The Delicate Beauty Grabbed the Cannon Fodder Villain’s Script [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 35
Jian Tao was terrified and began to sob, his entire body trembling as waves of fear washed over him. He feared the potential failure of his mission, but more than that, he feared Jiang Mu. Although Jiang Mu had been indulgent toward him, Jian Tao remained deeply afraid of the man’s underlying nature.
“Jian Tao,” Jiang Mu called his name again. It was the first time Jiang Mu had used his full name, which made Jian Tao even more afraid to emerge from under the covers. Suddenly, he heard a muffled groan followed by a chaotic scuffle. It sounded as though several people were being forced out of the room. Jian Tao remained hidden under the quilt for a long time. Only when the room fell into a deathly silence did he finally gather the courage to peek out.
As soon as his eyes emerged, he saw Jiang Mu sitting by the bed and staring at him intently. Jiang Mu’s already pale face looked like that of a dead man. Although his expression remained blank, the aura he exuded was horrifying. Jian Tao shrank back in fear, causing the quilt to slip and expose his shoulder. The muscles in Jiang Mu’s cheek twitched for a moment before he reached out, pinched a corner of the quilt, and gently pulled it back up.
Jiang Mu’s eyes looked as though they might burst with rage, yet his voice remained cold and level. “What did you two do?” he asked.
Jian Tao shook his head while tears streamed down his face. From the corner of his eye, he saw Lu Jingze being restrained by bodyguards. Lu Jingze’s arms were twisted behind him at a terrifying angle. Jian Tao’s face turned white with shock, but Lu Jingze seemed not to care. A manic expression crossed the boy’s face as he shouted, “Brother Tao, tell him! Tell him we have done everything!”
He tried to say more, but Jiang Mu strode toward him. In the next second, Jiang Mu’s hand clamped around Lu Jingze’s throat. The violence radiating from Jiang Mu was so intense that even the bodyguards felt a chill of dread.
“Get out,” Jiang Mu commanded the remaining guard.
The bodyguard fled immediately, leaving only the three of them in the room. Lu Jingze’s face turned a violent shade of red as Jiang Mu refused to let go, looking as if he truly intended to strangle the boy to death. Jian Tao’s legs were weak, but he managed to scramble out of bed, pull on a shirt, and run over. He pounded on Jiang Mu’s tensed arm and cried, “Let him go! He will really die!”
Jiang Mu acted as if he could not hear him, appearing to be in a state of madness. Jian Tao’s tears fell uncontrollably as Lu Jingze’s eyes began to roll back. Desperate, Jian Tao cried out, “We did not go all the way! Really! I was wrong! Jiang Mu, please forgive me and let him go! We did nothing, I swear! You are going to kill him!”
Jian Tao sobbed into Jiang Mu’s back and hugged his waist tightly. “We really did nothing. Please let go now.”
Under Jian Tao’s persistent cries, Jiang Mu finally seemed to regain his senses. He looked blankly at Jian Tao and released his grip. Lu Jingze collapsed onto the floor like a heap of wet clay. Jian Tao quickly grabbed Jiang Mu’s wrist and pleaded, “Let us go home, okay?”
Jiang Mu stared at him as if his soul were finally returning to his body. “Okay,” he whispered.
Jiang Mu carried Jian Tao downstairs. Jian Tao buried his face in Jiang Mu’s neck because he wanted to hide from the world. He was wearing only a white shirt since Jiang Mu had not given him time to dress properly. Only now did Jian Tao realize the shirt actually belonged to Lu Jingze.
Once they were in the car, Jiang Mu raised the privacy partition to shield Jian Tao from view. Jiang Mu felt himself teetering on the edge of a mental breakdown. Only by fixing his gaze on Jian Tao could he keep his inner turmoil from overflowing. Jian Tao, frightened by the intensity of that stare, curled into a ball as far away as possible.
Suddenly, Jiang Mu reached out and wordlessly tore the shirt off Jian Tao’s body. He opened the window and threw the garment into a roadside trash can. Jian Tao’s tears began to fall again. He huddled on the seat and buried his head in his knees. “Please do not be angry anymore,” he whispered.
Jiang Mu grabbed Jian Tao’s arm and pulled him closer. “Then come here and let me see you,” he commanded.
Jian Tao felt like a fish splayed on a chopping board. His body shook uncontrollably as Jiang Mu leaned in and sniffed him repeatedly to check for any lingering scent of another man. Once they reached home, Jiang Mu cleared everyone from the courtyard and carried Jian Tao straight to the second floor. He placed him directly into the bathtub.
As the warm water rose, Jiang Mu began to scrub him. Jian Tao winced as his skin turned pink from the friction. “It hurts. Please be gentle,” he said.
“He licked you here,” Jiang Mu said expressionlessly. Jian Tao could only hold Jiang Mu’s wrist and plead with him to be softer. Finally satisfied, Jiang Mu dried him and laid him on the bed. He sniffed every inch of Jian Tao’s skin before leaning in to whisper, “Am I not good enough? Why must you go looking for someone else? Since you are so unsatisfied, we shall do everything tonight so you have no strength left to find anyone else.”
“No,” Jian Tao pleaded, his eyes piteously watery. His fragile appearance only served to fuel Jiang Mu’s possessive desires. That night felt endless to Jian Tao, and by the end, he had no strength left even to grip his pillow. Jiang Mu was like a territorial animal that marked every part of him.
