The Crematorium of the Top Omega Chasing After Alpha - Chapter 29.2
Time passed minute by minute, and the atmosphere in the office grew quiet and heavy.
Finally, Ming Yu finished the last document, looked up, and let out a long, weary sigh.
Rubbing her aching temples, she stood and walked to the window, gazing out at the scenery with tired eyes.
Song Xihan set down her files and approached her, asking softly, “All done?”
Ming Yu nodded, her voice slightly hoarse. “Yeah, just about.”
“Then let’s go. I’ll take you somewhere interesting.”
By the time the two of them descended the stairs, the sky had already darkened. Streetlights outside the military headquarters building flickered on one by one, casting mottled reflections on the windows of the hovercar.
Song Xihan, brimming with excitement, pulled Ming Yu into the car, a mysterious smile playing on her lips.
“Where exactly are you taking me?” Ming Yu sat in the passenger seat, her brow slightly furrowed, a trace of impatience in her tone.
She was already exhausted enough for one day and really didn’t want to follow Song Xihan’s whims any further.
But Song Xihan only smiled mysteriously, her tone light and cheerful. “Don’t rush, you’ll know when we get there.”
Ming Yu shot her a glance, a faint unease stirring in her heart.
Song Xihan had always been someone who played by her own rules, who knew what she was scheming this time? Yet, thinking of Song Qingpei’s cold gaze, a sliver of anticipation rose in Ming Yu’s heart.
Perhaps Song Xihan really could help her?
The hovercar sped through the night sky, crossing the bustling city center before finally coming to a stop on a somewhat secluded street.
Through the car window, Ming Yu spotted a tastefully decorated shop not far ahead. Its sign glowed with a soft pink light, faintly revealing the words: “Exclusive Pleasure Products for Omegas.”
Ming Yu’s expression instantly darkened. “Song Xihan, why did you bring me to a place like this?”
But Song Xihan simply laughed it off, patting Ming Yu’s shoulder. “Don’t be so tense! This is my cousin’s shop. It’s full of the latest trendy items. Let’s go in and take a look, I guarantee it’ll drive any Alpha wild.”
Ming Yu’s face grew even more troubled as she refused, “I’m not interested.”
Song Xihan swiftly grabbed her wrist, a note of urgency in her voice. “Hey, don’t leave now! Since we’re already here, taking a look won’t hurt. Besides, aren’t you trying to win over Song Qingpei? This is a great opportunity.”
After a moment of internal struggle, Ming Yu reluctantly allowed herself to be half-pushed, half-dragged into the shop.
As the door swung open, a faint, pleasant fragrance wafted over, filling the air with an ambiguous atmosphere.
“Welcome!”
A clear voice called out from behind the counter, and a petite, sweet-faced Omega girl quickly approached.
Her face lit up with a warm smile, and as her gaze swept over Ming Yu, a flicker of admiration flashed in her eyes.
“Cousin, who is this?” the girl asked with a curious lilt in her voice.
Song Xihan patted Ming Yu’s shoulder and introduced her with a grin. “This is my friend, Ming Yu. She’s been having some relationship troubles lately, so I brought her here for some advice.”
The girl immediately adopted a knowing expression and enthusiastically took Ming Yu’s hand. “So it’s Miss Ming! Please, come in! I’m Song Xihan’s cousin, Song Xiaorou. You can just call me Xiaorou.”
Ming Yu was somewhat flustered by her enthusiasm and managed a strained smile. “Hello.”
“Miss Ming, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
After greeting Ming Yu, Song Xiaorou turned her attention to Song Xihan.
Song Xihan immediately said tactfully, “Xiaorou, take good care of my friend. I’ll wait in the car.”
“Miss Ming, don’t worry. Here, we offer one-on-one service for Omega customers, and your privacy is absolutely guaranteed.”
Song Xiaorou spoke as she led Ming Yu to a rest area in the shop, gesturing for her to sit down. She then turned to pour a cup of hot tea and handed it to Ming Yu. “Miss Ming, have some tea first and relax. Feel free to tell me what you need, I’m sure the items here can help solve your problem.”
