The Cold and Distant Actress is Too Obsessive - Chapter 58
A low voice echoed in her ear. Bo Zhoucheng tightly gripped the railing, taking several deep breaths.
“Yanyan, don’t be like this.”
“You have filming tomorrow.”
Xu Youyan’s charming voice came through the phone. She didn’t care; she was already tipsy and giggled softly before speaking.
“Unless you come to see me.”
“I miss you.”
How could Bo Zhoucheng not tell that Xu Youyan was drunk and acting out? But she hesitated.
“If you don’t come, you don’t love me.”
Xu Youyan’s somewhat dejected voice came through the phone. Bo Zhoucheng’s breath hitched, and she immediately shook her head.
“That’s not it.”
The call ended, and Bo Zhoucheng was no longer sleepy at all. The cool breeze brushed against her cheeks, clearing her mind completely.
At that moment, she only wanted to see one person.
“Book me a flight.”
Bo Zhoucheng sent the message to her assistant and then lay back down to catch some more sleep.
When Su Cha woke up in the morning and saw the message, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes. Seriously? She had already tried to intervene yesterday, but these two still managed to reconnect.
Bo Zhoucheng’s lack of focus on work really wasn’t a good look.
However, Su Cha didn’t dare say anything and obediently booked the earliest flight.
Bo Zhoucheng was always reliable when it came to acting and had good relationships with others, so the director happily approved her leave. Although it was only for a day or two, it was enough.
What Xu Youyan didn’t know was that while she was still sound asleep, someone had already boarded a plane to come find her.
When she woke up, her head felt heavy and dizzy. Xu Youyan picked up her phone, intending only to check the time, but saw countless call records.
All of them were to the same person.
Bo Zhoucheng.
Xu Youyan’s heart sank. She had no idea what she had said last night. Could it have been something insulting?
That would be terrible.
But memories from a drunken state were hard to recover. Xu Youyan quickly called back, but the other party’s phone was unreachable.
What could she be doing?
Panic set in. Xu Youyan hurriedly sent a text, explaining that she had been drunk last night and hadn’t meant to call so many times.
But Bo Zhoucheng still didn’t reply.
Oh no, oh no.
Was she angry? What exactly had she said that was so terrible?
Xu Youyan’s heart was in turmoil. Just as her thoughts were racing like pounding drums, the doorbell suddenly rang. Xu Youyan assumed it was Cheng Zhun.
She called out for them to come in, and the door opened. The first to enter was indeed Cheng Zhun, but two others followed behind him.
One of them was wearing a mask and sunglasses.
After entering the room, that person removed the sunglasses and mask, revealing an exquisitely beautiful face. Before Bo Zhoucheng could say anything,
Xu Youyan patted her cheeks in disbelief.
“How did you get here?”
Bo Zhoucheng realized she must have forgotten everything after sobering up. She smiled helplessly and took a step forward.
Cheng Zhun was sharp enough to know that he and Su Cha shouldn’t stick around in such a situation. So, he pulled her out of the hotel room,
closing the door behind them.
“I wanted to see you.”
Bo Zhoucheng tilted her head, leaning in close, and wrapped her arms around Xu Youyan’s waist.
“Bo Zhoucheng, this is so irrational. You still have a drama to film.”
Xu Youyan frowned and spoke seriously.
Leaving the film set temporarily was not at all in line with an actor’s code of conduct. If the matter was serious, one could very well be blacklisted by the director.
Although Bo Zhoucheng had no such worries, doing this was still wrong.
“I know.”
Bo Zhoucheng moved closer, pressing her forehead against Xu Youyan’s, leaving her almost no time to react. Xu Youyan had drunk the night before, and her limbs were still somewhat stiff. Before she could react, she was pulled into an embrace.
Bo Zhoucheng held her tightly, causing them both to tumble onto the soft white bed.
“But who told you to call me last night, crying and shouting.”
Bo Zhoucheng pursed her lips, pausing for a moment before continuing.
“How could I possibly resist?”
So, she had no choice but to get up and come find Xu Youyan.
Now that she saw her, the restless heart finally calmed down.
“Yanyan, is it because we haven’t been in touch for many days that you miss me so much?”
Warm breath brushed against her ear, bringing a tingling sensation.
Xu Youyan widened her eyes, unable to believe that Bo Zhoucheng, who was seen by others as cold as an iceberg could say such flirtatious words.
It was almost mortifying.
“You’re not allowed to say that.”
Xu Youyan’s face flushed, and she wanted to cover Bo Zhoucheng’s mouth, as if blocking her words could also block her own little thoughts.
Bo Zhoucheng didn’t get angry when her mouth was covered; she just smiled.
“I recorded yesterday’s call. Do you want to listen? You were very charming.”
Even when saying such things, Bo Zhoucheng’s voice carried a hint of seriousness, almost like a prank.
But Xu Youyan knew this person didn’t play pranks.
She must have said something outrageous during the call, otherwise Bo Zhoucheng wouldn’t have flown over to see her.
“I was drunk, I don’t know what happened.”
Xu Youyan’s voice grew softer, like a wilted flower.
Seeing that she was on the verge of tears, Bo Zhoucheng quickly raised her hands to cup Xu Youyan’s cheeks, gently rubbing them as if petting a cat.
“Don’t cry, don’t cry.”
“The recording is with me, no one else can hear it.”
Goodness, she really did record it.
Xu Youyan felt like dying.
She still had scenes to shoot today, but because Bo Zhoucheng had come, Xu Youyan had asked the director for leave.
She postponed her shooting schedule. The Bo family had invested in this drama, and the director had sharp ears someone had tipped him off early.
He knew Bo Zhoucheng had arrived and agreed to adjust the shooting schedule.
However, this wasn’t out of respect for Xu Youyan, but for Bo Zhoucheng.
Shooting schedules weren’t easily changed. No matter how big a star you were, once you joined the crew, you had to follow the director’s arrangements.
So, having a backer or a patron was undeniably important.
Back at the hotel, Xu Youyan lowered her head in shame.
“I shouldn’t have called you drunk. It wasted your time and mine.”
She actually regretted it a little.
But before she could continue, her cheeks were cupped by a pair of cool, slender hands.
“I wanted to see you.”
“This isn’t your fault; it has nothing to do with you.”
Bo Zhoucheng looked down at the person sitting on the sofa, feeling as though her heart was breaking.
Without hesitation, she leaned down and kissed her, plundering like a storm.
Xu Youyan couldn’t react at all, almost suffocating and dizzy from the intensity.
“It’s been so many days without seeing you, I’ve missed you too.”
Especially upon hearing Xu Youyan’s soft, delicate voice, Bo Zhoucheng’s mind went completely blank. She knew it was irrational.
But,
To hell with acting, to hell with all the troubles!
She didn’t want to think about anything else she just wanted to see Yanyan.
