One Year After Her Sister-In-Law Was Widowed - Chapter 21
Ji Zhuozhou had once described Xiao Shuangyu as a little cat, a cat that bared its teeth.
But that was limited to the Xiao Shuangyu of back then, who put on a fierce act by showing her fangs.
The usual Xiao Shuangyu was more like a short-muzzled, big-eyed puppy.
Because she was small, she was always tense and restless, quietly blinking those dark, lusterless eyes as she watched you.
And because she was a puppy, she liked to remember things by scent; whenever she found an opportunity, she would sneak forward and sniff incessantly.
As Ji Zhuozhou grabbed Xiao Shuangyu’s hair at the roots to force her away from her nightgown, this thought came to her for no particular reason.
“No sniffing allowed.”
Within that soft, light voice was a hint of a shy tremor.
Xiao Shuangyu hadn’t even finished her breath of scent when her vision suddenly jerked upward; under the distinct pulling sensation at her scalp, she was forced to look at Ji Zhuozhou.
In those excessively dark eyes, a thin mist had yet to dissipate, making her look dazed and innocent.
She unconsciously tightened her grip on the slender waist she was holding. Neither struggling nor resisting, she simply lowered her eyes abruptly, smelling the fragrance that had yet to fade from the tip of her nose, then looked up again. “Then… can I lick?”
From her nape, pheromones had already begun to secrete, sinking into the protection of the suppression patch without a trace of leakage.
Yet that face, usually so pale, was now flushed with a distinct crimson, and her ears had long since turned a blood-red. Her heart was beating—beating violently.
She had already buried her head there while hugging her waist, and only now was she asking such a question?
Ji Zhuozhou looked at her and, with a pa, released her hair. Her fingers slid through the soft strands, smoothing them back with a slightly helpless tone. “You aren’t allowed to sniff.”
It was a silent permission.
Xiao Shuangyu was stunned for a moment, then her brows and the corners of her lips slowly curved upward in a dark, brooding smile.
Her hands finally left Ji Zhuozhou’s waist, reaching back to take Ji Zhuozhou’s hand from behind her own head and bring it before her.
She slowly licked that warm palm, her voice deep and cloyingly thick. “Okay.”
The searing heat of her tongue instantly triggered a dense itch. Ji Zhuozhou instinctively tried to pull her hand away, but to her surprise, Xiao Shuangyu held on tight, licking and kissing her way from the palm to the fingertips.
It was a very lewd way of licking.
Ji Zhuozhou’s deep green eyes fell softly on her face. She watched Xiao Shuangyu’s lips and tongue seemed to swell red along with her scarlet ears, and the pheromones in the gland at the back of her neck became restless once more.
She learned so fast.
With just a simple bit of teaching and a gentle nudge, Xiao Shuangyu could do it decently well and had even taught herself other methods without a master.
Following the itch at her fingertips, Ji Zhuozhou suddenly thrust her knuckles into Xiao Shuangyu’s mouth.
Xiao Shuangyu was visibly stunned. She could clearly feel Ji Zhuozhou’s soft finger pads brushing against her teeth. Her lowered eyes lifted quietly, filled with confusion in the darkness of her pupils.
Ji Zhuozhou narrowed her alluring eyes and said nothing, merely stirring her fingers slowly inside her mouth.
Mm… saliva… is going to fall out.
Xiao Shuangyu closed her mouth slightly, carefully taking Ji Zhuozhou’s fingers in and carefully swallowing her saliva.
Her wet tongue unintentionally wrapped around the knuckles, feeling their presence distinctly.
She blinked and used her tongue to push, to suckle, until only her heartbeat remained in her ears.
That hand that always waved hello to her, that hand that always waved goodbye, that hand that was always used to blend wondrous fragrances, that hand…
That hand pinched her tongue.
The index and middle fingers pressed together, pulling her tongue out of her mouth with a gentle tug.
The soft voice rang out again. “Are you only going to lick my hand?”
Xiao Shuangyu froze, looking up.
The hand left her tongue, trailing a glimmer of moisture from her lips. Ji Zhuozhou said, “Don’t just swallow your saliva.”
Xiao Shuangyu swallowed again and moved back to embrace Ji Zhuozhou’s waist. “I’m sorry.”
As she spoke, she buried her head, expressing her sincere apology to Ji Zhuozhou.
The rich fragrance was omnipresent, drilling into her nose and her mouth.
It smelled so good.
It wasn’t just the moist scent of rain and mist; there seemed to be the sweet scent of freesia and the gentle aroma of white tea.
Even though the pheromones had clearly been controlled and isolated, the scent still seemed to be permeated with the smell of pheromones.
It was very light and faint, but it smelled so good.
So fragrant.
So fragrant, so fragrant, so fragrant, so fragrant.
She wanted to eat it so badly.
The scent swept over her, and she couldn’t stop her greedy sniffing, wanting to scrape away even more of the aroma.
The waist beneath her palms trembled slightly. A hand reached around her, grabbing the hem of the silk nightgown bunched up at her thigh.
Ji Zhuozhou’s voice carried a pants. “Be good… help me take it off.”
The voice and the scent surged from the base of her spine to the top of her head. Xiao Shuangyu felt a wave of numbness throughout her body, as if something was breaking through the soil, taking root and sprouting inside her.
She didn’t get up. Her palms pressed against the fabric spread out on the sheets, pushing it upward inch by inch.
The beautifully shaped collarbones were revealed clearly bit by bit. The soft, white, delicate skin looked as if it would easily leave a mark. Xiao Shuangyu suppressed the urge to bite Ji Zhuozhou’s shoulder and lowered her gaze.
Ji Zhuozhou’s knuckles lightly hooked into her palm.
Xiao Shuangyu couldn’t help but be startled. She leaned down and planted a soft kiss.
So fragrant.
So soft.
So sweet.
Her ears were buzzing, echoing with a powerful heartbeat; it felt as if the world was left with nothing but a blank space.
Ji Zhuozhou was the only existence in that blank world.
Those eyelashes began to tremble even more violently, the corners of her mouth suddenly tightened, and her breathing became heavy.
Xiao Shuangyu noticed, but she didn’t stop.
She carefully ate all the sweet floral nectar into her mouth, continuing without a moment’s pause.
It tasted good.
She couldn’t get enough.
She wanted to eat even more.
Ji Zhuozhou didn’t even have time to catch her breath; a low cry escaped her lips.
As if fearing she would be stopped, Xiao Shuangyu hurried to hug her tightly, not daring to lift her head.
Ji Zhuozhou did not stop her. Amidst the escalating sensations, she clawed layer upon layer of wrinkles into the bedsheets.
It came quickly.
Ji Zhuozhou tilted her head back. The desire stirred up by the heat period finally seemed somewhat replenished; she felt as though she didn’t want to move a single finger.
Xiao Shuangyu, however, grew increasingly excited. No matter how much she ate, it wasn’t enough, and she wanted to continue.
Ji Zhuozhou raised her leg to press against her shoulder, her voice rasping with hoarseness. “Come up.”
Xiao Shuangyu looked up dazed. With great reluctance, she let go of Ji Zhuozhou’s waist, propped up her arms, and crawled forward.
Her lips were glistening, and the tip of her nose was glistening too, flushed with a beautiful red.
Ji Zhuozhou put an arm around her neck. She really wanted to ask her, “Are you really a puppy?” but when the words reached her lips, she leaned in and kissed the corner of Xiao Shuangyu’s mouth.
“Lick somewhere else too.”
Xiao Shuangyu instinctively licked the corner of her own mouth, taking the moisture and the kiss into her mouth together.
She wrapped her arms around Ji Zhuozhou’s waist again and kissed Ji Zhuozhou’s lips.
Xiao Shuangyu wasn’t full.
Even though it was Ji Zhuozhou who was in her heat period, it was her own desire that had spiraled out of control.
She followed behind Ji Zhuozhou—followed a completely drenched Ji Zhuozhou to the bathroom door. Without much conscious thought, she wanted to keep following her inside.
Ji Zhuozhou turned back to stop her. “That’s enough for today. Wait for me, okay?”
On the exposed snowy skin, spots of faint red were eye-catching and striking. If it weren’t for the fact that Ji Zhuozhou was truly exhausted and had held her body tightly to prevent her from moving, it might still not have ended.
Xiao Shuangyu lowered her head and nodded gloomily.
The bathroom door closed before her eyes.
Xiao Shuangyu didn’t leave. She listened to the rising sound of splashing water behind the door.
It was already evening; they had been doing it for almost the entire day.
She pursed her lips, feeling the fragrance still lingering on her teeth and lips, yet it was fading rapidly.
It was heartbreaking.
If only it could be preserved forever.
By the time they had both finished washing up, the food they had ordered for delivery arrived.
The two of them sat facing each other at the dining table. Xiao Shuangyu kept her head down and suddenly spoke up. “Can you… create a fragrance for me?”
Bypassing the company to take a private commission wasn’t quite in line with a perfumer’s rules. Xiao Shuangyu didn’t know that, and Ji Zhuozhou didn’t say it. She only asked, “What kind of scent does Lianlian want?”
Xiao Shuangyu touched the back of her neck. A new suppression patch had been placed there, again applied by Ji Zhuozhou.
Even though her D-class pheromones were no longer being secreted.
She shook her head. “I don’t know yet.”
Then she cautiously looked up. “In the future… can I come to find you?”
Ji Zhuozhou narrowed her eyes slightly, a faint smile playing on her lips. “Is it for work, or to accompany me?”
Xiao Shuangyu stammered a bit. She had originally only been thinking about that “fragrance,” but because of Ji Zhuozhou’s words, she suddenly became greedy and wanted it all.
Seeing her like this, Ji Zhuozhou suddenly changed the subject. “Is Lianlian still living at home?”
She was referring to the villa in the suburbs.
Xiao Shuangyu shook her head. Amidst Ji Zhuozhou’s sound of doubt, she said she was still living at school—or rather, in that tiny rental house located right by the school.
Ji Zhuozhou was struck with realization, suddenly understanding what Xiao Shuangyu meant last time when she said she wasn’t going home but was going back to school. At the same time, she was somewhat shocked.
The villa in the suburbs was nearly an hour away from Huari, and the address Xiao Shuangyu mentioned took almost an hour and a half.
By car, during non-peak hours.
The subway would probably take even longer.
As well as her, Xiao Shuangyu didn’t think anything was wrong at all, as if the person who had to take a taxi for over an hour to get home every night after her shift wasn’t herself.
Ji Zhuozhou fell silent.
This made Ji Zhuozhou even more determined. She asked, “Do you want to… move in here?”
Ji Zhuozhou glanced at the dark circles under her black eyes. Her soft voice, carrying a slight hoarseness, suddenly became very low, like a soft sigh. “After all, this… is also your sister’s home.”
Suddenly, Xiao Shuangyu snapped her head up, her dark eyes wide and round.
It was impossible to tell if it was surprise or joy.
