Lu Qing was an F-class “trash” male insect who had been despised by his family since childhood. On the night his female father passed away, he discovered a dying little female cub huddled in a corner. After desperate pleading with his male father, he was finally allowed to bring the cub home.
The little female cub was silent and always guarded Lu Qing’s side without a word.
Following an accident, a piece of jade left behind by Lu Qing’s deceased female father was knocked away and fell outside. Trapped in the house by his male father, the young Lu Qing stared at the cage he called “home” with a vacant, powerless gaze.
At that moment, the little female cub, covered in mud, flipped over the wall. With a wooden expression, he tightly clutched that small piece of jade and handed it over cautiously: “For you.”
In that dark, claustrophobic little room, the first ray of light squeezed in.
Lu Qing poured all his emotions into Elliot. He cooked for him, mended his clothes, researched mecha for him, and studied medicine, all just to keep him from getting hurt.
He never expected that on the day he planned to propose, he would receive news of Elliot’s marriage to his stepbrother. Heartbroken, Lu Qing gave up and left alone.
One day, a new male streamer appeared in a live-broadcast room and gained attention for his outstanding appearance. Emotionally scarred female insects used him as an outlet for their frustration, mocking him: “This is hilarious. A male insect has actually come out to sell smiles for a living.”
However, whether it was cooking, gardening, perfumery, healing, or even mecha design, the “disabled” male insect they dismissed as a “pretty vase” seemed to know how to do almost everything. Even the pheromone disorders that plagued the female insects were resolved after eating Lu Qing’s specialty medicinal cuisine.
The haters turned into fans: “Holy crap! Wife, wife, look at me!”
The Empire went wild, and the masses hailed him as the Perfect Male Insect. The father who once viewed him as a disgrace came crawling back, begging him to return. Giants from various industries sought his guidance and help.
Lu Qing responded: “Thank you for the invite, but I have closed my borders. I do not care for worldly affairs.”
Elliot rushed back from the alien beast battlefield, travel-worn and carrying a chest of spoils to propose. Instead, he saw a peaceful courtyard where the young man sat with a faint smile, chatting intimately with Elliot’s own rival.
His cold, wooden mask shattered. The female insect stared fixedly at the scene until he could no longer hide the bloodshot madness in his eyes. He pinned the returning male insect onto the sofa.
“Master.”
Elliot leaned down, pressing his body tightly against Lu Qing’s.
Their hot breaths mingled. In his slit-pupil beastly eyes, pain and possessiveness flickered in a twisted, frenzied cycle: “Please forgive me. I beg you, look only at me.”