Ming Yu took the teacup, her fingers trembling slightly. She felt so embarrassed that she almost wanted to flee immediately.
She took a sip of the tea, trying to calm her emotions, but her gaze involuntarily drifted over the surrounding shelves.
The shop was softly lit, and the shelves were filled with a wide array of adult products from revealing lingerie to all sorts of peculiar little gadgets. The overwhelming variety only deepened Ming Yu’s embarrassment.
Song Xiaorou seemed to sense her unease and sat down opposite her with a gentle smile. “Miss Ming, there’s no need to be nervous. Everything here is meant to help Omegas and their partners deepen their bond. You don’t have to feel embarrassed.”
Ming Yu unconsciously traced the rim of her teacup, her voice barely audible. “I… I don’t know how to say it.”
Song Xiaorou smiled encouragingly. “It’s alright, take your time. I’ve met many Omegas like you. They were shy at first too, but eventually, they all found methods that suited them.”
After a moment of silence, Ming Yu finally spoke. “My partner is an inferior Alpha with rather cold pheromones. I… I said some hurtful things that wounded her. Now she has become distant toward me.”
Song Xiaorou’s eyes flickered with understanding as she nodded gently. “I see. Inferior Alphas tend to struggle with insecurity, fearing they can’t satisfy their partners. So you should focus on encouragement rather than criticism. Be proactive, bold, and passionate that will help your partner feel more enthusiastic too.”
Ming Yu’s cheeks flushed slightly as she tightly gripped her teacup, her voice tinged with hesitation. “How should I do that?”
Song Xiaorou stood up with a smile and walked over to the shelves. She picked up a black lace lingerie set and handed it to Ming Yu. “You could start with small things like this. For example, this lingerie is both sexy and not too revealing perfect for someone trying it for the first time.”
Ming Yu stared at the nearly transparent garment, her face instantly turning crimson, fingers trembling slightly. “This is too…”
But Song Xiaorou just smiled unconcernedly. “What’s the big deal? In relationships, happiness is what matters most.”
After an internal struggle, Ming Yu ultimately shook her head. “I can’t.”
Seeing this, Song Xiaorou didn’t press further. She turned back to the shelves and selected a few more conservative items, handing them to Ming Yu. “How about these then? These are beginner-friendly and not too extreme.”
Ming Yu accepted the items, her fingers trembling slightly, feeling so embarrassed she almost wanted to flee immediately.
She stood up hurriedly. “I’ll take these. I should go.”
Noting her discomfort, Song Xiaorou didn’t insist further and smiled. “Alright, Miss Ming, I’ll package these for you now. If you need anything else, feel free to come back anytime.”
Ming Yu muttered a quick thanks and practically fled the shop.
As an Alpha, Song Xihan knew to keep her composure and chuckled softly. “Let’s go, I’ll take you home.”
The hovercar started up again. Leaning back in her seat, Ming Yu was overwhelmed by a mix of emotions.
She thought she must be going mad!
By the time she returned home, Song Qingpei and Song Song were already asleep.
Ming Yu entered the bedroom, clutching the shopping bag tightly, her heart pounding like a drum.
She never imagined she would one day buy such things, let alone actually wear them.
Her cheeks burned as if on fire, her fingers trembling slightly as she opened the shopping bag. The contents inside made her want to vanish on the spot.
Especially that piece of lingerie, thin as cicada wings, barely held together by a few slender strings, with pitifully little fabric.
Ming Yu’s fingers had barely touched the soft fabric when she jerked her hand back as if scalded, tossing the lingerie aside. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart.
“What am I even doing…”
She murmured under her breath, her voice tinged with frustration and shame.
Yet, memories from her amnesiac period involuntarily surfaced in her mind.
Song Qingpei had once bought her similar lingerie. Back then, she had scolded him angrily out of embarrassment, and he had immediately softened his tone to comfort her. Since then, he had never made such a request again.
