- Chapter 61 - My Ancestor, I Beg You
Xu Wanxing squinted, looking closely, and after a moment, gave his answer, “Three.”
“You’re drunk. I didn’t even put up any fingers. That’s zero,” Lin Yao said, laughing heartily.
Xu Wanxing muttered that he wasn’t drunk and reached out to grab Lin Yao’s hand.
Lin Yao didn’t pull away, allowing Xu Wanxing to hold his hand. “Little drunken cat, what do you want?”
Xu Wanxing thought for a moment and said, “Thank you for giving me 500,000 Yuan to save my grandmother. You are a good person.”
Lin Yao was momentarily stunned, staring intently at Xu Wanxing’s hazy, drunken eyes.
A good person?
It was the first time anyone had described him that way, and it felt rather special.
“I’m a good person, so are you a bad person? You not only didn’t pay back the money but also ran into my bed to seduce me,” Lin Yao asked.
The next second, Xu Wanxing’s incredibly bright eyes welled up with tears. He looked at Lin Yao pitifully. “I’m sorry, I really didn’t have the money then. I didn’t mean to seduce you.”
Facing those extremely bright, clear eyes, Lin Yao’s heart trembled, and his gaze shifted away. “It wasn’t intentional?”
Xu Wanxing shook Lin Yao’s hand, his tone soft. “Yes, and you’re a good person.”
Tsk.
There it was again.
Lin Yao shook the wine glass on the table with his other hand. “Since I’m a good person, why don’t you like me, and instead go provoke those other people? You know those people are fiercer tigers, leopards, and wolves than me.”
Xu Wanxing’s alcohol-addled brain struggled to process the information in Lin Yao’s sentence. “Like you?”
Lin Yao nodded instinctively, his seductive fox eyes curving into a slight arc.
“You don’t like me, so why should I like you?” Xu Wanxing grumbled unhappily.
Lin Yao was stunned, then irritably grabbed Xu Wanxing’s cheek.
“They don’t like you that much either, so why do you like them?”
Xu Wanxing’s eyes were teary. He reached out to push Lin Yao. “My face hurts. Be gentle. Don’t pinch me.”
Lin Yao then realized he had lost his composure. He quickly let go, glancing uncomfortably at the tabletop. Hearing no sound beside him, Lin Yao turned to look.
Xu Wanxing was crying. The cheek he had just pinched was red and swollen, as if he had been abused. Large, crystalline tears fell from the corners of his eyes.
Lin Yao’s heart suddenly melted. He reached out to wipe the tears, but they felt scalding. He softened his voice. “Stop crying. Please, stop crying. It’s all my fault.”
Xu Wanxing didn’t stop; instead, he cried even harder.
Lin Yao said, “My ancestor, please stop crying. I’ll give you extra money, okay? I’ll give you 100,000 Yuan today. Will you stop crying?”
Xu Wanxing’s eyes immediately brightened. He sniffled and asked, “Will you really give me 100,000 Yuan?”
Seeing the person in front of him completely focused on the money, Lin Yao reluctantly said, “Of course, of course. I’m not lying to you.”
“Then let’s pinky swear—a hundred years, no changing.”
Lin Yao: “…Fine.”
After linking pinky fingers, Xu Wanxing’s eyes were curved and full of smiles. Lin Yao laughed mockingly. “Did you trick me? Xu Wanxing, you’re only after my money, aren’t you?”
Xu Wanxing nodded.
Lin Yao thought for a moment and asked, “Why do you like Lu Yanbai?”
Xu Wanxing: “Because he has money. I’m a gold-digger.”
Xu Wanxing went to the restroom. Lin Yao, sitting at the table, wore a profound expression, a hint of slyness flashing in his fox eyes.
Money? He had plenty of that.
Xu Wanxing chasing money might as well be with him. He had a good temper and was generous, handsome, and fit. In what way was he not better than Lu Yanbai?
In the restroom, Xu Wanxing’s vision was turning gray, and his steps were unsteady. His head was terribly dizzy.
Xu Wanxing supported himself on the edge of the sink, looking at his blurred reflection in the mirror. Why did it seem like someone was walking toward him from behind?
Xu Wanxing turned his head in confusion. The next moment, he was slammed against the sink, his waist striking hard against the sink’s rigid edge.
Xu Wanxing let out a painful groan, tears stinging his eyes.
“Who are you? Get away.”
The Alpha, who had been drinking, was surprised to see such a beautiful Omega in the restroom.
He had come to the bar for a few drinks and a hookup. He didn’t expect to run into such a prize. He was lucky.
“Sweetheart, why don’t you come with me tonight?” The Alpha’s hand was extremely inappropriate, touching Xu Wanxing’s face twice.
“Why is there a red mark on your face? Whatever, you’re still pretty. Little beauty, come with me.”
The Alpha reached out to drag Xu Wanxing. Xu Wanxing pushed him a few times, but the internal softness from the alcohol left him with little strength.
Xu Wanxing called out Lu Yanbai’s name, his hand clutching the edge of the sink, refusing to follow the Alpha.
Many people who came to the restroom were startled by the scene, but after being glared at fiercely and coldly by the Alpha, they quickly walked away in embarrassment.
This couldn’t go on. The Alpha fumbled in his pocket, pulled out a pill, and stuffed it into Xu Wanxing’s mouth.
“Sweetheart, take this and come with me, won’t you?”
Xu Wanxing pushed the pill with his tongue, but it dissolved the moment it entered his mouth, making his tongue tingle with bitterness.
Clutching the cold, hard sink, Xu Wanxing barely regained a fraction of his consciousness, looking at the Alpha with fear.
He had told Lu Yanbai he was coming to the bar, and Lu Yanbai, concerned, had promised to pick him up.
But the time he had given was much later than now. Lu Yanbai probably hadn’t arrived yet.
Xu Wanxing struggled desperately, his eyes filled with despair, shouting Lu Yanbai’s name.
Even without hope, he wished for Lu Yanbai to appear suddenly, just like when they first met.
The hand clutching the sink was gradually losing strength. The Alpha was pulling him harder, but Xu Wanxing turned his head away to avoid the Alpha’s foul breath.
“Get lost! I don’t like you!”
The Alpha smiled instead of getting angry. “Sweetheart, what does it matter if you don’t like me? You’ll still be mine tonight, won’t you? Come with me. I’ll go easy on you.”
The Alpha’s pungent scent rushed toward him. Xu Wanxing struggled to hold his breath.
That pill was tainted!
His body grew softer and weaker. He felt like he was on fire, terribly hot from the heat.
Flashes of white light crossed his vision. He couldn’t even see people clearly. He stared dizzily at the Alpha, a wave of misery welling up in his heart.
His hand had lost all strength and could no longer grip the sink. Xu Wanxing closed his eyes, his heart feeling completely bleak.
Why wouldn’t anyone save him?
Xu Wanxing’s hand finally dropped from the sink. He bit his lip hard, knowing that the next second, he would be dragged into the embrace of that foul-smelling Alpha.
The Alpha’s hand was also pulling hard—no, why did the force seem suddenly too weak?
Huh? Why did the Alpha’s hand let go?
A change of heart?
Impossible!
Xu Wanxing opened his eyes to see what was happening. To his surprise, the Alpha’s face was contorted in pain. The hand that had been gripping him was now clutching his head, howling in agony.
