Chapter 23: Do You Want to Try It Here?
Lu Siyang froze, hurriedly letting go of the wall he was leaning on and instinctively straightening his back. No jokes allowed—his CEO persona must never collapse in front of outsiders. He adjusted his expression and turned around to see a staff member from the auction walking toward him.
“What is it?”
“President Lu,” the staff member approached him, holding an exquisite square brocade box with both hands, “this is the collection item you just bid on. We couldn’t find you anywhere and were just about to call you.”
“Much thanks.”
Lu Siyang stood perfectly straight, though his legs beneath his trousers were trembling incessantly. He raised his arm to take the box, but Fang Lv, standing beside him, took it instead: “I’ll do it.”
Cold sweat on his back had soaked his shirt. Lu Siyang felt that if he stood there for another second, his legs would give out and he’d collapse in a heap on the floor. To avoid being seen in such a pathetic state in public…
“Go swipe my card for me; I’ll wait for you in the car.” He pulled a black card from his pocket, handed it to Fang Lv, and turned toward the elevators. “I’ll send you the PIN in a moment.”
Fang Lv’s eyes flickered. He paused for a beat before taking the card: “Alright.”
Lu Siyang took the elevator directly to the B2 parking lot. He didn’t want the driver to see his sorry state, so he had called ahead to dismiss him. The moment he sat in the car, he let out a long breath, his body going completely limp. He lowered the passenger seat and lay half-flat.
After a good while, Fang Lv finally returned. Lu Siyang checked his phone; he hadn’t received a transaction notification for the bank card. He asked in confusion, “What’s wrong? Was there a problem?”
“No,” Fang Lv handed the card back to Lu Siyang, “I’ll drive you.”
Lu Siyang was stunned. Fang Lv used his own card? He had originally planned to give it to Liu Jingguang, but now it had turned into buying it for himself. Moreover… he had no interest in antiques and didn’t know how to appreciate them… Lu Siyang stared at Fang Lv speechlessly for a long time before choking out a sentence: “Why give me something for no reason?”
“Since you gave me a gift,” Fang Lv raised his hand and shook the Bodhi bracelet on his wrist, “it’s only right to reciprocate.”
Lu Siyang glanced at the brocade box on the back seat and sighed in his heart… Fine, he’d just find something else for Liu Jingguang’s birthday gift. Anyway, the item wasn’t large; he could put it anywhere. Worst case, he’d just use it as a vase…
Fang Lv’s driving was very steady, which didn’t match his flamboyant and wild personality at all. It was late at night, but there were still many cars on the road. The coming and going, the sounds of people and honking accompanied by flickering lights—this white noise was the perfect lullaby for an exhausted person. Lu Siyang lay half-flat in the passenger seat and drifted off to sleep in a daze.
Fang Lv parked the car in the courtyard. After getting out, he circled to the passenger side and picked up the deeply sleeping Lu Siyang in his arms. In a half-dreaming state, he was held in Fang Lv’s embrace; as soon as they left the car, the cold wind blowing on his face woke him up instantly.
“Put me down quickly!” Lu Siyang squirmed, looking around in all directions. “The neighbors will see!”
Fang Lv ignored his struggling, the strength in his hands not relaxing at all: “What are you afraid of? At this hour, the neighbors have long been asleep.” Fang Lv used his knee to shut the car door and walked forward a few paces before suddenly stopping, his expression looking as if he were contemplating something.
Fearing he’d be seen, Lu Siyang couldn’t help but urge, “Hurry up and go inside, why are you standing here?”
Fang Lv turned around, sat him down on the car hood, and looked up with a deeply meaningful smile: “Do you want to… try it here?”
Here?
Even though it was the middle of the night, the courtyard lights were very bright. As long as a neighbor looked through the hollowed-out fence—which offered little cover—they could clearly see what was happening in the yard. Moreover, there were three surveillance cameras directly facing the yard entrance…
Lu Siyang’s face, chilled by the cold wind, suddenly flushed hot: “Get lost, get lost, get lost. I have no interest in giving people a free live stream.”
He pushed Fang Lv, intending to jump down from the hood, but Fang Lv blocked him first. Before he could speak, cool lips pressed against his. Immediately following, the scent of tobacco and sandalwood unique to Fang Lv overwhelmed him.
Lu Siyang was kissed until he could barely breathe, but his mind hadn’t forgotten they were still in the courtyard. He pounded on Fang Lv’s shoulders, but Fang Lv seemed oblivious, pinning his wrists down and pressing him down.
During the struggle, his shirt slid out from his waist, exposing his slender skin. Fang Lv’s rough palm reached in from the hem, moving upward inch by inch, gently kneading and pressing against his chest.
“Ungh…” The pain mixed with a tingly itch made Lu Siyang’s scalp go numb; it felt so good he nearly cried out. He bit his lower lip hard to prevent that shameful sound from entering the quiet night.
The smile in Fang Lv’s eyes deepened. He lowered his head, his tongue slowly licking and nibbling at Lu Siyang’s lips and tongue. Whether it was because of Fang Lv’s touch or the cold wind, Lu Siyang shivered, a layer of goosebumps rising on his arms.
