She Said She Has Feelings For Someone - Chapter 65
Chapter 65: Epilogue II — PD Hua’s Vlog
Chapter Summary: The Sunstone CP!
A July summer day. A rain shower had just passed over Jiangcheng.
Beep beep—
The alarm on the nightstand had only chirped twice before a hand reached out, pressing it off with speed and precision. In the frame, the person on the bed took a deep breath and then sat up decisively.
Swish—
The curtains were pulled open, letting a roomful of sunlight spill in. “It’s a beautiful day today~”
The camera shifted to show the woman’s face—a young, energetic face full of life. “Hi babies, good morning! I’m PD Hua from Producer Dream Factory.”
Hua Tong’s voice carried the slight laziness of someone who had just woken up, but there was no trace of exhaustion. “After Producer Dream Factory aired last week, it received a lot of love from viewers, and many are curious about the stories behind the scenes. So today, PD Hua is taking everyone along to see a day in my work life.”
After washing up and changing, Hua Tong headed out, just as she ran into her neighbor, Auntie Song, taking her child out.
“Morning, Auntie Song!” “Oh!” the middle-aged woman replied with a smile. “Morning, Huahua.”
The camera caught the child in the stroller, looking only about four or five months old, with eyes as bright and lively as grapes. The baby was clearly familiar with Hua Tong; as soon as she saw her, she smiled brightly and reached out her arms to be held.
“Aww, little Qingqing wants a hug~”
Hua Tong picked up the child with one arm, and the two appeared together in the frame, head to head. “Little Qingqing, come say hello to everyone~”
As soon as she spoke, the baby made two “ah-ah” sounds, innocent and adorable. Hua Tong chuckled and carefully placed her back in the stroller.
After saying goodbye to Auntie Song and Song Qing, Hua Tong left the Cherry Dormitory Building and headed to the park for a morning run.
Since becoming Lu Shuyu’s student, Hua Tong had undergone a comprehensive transformation, from professional skills to physical fitness. She wasn’t naturally weak, but she used to hate exercising, relying entirely on her youth to get by. During the first week of her “Two-Kilometer Morning Run” assignment, she had been exhausted to the point of collapse.
After finishing her routine five kilometers, Hua Tong caught her breath and showed the timer to the camera: “Twenty-eight minutes. There’s progress.” She smiled proudly; the results of her training clearly brought her joy.
Heading to her usual breakfast spot, Hua Tong ordered a bowl of wontons, sat outside, and chatted with the camera. “It’s been raining for the past few days, but it cleared up today. The air is great. The air in Jiangcheng is definitely much better than in City B~”
She paused, fearing she might be perceived as criticizing City B, and smoothly pivoted: “If you want to exercise, I recommend choosing a time like the morning when the air quality is good. If you can’t wake up early, you can do something simple at home in the evening—dumbbells, planks, that sort of thing. But if you like the outdoors, I highly recommend rock climbing. Lu PD’s top pick! It’s very fun!”
After finishing breakfast, she waved goodbye to the camera: “I’m going home to change, and then I’ll see you at the filming studio!”
…
When the camera turned on again, they were inside the studio. The lights were dazzling, and many staff members had arrived and begun their busy work.
Producer Dream Factory was a “Cherry Media” production, independently planned by Lu Shuyu. It was a program that had been in preparation for nearly a year by a production studio co-funded by Lu Shuyu, the renowned female director Basil (Luo Le), the female screenwriter Rong Shu, and the retired Best Actress Zhuang Baiwei. The goal was to help talented but unknown female directors and screenwriters showcase their talents while pulling back the curtain on behind-the-scenes work for the audience.
Hua Tong showcased the interior of the studio: “These were all custom-built after discussions between the production designers, Lu PD, and the team. Later, when the scripts begin filming, new sets will be built based on those scripts.”
The competing directors and screenwriters were already working in their respective group rooms. Hua Tong scanned the area briefly, making sure not to disturb them, and then walked toward the PD Lounge.
Reaching the door, Hua Tong didn’t forget to offer some praise: “Our Lu PD arrives the earliest and leaves the latest every day. Her greatness needs no words.”
She knocked, and Lu Shuyu’s voice came from inside: “Come in.”
Hua Tong opened the door, surprised to see two more familiar faces. “Teacher Xia!”
Xia Leshuang smiled, carrying a hint of fatigue from staying up late. “Morning, PD Hua.”
