Lian Yuan and Meng Fang had a thing once.
That night, Lian Yuan had originally intended to pay for it himself—after all, the other man was a big, noble, respectable, and super handsome guy.
But Meng Fang said: “One million.”
Lian Yuan, who could only afford a hundred-yuan late-night snack and would feel physical pain spending a cent more, promptly yielded.
Later, he realized there had been a misunderstanding, but by then, he was already on the bandit’s bed.
Since the relationship started in an unseemly way, none of the people around Meng Fang liked him. They looked at him like a hyena that had accidentally wandered into a pride of lions.
Lian Yuan was open-minded and happy to just take things as they come. He didn’t care, because after all, he wasn’t the one putting in the money or the effort.
The eventual breakup, however, was quite dignified.
Lian Yuan exited cleanly and decisively, thinking he would never again cross paths with this group of glamorous, high-society people.
A few days later, Lian Yuan was cornered.
Meng Fang’s childhood friend occupied the backseat of his small electric scooter: “Follow me. Whatever Meng Fang gave you, I’ll double it—and I’ll get you a new car.”
Meng Fang’s friend waited at the door of his old, dilapidated apartment: “I won’t treat you like that. Want to give it a try?”
Later, Lian Yuan heard that Meng Fang had gotten into a fight with them, looking like a Lion King whose home had been stolen.
