Chapter 1: Do You Need Help?
The Losinna Club, located in the most prosperous area of the Han City center, was one of the favorite pastimes for the young masters of the social circle. Whenever night fell, a steady stream of luxury cars lined up to enter the club’s parking lot.
At this moment, inside a VIP private box on the third floor, Manager Sun, the person in charge of the club, stood before a coffee table with his back bowed, looking terrified. On the European-style sofa opposite him sat a young man with exquisite features.
The young man’s head was slightly lowered, his almond eyes half-closed, his thick eyelashes concealing most of the emotions within. A few strands of hair, which had been styled high with gel, had fallen loose, prodding the bridge of his nose. The young man’s nose was exceptionally beautiful, rising high from the root and connecting straight to the tip, with a high and straight bridge. Further down, his rounded philtrum curved slightly upward, and his lips revealed an enticing, deep red hue.
The youth held a shattered glass goblet in his hand. The residual red wine in the glass slowly slid along his slender fingers down to his forearm. The wine-red liquid meandered across his fair skin, exuding a touch of erotic beauty.
Raising his long legs and crossing them over the coffee table, the young man lifted his eyelids, his expression hovering between a smile and a sneer. “Manager Sun, did you understand what I just said?“
Manager Sun’s back was already soaked with cold sweat. Hearing this, he hurriedly said, “Yes, yes, President Lu, I understand, I understand.“
Lu Siyang shifted his gaze to the waiter trembling uncontrollably behind Manager Sun. He curled his lips, a flash of coldness crossing his light brown pupils.
“Pre—President Lu…” The waiter’s face was white, and he was nearly on the verge of tears. “President Lu, I was wrong, I really didn’t know it was you…“
Manager Sun apologized incessantly, his body bending nearly ninety degrees. “President Lu, I am truly sorry. He is a newcomer and haven’t seen you before. It was our negligence, you—”
Lu Siyang raised his eyes and swept a faint glance at Manager Sun. The other man felt as if his throat had been instantly constricted, swallowing the rest of his words.
The massive private box was terrifyingly silent, save for the occasional heavy breathing of a fat man slumped on the floor in the corner, his face covered in blood.
Lu Siyang suddenly stood up from the sofa and walked toward the fat man. His dark brown Italian handmade leather shoes stepped one by one across the mess of cups and plates covering the floor. The contact between the cork soles and the broken glass shards produced a chilling crunching sound, like a hand tightening around a neck, making it increasingly difficult for everyone present to breathe.
He tossed away the goblet in his hand, grabbed the fat man’s hair, and pulled upward with force.
“Young Master Wang of Rongfei Building Materials from He Province, is that right?” Lu Siyang looked down from above at this face, where the fat pushed his eyes into mere slits. He slapped the man’s bloated face, the sound of the ‘pa-pa’ echoing. “At the banquet last week, your father was humble and submissive when he saw me, yet you really have some guts.“
Wang Fa was mostly sober from the alcohol now, his pale lips trembling incessantly. “President Lu, I—I really didn’t recognize that it was you… If I had known it was you, even with ten thousand times more courage, I wouldn’t have dared…“
Lu Siyang wanted to say something more, but he suddenly felt a surge of heat abruptly rise in his lower abdomen. His expression changed, and he released his grip on Wang Fa’s hair. Wiping away the fine sweat seeping from his forehead, Lu Siyang unbuttoned three shirt buttons in succession.
His high, prominent collarbones were exposed under the light, his smooth skin almost translucent. Lu Siyang tried his best to suppress that increasingly undeniable heat, raising his hand to point randomly at a waiter. “Since ‘Young Master Wang’ likes to drink, go bring twenty bottles of Macallan and watch him finish them.“
“Yes, yes…” The waiter looked at Wang Fa, who was lying on the ground like a dead pig, with fear and trepidation, and hurried out.
Lu Siyang pinched his palm hard with his fingertips; the pain cleared his muddled brain slightly.
“Manager Sun,” he walked up to Manager Sun, poking the man’s chest with his index finger, his tone gloomy. “The account between me and Young Master Wang will be settled slowly in the future. As for your person, think about how to deal with him.“
Manager Sun felt a chill down his spine and answered in a panic, “Yes, President Lu, rest assured, I will definitely give you a satisfactory answer.“
Lu Siyang grabbed his suit jacket from the sofa and draped it over his arm, covering his slightly trembling fingertips.
“President Lu,” Manager Sun noticed something and, after hesitating repeatedly, finally asked, “Do you want me to arrange someone for you… absolutely clean.“
Lu Siyang’s face was dark as he suppressed the heat surging to his chest. “No need.” After saying that, he pushed the door and walked out without looking back.
The wall lamps in the corridor shone through glazed covers, the mottled halos of light making his head spin in a daze. Lu Siyang composed himself and took out his phone to call his driver. However, his vision was currently blurred and he couldn’t focus on the screen at all, pressing the wrong unlock password several times in a row.
He bit his teeth and stepped into the elevator.
Recalling what had just happened, Lu Siyang couldn’t help but feel irritated and embarrassed. He had only lingered in the hall for a few minutes before being targeted by that blind grandson who had drunk too much, who then bribed a waiter to drug his red wine.
Given the Lu family’s current status in Shan Province, Lu Siyang never expected anyone to have such dog-like audacity, so he had drunk the wine brought by the waiter without any defenses. Fortunately, the impatient Wang Fa hadn’t waited for the drug to take effect before barging in. Sensing something was wrong, Lu Siyang grabbed Wang Fa by the collar and beat him half to death.
At the thought of Wang Fa’s greasy and disgusting face, Lu Siyang’s expression became increasingly dark. To dare provoke him—this matter would definitely not end peacefully today.
His calves suddenly began to go soft. Lu Siyang staggered backward, leaning his body against the elevator car wall and taking a heavy breath. As the elevator descended, waves of dizziness hit him. Lu Siyang closed his eyes, his breathing gradually becoming heavy.
“Ding—”
The elevator stopped on the second floor.
The silver-grey metal doors slowly slid open to both sides. The first thing that came into view was a pair of pure black Chelsea boots. The other person stepped into the elevator; with the movement of lifting his leg, the muscular contours of his thighs, wrapped in suit pants, were revealed. His waist was lean, and further up, full pectoral muscles made his pure black shirt look as if it were about to burst.
The buttons at the collar were open to the second one, faintly revealing a dark green tattoo on his chest.
Lu Siyang’s breathing caught for a moment. He couldn’t help but feel a bit curious; what kind of face belonged to someone with such a physique to be proud of?
The man was very tall, at least one hundred and ninety centimeters. Lu Siyang had to knit his brows and look up. It was a face of extreme aggression—a buzz cut so short it almost exposed the scalp, a sharp jawline like it was carved by a knife, and distinct, angular features. The bridge of his nose rose high from the root, and his narrow eyes were half-squinted, a hint of playfulness flashing in his light grey pupils.
A cold scent of sandalwood, which was extremely inconsistent with the man’s outward appearance, suddenly drifted into Lu Siyang’s nose. Following it was the pressure brought by the man’s aggressive height, which almost instantly made Lu Siyang think of some dangerous carnivorous predator.
The man leaned diagonally to the side, looking Lu Siyang up and down from top to bottom.
Lu Siyang felt somewhat impatient with this blatant gaze and raised his eyes to meet the other’s look.
The man raised an eyebrow and suddenly spoke: “Do you need help?”