Ming Yu’s heart suddenly trembled, her fingers unconsciously brushing against the lingerie she had thrown aside.
Could it be that Song Qingpei actually liked this?
The thought flashed through her mind, and she couldn’t help biting her lip. After a moment of internal struggle, she finally reached out and picked up the lingerie.
Her fingers trembled slightly, and as her fingertips touched the soft fabric, it felt as if an electric current surged through her entire body. She took another deep breath, then slowly removed her clothes and put on the nearly transparent lingerie.
Once she had it on, Ming Yu didn’t even dare to look in the mirror.
Her cheeks burned, and her fingers tightly gripped the edges of her robe, as if trying to conceal her shame and nervousness. She hastily slipped on a long nightgown, attempting to cover the lingerie that made her feel utterly exposed.
Even with the robe on, her body continued to tremble slightly.
Stimulated by the earlier events, her pheromones had grown increasingly potent, filling the air with a cloyingly sweet fragrance, as if silently tempting something or someone.
Ming Yu bit her lip, trying to steady her breathing, then mustered her courage and walked toward Song Qingpei’s room.
She paused outside the door, her trembling fingers lifting to knock lightly.
“Song Qingpei…”
Her voice was so soft it was almost inaudible, carrying a hint of hesitation and unease.
There was no response from inside the room and Ming Yu’s heart sank.
She bit her lip again and knocked once more, raising her voice slightly. “Song Qingpei, are you asleep?”
Still, no answer.
Ming Yu’s heartbeat quickened. Her fingers clenched the edges of her robe as a complex mix of emotions surged within her disappointment, but also a sense of relief.
At least she wouldn’t have to face such humiliation.
She turned to leave, but unexpectedly, the door swung open abruptly.
Song Qingpei’s gaze fell on Ming Yu and knowing it was her heat cycle again, he said directly, “Let’s go to your room.”
Ming Yu’s heart leaped, her fingers tightening around the robe’s edge, her cheeks burning as if on fire.
She stood frozen at the doorway, unable to take another step forward.
“No. I… I have something to say to you.” Her voice was barely a whisper, trembling slightly.
Song Qingpei frowned slightly. “What is it?”
Ming Yu’s heart raced even faster. Gathering her courage, she walked up to Song Qingpei, stopped in front of him, and with trembling fingers, gently took his hand.
Song Qingpei’s body stiffened slightly, a flicker of surprise in his eyes.
Ming Yu’s heart pounded like thunder. Clutching his hand tightly, she lowered her head and whispered, “Song Qingpei, I know I said many hurtful things before and hurt you. I’m sorry.”
Unexpected by her apology, a complex emotion flickered in Song Qingpei’s eyes.
She studied Ming Yu, her tone tinged with uncertainty. “You don’t need to play these tricks. I will comfort you during your fever cycle as agreed this is our transaction, and I will honor it.”
Ming Yu’s heart sank. She hadn’t expected Song Qingpei to view her this way.
Yet, unwilling to give up, she hesitated for a moment before stepping forward abruptly and wrapping her arms around Song Qingpei’s waist.
Pressing her cheek against Song Qingpei’s neck, Ming Yu’s voice trembled with emotion as she finally blurted out the words in her heart, “Song Qingpei, I can we go back to how we used to be?”
Song Qingpei froze, then lowered her gaze. “Ming Yu, the Mengmeng of the past is dead.”
This was the first time Song Qingpei had mentioned Ming Yu’s name before her amnesia, “Mengmeng.”
Ming Yu’s heart felt as if it were being torn apart. Tears she had held back for so long finally escaped, tracing down her cheeks and dripping onto Song Qingpei’s shoulder. Her voice was choked and pleading.
“But, I don’t want to lose you. Song Qingpei, I don’t want to lose you.”
Since Ming Yu had regained her memories, Song Qingpei had never seen her cry. The sight of Ming Yu so vulnerable and desperate stirred a flicker of conflict in her eyes, but it was quickly replaced by reason.
She tried to end the conversation. “Ming Yu, let’s stop here. Let’s preserve some dignity for each other.”
