- Chapter 94 - If I had met you earlier, it would still have been love at first sight
Xie Jingcheng pushed open the main door. Although the house hadn’t been lived in for a long time, it was spacious and bright, and had clearly been tidied up recently.
The lawn was neatly trimmed, and the entrance path was smooth and simple, without any unnecessary extravagance.
“I had made preparations before, thinking that commuting to the filming location from the hotel would be too much of a waste of time. But then I put it off. If my assistant hadn’t reminded me, I would have forgotten I had this house here.”
This was the pleasant surprise Xie Jingcheng had discovered a few days ago. She only found out about this house after it had been renovated and left vacant for a period.
However, because of this, life gained an unexpected delight.
Song Qingxing hadn’t expected to find such an exquisite small Western-style house in such a secluded area. She couldn’t help but think that the wealthy really knew how to enjoy themselves.
The two walked into the interior. The rooms were as luxurious as she had imagined.
But it wasn’t the kind of nouveau riche style where furniture was crammed everywhere. On the contrary, it was very simple and clear.
“Do you like it?” Xie Jingcheng asked with blinking eyes.
Song Qingxing quite liked it, so she nodded. “This is much more private than a hotel.”
Initially, she thought Xie Jingcheng had some weird hobby, wanting to experience a stay in a cramped little inn.
It turned out the other party was simply thinking about a more comfortable life for the two of them. Song Qingxing felt a little ashamed of her initial thought.
“I think so too.”
Xie Jingcheng reached out and held Song Qingxing’s wrist, leading her all the way to the second floor. She had an even bigger surprise—though this surprise was probably prepared for herself.
The second floor contained the bedroom. Pushing open the heavy wooden door, the first thing in sight was a soft, large bed. The white duvet was like a cloud, soft and bouncy to lie on.
Xie Jingcheng walked over to a nearby table, where several outfits were folded. Song Qingxing looked closely and realized it was the uniform of a private aristocratic academy.
The student’s name, Xie Jingcheng, was embroidered in strong, vigorous characters on the right side of the uniform. Although it was machine embroidery, the thread used was clearly expensive.
“What are you doing?” Song Qingxing vaguely understood what the other person wanted.
She had worn this suit jacket and pleated skirt outfit plenty of times while acting, but wearing it at her age when not acting felt a bit… strange.
“I wanted to see you in this outfit when we were filming, but the damn male lead always got the privilege.” Xie Jingcheng had always been reserved; many of her desires were latent. She wouldn’t express them, but when the time was right, she would slowly reveal her wicked side.
“But this is your high school uniform. I probably can’t fit into it,” Song Qingxing said, full of doubt.
“I’m taller than you, and I had someone alter it. You can fit into it.”
Song Qingxing pressed her lips together. Heavens! If this person wasn’t her sugar mommy, she would definitely call her a pervert with a twisted hobby.
“Does it have to be this way?” Song Qingxing blinked her innocent eyes, seeming reluctant.
Xie Jingcheng noticed the look of embarrassment and knew she was pushing too hard, so she politely stepped back. At this moment, she resembled a refined lady.
Her privileged upbringing meant that even when Xie Jingcheng strongly desired something, she would maintain reserve and self-control.
“If you don’t want to, of course, I won’t force you,” Xie Jingcheng stated truthfully.
She then reached out, seemingly preparing to take the uniform away, but the hint of sadness in her eyes was like a dark cloud that wouldn’t dissipate.
Song Qingxing gasped internally. Damn it! How could Xie Jingcheng look at her like that?
It made her heart melt.
So, just as Xie Jingcheng was about to put the clothes back into the wardrobe, Song Qingxing finally reached out and grabbed the edge of her clothes.
“If you… if you want to see it… I can try it.” Saying this felt as heavy as a thousand pounds on her lips.
Xie Jingcheng’s eyes immediately lit up like stars. Yet, she couldn’t help but smile inwardly, thinking Song Qingxing was indeed a novice who had just started learning acting, so easily fooled by her.
Although using deception on one’s wife wasn’t entirely right, she really, really wanted to see her wear the uniform she once wore!
Song Qingxing was too shy and even went to the bathroom to change. After much delay, she finally emerged in the aristocratic academy uniform.
Honestly, even though it was an old garment, the uniform only had a faint woody scent, suggesting it had been stored in an excellent wardrobe.
There was no trace of mildew, only a faint clean fragrance.
The fabric was soft, without any roughness or pilling. It wasn’t as loose and baggy as sportswear when worn. Instead, it was form-fitting, but not overly concerned with contours like Korean style clothing, which might strain the seams with slightly bigger movements.
The design of this uniform made it comfortable and allowed for a full range of motion.
But the skirt was… a little too short!
She didn’t need to guess; someone had definitely shortened it herself.
Song Qingxing took a deep breath, telling herself there was nothing to be ashamed of. Hadn’t she worn nearly transparent clothes before?
So, she pushed open the bathroom door.
The entire bedroom was dim; Xie Jingcheng had drawn the curtains. She stood nearby, watching the little bunny emerge from the bathroom one step at a time.
Her fair, long legs, and the way she kept her head down, not daring to look at her.
“Look up.” Xie Jingcheng called out, and only then did she see Song Qingxing’s flushed face. The other woman still had her head turned away, afraid to meet her gaze.
This kind of youthful and pure look made Xie Jingcheng’s heart almost stop. She felt as though she was seeing Song Qingxing from many years ago.
Unable to suppress her excitement, she took a step forward and pulled her into a hug.
“I’ve always thought that if I had met you much earlier, it would still have been love at first sight.” Even if the seed of romantic love hadn’t yet sprouted in her heart back then, Xie Jingcheng genuinely liked Song Qingxing’s appearance.
When made up, her features were more striking. But once the makeup was off, she was incredibly pure.
“Oh, please. If you had dated back then, your parents would have broken your legs,” Song Qingxing teased.
“Qingxing, my parents aren’t stuffy.”
“They were just afraid I was too naive back then and would be played with emotionally.” Xie Jingcheng smiled, then leaned in closer.
“Can this count as my reward this time?” Although she hadn’t done anything worthy of a reward yet, surely asking for a ‘loaned’ reward was okay.
“Think whatever you want.”
“But you can’t get angry willy-nilly next time.” Song Qingxing couldn’t help but set a condition.
“Mhm.”
“And you can’t get jealous and lose your temper just because you see me with a man.”
“It makes you look like a jealous woman in the deep palace.”
Xie Jingcheng still nodded obediently. “I will try my best to control it, but if I sometimes can’t, don’t blame me.”
After all, she was a pampered young lady who had had a smooth life since childhood. In fact, Xie Jingcheng already considered herself extremely disciplined, not nearly as badly behaved as An Wenqing.
