The Cat I Picked Up Turns into an Alpha and Always Wants to Mark Me - Chapter 3
The pheromones brought Tang Le a few minutes of relief, but her discomfort soon intensified.
Clinging to Fu Dong’s leg, she whimpered softly like a kitten.
Fu Dong gently stroked her hair, just as Tang Le often did when petting her.
Her slender fingers threaded through the dark strands, their tips tinged with a delicate pink.
Tang Le’s hair was long, smooth, and carried the scent of flowers and fruit. Under the Alpha’s gentle touch, she regained a sliver of awareness, her eyes half-opening.
The room was too dark, lit only by the cold moonlight filtering through the window.
Tang Le gazed into eyes as cold and clear as moonlight.
“…Am I dreaming?” she murmured to herself, reaching out to touch her eyes. Her fingertips brushed against soft lips instead. “Who are you?”
Fu Dong caught Tang Le’s finger at her lips and kissed it lightly, chuckling softly. “You gave me that name. Have you forgotten it so soon?”
The Alpha’s pheromones grew stronger in the air, a dark rose scent mingling with the icy chill.
Surrounded by the Alpha’s pheromones, Tang Le felt her body grow weak and her skin burn hotter.
Suddenly, a realization struck her. Her eyes lit up with hope as she looked up and asked in a soft voice, “You… you’re Xiao Dong? I must be dreaming.”
“Correct,” Fu Dong said, rubbing her delicate cheek before slowly sliding her hand down to the gland at the back of Tang Le’s neck.
They were so close that their breaths mingled, the icy rose pheromones swirling around Tang Le’s nose.
An Omega in Heat was already incredibly sensitive, and this person was standing far too close.
Tang Le pushed herself up to a sitting position, studying Fu Dong closely before breaking into a satisfied smile. “You’re so pretty,” she said sweetly. “Xiao Dong turned into such a beauty. This dream is so strange.”
“Weren’t you feeling unwell? I became human so I could repay your kindness more easily,” Fu Dong teased, half-joking.
Tang Le stared at her for a moment before finally giving in, closing her eyes and leaning against Fu Dong.
As she leaned in, a stray thought crossed her mind: When Xiao Dong was a cat, her body temperature was higher than mine. Now that she’s human, she’s surprisingly cool. It feels so good to lean against her.
Tang Le’s nose pressed against Fu Dong’s neck, exposing the scent glands at the nape of her neck. The white peach fragrance in the room grew even more intense.
Where the Omega couldn’t see, the Alpha’s mischievous nature began to stir.
Fu Dong’s eyes darkened, and she deliberately released a wave of Alpha pheromones.
“You’re in heat, A-Tang. Do you want my pheromones? If you do, I can give you a Temporary Mark.”
Temporary Mark?
Tang Le’s mind swam in confusion. It took her a moment to grasp Fu Dong’s meaning.
Omega heat cycles could be alleviated by a Temporary Mark from an Alpha, as she’d learned in biology class at school.
But could a cat even mark an Omega?
As the thought formed, she blurted out the question.
Tang Le had never been marked before.
Generally, Omegas avoided letting Alphas temporarily mark them. Alphas, driven by their strong desire to dominate, often struggled to control themselves. During a temporary mark, they might succumb to their instincts and forcibly make it a permanent mark.
The higher an Omega’s rank, the stronger the temptation for an Alpha. If a B-Rank Alpha were to temporarily mark an A-Rank Omega, he would be utterly unable to resist the intense pleasure of the mark and the allure of claiming her permanently.
An Omega could only be permanently marked once. Under the influence of pheromones, she would form a deep bond with the Alpha who marked her.
Despite the room being thick with their mingled pheromones, Fu Dong appeared calm and composed.
She tilted her head, her lips occasionally brushing against Tang Le’s cheek. Each touch sent Tang Le’s heart soaring, only to crash down like a drumbeat.
“This is a dream, A-Tang. Anything can happen in a dream.”
Overwhelmed by the pheromones, Tang Le’s inner balance slowly tipped.
It’s just a dream, she thought. A beautiful dream.
“Hmm?” Fu Dong noticed Tang Le’s silence and gently pressed her lips against her cheek.
The Snowy Rose Scent at the tip of her nose intensified.
Tang Le buried her face in Fu Dong’s neck, murmuring a soft “hmm.”
Hearing the barely audible response from the woman in her arms, Fu Dong chuckled softly and gently brushed aside the hair at the nape of Tang Le’s neck with her slender fingers.
Beneath the overwhelming icy snow, pheromone lay the rich fragrance of roses. Snow, roses, and white peach are intertwined, a bittersweet symphony, a vibrant tapestry in the endless night.
This Omega’s pheromone was even sweeter than she had imagined.
Fu Dong, no longer in control, closed her eyes to steady her mind. She finally released Tang Le just before losing herself completely.
Tang Le was utterly lost in the moment. The instant their pheromones merged, it was like winter snow melting into summer blooms, a dazzling transformation.
She leaned softly against Fu Dong’s shoulder, her mind still ablaze with the afterglow of fireworks.
“Will the dream end when dawn breaks?” Tang Le asked, tilting her head up, her beautiful peach blossom eyes shimmering with tears.
Fu Dong gently wiped away the trace of blood seeping from Tang Le’s neck with her index finger, her touch carrying an almost imperceptible tenderness. “Yes.”
The heat had drained Tang Le’s energy. She nestled against Fu Dong, her eyes heavy with exhaustion, yet she still clutched a strand of Fu Dong’s hair in her hand, playing with it.
The dark hair felt soft and smooth between her fingers, like the finest silk.
“Will I dream of you again?”
“You’re tired. Go to sleep,” Fu Dong whispered in her ear, avoiding her question.
Her Transformation Period was still unstable, and she couldn’t fully control it yet.
She could already feel the blood surging violently within her, a sign that she was losing control.