Beside her, Song Yi gave a couple of “ahem” coughs. “Not excited to see me?”
Hua Tong chuckled and closed the door. “Morning, PD Song!” She then acted spoiled: “I see PD Song all the time~ I even hugged little Qingqing this morning!”
At the end of last year, Xia Leshuang’s criminal investigation drama was released. it shattered all previous records for Cherry Media’s film and television department and brought in considerable profits. Consequently, Min Wutong made a grand move, buying a building in Jiangcheng to open a Cherry Media branch and expand their territory southward.
Jiangcheng, located in the “Free Shipping Zone” (East China), was just across the river from City S. Hovering between a second- and third-tier city, its pace of life, cost of living, and culture were more relaxed, making it easy to adapt to. Although not as bustling as City B, the nature of the work remained the same. Being a southerner herself, moving to Jiangcheng made it convenient for Hua Tong to visit home.
Min Wutong had stayed in Jiangcheng for three months to arrange employee benefits—covering food, housing, and transportation—for the transferred staff. Shortly after she left, the Jiangcheng branch received another piece of good news: Song Yi had returned.
Song Yi’s daughter, Song Qing, was born in winter, but unfortunately, she wasn’t welcomed by her biological father. After finishing her postpartum recovery, Song Yi couldn’t stand the “birdcage” life anymore. She initiated a divorce and moved to Jiangcheng with her daughter and mother to live and work. By pure coincidence, she lived right next door to Hua Tong.
Song Yi thought about it and decided to “forgive” her generously. “Fine, then I won’t disturb your celebrity-chasing.”
Seeing her about to leave, Lu Shuyu added, “Teacher, since you’re here, do an advertisement before you go.”
Song Yi turned back and gave a graceful smile to Hua Tong’s camera: “My outdoor survival variety show will launch in October. Everyone, remember to tune in.”
After Song Yi left, Hua Tong’s camera shifted, landing right on Lu Shuyu and Xia Leshuang. She quietly zoomed in, catching a close-up of their hands resting close together. They were wearing a pair of sunstone bracelets.
No identical bracelets could be found anywhere on the internet, but Xia Leshuang’s fans had meticulously investigated until they found the matching one on Lu Shuyu’s wrist. From then on, they were given a CP (Couple) name: The Sunstone CP. Though it sounded simple, it was concise and meaningful—sunstones symbolize a passion that is intense and everlasting.
Lu Shuyu noticed her little movement at a glance but didn’t call her out. She raised an eyebrow. “What, should I step aside and let you chase your star properly?”
Hua Tong followed the lead and tucked her camera away. “What are you saying, Lu PD! My loyalty to you is witnessed by heaven and earth!”
Hearing this, Xia Leshuang also raised an eyebrow. “Then am I the extra one?”
…
Hua Tong understood instantly. Okay, she was the extra one! What should she do if her CP was too in love? Naturally, she should have some sense and exit quickly!
…
As soon as the lounge door closed, the two hands resting close together clasped together. It was hard to say who moved first; perhaps, like magnets, they were simply drawn to each other.
Lu Shuyu smiled. “Tired?”
Xia Leshuang had finished filming in the middle of the night. She hurried back and came straight to the studio this morning. She had barely managed to close her eyes for half an hour on the sofa before Song Yi arrived.
“I’m okay.” Xia Leshuang sat down and leaned against Shuyu’s arm. Soon, Lu Shuyu heard a mumble against her shoulder: “A bit sleepy…”
“Then sleep~” Shuyu replied softly.
“Then I’ll go…” Xia Leshuang replied with difficulty, clearly with one foot already in a dream, “…to the sofa…”
Lu Shuyu chuckled. She placed her other hand on the side of Leshuang’s neck, stroking it soothingly. “Just sleep.”
Soon, Xia Leshuang’s breathing became long and steady.
When Hua Tong knocked on the lounge door again with work matters, this was the scene she walked into. Thinking she was disturbing them, she hesitated, but Lu Shuyu signaled for her to wait. Shuyu then picked up a throw pillow and helped Xia Leshuang lean against it to sleep comfortably.
Walking out of the lounge and gently closing the door, Lu Shuyu asked, “What’s wrong?” After listening to the report, Shuyu nodded. “I’ll go take a look.”
Hua Tong walked a step behind, unable to stop thinking about the scene in the lounge. Her heart was filled with warmth.
She declared: The Sunstone CP is the most beautiful CP in her heart!
