Seduced Me into a Deep Fall - Chapter 21.2
Song Yi was slowly drawn back into the lingering traces of her heat.
The two burned together in the same fiery rain, flames roaring, fed by endless kisses.
Fingertips brushed the floor, tracing spiraling dance steps.
Kisses trailed along ears, collarbones, and those mesmerizing ends of her hair.
A clear spring atop a snowy peak boiled into exquisite tea, bergamot adding its fragrance.
When Ling Xi bit Song Yi’s neck, lightly licking her swollen gland, Song Yi crumpled to the floor.
She lifted her gaze, spotting the scattered prayer beads she had flung aside in disarray.
The lotus tassels resembled the solemn sanctity of a Buddhist temple, carved with sacred verses warning disciples against greed.
Yet here she was, lost in layers of desire, reduced to a canary in Ling Xi’s hands…
Before Ling Xi could even process today’s chaos, her entire body went cold.
Other things were manageable… but doing that and marking Song Yi?
Would Song Yi kill her?!
At the sound of footsteps, Ling Xi jerked her head up to see Song Yi holding a glass of water, completely naked, her face instantly flushing cherry-red.
“S-s-sorry!” After just one second of looking, she squeezed her eyes shut, not daring to glance again.
Even her sense of smell shut down, refusing to catch the faint traces of lingering intimacy in the air.
Song Yi, now thoroughly relaxed, arched a brow at Ling Xi’s reaction.
Had she forgotten who initiated it?
Ling Xi’s mind was a tangled mess, how could she remember who led or followed, who took the first step?
All she knew was that they had slept together.
She had marked Song Yi, so her rut had subsided.
Song Yi watched Ling Xi with amusement, then simply sat down beside her.
“You bit me so many times, and now you think a simple ‘sorry’ is enough?”
Though the words were accusatory, her tone was light, carrying a faint teasing lilt that hooked the listener’s heart.
“Ling Xi, look up. All of this is your handiwork.” Song Yi was remarkably unbothered, not caring what was visible and what wasn’t.
They had been at it for at least five hours was there even an inch of each other left unfamiliar?
“I’m sorry… I just, I was in rut, I didn’t know what I was doing, I’m sorry!” Ling Xi quickly glanced up.
A scattering of suggestive red marks burned into her vision.
She immediately ducked her head again, now curled up like a frightened quail, trembling.
Song Yi caught the faintest hint of a sob.
“I know you were in rut,” Song Yi said with a soft laugh.
She reached out and brushed her fingers over Ling Xi’s scent gland.
The touch glided over the most sensitive skin, the tickling sensation making Ling Xi whose feverish heat had only just faded tense up.
“I also happened to be in heat. I’m not blaming you.” Song Yi withdrew her hand, propping her chin as she gazed at Ling Xi.
A playful glint flickered in her phoenix eyes. Since Ling Xi didn’t remember exactly what had happened, she couldn’t blame Song Yi for messing with her.
“Ah…” She really wasn’t angry?
Ling Xi felt like the world had turned surreal. Her face was still flushed, her eyes brimming with unshed tears.
It made Song Yi want to return every single bite mark.
“Then… either way, it’s all my fault.” Ling Xi remembered Song Yi had been perfectly fine last night, where were the signs of heat?
If she, as an alpha, hadn’t lost control of her pheromones, how could the omega have been dragged into a special period alongside her?
“I can take responsibility, no, wait… I can compensate no, that’s not it either…” After stammering in circles, Ling Xi only succeeded in confusing herself.
“Whatever compensation you need, I’ll do it!” How embarrassing, what had she even been saying?
Song Yi chuckled. “Are you sure you’ll do anything?”
“Yes!” Ling Xi nodded vigorously.
She didn’t even consider whether Song Yi might make things difficult for her.
Running away from mistakes wasn’t an option that was what her mother had taught her.
Especially when it came to alpha-omega matters.
Omegas, whether in heat or after being marked, became more vulnerable in both body and mind.
As an alpha, how could she not take responsibility?
“Silly girl. There’s nothing for you to compensate.” Song Yi patted her head. “I told you, I’m not blaming you.”
Ling Xi was thoroughly disoriented by the sweet words.
She turned to study Song Yi’s eyes.
“Are… are you drunk?” The tone just now was nothing like Song Yi’s usual self.
