Chapter 102: Qiao Xi Thought They Were Going to…
Qiao Xi thought they were going to undress and get intimate the moment they walked in. The appearance of Shi Yi didn’t seem to help or harm her.
Shen Ya released her lips and turned on the light. Their lips still had wet traces. Qiao Xi’s face was flushed, and Shen Ya’s chest was slightly heaving, while Shi Yi was rubbing back and forth at their feet.
“Is Shi Yi hungry?”
Shen Ya lowered her gaze, “Perhaps.”
“Shall we feed Shi Yi first?”
Shen Ya nodded: “You go shower, I’ll feed her.”
Qiao Xi’s face immediately flushed. What did Shen Ya mean by this? It seemed the other person was truly in a hurry. Would Shen Ya use up that entire box of finger cots tonight? Were they going to be intimate all night again?
She took a sharp breath internally. She never thought Shen Ya had such good stamina! Now it seemed she was too weak. Should she sign up for a class at the gym?
While Qiao Xi was showering, Shen Ya not only put out cat food for Shi Yi but also opened a can. She played with Shi Yi with a feather wand for a while before returning to the room.
Qiao Xi hadn’t finished showering yet, but the room was already filled with the scent of roses.
Shen Ya took the box of finger cots from her pocket and placed it on the bedside table. She thought carefully about whether she had any unfinished work.
Bad news: There was indeed unfinished work.
Good news: It was all minor work.
In that case, she decided not to work overtime.
When Qiao Xi emerged, she saw Shen Ya leaning against the wall, looking down and using her phone. She was relieved that she had put on pajamas. Otherwise, being naked would be too awkward, making it seem like she was very impatient.
“Teacher Shen, I’m done showering.” As soon as she said it, Qiao Xi wanted to slap her mouth. What did that sentence mean? It sounded like she was hinting at Shen Ya, but even if she didn’t hint, Shen Ya would still do something to her later, right?
Shen Ya looked up, gazing at Qiao Xi, who had just come out of the bathroom with a few water droplets still clinging to her skin. She put away her phone and walked over, habitually raising her hand to touch Qiao Xi’s face.
Qiao Xi’s skin was very smooth and felt wonderful to the touch. Whenever Shen Ya touched Qiao Xi, Qiao Xi would look up at her, motionless, so obedient that it made her want to kiss her fiercely.
Shen Ya did lean down. She cupped Qiao Xi’s face, left a kiss mark on the corner of her lips, and gently patted Qiao Xi’s face, telling her: “I’m going to shower.”
Qiao Xi blinked her eyes, “Mm.”
She thought, Was Shen Ya telling me something? After Shen Ya showers, they will do ‘that’ thing, right? Will Shen Ya be pressed tightly against me tonight, grinding together…
Stop thinking! Qiao Xi felt like her brain was about to catch fire. She lowered her head, bypassed Shen Ya, climbed back into bed, and stuffed herself under the covers.
Shen Ya didn’t overthink it, only assuming Qiao Xi’s face was flushed because she had just showered.
Qiao Xi lay in bed, the quilt over her head. Hearing the sound of the bathroom door closing, she poked her head out from under the quilt. She was so embarrassed just now! If Shen Ya knew what she thought about every night, she would probably be laughed at to death.
She sighed, hugged the quilt, and turned over. The silver-glowing small box instantly caught her attention. If she hadn’t guessed wrong, this was the box of finger cots Zhou Ziqian had given Shen Ya earlier.
Shen Ya actually placed the finger cots in such an obvious position!
Was this a reminder to her?!
Would Shen Ya use this box of finger cots to do those things to her later? Speaking of which, she had only seen pictures of finger cots online and only heard about the experience from others, but she didn’t know how it actually felt.
Oh, right, I have drawn them before when painting, but that was all based on imagination. Maybe I should pick it up now and take a closer look?
Qiao Xi wiggled like a worm to the other side of the bed. She quickly grabbed the finger cots from the bedside table. It was a small black square box, just the size of her palm. The front had an incomprehensible image, but the back read: Granular Finger Cots (Hyaluronic Acid model).
Just looking at the words made her legs under the quilt squeeze together. Afraid of being caught by Shen Ya, she didn’t dare to look further. She quickly put the item back in its original position and returned to where she was lying earlier.
When Shen Ya came out, she saw Qiao Xi still curled up under the quilt. As Shen Ya moved, water droplets from her hair landed on her shoulder. Shen Ya didn’t pay attention. As she sat on the bed, she removed her hair clip. Her long hair cascaded down like a waterfall. With just a slight lift of her hair with her fingertips, an alluring scent of roses wafted out.
Qiao Xi tensed up, not daring to move under the quilt. The moment Shen Ya came out of the bathroom, her heart jumped into her throat. Feeling the bed slightly dip, she held her breath in nervousness.