“No!”
Ming Yu refused to accept it refused to be pushed away like this, refused to let their relationship be reduced to a cold transaction. She had to keep Song Qingpei, no matter what it took.
Her fingers trembling, Ming Yu unbuttoned the first button.
Her movements were slow, as if every slight motion was a struggle against her own shame and inner turmoil.
Her cheeks were already flushed bright red, her ears tinged with a faint pink, and even her neck showed a delicate blush. Her eyes remained downcast, afraid to meet Song Qingpei’s gaze, as if one look would shatter her courage.
Her fingers continued downward, unbuttoning the second and third buttons.
As her fingertips brushed against her skin, she could feel a faint shiver run through her.
With each button undone, her heartbeat quickened, as if an invisible hand were gripping her heart, making it hard to breathe.
Her collar gradually fell open, revealing her undergarments and the pale, fragile skin beneath in the dim light.
Song Qingpei was stunned by her audacity, thinking Ming Yu had lost her mind.
The usually composed and stoic general was now behaving so recklessly in front of her. Her gaze was complex as she looked at Ming Yu. “Have you gone mad? Do you realize what you’re doing?”
Ming Yu’s body trembled slightly, her fingers pausing on the last button.
Her voice was barely a whisper, choked with emotion and humility. “I know, what I’m doing. Qingpei, whatever you wanted Mengmeng to do, I can do it now. Please, can we go back to how we were?”
Song Qingpei’s mind was in chaos. She had never imagined Ming Yu would go to such lengths to win her back. But for her, who had already given up, it was nothing but a burden.
“Ming Yu, what we had ended long ago. You don’t need to go this far for me.”
Song Qingpei grabbed Ming Yu’s shoulders, trying to push her away.
“No, I don’t.”
But Ming Yu clung to her like a vine, refusing to let go no matter how hard she struggled.
Her skin was scorching hot, the feverish warmth seeping through their thin clothing. Song Qingpei felt her rationality crumbling bit by bit, her pheromones spreading uncontrollably through the air, carrying an unrestrained restlessness.
She had never imagined she would react to Ming Yu’s pheromones under such circumstances.
Ming Yu noticed the change in Song Qingpei, a flicker of delight flashing in her eyes before she grew bolder. Her fingers gently traced Song Qingpei’s cheek, trembling slightly yet resolutely moving downward, coming to rest on the side of her neck.
Her hot breath brushed against Song Qingpei’s ear, carrying a disconcerting warmth.
Ming Yu’s voice was low and soft, almost hypnotic: “Qingpei! Can you feel it? You want me too, don’t you?”
Song Qingpei’s fingers tightened around Ming Yu’s shoulders. She knew she should push her away, should stay clear-headed, but her body betrayed her will.
Her pheromones grew stronger, intertwining with Ming Yu’s scent.
Stimulated by the pheromones, Ming Yu’s desire intensified. Her lips pressed against the side of Song Qingpei’s neck, her fingertips carrying an electric current that sent a shudder through Song Qingpei’s heart. Her fingers clenched abruptly, nails nearly digging into Ming Yu’s skin.
But Ming Yu seemed unfazed by the pain, instead holding Song Qingpei even tighter.
She wished she could drown in her embrace, be kissed, satisfied, filled.
Song Qingpei’s rationality gradually crumbled under Ming Yu’s relentless advance, her inner defenses collapsing bit by bit.
Ming Yu’s lips slowly moved upward, landing on Song Qingpei’s earlobe, where she gave a gentle bite.
Song Qingpei shuddered violently, her voice barely escaping through gritted teeth: “Ming Yu, You. That’s enough.”
“No! It’s not enough.”
Ming Yu didn’t stop. Her fingers lightly traced Song Qingpei’s waist, carrying a disarming tenderness.
Her voice was low and soft, tinged with a plea: “Qingpei, Let me get closer to you, okay? I want you, I want to be completely yours.”
At that moment, Song Qingpei’s rationality finally shattered completely.