Ling Xi cautiously probed, trying to find any clues in Song Yi’s expression.
“You tell me?” So she thought she was drunk.
Fine. She did need an excuse to maintain some restraint in front of Ling Xi, to keep her from noticing anything unusual and bolting.
“Maybe your pheromones smell like red wine,” Song Yi continued teasing.
Ling Xi fell silent for two seconds.
She actually believed it.
“Then we’ll talk after you sober up.” Ling Xi stood, rummaged through the wardrobe, and pulled out a random coat to drape over Song Yi.
Did Ling Xi really not know what her own pheromones smelled like?
A flicker of amusement passed through Song Yi’s eyes before she lazily pulled the coat around herself, lying back to play along.
“Goodnight, little one.” Those words confirmed Ling Xi’s suspicions.
Ling Xi let out a sigh of relief.
She watched Song Yi for a while until the feverish heat rose within her again, then fled the bedroom like a startled rabbit. After changing her clothes, she went to clean up the mess in their living room.
She spent an hour tidying up, while Song Yi slept for an hour.
It was purely accidental. Song Yi hadn’t expected to be so exhausted she closed her eyes and fell asleep instantly.
When she woke again, she fastened the coat Ling Xi had given her earlier, adjusted her expression back to its usual cool indifference, and stepped out of the bedroom.
Ling Xi shot to her feet.
Song Yi glanced at her sidelong.
Without another word, she opened the door and walked straight out.
Ling Xi was stunned.
Had Song Yi sobered up? Was she angry?
Ling Xi swallowed hard.
She was genuinely worried for her own life.
Once things settled down, she absolutely had to get away from this dangerous omega.
Renting a small place would be enough. She could discuss it with her family once they returned.
A sudden sharp pain flared in her scent gland. Song Yi grabbed Ling Xi’s hand, and Ling Xi endured the tension of the moment, carefully infusing her precious pheromones into the gland at the back of Song Yi’s neck.
Who knew how long their recklessness lasted?
By the time Song Yi regained full awareness, it was already 5 p.m.
Ling Xi lay asleep beside her, far more exhausted and unable to wake.
A dull ache spread through Song Yi’s body.
She shuddered, waiting for the discomfort to fade, then turned her head and gently pressed a hand to Ling Xi’s forehead.
The fever had broken.
Being marked was hard to describe as either good or bad.
But since it was Ling Xi who did it, Song Yi only felt a strange sense of relief.
She got up to boil some water and frowned at the sight of the broken suppressants, her scattered prayer beads, and the tangled mess of their clothes.
What a chaotic day.
Absurd, yet impossibly beautiful.
As Song Yi gradually recalled the events, her ears burned.
She didn’t want to trigger another wave of disorientation, so she stopped herself.
When she returned to the bedroom, Ling Xi was awake.
Sitting dazedly on the bed, her eyes unfocused, utterly bewildered.
What… had she done earlier?
If she remembered correctly, the one who stayed with her was Song Yi, right?
Within five minutes, a soft knock sounded at the door before it was pushed open by a slender hand.
Ling Xi walked over and saw Song Yi leaning against the doorframe.
“You just accused me of being out of it earlier. Well, I’m not drunk now, and I’m perfectly clear-headed.”
Song Yi’s voice was as cool as ever, icy and detached, tempering the heat radiating from Ling Xi.
Ling Xi stared at her toes, slowly realizing that Song Yi had been teasing her with those drunken words.
“The compensation I want isn’t complicated. I just need you to help me through my heats from now on. You know suppressants have side effects using the same brand too often makes them ineffective, forcing frequent switches. It’s been bothering me for a while, and since you and I…”
Song Yi’s voice seemed to echo from the depths of Ling Xi’s heart.
“…had a night of passion.”
Countless images flashed through Ling Xi’s mind.
Her face flushed crimson, brows knitting as she lifted her gaze, embarrassed. “I’m sorry…”
“It’s fine. But I don’t want to involve anyone else, nor do I want another alpha handling my heats. Since you claimed you could do anything, sign this agreement.” Song Yi waved a sheet of paper.
Ling Xi took it and read the title: [Special Period Mutual Assistance Agreement]. The contents outlined that Party B (Ling Xi) would fulfill Party A’s (Song Yi) needs during heats, while Party A would provide corresponding support during Party B’s ruts.
