The Delicate Beauty Grabbed the Cannon Fodder Villain’s Script [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 40
After Zhou Jin finished his non-stop chatter, everyone fell silent. Jian Tao looked up at Zhao Jingyu and Gu Huaian. Both men appeared deep in thought as if they were weighing which part of the story was actually believable. At the same time, their faces betrayed a hint of speechlessness.
Jian Tao stole a glare at Zhou Jin. See? No one believes a word you say!
At that moment, Gu Huaian looked at Zhou Jin and asked, “What kind of non-player character was it? Can you be more specific?”
At the mention of it, the smug smile on Zhou Jin’s face returned as he reminisced. “Well, he was made of rubber. His skin had incredible elasticity; if you pressed it, it would bounce right back. Most importantly, he was incredibly beautiful. His looks were indescribably stunning.”
Gu Huaian gradually lost his patience. “Get to the point. What did he actually look like?”
Zhou Jin felt a bit dampened by the interruption. He then continued, “He was made of rubber, so the inside must have been filled with air. He was wearing a trench coat, but he had nothing on underneath.”
Zhao Jingyu looked surprised. “How do you know he had nothing on underneath?”
Zhou Jin smirked again. “Because he pulled his clothes open to show me. He kept saying he had taken a liking to me, and we stayed in bed together until dawn.”
Jian Tao’s hands clenched into fists, and his ears turned bright red. He could not help but interject, “Why would a non-player character take a liking to you? You probably misunderstood.”
Zhou Jin’s eyebrows shot up. “Why couldn’t he have looked at me? And were you there to see it? How can you be so sure it was a misunderstanding?”
“I,” Jian Tao started, his neck turning red with anger. But seeing the other man’s self righteous expression, he was forced to swallow his words. This rogue!
Seeing Jian Tao speechless, Zhou Jin raised an eyebrow. He walked over, patted Jian Tao’s shoulder, and mocked him. “I understand you are jealous. With your looks, you would never have such a romantic encounter.”
Jian Tao desperately wanted to punch him, but Gu Huaian’s serious voice pulled the atmosphere back. “So, you are saying you encountered an inflatable rubber man last night, and he stayed in your room all night?”
“Yes, but he was a super, super good-looking rubber man,” Zhou Jin insisted.
“Is that not just an inflatable,” Zhao Jingyu did not finish his sentence. Instead, he looked bewildered. “Why would such a strange thing exist? And he wore only a trench coat with nothing underneath. That is just a pervert.”
“Hey, watch your mouth,” Zhou Jin snapped back. “Even if he is a pervert, he is a super, super good-looking pervert who is only a pervert for me.”
Gu Huaian felt the conversation could no longer continue. He lowered his voice and asked, “Was he aggressive?”
“Yes,” Zhou Jin said, his expression turning serious as he thought it over. “He tried to take my knife, and he wanted to get on top of me.”
Who wanted to get on top of you! Jian Tao was furious. He then heard Gu Huaian analyze the situation. “Trying to take the knife proves there was an intent to kill. Furthermore, his outfit and his actions toward you sound exactly like the perverted serial killer the manager described: the type who rapes before killing.”
Jian Tao’s heart nearly jumped out of his chest. He watched Gu Huaian nervously, his face turning pale. “That. But I felt that non-player character was too weak for that.”
Before he could finish, Zhao Jingyu hushed him. “Do not interrupt the train of thought.”
“Tch,” Zhou Jin frowned in confusion. “How do you know he was too weak? Have you actually seen him?”
Jian Tao was so nervous he started to stutter. He regretted his haste in contradicting them; it was all because his current intelligence was too low. “I just got that feeling from your description.”
Fortunately, the others did not take him seriously. They likely felt he was ignorant and was just causing trouble without providing real clues. He was not included in the rest of the discussion.
After their small internal meeting ended, Jian Tao went down to the first floor. Even as he started his work, his heart was still pounding with the fear of almost being caught.
While waiting for the food in the kitchen, Jian Tao’s mouth began to water. The hotel’s chef was incredibly skilled, and the dishes smelled amazing. Soon, the irritable chef called out to him. “Room 803, Duck Blood Vermilion Soup.”
Jian Tao immediately stepped forward to take it, fearing he would be scolded if he were too slow. Only after he entered the elevator did he realize that Room 803 was on the eighth floor. That was the floor they had identified as being “abnormal” during the morning meeting!
The elevator went up floor by floor. When it finally dinged and the doors opened, the air hit him, feeling at least four or five degrees colder than the floor below. Jian Tao shivered.
The corridor was silent. Jian Tao’s steps were slow and hesitant. Even when he reached the door of 803, he wavered, his hand rising and falling as he hesitated to knock. Just then, the door swung open. A person poked their head out. Jian Tao’s heart leapt into his throat, but he gradually relaxed when he saw it was just a young man.
The young man looked ill. His face was very pale, and his frame was tall and slender. He was shirtless and had no visible muscle, but his bone structure was beautiful, with prominent collarbones and wide shoulders. He had a small blanket wrapped around his lower body that only covered his private areas, leaving his long legs exposed.
