The Esports Little Demon King Is a Sweet and Fierce Omega - Chapter 25
The physical team uniforms Zhou Funian custom-ordered for everyone were designed in a military style. The primary color was a sharp black, accented with intricate dark gold embroidery along the edges. On the left chest of the jacket, the team’s logo and the player’s name ID were elegantly stitched.
The shirts and trousers were also black, though the details at the collar varied for each person.
Feng Wu’s collar had no accessories because he preferred to leave it open. Tian Jiu had a cute bow tie; Mo Li had a delicate collar pin; Lin Luohai wore a thin ribbon tied into a knot; and Shi Xincheng wore a meticulous, traditional necktie.
The five of them stood in a casual line with Feng Wu at the center. The shorter Tian Jiu and Mo Li stood on either side of him, while Lin Luohai and Shi Xincheng stood on the outermost ends. All five looked toward the lens.
The photo was captured as a “dynamic picture” and posted on the official website, formally announcing the roster. The comment section was instantly swamped by fans.
【Jiu-jiu is secretly tugging on God Wu’s sleeve, ugh, so cute I’m crying!】
【God Wu, ahhh! My husband is so handsome!】
【Mo Li is actually back, I’m sobbing. Fulfill your dreams at FOX; I hope you never encounter unfairness again.】
【Wait, while I admit Lin Luohai and Shi Xincheng are good, weren’t there better options?】
【And Mo Li’s past is still murky. Does anyone else feel like the FOX trials peaked early and ended flat? Can this group really make it?】
Because of the trials, the controversy surrounding Mo Li had resurfaced. Since the true details were known only to his former teammates, wild rumors followed him and by extension, the rest of FOX.
However, as far as Zhou Funian and Feng Wu were concerned, if they believed these were the right people, then that was the end of it. Regarding Mo Li’s past, he seemed reluctant to speak, so Tian Jiu and the others didn’t push him. They would wait until he was ready.
FOX offered no response to the gossip. On the battlefield, results would speak for themselves.

A Rough Start to Training:
Now, they needed to focus entirely on training. Zhou Funian listed a detailed schedule and assigned different tasks to everyone.
“I’ll take Lin Luohai and Mo Li to test their pheromone levels. Feng Wu, you take Xiao Jiu and Shi Xincheng to the Mecha Hall,” Zhou Funian arranged.
Tian Jiu had plenty of strength and stamina, but his technical skills lagged behind the others, so he needed to focus on combat maneuvers. Shi Xincheng, being a Beta Defender, relied almost entirely on physical stamina for his defensive skills and basic attacks, meaning his physical training would be more rigorous than anyone else’s.
Inside the massive training hall, the space was divided into three zones: fitness, mecha-assisted training, and a combat area covered in safety mats.
“You probably have your own routine, right?” Feng Wu asked Shi Xincheng.
“I usually warm up for forty minutes before starting the mecha assistance,” Shi Xincheng replied, heading to the fitness area.
Tian Jiu was buzzing with excitement. “What about me, Captain?”
“Warm up.”
“Oh? Am I running too?”
Feng Wu laughed and led him to the combat zone. “No running. Just stretching for now.”
In his past life, Tian Jiu had been sickly, spending more time lying down than playing games. His knowledge of stretching was limited to the basics he’d learned for the trials, and without a coach, his form was poor.
“Don’t be afraid of the pain. Take it slow,” Feng Wu said patiently.
Tian Jiu sat on the floor, legs straight, reaching for his toes. His fingertips barely reached his ankles before he hit his limit. His face turned red as he strained forward. “Captain,” he called out, looking up with a pitiful expression.
Feng Wu squatted behind him, placing a hand on his back. “I’ll help you press down. Tell me if it really hurts.”
“Okay.”
As Feng Wu applied slight pressure, Tian Jiu let out a whimper. His fingers finally touched his toes, but he didn’t last a second before yelping. “Ow, ow, ow! Captain, it hurts!”
The moment Feng Wu let go, Tian Jiu flopped backward, sprawled on the mat like a salted-fish red panda. “My legs feel like they’ve run away from home,” he groaned.
Feng Wu raised an eyebrow. “That bad? Should I rub them for you?”