Fang Lv felt around his wrist, his large palm supporting his waist as he picked him up directly. With their lips still pressed together, Fang Lv carried him inside.
Lu Siyang was kissed until he had no strength left, his body practically turning into a puddle of water; he even entered the hall door code wrong several times. Fang Lv’s eyes crinkled as a light chuckle escaped his lips. Lu Siyang looked embarrassed and bit Fang Lv’s lower lip hard.
“Hiss—” Fang Lv hissed in pain but still didn’t retreat, only curling around his lips to forcefully seize and occupy every inch of his territory.
After entering the house, Fang Lv pinned Lu Siyang against the wall and impatiently kissed him again. Lu Siyang’s back rested against the hard wall, meeting Fang Lv’s increasingly frenzied assault. Without much foreplay, Fang Lv pressed into him in this position.
The scorching temperature made Lu Siyang shudder. His limply hanging legs suddenly snapped straight, his toes curling in pleasure. The storm-like offensive made Lu Siyang feel as if he were about to faint. He cried out in panic, but he couldn’t move the arms that were tightly clamping his waist.
The veins on the back of Fang Lv’s large hands were coiled; his fingers pressed hard against Lu Siyang’s thighs, his fingertips almost sinking into the flesh. Fang Lv held him up, looking down at him. Those light gray pupils were devoid of their usual teasing, filled instead with a sharp light that wanted to tear him apart and swallow him whole.
It was as if a dangerous thick fog had grown in Fang Lv’s eyes, obscuring all logic. Like a bottomless pool of water, it was terrifying, yet it made one want to reach out and touch it, to try for oneself what exactly was hidden in the deepest part of that cold water.
Lu Siyang watched with a bit of infatuation. He reached out and pressed his hand against the side of Fang Lv’s face. Lu Siyang looked deep into Fang Lv’s eyes, his thumb gently tracing Fang Lv’s cheek.
Fang Lv’s movements beneath him paused, suddenly stopping. Within those deep features lay a heavy emotion that Lu Siyang couldn’t understand. Fang Lv’s eye color grew darker, that pool of water in his depths becoming more profound.
Lu Siyang slowly lowered his hand, staring at those eyes without blinking. They were filled with surging greed, strands of tenderness, and a hint of… reluctance…
Lu Siyang was stunned for a moment. Why? Why did Fang Lv have such an emotion in his eyes? Why was Fang Lv looking at him with such a gaze?
But when Lu Siyang tried to look closer, Fang Lv lowered his eyes, his lashes hiding the depths that couldn’t be peered into. He couldn’t help but wonder—had he seen it wrong? He reached out to grab Fang Lv’s suit collar, using the leverage to pull himself up slightly. His misty, glazed eyes narrowed slightly.
But he still couldn’t see clearly, couldn’t see through him. Even though Fang Lv was right in front of him, he always felt as if there was a pane of transparent glass between them, making it impossible to truly touch him. He raised his hand, tentatively trying to touch Fang Lv’s cheek again, but in the next moment, Fang Lv tilted his head and dodged.
His hand stopped in mid-air, his fingertips trembling imperceptibly. Fang Lv didn’t look at him; he just closed his eyes tightly. When he opened them again, that remaining trace of tenderness had vanished, replaced by a strange, cold light.
Fang Lv hoisted him up with force, followed by an even more violent assault than before. He had never seen this side of Fang Lv—the ferocity in his brows was like that of a bloodthirsty beast, wanting to skin him alive and eat him whole. Lu Siyang sobbed and pleaded in a low voice, but Fang Lv had no intention of letting him off, meeting him with nothing but a violent storm…
After tossing and turning for most of the night, Lu Siyang had no strength left and fell into a deep sleep, only then did Fang Lv stop. In his sleep, he felt himself being picked up and gently placed on the bed. Scorchingly hot kisses fell on his hair, his forehead, and his cheeks.
With a voice where the lust hadn’t yet faded, Fang Lv whispered in his ear. Lu Siyang pushed Fang Lv’s face away somewhat impatiently. In the next moment, the other man pressed against his lips, and a sweet, cool flow was transferred from Fang Lv’s lips into his mouth. Lu Siyang swallowed the water with his eyes closed, feeling his eyelids too heavy to open. Before Fang Lv could even walk out of the bedroom door, he fell into a deep sleep.
This time, he slept for an unprecedentedly long time. When Lu Siyang opened his eyes, he saw the bedroom wall illuminated by the orange-red sunlight. His mind went blank for a moment; he lay there dazed for a while before remembering what had happened last night.
He remembered Fang Lv’s bloodshot eyes as he rode him, the heavy breathing by his ear, and the movements that felt as if they were about to break him apart. For some reason, last night’s Fang Lv was more frantic than ever before.
He lifted the blanket to look at his body. Sure enough… it was covered in bruises and marks again. Fang Lv loved leaving marks on his neck; the previous ones hadn’t even faded before new ones covered them. Last time he forgot to cover them and went to the office brazenly with the suggestive crimson marks showing; he didn’t realize until it was almost time to clock out. No wonder Assistant Zhang’s gaze had been so strange—he had truly lost all face.
Thinking of the company, he tapped his head. He was going to be late again. Lu Siyang quickly grabbed his phone, and the time on the screen made him freeze for several seconds.
