Yu Ting, born in the slums, rose to become the First General of the Federal Empire thanks to his exceptional combat skills and visionary theories on mecha manufacturing. However, during a mission through a wormhole, his starship’s signal was lost, and he unexpectedly found himself on a planet called Earth.
With no identification and no academic credentials, Yu Ting relied on his outstanding mecha repair skills to become an auto mechanic at a car repair shop!
As he gradually learned about Earth, he finally realized he had traveled back thousands of years in time. While adapting to his new life, he kept returning to the landfill where he crashed, searching for the case that could take him back home.
One night, after getting drunk, Yu Ting told stories of his battles against the Zerg. When he woke up, he was met with strange looks from others.
“Does Yu Ting have some issues with his brain?”
“Who would’ve thought such a handsome guy would be a bit… not all there.”
“Good looks but no brains—that’s how it is. Otherwise, why would he always be digging through trash?”
Yu Ting: Furious, yet unable to refute it.
On a rainy night, Yu Ting went to the landfill again. He didn’t find the case, but he discovered a homeless little boy.
The two relied on each other for survival. Yu Ting gave the boy a name—Yu Dengdeng.
His son was adorable, but Yu Ting began to suspect something was wrong with the boy’s mind—he actually fantasized about being an octopus!
Yu Dengdeng had a secret. He wasn’t human. He was an octopus prince with eight tentacles who had accidentally traveled from ten thousand years in future. Unfortunately, he was a prince in distress, without any territory, and could only live with his human father in a car repair shop.
Although his father had mental problems, Yu Dengdeng never looked down on him and constantly made grand promises.
“Dad, if you come with me, I’ll give you the biggest territory.”
“Even though Dad doesn’t have tentacles, he’s still quite handsome. He’ll definitely be popular on Octopus Planet.”
“Dad’s mental illness has gotten worse.”
Today, Yu Ting / Yu Dengdeng: Sigh, another worrying day.
Everyone in the neighborhood knew that the father and son suffered from delusions, but because Yu Ting was handsome and Yu Dengdeng was cute, the two were very popular with the neighbors. Until one day, two spaceships arrived on Earth and broadcast: one was to pick up General Yu Ting of the Empire, and the other was to pick up the lost Octopus Prince.
They then realized… it seemed they weren’t lying after all.
After hearing the broadcast,
Yu Dengdeng asked, ‘Dad, my mecha… can it really be made?”
Yu Ting replied, “Let me see the tentacles first.”