Jian Tao was placed under house arrest and confined to his room with no one to see but the woman who delivered his meals. This made him incredibly anxious. The plot had gone off the rails, and Jiang Mu had discovered Lu Jingze prematurely. However, to his surprise, Jiang Mu had not killed him.
As the days passed, Jian Tao felt his physical condition deteriorating. This was a sign that his time in this world was drawing to a close. With only a few days left, he decided to take a risk. When Jiang Mu returned from work, Jian Tao acted unusually affectionate. Jiang Mu was visibly moved, and his body trembled with excitement.
“I want to go outside for some fresh air, okay?” Jian Tao asked.
Jiang Mu closed his eyes and leaned into Jian Tao’s touch. “Mhm,” he hummed, his voice deep and magnetic.
Afterward, Jiang Mu led Jian Tao into the courtyard. Jian Tao was too weak to walk far, but the trip was not in vain. Passing Su Wen’s room, he noticed it was empty. Su Wen had been kicked out of the villa.
Two days before the countdown ended, Jiang Mu told him he had to go on a business trip for half a day. They spent the hours before his departure in bed together. “Stay home and rest. You can walk in the garden if you are bored. I will be back tonight. Be good, understood?” Jiang Mu coaxed him. He smiled softly and added, “Soon, we will move to City C. You will love it there. I have a surprise for you.”
Jian Tao gave a tired, perfunctory nod. He knew he would not live to see City C. Once Jiang Mu left, the house felt eerily quiet. Jian Tao lay there and felt his life slip away as he resigned himself to his fate.
Suddenly, he heard a noise outside. He opened his eyes to find the room in darkness and quickly switched on the lamp. “Who is there?” he asked, his voice trembling.
“Shh, it is me,” a familiar voice whispered.
Jiang Shi and Su Wen appeared in the room. Jian Tao’s eyes lit up because these were the two protagonists of his final task. Su Wen stepped forward to help him dress. “We are taking you out of here,” he said.
They moved quickly and escaped through the window while avoiding the unconscious bodyguards downstairs. They fled through the backyard and were guided by Jiang Shi’s knowledge of the terrain. Once they reached the getaway car, Jian Tao’s heart finally slowed down. However, the exertion was too much for his weak body, and he lost consciousness.
When he woke up, he was in a hotel room with Jiang Shi and Su Wen watching over him. “The doctor said you are fine,” Jiang Shi said, looking relieved.
Su Wen explained that they had been unable to contact him and grew suspicious when Jiang Mu kicked Su Wen out. They had tracked down the boy from the bar, Lu Jingze, and discovered that Jian Tao had been keeping him as a lover.
When they looked at him with complicated expressions, Jian Tao wanted to hide. “Is Lu Jingze okay?” he asked.
Jiang Shi snapped, his temper returning. “You still care about him? Do you actually love him?”
“No,” Jian Tao mumbled. “But he was hurt because of me.”
Su Wen let out a cold snort. “He is fine. He was just recognized by the Lu family and taken back. He does not need your money anymore.”
Jian Tao felt a sense of relief because the plot was still somewhat on track. “We planned to send you away immediately, but you were unconscious,” Jiang Shi said. “We will stay here for the day and send you off tonight.”
At that moment, System 250’s voice echoed. “Tao Tao, you will leave this world at midnight. There are ten hours left.”
Jian Tao asked for a phone, and Su Wen gave him a new one. “Do not call anyone. Just use it for games or movies,” Su Wen instructed.
While they were alone, Jian Tao used the phone to order a specific medication through his secret channel. He did not want the protagonists to simply fall asleep. He wanted them to lose their inhibitions so they could find their way to each other and unite against him, the villain.
When night fell, the medication arrived. Jian Tao suggested a final drink with the two men. They agreed, planning to take him to the airport shortly after. However, the plan went horribly wrong. When the medication took effect, instead of turning toward each other, their suppressed desires turned toward Jian Tao.
“Let me go!” Jian Tao screamed as they began to touch him. Terrified and sobbing, he managed to break free and lock himself in the bathroom. He huddled in the corner and cried as the system announced the task was complete. It was a terrifying irony.
The men outside were pounding on the door, their voices hoarse with desperation. “Jian Tao, come out! I need you!” they yelled.
The door groaned under the weight of their assault. Just as Jian Tao thought they would break in, the noise stopped abruptly. A tall silhouette appeared against the frosted glass of the door. The door was opened with a key, and Jiang Mu stepped inside. He picked up the traumatized Jian Tao.
“Tao Tao, we are going home,” Jiang Mu said firmly.
Jian Tao fainted again. When he finally woke, he was back in the villa and soaking in a warm bathtub. Jiang Mu was washing him gently. The countdown was in its final minutes.
“Tao Tao, you were naughty again,” Jiang Mu murmured, though his tone was more affectionate than resentful. “Good news. The sky garden is finished. We can move to City C soon. The air is fresh there. It will be perfect for you since you get sick so easily.”
Jiang Mu continued to talk about their future, his voice warmer than Jian Tao had ever heard it. The system countdown reached its end.
Ten. Five. One.
The last thing Jian Tao saw before the darkness took him was the slight, happy curve of Jiang Mu’s lips.