Is it coming? Where will Teacher Shen start kissing her tonight? Will she be as aggressive as last night? Should I be more proactive when we kiss later?
While Qiao Xi’s mind raced, Shen Ya turned off the light in the room. She had no intention of doing anything with Qiao Xi tonight. After all, they had been intimate almost all night yesterday, and she was genuinely tired after a full day of classes today. Furthermore, seeing Qiao Xi constantly hiding under the quilt, she guessed Qiao Xi didn’t want to either.
Shen Ya thought they should just get a good night’s sleep tonight. Anyway, there were still a few days before Qiao Xi started school. They didn’t need to be so intense every night. She also worried Qiao Xi might think she was too uninhibited.
But a goodnight kiss was still necessary.
Shen Ya adjusted her hair. After confirming that the ends of her hair weren’t too wet, she lay down. She moved closer to Qiao Xi, reaching out and pulling Qiao Xi into her arms as usual. She wasn’t sure if it was her imagination, but Qiao Xi’s body felt tense. Was she afraid Shen Ya would do something?
But Qiao Xi was still obedient and cooperated with her. Qiao Xi, who was lying flat, rolled over to face her when she felt her movements.
Shen Ya lowered her head, found the red lips, and pressed onto them. The rich rose scent merged with Shen Ya’s tenderness, instantly immersing Qiao Xi in a sea of roses.
Just as Qiao Xi was anticipating the next step, Shen Ya let go of her lips and gently said: “Sleep. Good night.”
Qiao Xi: ?
The air seemed to freeze. No, to be precise, Shen Ya made no further movements. Qiao Xi initially thought she misheard, believing it was another one of Shen Ya’s little tricks, but she waited for a long time and still didn’t get any further action from Shen Ya.
So Shen Ya didn’t intend to do anything tonight?!
Then why did she place the finger cots in such an obvious spot, and why did she immediately tell her to shower the moment they got back!
If Shen Ya wasn’t going to do anything, what was the meaning of all her wild thoughts just now!
Qiao Xi’s face was burning red, but being held in Shen Ya’s arms, no one discovered her embarrassment. Shame and awkwardness flooded her heart. What was I thinking just now? How could my mind be full of such indecent images?
Fortunately, she didn’t say it out loud. Fortunately, Shen Ya couldn’t read her mind. But after all the mental preparation Qiao Xi had done, her blood was already boiling, and she couldn’t bring herself to open her mouth and ask Shen Ya.
Qiao Xi was on the verge of tears. Smelling Shen Ya’s scent, her body was restless. It’s all Shen Ya’s fault, all Zhou Ziqian’s fault, and all Fang Moyao’s fault!
Teacher Shen is truly a detestable jerk!
Qiao Xi didn’t know how she fell asleep last night. She only knew she had nightmares all night. In her dream, her body was tied with chains to a mountain of fire. She became a lamb about to be roasted, waiting for someone to descend from the sky and bring her sweet relief.
Unfortunately, she waited all night until Shen Ya’s alarm clock woke her up.
Shen Ya’s mental state had recovered a lot after a full night’s sleep. As usual, she wanted to kiss Qiao Xi before leaving for work as a good morning kiss, but the moment she leaned over, Qiao Xi turned over, presenting her back to Shen Ya.
“Hmm?” Shen Ya made a questioning sound. Was Qiao Xi asleep? She was clearly awake just now. Was she too sleepy and didn’t want to be disturbed?
Shen Ya guessed this was likely the case, so she only raised her hand and stroked Qiao Xi’s cheek: “I’m going to work. Sleep more if you’re tired. What do you want to eat tonight? Tell me when you wake up. We can eat out, or you can wait for me to come back and cook.”
Qiao Xi didn’t utter a word. Shen Ya only assumed Qiao Xi had fallen asleep again. She didn’t disturb her further and quietly left the room.
As soon as Shen Ya was gone, Qiao Xi sat up with two huge dark circles under her eyes. Her first action was to throw the box of finger cots into the trash can. Then, she picked up her phone and scheduled a timed post on her moments.
After finishing these tasks, Qiao Xi got out of bed, preparing to wash up and return to her mothers’ house. She couldn’t stand staying here for another second!
If Shen Ya continued to “torture” her mentally like this every night, she would go crazy sooner or later. No, she had to leave! She was truly going to be infuriated to death by Shen Ya, this icy block of wood!
Qiao Xi didn’t have much to pack. If she could, she would have packed up Shi Yi and taken her home, leaving Shen Ya alone to reflect properly. Unfortunately, Pangpang was at home, so for Shi Yi’s safety, she could only leave her behind.
She would never admit that she was actually afraid Shen Ya would overthink it or feel lonely.
When Qiao Xi returned home, she coincidentally ran into her two mothers, who were just coming back from walking the dog. The three stared at each other, and the atmosphere was awkward for a moment.
