Straight Corporate Slave Accidentally Stumbles into the School's F4 - Chapter 7
Chapter 7
“Aren’t you going to take off your clothes to shower?”
But wouldn’t that be a bit too monotonous?
Suddenly, the first piece of advice on how to make a man have a good impression of you flashed through Qiao Nai’s mind:
1. Maintain a sense of mystery. Do not reveal all your information at once; this can make a man full of curiosity about you.
Maintain a sense of mystery.
Thinking of this, before the person in front of him even had a chance to reach out and take the water bottle, Qiao Nai set it down on the adjacent seat with a swift movement and immediately took several steps back.
“?”
Ferrio’s arm, suspended in mid-air, paused. He looked at Qiao An with complete bewilderment.
Standing a few paces away, Qiao An felt uncomfortable being stared at. “Is something wrong?”
Although he didn’t get a verbal reply, Qiao Nai saw a flicker of confusion on his face!
Excellent, successfully filled with curiosity!
“If you’re not drinking it, I will, Lio.” One of the teammates walked over, took the water from Yun Cheng’s hand, and patted his fluffy brown hair in passing. “Thanks, bro!”
“Don’t pat my hair!” Yun Cheng swatted his hand away. Noticing something out of the corner of his eye, he asked, “What’s going on over there? Why is everyone crowding around?”
“When the first half ended, Rio got tripped by someone. His ankle seems to be injured; the doctor is applying medicine to it now,” the teammate sighed.
“Ah, is it serious?”
“Kind of serious.”
“Isn’t there a backup player? Can’t he be swapped out?”
“There is, but we can’t get a hold of him,” the teammate said. “The coach advised Rio to sit out and rest, but he refused, saying he’s worried it’ll affect our chances of winning the championship.”
“Don’t let him play, let him rest.” Ferrio crushed the empty bottle, tossed it into a nearby trash can, and stood up. “Keep calling the backup player.”
The second half of the match was about to begin. Qiao Nai was preparing to head back to the VIP box when he heard someone say they still couldn’t contact the backup player.
“Hey, Yun Cheng.” Qiao Nai nudged Yun Cheng’s arm and asked, “Is this match really that important?”
“It’s pretty important for the school, after all, it’s the anniversary celebration,” Yun Cheng spread his hands. “He can’t play with a bad ankle. Looks like we probably won’t win the championship this time.”
Just as Yun Cheng finished speaking, he noticed Qiao Nai had suddenly stopped a few paces behind him.
“What is it?” he asked.
Qiao Nai pursed his lips. After a moment, he heard himself say:
“I can help fill in for a bit.”
Within two minutes, Qiao Nai had put on his protective gear.
At that moment, the referee blew the whistle, the match began, and the atmosphere on the field instantly became tense.
“If you don’t know how, don’t force it. Pass the ball to me later.” Having known Qiao An for so many years, this was the first time Ferrio knew that Qiao An could play football.
Since he didn’t know his actual strength, Ferrio remained skeptical for the time being.
“Don’t worry, I know a little bit.” Qiao An pressed his index and middle fingers together, making a cool gesture.
Qiao Nai said he knew “a little,” but in reality, he was very good. He had studied football for several years as a child and had even won championships representing his school in middle and high school. Later, after entering society and becoming a “corporate slave,” he became exhausted in body and mind and stopped playing.
He hadn’t expected to have an opportunity to show off his skills like this.
He had to do it.
The match was intense, making not only the spectators nervous but even the coach was on edge.
“Blue 80! Blue 80!” the opposing quarterback began shouting tactical signals.
“Blitz!” the defense rushed the quarterback.
“Stop the edge!” the defense fought to hold the sidelines.
“My bad.”
“It’s okay, keep going.”
The second half was divided into two quarters, with a two-minute break in between.
Qiao Nai felt like he hadn’t even fully displayed his skills before the thirty minutes vanished in a flash.
The moment the match ended, almost the entire stadium erupted in cheers.
