d agreed.
“Are you planning to stay with the company you signed with?”
“Probably.” Shi Nuocen’s tone was somewhat uncertain.
Ru Xi Cheng proactively opened the car door and leaned forward. “I forgot to mention earlier. Starting soon, you’ll have to come stay at the Ru family home with me for a few days every week.”
Shi Nuocen paused mid-step as she was about to get out of the car, turning back in disbelief. “Is the Ru family pushing marriage that hard?” This wasn’t just urging. It felt more like forcing a marriage! No wonder her ex-wife was so eager to use her as a shield.
Ru Xi Cheng remained silent, which was as good as admitting it. After a moment, she added, “I’ll have my secretary draft a contract based on the terms we discussed today. You can sign it then.”
Shi Nuocen’s mind was still preoccupied with the idea of staying at the Ru residence every week. For some reason, the thought of seeing her little niece sparked a flicker of anticipation.
But what she never expected was that she would see her again so soon.
