Obsessive Love, The Possessive Real Young Lady - Chapter 11
The dimly lit environment was filled with noisy music, and a mix of perfume and alcohol assailed Shen Jiayan’s nostrils.
Holding a wine glass, she sat in the booth and glanced at Chen Qianqian beside her, who was wearing a business suit and chatting animatedly with her friends.
What bad luck.
It was bad enough being followed when she went out, but now she had to run into this woman while having a meal.
Since the last dinner party, Shen Jiayan had been using various excuses to decline Chen Qianqian’s invitations.
This was exactly what she was avoiding.
Every word and phrase Chen Qianqian uttered, seemingly complaining about how hard and exhausting work was and how much she had to learn, was actually a way to flaunt her self-worth as a person not seen as a commodity for marriage, which she perceived as a contrast to Shen Jiayan’s situation.
Her smug, self-satisfied look completely ruined the little bit of good mood Shen Jiayan had managed to achieve.
She tilted her head back, finished the wine in her glass, and picked up the bottle on the table, ready to pour herself another drink.
Su Sui, who had been reading nearby, grabbed her wrist as she was about to refill the glass: “Drink less.”
Shen Jiayan frowned and glared at her: “Don’t provoke me.”
Not only did Su Sui not let go, but she also snatched the semi-transparent glass from her hand, then calmly returned to her seat to continue reading the unfinished book.
Seeing her composed and self-assured manner made Shen Jiayan grit her teeth in anger.
It was just a relationship where they had slept together twice. Su Sui was really starting to think highly of herself, which was a gross overestimation.
Shen Jiayan glared, then turned her face to see Chen Qianqian looking at her with a strange expression.
More accurately, she was looking at both her and Su Sui.
When she saw Shen Jiayan turn her gaze towards her, she raised her wine glass and said with a smile, “I heard you’re getting engaged to the one from the Zhang family. Congratulations.”
When she said this, her voice was clearly louder, drawing the attention of those around her to Shen Jiayan.
“The Zhang family? Which Zhang family?”
“Which other Zhang family could it be? The only one the Shenshi Group would look at is probably the family of M City’s top official.”
“Oh my god, Jiayan, you’re so lucky.”
“Isn’t she though? Good looks, excellent family background.” Chen Qianqian pursed her lips and smiled lightly, as if showing off, or perhaps reminding her of something: “Marrying into the Zhang family means you won’t have to fight in the business world for your family’s sake like the rest of us.”
“By the way, Jiayan, please take care of us sisters in the future.”
A wave of sighs and looks of envy and jealousy gathered on Shen Jiayan.
Chen Qianqian smiled, leaning in to inquire quietly: “In the spirit of our sisterhood. Tell me, is the cooperation between the Shen family and the Zhang family going to drive up M City’s housing prices?”
Her words were polite, but they clearly hinted at intense jealousy.
Shen Jiayan merely looked at her coldly.
This hypocritical face was truly ugly.
She looked down on her deep down, yet she hypocritically went out of her way to be friendly.
In Chen Qianqian’s heart, there was no such thing as sisterly affection, only the exchange of benefits.
And this form of transaction had long become the main theme of life for people like them, completely self-serving.
Heh… a daughter of a wealthy family, how pathetic.
Shen Jiayan lowered her eyes, staring at the bright red nail polish on her fingernails, suddenly finding it a bit jarring.
“You’ve asked the wrong person about that,” she lifted her eyes to look at Chen Qianqian. “Whether their cooperation drives up housing prices is never a question I consider.”
Her tone was light, but carried a strange kind of authority.
“However…” she gave a slight hum, “Do you really think I will marry Zhang Xiujie?”
Chen Qianqian was startled, and the others with her were also stunned.
After all, in their eyes, although the Shen family was rich in M City, they were nothing compared to the Zhang family.
The Zhang family had a strong background, and there was no better backer in the whole city, or even the whole country.
Shen Jiayan stood up, looking down at them, and slowly said, “That Zhang Xiujie is not worthy.”
Having said this, she stepped on her stiletto heels and walked towards the restroom with a languid posture.
Su Sui closed the book in her hand and stood up to follow her.
As soon as they left.
The expressions of those present immediately changed.
“Why is she acting so haughty? She looks down on the Zhang family, does she think the Zhang family would even look at her?”
“Exactly, I just can’t stand her condescending manner.”
Several people began to chatter, their faces filled with indignation.
Only Chen Qianqian’s eyes flickered, wondering what she was thinking.
On the other side.
Shen Jiayan was washing her hands at the sink, and Su Sui was leaning against the wall, reading.
The mirror reflected the figures of the two people, one tall and slender, the other delicate and seductive.
They looked quite well matched.
But a bookworm is a bookworm; she can read with gusto wherever she goes.
Shen Jiayan pouted and turned off the faucet. Deliberately using her wet hand, she snatched Su Sui’s book and threw it onto the wet sink.
Su Sui loved books.
She knew this as early as middle school.
At that time, when Su Sui’s book was thrown into the toilet by the class bully.
Su Sui rushed into the classroom, grabbed the little boy, and beat him savagely, leaving him bruised, tearful, and screaming, which took two or three teachers to pull her away.
That was the first time she had seen Su Sui erupt in a frenzy, and since then, she knew Su Sui was not so… easy to bully.