Tian Jiu looked shy. “That… wouldn’t be very polite, would it?” He felt a bit embarrassed asking for a massage when he hadn’t even done anything yet.
Feng Wu flicked his forehead with a chuckle. “Dream on. Get up and keep going.”

Hidden Bruises:
Ten minutes later, Feng Wu prepared to teach him combat. However, after less than two minutes of sparring, Feng Wu went silent.
“Captain, why did we stop?” Tian Jiu asked obediently.
Feng Wu was speechless. He had gained a new understanding of Tian Jiu’s power. In the face of such overwhelming raw strength, technique was merely a secondary support.
“Come here.” Feng Wu led him to the most agile mecha, Unit 2. “You don’t need many offensive techniques. Focus on practicing your evasion skills.”
“Oh! Li Zhen said the same thing!” Tian Jiu noted.
“Don’t think about outsiders right now,” Feng Wu said. “Focus.”
Unit 2 was a pure speed-based mecha. By the time the morning was over, Tian Jiu was drenched in sweat and covered in various bruises. It wasn’t until Tian Jiu rolled up his sleeves to drink some water that Feng Wu noticed the dark marks on his arms.
Feng Wu grabbed his arm, pushing the sleeve higher. “How did you…”
Tian Jiu shook his head. “It’s fine, Captain. My body just bruises easily. It doesn’t actually hurt.”
Shi Xincheng, also sweating buckets, walked over and gasped. “You look like you’ve been through a meat grinder. How can that not hurt?”
“Really, it’s not that bad.” Tian Jiu rolled up the other sleeve to reveal more marks. “See? Even a light bump leaves a mark. It’s truly fine.”
Feng Wu stared at him for two seconds before saying, “Let’s stop here for now. We’ll resume in the afternoon.”

The Team Lunch:
Back at the villa, Zhou Funian’s group had returned.
“You’re back!” Zhou Funian was beaming. “Wait until you hear Lin Luohai’s results.”
“S-rank?” Tian Jiu guessed.
“Not that high, but still impressive! A+!”
“Wow! Brother Lin, you’re so cool!” Tian Jiu cheered.
Lin Luohai ruffled his buzz cut. “I knew there was a reason I could take on those thugs in the Lower District. It wasn’t just my fists; my pheromones are top-tier too.”
Zhou Funian was in high spirits. “Take a break, everyone. I’ve ordered seafood. After we eat, we’ll run a practice match to test our synergy.”
Tian Jiu happily grabbed Mo Li’s arm. “Let’s go get ice cream! Captain bought a bunch; they’re in the fridge!”
Mo Li stared dazed at his own wrist before being dragged away. In the kitchen, Tian Jiu opened the freezer. “All the flavors are good, but mango is my favorite. What do you like?”
Mo Li lowered his head. “I… I won’t eat.”
“Why?” Tian Jiu asked. “Captain said all Omegas like sweets.”
Mo Li looked at him through his glasses. This vibrant, happy Omega must have been very well protected. He himself couldn’t remember the last time he felt this carefree. He felt an instinctive fear of accepting such direct kindness like a trauma response, he was always looking for the hidden blade behind the smile.
But his logic told him Tian Jiu wouldn’t hurt him. FOX felt safer than anywhere he’d ever been.
“Mo Li? What’s wrong?” Tian Jiu tilted his head.
“Don’t be afraid,” Tian Jiu whispered, handing him a strawberry cone. “No one will bully you here. If someone tries, I’ll beat them up for you.”
Mo Li froze. The ice cream was cold, but the hand Tian Jiu patted on his shoulder felt incredibly warm.

“Tian Jiu,” Feng Wu called from outside the dining room.
“Coming, Captain!”
Feng Wu beckoned him over. He took the ice cream from Tian Jiu’s hand. Tian Jiu’s eyes went wide. He couldn’t believe his Captain was stealing his snack.
“Go take a shower,” Feng Wu said, ruffling his hair. “I’ll save the ice cream for you.”
Tian Jiu watched his cone disappear into the fridge before reluctantly heading upstairs. Feng Wu then turned to Mo Li. “We won’t ask about your past. But now that you’re here, try to let us in slowly.”
