Savage Kiss - Chapter 50
Shen Yanzhou knew her usual waking hours, if she wasn’t pulling an all-nighter, she’d be up by noon for lunch. She thought he’d come over around that time.
But by 12:30, there was still no sign of him.
Xu Qingyi wasn’t one to beat around the bush. She took the initiative and called him, her invitation clear in her tone: “Busy?”
Shen Yanzhou’s voice carried a hint of helplessness. “An urgent matter came up. I’m not in town today and might not make it back.”
Oh, so it sounded like he was on a business trip.
That was a bit of a letdown.
Xu Qingyi responded with an “Oh,” then said, “Go ahead with your work.”
“You…” Shen Yanzhou fell silent briefly.
She replied, “I’m free today… Never mind, don’t worry about me.”
With that, she hung up first.
All that preparation for half the morning, and for the first time, she had felt both nervous and expectant.
After ending the call, she got up and headed to her workshop.
No man to spend time with? Fine, work it was.
The small movement Shen Yanzhou had helped her refine was truly excellent, he’d even left notes on the details for her.
Her main tasks now were assembly and compiling data records to streamline production.
Once she got into work mode, time slipped away unnoticed. She entered the workshop around one, and by the time she felt hungry, it was already seven.
She stepped out, grabbed a quick bite of bread, and decided to unwind with some gaming.
The moment she logged in, she saw that Shi Qing had sent her a flood of gifts, the first page of her notifications was entirely filled with alerts about his presents.
Was he insane?
If he had that kind of generosity, why not just pay her directly to play with him?
He had sent her every single skin released recently, making up for all the ones Mi Lian hadn’t gifted.
Xu Qingyi exited the game and messaged him on WeChat: [You coming?]
Shi Qing replied almost instantly: [Right away]
Once they were in the game lobby, Shi Qing wasn’t as chatty as usual, opting to communicate via text instead: [I thought you were mad at me these past few days.]
Xu Qingyi: [?]
Why would she be mad?
Shi Qing said: [Glad you’re not. I was afraid you didn’t like that side gig and blamed me for it.]
Xu Qingyi laughed: [Loved it.]
Many art students came from well-off families, easy money, light workload, and a chance to mingle in different social circles. Of course she liked it.
Shi Qing might have been overthinking things. Seeing her type “loved” made him sensitive, even if the object of her affection wasn’t him.
He hadn’t dared to reach out these past few days, afraid she’d find out he was one of the students.
Being painted by a group of strangers was one thing, but being painted by someone she knew? That was entirely different.
For Shi Qing, painting unfamiliar models was a purely professional task, but painting her? His blood pressure skyrocketed.
Once the game started, Xu Qingyi turned on voice chat and said to Shi Qing, “My hands are tired today. Don’t feel like typing, let’s use voice.”
Shi Qing still replied via text: [Okay.]
Xu Qingyi was fully focused on the game, about to destroy the enemy’s nexus for the win, when she faintly heard the doorbell.
Puzzled, she walked toward the door, phone in hand, still dominating the game.
The moment “Victory!” flashed across her screen, she reached the entrance.
Peering through the peephole, she saw Shen Yanzhou. Her heart skipped a beat, and without thinking, she opened the door.
“I thought you weren’t-” She cut herself off before the word “coming” escaped, suddenly remembering her in-game voice chat was still on. Shi Qing could hear everything.
She immediately fell silent.
“Missed me?” Shen Yanzhou closed the door behind him and kissed her without hesitation.
Originally, he hadn’t been able to make it today, but he had pushed through what seemed like an impossible workload. Call it lust clouding his judgment.
Xu Qingyi was caught completely off guard, her heartbeat skyrocketing. She wanted to turn off the team voice chat, but the button was tiny, and as she was being kissed and pushed back, she couldn’t tap it accurately.
Just then, she heard Shi Qing ask suspiciously, “Who’s talking?”
“Is that on your end?”
“Are you outside?”
With her other hand, Xu Qingyi hurriedly pushed Shen Yanzhou away.
Shen Yanzhou pulled back, asking, “Angry?”
In that split second, she swiftly managed to turn off the voice chat.
Of course, Shen Yanzhou had heard the person on the other end speak, three questions in a row.
He glanced sideways at the phone screen, spotting the avatar of the person she was teamed up with. “Changed couples again?”
It wasn’t the same couple avatar she had used when playing with Liang Fanglin last time.
“Shi Qing,” she exited the game, “not a couple. He’s my golden goose.”
Xu Qingyi quickly messaged Shi Qing on WeChat, saying she had something to attend to and couldn’t play anymore today.
Then her phone was taken by Shen Yanzhou and set aside as he tangled with her in another kiss, asking between breaths, “Have you eaten?”
“Not hungry,” she tilted her face up, initiating the kiss herself.
A hint of amusement flickered at the corners of Shen Yanzhou’s eyes, the worries from earlier in the day completely dissipating.
“No matter how urgent things are, you still need to eat.”
Being called out so directly still made her a little embarrassed. Xu Qingyi thought for a moment. “You haven’t eaten?”
“Then go eat something first. There’s plenty in the fridge, pick whatever you like. I’ll… go get ready.”
Shen Yanzhou smirked slightly, not yet realizing the scale of today’s preparations.
As she reached the bedroom door, she turned back to ask, “Do you want to shower?”
Shen Yanzhou’s faint smirk was his silent agreement.
Xu Qingyi went to arrange his toiletries in an obvious spot before gathering paints and other supplies.
While Shen Yanzhou ate and then showered, she began prepping herself.
By the time he stepped out of the shower, Xu Qingyi was on the balcony, wrapped in a long robe buttoned all the way up, two glasses of red wine set before her.
When Shen Yanzhou approached, he teased with a mischievous glint, “Dressed so modestly?”
She smiled. “Care for a drink?”
He reached for the glass, but she suddenly dodged, taking a sip herself before kissing him.
Xu Qingyi kept it simple, just a kiss and shared sips of wine.
But Shen Yanzhou clearly couldn’t handle her teasing. After all, he’d never experienced anything like this before.
When he tried to deepen the kiss, she dodged as nimbly as a rabbit. “Don’t you want to know what I’m wearing underneath?”
He did, which only made him more impatient.
But he could also tell she was in high spirits today, wanting to draw things out.
Shen Yanzhou sat back on the soft white rug, leaning slightly as he steadied his breathing, letting her press closer for another kiss.
Their kisses always escalated to white-hot intensity in no time.
The robe draped over Xu Qingyi was soon discarded.
When Shen Yanzhou saw the mesh bodysuit beneath, his blood surged violently, his throat tightening with desire.
The one-piece mesh suit, worn alone, left her beauty both concealed and utterly exposed, a tantalizing tease that could drive a man mad.
His kisses grew erratic, his voice rough. “Just how many treasures do you have?”
Xu Qingyi had discovered this outfit while working on an ad shoot at a studio. As for buying it? It was entirely for Shen Yanzhou’s sake, to coax him into posing as her nude model.
She chuckled softly. “You’ll find out in time. There’s plenty to uncover.”
She didn’t have much else, but in her line of work, the variety and styles of such items could easily expand the average person’s knowledge of sexuality.
Just as Shen Yanzhou was growing impatient, Xu Qingyi deliberately slowed her pace, gently pushing him away. “Should I stand up and let you see from a distance?”
Shen Yanzhou had lived twenty-five years without ever getting a nosebleed from something like this, today, he felt like he might just meet his end right here.
