Chapter 35: “I Still Prefer Your Unruly…”
After Pei Shujing said those words, the room fell into silence, and time seemed to slow down.
“…Your Highness, what about you? When did you start having me in your heart?”
Xie Ning’s voice was bitter, while the expression on Pei Shujing’s face returned to calmness. She listened carefully to Xie Ning’s words.
“I thought about it. The only time Your Highness could have developed feelings for me was on the battlefield. How can Your Highness be sure that was love and not impulse?”
Xie Ning knew that her words were sophistry, and Pei Shujing wouldn’t fail to notice, but she said them anyway.
What did she feel for Pei Shujing?
It was a desire to possess and defile Pei Shujing, to violate everything about her, and to pour all wickedness and desire onto her—that was lust.
And Pei Shujing genuinely seemed to have fallen for her—that was love.
Precisely because of this, she felt it was unfair to Pei Shujing.
Xie Ning sighed: “Your Highness, you just need a period of cooling down.”
“This Prince thought the same before,” Pei Shujing said softly, and then silence descended upon the room again.
After a moment, her face began to fluctuate: “But why did you insist on provoking this Prince?”
“You provoked this Prince, and now you’re playing innocent and telling this Prince to let go?”
Pei Shujing sneered.
“Xie Ning, you tell this Prince why?”
After she finished speaking, she saw a flicker of pain cross Xie Ning’s face, which calmed Pei Shujing’s mood significantly.
She didn’t believe Xie Ning only had desire for her. Just like Xie Ning risking her life in the siege battle for her last time, and the current distress, all indicated that in Xie Ning’s heart, she was not just the Grand Princess but also a person she liked.
How could one be willing to die for someone if they only felt lust?
The corner of Pei Shujing’s mouth curled up. She knew Xie Ning was concerned about the imperial throne. She wanted the throne, and Xie Ning wanted freedom.
So, Pei Shujing said decisively: “You don’t have to worry about the imperial throne. This Prince said that even if the whole world opposes it, this Prince will find a way to make them agree. If you want freedom, we can find a point of balance.”
“Now, you only need to answer this Prince with one sentence: Do you have me in your heart?”
Xie Ning forced a smile: “I am your Imperial Son-in-Law. How could I not like you?”
Heh, always the same line. Xie Ning seemed only capable of using this phrase to put her off. But today, she absolutely needed Xie Ning to express her true feelings.
“This Prince means, the kind between lovers. You should understand what this Prince means.”
Xie Ning heard Pei Shujing’s probing and hesitated for a long time before finally uttering a low word: “No.”
Logic told Pei Shujing that this was Xie Ning’s way of completely severing the thought in her heart, but emotion allowed grief to continuously erode her inner self. Xie Ning’s denial ultimately fueled Pei Shujing’s anger.
“Fine, then you help me.” Pei Shujing was expressionless.
“Huh?” Xie Ning looked at her, confused.
“I feel very uncomfortable right now. Since you only have desire for me, then this Prince allows you to release that desire. It just so happens that this Prince is very uncomfortable right now. You come and help this Prince resolve the issue.” Pei Shujing said plainly.
“Your Highness…” Xie Ning pursed her lips, her brows furrowed, looking at her forlornly.
Pei Shujing defiantly lifted her palace gown: “Come on.”
“Your Highness, don’t be like this…” Xie Ning struggled to stand up, supporting herself against the wall and backing away a few steps.
“What, do you want this Prince to do it herself?” Pei Shujing had an air of giving up on everything.
“Be normal.” Xie Ning frowned at her.
“Heh, this Prince isn’t normal…”
Pei Shujing smiled, walked up to Xie Ning, and embraced her weak body.
Xie Ning flushed: “Your Highness… Mh mh!!!”
“Mh mh~~ You~~ Let go!” Xie Ning suddenly pushed Pei Shujing away.
Pei Shujing looked at her expressionlessly: “This Prince is offering you the antidote actively. Are you still reluctant?”
With that, she lunged for her lips again.
Xie Ning was furious, struggling violently in Pei Shujing’s embrace.
But the Grand Princess disregarded her. If her lips were moved away, she intensely kissed Xie Ning’s cheek. When the cheek turned away, she sucked on Xie Ning’s hot, red earlobe, teasing her.
“Mh~ Let go of me, Pei Shujing!” Xie Ning’s tone was sharp. It was clear she was truly angry.
But Pei Shujing persisted in forcibly kissing Xie Ning’s cheeks and neck.
Xie Ning used all her strength and violently pushed her away. A slap landed on her with a “pa,” and she fiercely cried: “Are you insane, Pei Shujing?!”
But she was utterly weak right now. That slap felt more like a caress.
Xie Ning: “…”
Pei Shujing pulled out a smile.
“Perhaps…”
“This Prince doesn’t know what’s wrong with me. The emotions I could suppress a few days ago are now completely uncontrollable.”
“The more you resist, the more this Prince can’t control herself. Why is that?”
“Ah!” Pei Shujing covered her mouth and chuckled lightly.
“To use your words, Ning, this is desire.”
“In that case, this Prince might only have desire for Ning as well!”
“Your Highness, don’t be like this…” Xie Ning’s original anger gradually faded when she heard her words, replaced by a painful expression.
Pei Shujing ignored the pain on Xie Ning’s face, closing in on her step by step, watching Xie Ning’s expression transition from pain to struggle, and then once again embracing Xie Ning’s delicate body.
Xie Ning gave up the struggle, her eyes dull as she stared at Pei Shujing.