“Tian Jiu really likes you,” Feng Wu added. “And we believe in your skill. That’s one of his favorite snacks… try it.”
******
After his shower, Tian Jiu changed into a bright ginger-yellow cardigan and light jeans. He found Feng Wu sitting in the small upstairs lounge.
“Captain, why are you sitting here?”
Feng Wu looked at him. Bright colors really suited the boy; he looked full of life. “Sit down.”
Feng Wu took his wrist and pushed up the sleeve. The bruises were stark against his pale skin. Realizing Feng Wu wanted to apply medicinal oil for him, Tian Jiu smiled. “Captain, you’re such a good person.”
Feng Wu paused. “Just like that?”
“Mhm!”
Feng Wu rubbed his palms together to warm them before massaging the oil into the bruises. “Does it hurt?”
“No.” Tian Jiu stared at Feng Wu’s face. The Captain’s nose is so high, and his lashes are so thick… he’s so handsome.
“Captain, you’re really good-looking,” Tian Jiu blurted out.
“Better looking than the guys downstairs?” Feng Wu teased, remembering Tian Jiu’s reaction to the others at the trials.
“Of course. I’ve never seen anyone more handsome than you. And your physique is better. Lin is too thin, and Shi is too tall. You’re just right.” Tian Jiu paused, then added, “And I really like your pheromones too.”
Feng Wu froze. “My pheromones?”
“Mhm!”
“I haven’t leaked any pheromones recently, have I?” Feng Wu frowned.
“You did! When you were scaring Ji Xianzhang that day. I smelled them.”
Feng Wu’s brow deepened. “You smelled them?”
“Yeah…” Tian Jiu blinked, sensing the shift. “Is something wrong, Captain? Was I not supposed to?”
Tian Jiu often treated pheromones like perfume since he wasn’t affected by them. Seeing Feng Wu’s expression, he worried he’d been rude. “I’m sorry, Captain. I keep forgetting they’re private.”
“It’s not that,” Feng Wu said, stopping himself from poking the boy’s cheek because his hands were covered in oil. “I control my pheromones well. Only Ji Xianzhang should have felt them. If you smelled them, it means I’ve been getting lax.”
“Really? You aren’t offended?”
“I’m not,” Feng Wu smiled.
“I’m glad you don’t hate me,” Tian Jiu sighed.
“I could never hate you. But,” Feng Wu began, “don’t say things like that to others. Our relationship is… different, so I don’t mind. But others might be uncomfortable.”
Saying “I like your pheromones” was a statement loaded with suggestive ambiguity. Feng Wu could handle it, but he definitely didn’t want Tian Jiu saying it to anyone else.
Tian Jiu nodded obediently. “I understand, Captain! I won’t say it to anyone else.”
*******
Feng Wu finished with his arms and was about to put the oil away when Tian Jiu suddenly started unbuttoning his cardigan. “Captain, I have bruises on my shoulders and back too.”
Feng Wu’s pupils dilated. He reflexively grabbed Tian Jiu’s hand to stop him.
“?” Tian Jiu looked at him, confused.
Feng Wu’s mind was in chaos. What is wrong with this Omega?! Unbuttoning your clothes in front of an Alpha?! If it weren’t me, someone would have devoured him already!
Tian Jiu didn’t understand the “mortal danger” look on Feng Wu’s face. We’re both guys, what’s wrong with applying medicine? It’s just shoulders and back, not like it’s my thighs or something.
“P-put your clothes on properly,” Feng Wu said, looking away.
“Oh.” Tian Jiu buttoned himself back up.
Feng Wu turned back, looking like he had a headache. “Don’t unbutton your clothes in front of an Alpha. It’s not right.”
“But we’re both guys. And my gland is broken, so I’m not really a ‘normal’ Omega anyway,” Tian Jiu argued.
“You have a gland problem, not a gender problem,” Feng Wu corrected him. “You are an Omega. It’s different from Alphas and Betas. Lin and Shi both like Omegas; do you think it’s appropriate to strip in front of them?”
Tian Jiu said innocently, “But I wouldn’t strip in front of them. I only do it for you.”
Feng Wu’s heart took a massive leap. He was speechless. Something is wrong… my little teammate is definitely hitting on me.