The more Jian Tao looked at him, the more relieved he felt. The boy seemed to have zero aggression and even looked a bit pitiful. At that moment, the boy was looking at him with clear, bright eyes. “Brother, are you here to bring me food? I am so cold.”
Jian Tao scanned him and thought that the temperature on this floor was indeed low. Since it was snowing outside, one should not be dressed like this even in a well heated room.
“Brother, please come in,” the young man said pitifully, moving aside to let him in.
Once Jian Tao entered, he felt the temperature in the room was even lower than in the corridor. He placed the food on the table. As soon as he turned around, he was pulled into a full embrace. “Brother, I am so cold. Help me.”
Jian Tao froze. He had intended to find something warm for the boy, but he had not expected the boy to use his body for warmth. Jian Tao patted his shoulder. The skin he touched was ice cold. He was startled; the temperature was far below normal, as if the boy had just come out of an ice cellar.
“Why is your body so cold?” Jian Tao muttered. He immediately pushed the boy away and went to the bedroom to get a quilt from the bed.
The room was a presidential suite and was very large, even bigger than 404. He draped the quilt over the young man and rushed to the bathroom to turn on the hot water, intending to let him take a hot bath. Otherwise, at that temperature, the boy might die. With the heavy snow sealing off the mountains, no one could get out.
As he was running the hot water, a thought occurred to him. Looking at the young man, he seemed to be an adult. Why was he so incapable of taking care of himself? He did not know to put on clothes and only knew to ask for help. It was very strange.
As he was thinking, the young man entered the bathroom. He was draped in the quilt and appeared to be holding something in his arms. When he leaned over, he dumped everything he was holding onto a small chair with a clatter.
He threw the quilt out of the bathroom. The blanket around his waist loosened and fell to the floor, but he very naturally crouched down next to Jian Tao. He pointed at Jian Tao’s stomach. “Brother, your stomach growled. I brought some snacks for you to eat.”
Jian Tao accidentally saw everything. His face turned red immediately as he pointed at the blanket on the floor. “You!”
How could this young man have no sense of shame! To his surprise, the young man turned toward him with an innocent smile. “There is nothing wrong with you looking at me, brother. It is not embarrassing.”
Jian Tao was stunned. He was so distracted that the water in the bathtub began to overflow. He now felt that there must be something wrong with the young man. Was his intelligence impaired? His behavior since Jian Tao entered the room did not seem normal.
“Just get in,” Jian Tao said, looking away. He sat on the floor and took the snacks from the chair. They were all individually wrapped small cakes and candies. He happened to be hungry and could use this as an excuse to slack off.
The young man sat in the bathtub, and the parts that should not be seen were hidden. Jian Tao no longer had to look away. “What is your name?” Jian Tao asked casually. He was bored, after all.
“My name is Xu Nuo. What about you, brother?” Xu Nuo asked.
Jian Tao pointed to his name tag. “Jian Tao.”
“Oh, Brother Jian Tao,” Xu Nuo said.
“How old are you?”
“I just turned eighteen this year.”
“Oh,” Jian Tao glanced at him again. Eighteen years old and still so innocent and silly.
“Brother, I am cold again,” Xu Nuo said, looking at Jian Tao with a pained expression.
Jian Tao popped a candy into his mouth and leaned closer. But just as he got near, Xu Nuo grabbed his wrist. Jian Tao leaned forward, his hand pressing into the bathwater. Then, Xu Nuo kissed his lips. He sucked on them as if trying to figure out the taste, then stuck his tongue in to entwine with Jian Tao’s.
Jian Tao was completely defenseless against this sudden intrusion. He felt the slippery tongue was also cold. It took him a while to react and push the boy away.
Water splashed in the bathtub. The boy seemed shocked that Jian Tao had pushed him away. His face was full of confusion and grievance. “What is wrong, brother?”
Jian Tao stood up abruptly and pointed at him angrily. “What is wrong? You are asking me what is wrong? Why did you kiss me!”
“I kissed you because I like you,” Xu Nuo said matter of factly, his face still holding a trace of innocence.
“You can kiss me just because you like me!” Jian Tao’s face was beet red. His anger shot to the top of his head, but for a moment, he could not find the right words to explain. “How can you kiss me!”
“Why can I not kiss you?” Xu Nuo muttered, frowning and looking even more aggrieved.
“You just cannot kiss me!” Jian Tao shouted. He was almost in tears, not because of the kiss, but because of his lost intelligence. He could not even explain things clearly anymore.
“But I saw that everyone can kiss,” Xu Nuo said.
“What?” Jian Tao was still immersed in the shock of being kissed. He blurted out, “Who did you see kissing?”
“Just many people,” Xu Nuo muttered.
A sudden realization struck Jian Tao. He concluded that the boy’s intelligence must be impaired. His body was freezing, yet he did not know to cover himself. He shamelessly exposed his body and spoke with a childish tone, not even knowing that only lovers kiss. His mental age was likely only a few years old. Jian Tao suddenly felt a sense of shared misfortune, and his anger subsided.