“Xiao Xi?” Jiang Zhiqing broke the silence: “Aren’t you with Xiao Shen?”
“Yes, but I thought about it last night and felt I should come back to spend time with Mom and Mommy. I went to see Fang Moyao yesterday and confirmed that we’ll have dinner together tomorrow.”
Qin Yunxin: “Dinner tomorrow?”
“Mm, I haven’t had time to tell Mom and Mommy yet since it’s still early. So I plan to stay home tonight and go with Mom and Mommy tomorrow.”
Jiang Zhiqing took off Pangpang’s harness: “That’s good.” The two elders didn’t suspect anything. “Did you eat? Go wash your hands. Mommy will take you out for morning tea.”
Qiao Xi sighed in relief. It was a good thing she came up with a justifiable reason. Otherwise, it would be difficult to explain why she came home even though she had permission to stay away. She couldn’t possibly tell her mothers that she was angry because Shen Ya was a block of wood and didn’t satisfy her, could she?
Even if her mothers were easygoing and open-minded, they probably didn’t expect her and Shen Ya to be having intimate relations so quickly.
Shen Ya, unaware that Qiao Xi had left, was teaching a class. During the break, she sent a message to Qiao Xi: [Xiao Xi, call me back when you wake up. What do you want to eat tonight? My cooking or eating out?]
Shen Ya didn’t receive a reply. She thought Qiao Xi hadn’t gotten up yet. After all, Qiao Xi usually slept until close to her own finishing time these days, so she didn’t worry about it.
It wasn’t until after her meeting, when it was already dark outside, that her phone remained silent. Qiao Xi hadn’t contacted her all day. Shen Ya realized something was wrong. After leaving work, she started calling Qiao Xi, but the call was hung up after only three rings.
Qiao Xi hung up on me?
Shen Ya thought Qiao Xi made a mistake, so she called again, but this time she couldn’t deceive herself.
On the way home, Shen Ya was restless, her face chillingly cold. Everything was fine last night. Why would Qiao Xi suddenly ignore her? What did she do to make Qiao Xi angry?
The whole way, she thought and recalled. She meticulously reviewed everything that happened yesterday in her mind, but she couldn’t find any mistake.
Shen Ya returned home, and Qiao Xi’s shoes from yesterday were indeed gone. She hurried back to the room to check. The quilt wasn’t folded, just as it was when Qiao Xi got up, as if the other person had just gotten out of bed. None of Qiao Xi’s things were missing. Everything looked normal, so Qiao Xi had just left?
She stood at the foot of the bed and took out her phone. Qiao Xi still hadn’t sent her any messages. She clicked into Qiao Xi’s moments and found a message posted an hour ago: [I hate wooden blocks.]
Wooden block?
What did this mean?
She had initially planned to ask Qiao Xi’s mother if Qiao Xi had returned home, but she was afraid the elders would get angry if they knew they were having a fight. The biggest problem was that she didn’t even know why Qiao Xi was angry.
Shen Ya browsed through her contacts and finally called Zhou Ziqian.
“Boss Shen, is something wrong?” Zhou Ziqian was in a meeting and didn’t intend to answer, but seeing the call was from her sister-in-law’s partner, her eyes lit up immediately. She found an excuse and slipped out to take the call.
Shen Ya knew that as soon as she asked, she wouldn’t be able to escape being laughed at, but she had no choice: “I have a question for you.”
“What question? Boss Shen, feel free to ask. I will tell you everything I know.”
“I want to ask, what does the post Qiao Xi made an hour ago mean?”
“Moments?” Zhou Ziqian truly hadn’t had time to check. “Wait a moment. Let me see.” She moved the phone away from her ear and clicked into Qiao Xi’s moments. “Eh? Boss Shen, are you sure Little Sister Xi posted something an hour ago?”
“Yes, I’m sure.” Shen Ya suddenly realized something: “So you can’t see it?”
“I can’t see it. It looks like Little Sister Xi’s post was specifically for you.” Zhou Ziqian sniffed out the gossip. “Tell me, what happened between you two in just one night?”
“Nothing happened.”
“Nothing happened?” Zhou Ziqian asked: “Then you didn’t use the item I gave you last night? Or was it no good? Did Little Sister Xi dislike it? Tsk, tsk, tsk, Boss Shen, I have… beep beep beep…”
“Tsk.” Looking at the hung-up call, Zhou Ziqian shook her head. She wouldn’t let go of this gossip today. She had to find a way to get information from Qiao Xi.
Shen Ya rubbed her temples. If Qiao Xi had only thrown away the finger cots, she might have thought Qiao Xi simply disliked such items and felt offended. But the four words in the moments post overturned that idea.
Perhaps the finger cots she casually left on the bedside table caused a misunderstanding for Qiao Xi, and she hadn’t noticed it last night. Qiao Xi was full of anticipation, and she poured cold water on her instead. No wonder Qiao Xi was angry.