Pei Shujing remained silent and kissed Xie Ning again, her tongue easily prying open the tightly sealed lips, greedily seeking the fragrance emanating from their teeth and mouth.
After a long time, she simply pressed Xie Ning down onto the bed, mounted her body, and then passionately kissed Xie Ning’s fair neck with her warm, wet tongue.
Xie Ning beneath her couldn’t use all her strength to stop Pei Shujing’s actions. She stuttered in a panic.
“Y-Your Highness, didn’t you say you were just giving me the antidote?”
Xie Ning thought it was just going to be a quick kiss, but seeing Pei Shujing’s actions, it seemed she wanted to go all the way…
How could that be?!
“Let go~~” Xie Ning weakly pushed Pei Shujing, her hands hitting her randomly, and her feet thrashing.
Pei Shujing grew impatient. She simply grabbed both of Xie Ning’s wrists, lifted them above her head, overlapped them, and held them with one hand. She pinned Xie Ning’s thighs with her own legs, not allowing her any space to escape. The free hand traced along Xie Ning’s waistline, feeling her arbitrarily.
“Your Highness, calm down.” Xie Ning pressed her hands against the bed, struggling to sit up, but it was ultimately futile.
“Be good, listen.” Pei Shujing’s voice carried no emotion.
She shifted slightly downward, sitting on Xie Ning’s thighs, lifted her clothes, and slipped her hand inside.
“Pei Shujing~ You~” Xie Ning’s struggling body paused, and then she violently struggled again.
The Grand Princess pressed down on her and lightly blew a breath into Xie Ning’s ear.
Whether Xie Ning was too weak to struggle anymore, or if she was numb as before, she finally ceased struggling.
Pei Shujing explored intimately, and Xie Ning’s body slightly twitched.
“Ning, it seems what you said is quite true.”
Xie Ning remained silent.
“Ning, you don’t like this Prince, but your body seems to like this Prince very much.” Pei Shujing spoke again. This time, there was a hint of a smile.
“Let go of me!” Even though Xie Ning had given up the struggle, hearing those words made her flush. She still cried out stubbornly.
Pei Shujing sneered.
She would see if Xie Ning’s body was as tough as her mouth.
Pei Shujing applied a little force, then asked: “Do you like it?”
Xie Ning trembled slightly, grinding her teeth and spitting out three words: “Don’t like it.”
“And now?”
“No~”
“Do you like this Prince?”
“Don’t~ Like~ You~”
Between the questions and answers, the time for an incense stick to burn had passed.
“Ha—”
“Hoh—”
With soft gasps, Pei Shujing’s mouth parted, her upper body slightly swaying with her breathing.
Her cheek, tightly pasted with strands of hair, was slightly angled up, revealing the soft lines of her neck beneath her black long hair.
Feeling the force applied to her body, her delicate eyebrows suddenly furrowed, and the flush on her pale cheek deepened a few shades.
Even though her arms were tightly grasped and her body was pressed motionlessly onto the bed, she still maintained a controlled, calm tone, tilting her small face to meet Xie Ning’s gaze.
A smug smile lifted her lips, and a hint of mockery flashed in her eyes.
“I still prefer your unruly look just now…”
Xie Ning pursed her lips, offering no response.
The drug’s effect had worn off. Now back to normal, she only wanted to teach this woman a good lesson.
Using the exact tactics Pei Shujing had used on her, Xie Ning retracted one hand, leaned her body forward, and thus, while observing her expression, extended a finger to touch her burning cheek.
A soft sensation was transmitted to her fingertip. Just as her appearance suggested, Pei Shujing’s face was startlingly smooth and delicate.
A slight pressure on her finger was met with a strange elasticity, so comfortable that she almost didn’t want to let go.
“Tell me what else you like, and I will grant you everything.”
Xie Ning released her hand and slightly turned her face, her gaze meeting Pei Shujing’s slightly narrowed eyes. Her lips were pressed together. The anxious expression had softened at some point, replaced by her usual confidence and a mocking look.
Yes, that smile, that tone.
It makes her relentlessly annoyed.
She was clearly in a state of distress, yet that small mouth still spat out sarcastic, cutting words—this woman, Pei Shujing!
In fact, Pei Shujing had figured it out: why cling to Xie Ning’s love?
Why insist on Xie Ning’s initiative?
If there was a first time, and a second time, as long as she took the initiative, what could Xie Ning do?
Thinking this, Pei Shujing embraced Xie Ning’s long neck and pulled her toward her lips. This time, Xie Ning did not move away. Instead, she passionately tangled with her.
Lips and teeth intertwined, inseparable.
After the greedy exchange, Pei Shujing lightly bit Xie Ning’s lower lip.
“Since Ning doesn’t like this Prince, why not just leave your body to this Prince?”
Xie Ning tilted her head, a cold smile escaping her mouth.
“Alright. I’ll listen to Your Highness. Our relationship will be simpler. I am Your Highness’s tool to satisfy desire, and you are my toy to release desire.”
With that, Xie Ning’s grip gradually tightened.
Pei Shujing’s abdomen couldn’t help but tense up. She could distinctly feel her body heating up, and her mind was washed blank.
The atmosphere was dry and hot, the temperature escalating. The moist air was so thick that the airflow couldn’t move, and there were, from time to time, jolts of impact.
“!”
Even with her teeth clenched, her body involuntarily arched.
Forcibly swallowing the shout that wanted to escape, she exhaled a misty breath and stared at the ceiling above her head.
“My dear Your Highness, do you concede defeat?”
“Concede defeat?”
The owner of the perfect figure spoke again. Even from below, she maintained a condescending aura.
“My dear Ning, you are still… far from it.”
