The swimming hall was very far from the school gate, located in a rather central area of the campus. Perhaps because he had lingered inside for too long, there were no shared bikes left near the swimming hall.

Ji Rongyu’s expression was indifferent. He looked up at Pei Yu once, then lowered his eyes. “None of your business. Don’t bother me if you have nothing to do.”

Hearing this, Pei Yu became interested and walked directly next to Ji Rongyu.

Ji Rongyu took two steps back, looking at him with distaste. “Don’t smoke next to me.”

Pei Yu casually exhaled the last puff and extinguished the cigarette. “What’s wrong? Can our Campus Prince not stand the smell of smoke?”

There were barely any people left in the swimming hall. Class was over, and everyone had naturally rushed off to eat at the cafeteria, return to the dorm, or leave school.

Ji Rongyu’s eyes were cold as he looked at Pei Yu. “Mind your own business. I’m waiting for someone. Don’t bother me.”

Pei Yu smiled, walked over to Ji Rongyu, and patted his shoulder. “Waiting for Xu Wanxing? He already left.”

Ji Rongyu’s calm expression instantly crumbled, and he asked, full of disbelief, “Why did he leave? Didn’t he say he’d wait for me to return his things?”

Pei Yu shook his head. “I don’t know. Since they’re his things, I’ll take them back for him. After all, we’re roommates.”

Ji Rongyu’s face changed multiple times, finally settling into a single statement, “Fine.”

Pei Yu walked out of the swimming hall smugly, holding Xu Wanxing’s belongings, when he suddenly heard a harsh remark from behind him.

“Xu Wanxing probably isn’t used to sharing a dorm with you. I’ll ask him if he wants to room with me,” said Ji Rongyu.

Pei Yu turned around, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes. “Doesn’t Young Master Ji rely on his father to live in a single dorm? How could he accommodate two people? Besides, Xu Wanxing is perfectly comfortable living with me.”

Ji Rongyu’s eyes curved in a smile. “That’s simple. I can just switch to a double dorm, can’t I? I remember you love playing games. Playing games all the time must be noisy for your roommate.”

The veins on Pei Yu’s forehead bulged, and his fists clenched tightly, looking as though he was about to rush forward and punch Ji Rongyu in the next second.

Ji Rongyu, with a towel wrapped around his waist, stood his ground entirely, his expression seeming to say, Go ahead, hit me.

Pei Yu suddenly unclenched his fists and walked straight out of the swimming hall. Ji Rongyu’s intentions were too obvious: he just wanted Pei Yu to hit him, get disciplined, and face suspension or expulsion.

Truly wicked.

Ji Rongyu shook his head. Pei Yu hadn’t taken the bait; he was quite cautious. But as for changing dorms, as long as Xu Wanxing agreed, it would be easily achieved.

Lu Yanbai was driving; Xu Wanxing sat in the front passenger seat.

His phone suddenly rang. Xu Wanxing picked it up, his face full of shock, unable to speak.

Lu Yanbai glanced over. “What’s wrong, Baby?”

Xu Wanxing held up his phone, hesitating for a moment before saying, “Ji Rongyu is inviting me to live with him.”

The fingers Lu Yanbai had on the steering wheel suddenly tensed, and his face became cold. “Is he crazy?”

Xu Wanxing suddenly realized his words were ambiguous and quickly explained, “No, no. He asked if I was uncomfortable living with Pei Yu and if I wanted to room with him in the dorm.”

There was another part to the message.

If Xu Wanxing didn’t like living in the dorm, he could live in Ji Rongyu’s house outside of school. Ji Rongyu wouldn’t charge him money, saying he just felt lonely living alone and wanted Xu Wanxing to stay with him.

But Xu Wanxing didn’t dare to say that part. He had a terrifying feeling that something awful would happen if he did.

Xu Wanxing had been to Ji Rongyu’s house when dropping off items. The house was large, beautifully and comfortably decorated, and it was especially close to the school, only a few minutes’ walk away.
