- Over The Top! He Keeps Making the Gold-Digging Alpha Cry
- Chapter 137 - Trying to be a Mistress, Are We?
Xu Wanxing looked at the “intimate” scene between the two men and felt genuinely happy for them.
In a way, he had done a good deed.
The library was indeed too crowded. Xu Wanxing searched around but couldn’t find a seat, so he decided to return to the dorm.
With Pei Yu going out to find Ji Rongyu, he could study in the dorm room.
Two birds with one stone—a perfect solution.
He was truly a genius.
Ji Rongyu watched helplessly as Xu Wanxing’s figure walked farther and farther away, while his own arm was firmly restricted by Pei Yu.
He didn’t want to make a scene in a public place like the library by getting into a fight with Pei Yu, which only made Pei Yu more brazen.
Pei Yu only released his arm when Xu Wanxing was completely out of sight.
Ji Rongyu rubbed the bruised area on his arm, his face cold.
Pei Yu gestured toward the library exit. Ji Rongyu nodded, and the two walked out together.
In a secluded corner near the library, there was no ‘wall slam’ situation as Xu Wanxing had imagined. Instead, two Alphas with equally icy expressions were confronting each other.
“What do you want with me?” Ji Rongyu asked.
Pei Yu plucked a long, slender leaf from a nearby plant and put it in his mouth. “You know perfectly well why I’m looking for you. Don’t play dumb with me. Stay away from him.”
Ji Rongyu frowned. “What I do with him is none of your business. Pei Yu, just mind your own affairs. You can’t even manage yourself, yet you try to interfere with other people’s business? Don’t you think you’re being too useless?”
Pei Yu’s expression shifted several times. He squeezed a sentence out from between his teeth with difficulty: “Don’t interfere in other people’s relationship. The famous campus heartthrob is trying to be a mistress (小三), is that it? I wonder how Uncle Ji will react when he hears about this. I’d love to ask him.”
Ji Rongyu understood that Pei Yu was warning him. He scoffed dismissively. “Nonsense. I just went to the library with him. When did it turn into the dirty relationship you’re suggesting? It’s bad enough that your own mind is filthy; don’t assume everyone else is the same.”
In his heart, he still remembered the chat history where Pei Yu harassed Xu Wanxing. In his eyes, Pei Yu was no different from roadside trash.
Ji Rongyu sneered, “You’re lecturing me? You’re far dirtier than I am. Posting those harassing chat records online—it was utterly disgusting to look at.”
“Where did I post harassing chat records?” Pei Yu chewed the leaf in his mouth. “Is our great campus heartthrob’s brain broken? To imagine something completely fabricated like that.”
Ji Rongyu gritted his teeth in anger. “I saw it with my own eyes. How could it be fake? Don’t deny it. An Alpha who constantly lies and speaks vulgarities—which Omega would put up with that?”
Pei Yu gradually realized something was wrong. He belatedly said, “Saw it with your own eyes? Well, yes, but I didn’t say anything bad. I’ve always been very respectful of Wanwan.”
Ji Rongyu and Wanwan are together, so it’s not surprising he saw Wanwan’s chat history. But what part of his history couldn’t be shown?
They were completely innocent!
Except for that one time… when he told that little punk to send him chat records, photos, leg pictures, and all sorts of other disgusting things.
But didn’t Wanwan curse him out then?
“Wanwan? You call him intimately? What right do you have to call him Wanwan? Don’t you usually call him by his name?” Ji Rongyu said contemptuously.
Pei Yu keenly sensed that something was amiss. He had never once known Wanwan’s name. Why would Ji Rongyu say that?
Even if Ji Rongyu and Wanwan were a couple, he shouldn’t be fabricating such things.
Pei Yu said calmly, “Why can’t I call him by his name? I call it every night. I call it when we’re doing that kind of thing, too.”
Ji Rongyu’s eyes turned icy cold. The next second, he threw a punch, his eyes filled with ferocity.
“Aren’t you disgusting? Do you know that talking like that is a huge harm to an Omega? And he still lives in the same dorm as you. If he knew his roommate fantasizes about him every day, he would be heartbroken.”
The force of Ji Rongyu’s punch was one that a normal Alpha could easily endure, yet Pei Yu was still knocked down by it, crashing heavily onto the ground. He reached up to cover his eye socket, intense emotions churning deep within his eyes.
His heart suddenly pounded uncontrollably. A storm erupted in his mind. Ji Rongyu’s words were not difficult to understand, so why couldn’t he grasp them?
What did he mean?
What ‘his roommate’?
What exactly was Ji Rongyu talking about??
Ji Rongyu looked at Pei Yu lying on the ground with disgust and kicked his body. “Get up, stop playing dead. I know I didn’t use much force in that punch. Trying to scam me, are you? Pei Yu, you’re truly disgusting.”
Normally, this posture would be the most humiliating, but Pei Yu had no time to think about that now. He suddenly grabbed Ji Rongyu’s calf and shouted, “What did you just say? Say it again!”
Ji Rongyu was completely baffled. His calf was trapped by Pei Yu, and he couldn’t pull it out immediately.
Ji Rongyu steeled his resolve and used the posture to kick Pei Yu’s stomach a few times. Pei Yu groaned but held tightly onto his calf, refusing to let go. His eyes were frighteningly red, holding a deep fear.
Ji Rongyu was utterly shocked. He and Pei Yu were childhood friends, and he had never seen Pei Yu look so irrational and frantic. A little horrified, he repeated his previous words.
“Get up, stop playing dead…”
“Not that sentence! The one before that!” Pei Yu shouted a reminder.
Ji Rongyu thought for a moment. “Aren’t you disgusting? Do you know that talking like that is a huge harm to an Omega? And you still live in the same dorm as him. If he knew his roommate fantasizes about him every day, he would be heartbroken.”
After hearing Ji Rongyu’s words, Pei Yu released his hands in a daze. He rested his head back on the ground, his eyes utterly lifeless as he stared at the cloudless sky.
Roommate?
Wanwan?
Don’t tell him that Wanwan and Xu Wanxing are the same person.
He never realized that his Wanwan and the Xu Wanxing who had been living in the same dorm as him all this time were the same person?!!
Ji Rongyu felt a pang of reluctance. They were friends for many years, after all. Seeing Pei Yu’s utterly heartbroken appearance, he felt a strange sense of shared sorrow.
Ji Rongyu gently nudged Pei Yu twice, softening his tone. “Don’t be so disgusting next time. I’ll ask Xu Wanxing to switch dorms with you. Just pretend you never knew him, okay?”
Pei Yu glanced at Ji Rongyu, then painfully covered his face with his hands, concealing the look in his eyes.
Ji Rongyu frowned, looking at the two puddles of water that suddenly appeared beside Pei Yu’s head.
Pei Yu… is crying?
As the puddles grew larger, Pei Yu began to cup his face, sobbing uncontrollably.
Ji Rongyu frowned, squatting beside Pei Yu, his face distressed, his voice sounding slightly awkward:
