Xu Wanxing pointed at his phone. “But I’m going to this shop to buy something. Why don’t you head back first?”

Lin Yao smiled. “I’ll go with you.”

Lu Yanbai glanced at the shopping bags he took from Xu Wanxing’s hand, then at the two cups of milk tea in Lin Yao’s hand.

He held up the shopping bags, asking through gritted teeth, “Baby, did he buy all this for you?”

Xu Wanxing looked surprised. “Hubby, how did you know? You’re so smart!”

Lu Yanbai’s face darkened. “These are clothes, right? If Baby needs clothes, you can tell me, and I’ll buy them. How can you let other men spend money on Baby?”

Lin Yao stepped forward a few paces, challenging Lu Yanbai: “I’m happy to buy them for him. Is that a problem? These are all little dresses that Xu Wanxing likes.”

“Little dresses?” Lu Yanbai’s face was grim. His eyes scanned the two cups of milk tea in Lin Yao’s hand and noticed the identical teeth marks on the straws.

Xu Wanxing always liked to bite the straw when drinking milk tea.

Lu Yanbai asked, “Baby, did you drink from both of these?”

Xu Wanxing nodded. “Hubby, do you want some too? Come on, I’ll take you to buy one.”

“No, I want the one you drank from,” Lu Yanbai said, intently watching Lin Yao’s reaction.

Xu Wanxing took the two cups of milk tea from Lin Yao’s hand, selected one, and held it to Lu Yanbai’s mouth.

“Drink this one. It tastes better than the other.”

Lu Yanbai didn’t drink right away, instead remarking meaningfully, “He hasn’t touched this cup, right?”

“No, I drank from both of these. He doesn’t drink milk tea,” Xu Wanxing replied.

Lu Yanbai immediately felt relieved, the tension in his brows softening considerably. He looked at Lin Yao and said, “How much did my Baby spend on you? I’ll transfer it to you.”

“No need, it was my pleasure,” Lin Yao said, clipping the two panda ears onto his hair. He looked at Xu Wanxing. “I’m wearing the gift you gave me. Do I look good?”

Xu Wanxing: Hilarious.

Lin Yao was dazzlingly beautiful, not to mention his pair of captivating, seductive fox eyes. Yet, he was wearing a ridiculous pair of round, soft, plush panda ears.

It was genuinely funny—the forced juxtaposition of two extremely different styles.

Seeing the two of them sweet-talking intimately, Lin Yao left a hasty “Goodbye” and stormed off, his eyes turning red with anger.

Xu Wanxing quickly finished the two cups of milk tea, took the fox ears from Lu Yanbai’s hand, and held them up to Lu Yanbai’s head.

“Hubby, bend down, I’ll put them on for you.”

“Okay.” Lu Yanbai smiled, his eyes full of indulgence.

Looking at the two snow-white, fluffy fox ears clipped into Lu Yanbai’s hair, Xu Wanxing was so smitten that his heart fluttered. He clutched his chest, staring intently at Lu Yanbai.