It was also that time that the “mad” Su Sui left a deep impression on her.
It felt like seeing a saint fall, a demon becoming a god, day and night reversing, a fusion of heaven and hell.
And because of this, her actions towards Su Sui became increasingly excessive, increasingly without boundaries or limits.
Su Sui foolishly thought that it was her way of retaliating. But she didn’t know that wrapped within the retaliation was a somewhat perverse longing.
To her disappointment, Su Sui was not angry, let alone flying into a rage.
She just glanced at the book, then picked it up herself.
Shen Jiayan couldn’t help but frown.
It was always like this.
No matter how she provoked or crossed the line, Su Sui handled it calmly.
Boring, extremely boring.
Shen Jiayan snatched the book again, and this time, threw it directly into the trash can.
“Don’t pick it up again.”
“Are you in a bad mood?”
“Yes.”
“Because of Chen Qianqian?”
Shen Jiayan didn’t bother to answer, turned, and walked out the door.
Leaving Su Sui standing there, looking at the book in the trash can, her eyes gradually turning cold: “It seems so.”
When the group left the nightclub, it was already close to midnight.
The streetlights were on.
Su Sui was supporting the slightly unsteady and hazy Shen Jiayan, walking towards where the car was parked.
From not far away, she noticed an unusual light flashing in the back seat of the car.
There was someone in the car.
They should be with the people who followed them during the day.
Su Sui curled her lips, turned back while supporting Shen Jiayan, and prepared to ask Chen Qianqian and her friends for a ride.
She hadn’t walked far back when she heard Chen Qianqian’s voice.
“If it hadn’t been for Su Sui, I would have ruined Shen Jiayan’s innocence back in sophomore year.”
“Isn’t that right? The two of us finally managed to trick Shen Jiayan into drinking too much at the bar, but she dragged Shen Jiayan away.”
“If that had succeeded, Shen Jiayan would be damaged goods, and I’d like to see her act so arrogant. Let’s see her look down on the Zhang family, and look down on me.”
They didn’t forget to laugh after saying this.
“However, I discovered something even more interesting today.”
“What is it?”
“Shen Jiayan and that nanny’s daughter might be sleeping together.”
Su Sui had no interest in hearing the rest of their conversation.
She helped Shen Jiayan over to Chen Qianqian’s car, took out a small knife she carried, and stabbed the tire.
By the time Chen Qianqian and her friends came over, most of the air had been let out of the tire.
While they were frustrated about it.
Su Sui appeared.
“We aren’t planning to go home tonight. Why don’t you drive Jiayan’s car back.”
Chen Qianqian and the person next to her exchanged a look, and their eyes were filled with amusement.
“Sure.” She took the car keys from Su Sui’s hand: “Thank Jiayan for me.”
As soon as the two of them left.
The smile on Su Sui’s face immediately vanished: “It should be me saying thank you.”
Inside the hotel room.
Su Sui placed Shen Jiayan on the soft bed, then turned to the bathroom, turned on the faucet, and began filling the bathtub.
Once the water was ready, she returned and once again helped the drunken Shen Jiayan over.
She gently took off Shen Jiayan’s clothes, then bent down, picked her up, and walked into the bathtub.
The bathtub was large enough for Shen Jiayan to lie down.
Su Sui sat beside her, quietly watching the tipsy woman.
“Ugh… I feel awful…” Shen Jiayan mumbled with her eyes closed, struggling to climb out of the bathtub.
Su Sui pressed her back into the tub, preventing her from moving around.
“Be good, take a bath. You’ll feel better in the morning.”
Shen Jiayan opened her blurry, drunk eyes, looking at her confusedly, seeming to recognize her appearance. A moment later, she whispered, “Su Sui…”
“Mm, I’m here.”
Shen Jiayan’s eyes reddened, and tears welled up: “Su Sui… they all dislike me.”
“Shen Wenshan doesn’t like me, Fu Jing, Shen Shihao don’t like me, Chen Qianqian and her friends don’t like me either.”
Shen Jiayan had lost control like this after drinking more than once, but every time, Su Sui’s heart would ache with hers.
“What do they even matter!” Shen Jiayan gripped her hand and said, “Why do they hate me, why do they treat me like a commodity, and why are they constantly scheming to harm me!”
Saying this, she lowered her eyes, her eyelashes trembling a few times: “They all deserve to die, they all should die. I’m not the one who’s wrong, it’s them! It’s them!”
“Yes, they are the ones who are wrong.” Su Sui wiped away the tears overflowing from her eyes, coaxing her with soft words: “They don’t deserve to be around you at all. Because they don’t understand how precious you are, but it’s okay, I do.”
The people who hurt you.
The people who bully you.
The people who look down on you.
I will help you bite them to death, one by one.
Chen Qianqian and her friend followed Su Sui’s directions to Shen Jiayan’s car.
Looking at the luxury car in front of her, Chen Qianqian contained the excitement in her heart.
She had wanted to buy this car for a long time, but unfortunately, there were only 50 of them worldwide.
But… Shen Jiayan could easily own one!
What was unattainable in the eyes of others was within Shen Jiayan’s easy reach.
The world truly wasn’t fair!
Chen Qianqian clenched her fist: “Get in the car, let’s go for a drive.”