“We won, we won! Champions!”
“So satisfying!”
Qiao Nai propped his hands on his knees, panting for breath, and raised an eyebrow. “How about that, Lio? I’m pretty good, right?”
Qiao Nai just wanted a compliment, but the result was that this guy wouldn’t even squeeze out a single word.
Pretending not to hear again!
Qiao Nai stood up, approached, and stood on his tiptoes. Taking Ferrio by surprise, he reached out and hooked his arms around Ferrio’s neck.
When Yun Cheng rushed over, he happened to witness this scene. He sprinted in front of the two of them with lightning speed, exceptionally excited. He reached out to hug both of them, but seeing Ferrio’s “stay-a-thousand-miles-away” expression, he had to give up. “Qiao An! You were hiding your light under a bushel, that was incredibly cool!”
“Naturally.”
Qiao Nai didn’t think much of it; he was just preoccupied with being happy and didn’t notice Ferrio’s look of disdain.
The cheers around them grew more intense. Qiao Nai saw the other team members hugging each other excitedly out of the corner of his eye. So, he also reached out and gave Ferrio a hug.
Being hugged, Ferrio froze on the spot.
Ferrio was over 1.9 meters tall. Due to frequent exercise, he had an excellent physique with broad shoulders and a narrow waist. In contrast, Qiao Nai’s 1.8-meter height seemed a bit small. When he hugged him and looked up, his stray hairs lightly brushed against Ferrio’s neck, leaving behind a tingle of itchiness. From Ferrio’s perspective, he looked exactly like the fancy pet rat he kept at home.
Qiao Nai had clearly only given him a light hug, yet Ferrio felt his whole body grow hot.
In just two or three days, this was the second time he felt this unbearable itch in his heart.
And the culprit both times was the same person: Qiao Nai.
The stadium had several locker rooms, all equipped with showers for the players to wash up after the game.
After the match ended, Qiao Nai found a random locker room. When he was a corporate slave, he spent all day in the office and didn’t even visit the gym once a week. It had been a long time since he exercised like this; after playing, his body felt sticky and hot, so he planned to take a shower first.
Yun Cheng and Kablai were still waiting for him in the VIP box, so Qiao Nai found a nearby locker room.
This locker room was relatively quiet. Qiao Nai knocked several times but no one answered, so he assumed no one was inside.
Thinking this, Qiao Nai pressed the handle and walked in. Turning around and looking up, he discovered there actually was someone in the locker room.
“Lio?” Qiao Nai rubbed his eyes, thinking he had seen wrong. He actually saw the “original uke” here; Qiao Nai had thought he’d already gone back.
Ferrio had just taken off his jersey and was currently buttoning up his shirt. Hearing the voice, he paused his movements and looked toward the door.
Qiao Nai looked around the rest of the room and found that Ferrio was the only one in the entire locker room.
Since there was no one else, Qiao Nai didn’t stand on ceremony. He found a random locker, put his clean clothes inside, and gritted his teeth as he pulled off his gloves.
In half a minute, Qiao Nai had stripped off all the gear from the match, leaving only his shirt and trousers.
After playing for so long, Qiao Nai had inevitably sweated a lot. When he bent over to change into slippers, the overhead light shone down. Ferrio saw Qiao Nai’s white shirt, clinging to his skin, rising and falling slightly with his breath.
Qiao Nai reached up and rubbed his neck.
His skin was fair and thin; a light rub was enough to bring up a patch of red, which was clearly visible through the shirt, even tinting the fabric with a faint layer of pink.
Qiao Nai’s skin tone was naturally transparent and clean, and now wrapped in a layer of wet clothing, it was hard not to let one’s imagination run wild especially for Ferrio, who had just managed to suppress that unbearable itchy feeling.
Grasping the hem of his clothes with both hands, Qiao Nai pulled the white shirt off with a simple motion. He turned his head to look at Ferrio and asked, “Aren’t you going to take off your clothes to shower?”
