- Chapter 14 - The Lickspittle Omega Infatuated with the Fake Young Master (14)
As the lights flickered on, the streets of Capital Star were permeated everywhere with the atmosphere of Valentine’s Day.
Jing Yue rode his motorcycle, whistling through the wind at lightning speed, leaving behind the constant cries of “Handsome, buy a bouquet of flowers for your partner” ringing in his ears.
At the end of summer, the temperature difference between day and night was large. He had left in such a hurry that he even forgot to wear a helmet, letting the cold wind lash against his head and face until his cheeks ached.
However, it also allowed him to gradually regain a shred of calm from his disordered emotions.
Was Andy’s word… truly believable?
Hooking up with three Alphas?
Vile and filthy words crashed through his mind, yet no matter what, he could not overlap them with Xin Rong’s clean and beautiful face.
However, just as he was about to convince himself, a terrifying thought cold-bloodedly floated to the surface of his brain.
The first time Xin Rong met him, hadn’t he taken him to a love hotel?
Could it be… that this was his usual trick?
He had used it on him once, and now he was using it on others?
A layer of cold sweat seeped from the palm clenching the handlebar. With a roar of the throttle, the bike’s speed soared again, as if by going fast enough, he could throw off the maddening imaginations in his head.
The hotel was situated in the uptown district, its decoration flamboyant and extravagant, golden and brilliant to the point of being almost kitschy—a world of difference compared to the one Xin Rong had taken him to.
The moment he stepped inside, the concierge at the door was stunned by the murderous aura radiating from his body and cautiously approached: “Sir, do you need help—”
Jing Yue acted as if he hadn’t heard, his sharp gaze sweeping across the entire lobby. His vision suddenly locked onto the cafe behind the water feature.
Masked by lush greenery, a familiar figure was sitting there quietly.
It was Xin Rong.
He instinctively clenched his fists and strode over like a shooting star.
The next instant, his footsteps faltered, and the blood in his entire body surged backward to his brain.
He saw three Alphas surrounding Xin Rong. Each one was burly with knotted muscles, looking like a pack of starving wolves circling an oblivious white rabbit.
Yet Xin Rong was completely unaware of the danger lurking around him, that innocent and naive smile still hanging on his face.
Fragile enough to make one’s heart ache, yet so obedient it made one feel hatred.
Just then, one of the Alphas suddenly stood up and plopped himself down on Xin Rong’s sofa.
Even though his frame was a size larger than Xin Rong’s, he insisted on sitting with him, his muscle-bound arm intentionally or unintentionally brushing against Xin Rong’s shoulder.
Jing Yue’s pupils constricted abruptly. His gaze locked onto that offending arm, his knuckles cracking loudly from the force of his grip.
The moment that Alpha reached out toward Xin Rong, he charged forward, grabbing the man’s wrist with enough force to nearly crush the bone.
“Hey, you, what are you doing?” The Alpha looked bewildered, clearly not expecting someone to suddenly barge in.
“What am I doing?” Jing Yue’s eyes were bloodshot, his voice low as if squeezed out from his throat. “Why don’t you ask first—what is your hand doing?”
“Keep your mouth clean!” The Alpha wasn’t a pushover either. Seeing that Jing Yue came with ill intent, he instantly flared up in rage. “What my hand does, what does it have to do with you?”
“It has nothing to do with me,” Jing Yue’s strength increased by several degrees. “And once I chop it off, it will have nothing to do with you either.”
“You—” The Alpha just wanted to swing a punch in retaliation, but his wrist was pinned deathly tight by Jing Yue. Only then did he realize with a shock that he was simply no match for him.
Xin Rong hadn’t realized what was happening. He stared blankly at the man who had suddenly broken in, and after a few seconds, he instinctively called out softly: “Jing Yue.”
Hearing his voice, Jing Yue turned his head and gave him a faint look.
That gaze was bone-chillingly cold, like ten-thousand-year-old ice, sharp enough to pierce straight through the heart.
Xin Rong’s heart trembled, and he didn’t even dare to take a deep breath.
Seeing this, the other two Alphas also quickly stood up from the sofa, but they didn’t dare to act rashly.
The hierarchy between Alphas was strict. Although they were acting arrogant based on their numbers, the man before them was ruthless in his moves. With one strike, they could tell he was a heavy hitter not to be messed with.
If he really was an S-rank Alpha, they wouldn’t just lose the fight—they might lose their lives.
As they stood in a stalemate, one person’s gaze moved, sweeping across the back of Jing Yue’s neck. Suddenly, as if discovering something, a flash of mockery appeared in his eyes.
“And here I was wondering what it was.” the man sneered, his mouth twitching in a sarcastic curl, his tone contemptuous. “Turns out it’s just a cripple. These days, even a cripple dares to be this arrogant?”
Jing Yue’s strength did not diminish, his knuckles turning white. He slowly turned his head, his cold, eerie gaze slicing sideways: “Say that again.”
Seeing that the back of Jing Yue’s neck was empty, with no trace of a pheromone gland, the man’s back straightened instantly. He tilted his head up and provoked him brazenly: “I said—you are a cripple. What, you got a problem with that?”
In an instant, Jing Yue’s face completely changed.
Xin Rong had never seen Jing Yue like this.
He had always known Jing Yue had a violent temper and was cold to everyone. But the current Jing Yue was radiating a murderous intent so thick it wouldn’t disperse. The killing intent shooting from his eyes was enough to make one’s blood run cold.
This was the look of Jing Yue truly enraged.
Before the Alpha could react, Jing Yue’s wrist suddenly exerted force. He grabbed the man’s nape, lifting him up with ease, and slammed him violently toward his accomplice—
Bang!
Two heads collided heavily. Both clutched their foreheads as cries of pain exploded in the air.
“You f*cking want to die!”
The remaining three Alphas instantly formed a united front, roaring as they lunged forward.
The scene spiraled out of control. Amidst the exchange of fists and kicks, tables and chairs were overturned, and the sound of shattering glass rose and fell.
Xin Rong’s brain was a mess, and he had to turn to the system for help: “Little Coal Ball, what on earth is going on?”
050 was also dumbfounded, stammering: “Ho-host, I don’t know either… but the system just reminded me that the mission is complete.”
Xin Rong was stunned, suddenly remembering—
It was now nine o’clock in the evening.
The scheduled time for Jing Yue and Qiu Han’s tutoring had long since passed.
Jing Yue… had actually missed the tutoring.
But how could it be in this manner?
Before he had time to think more, Jing Yue had lost himself in the fight.
Fighting three Alphas alone, he didn’t fall into a disadvantage for a second. His movements were swift and sharp, every punch hitting flesh.
More and more people gathered around, surrounding the area tightly like they were watching a good show.
Xin Rong was anxious beyond belief. Ignoring everything else, he rushed forward and grabbed Jing Yue’s arm.
“Jing Yue, stop fighting!”
But Jing Yue couldn’t hear a thing. Completely swallowed by hatred, he smashed a fist into the Alpha who had called him a “cripple.” The man’s nose instantly gushed blood as he fell wretchedly to the ground.
“Jing Yue!” Xin Rong’s voice changed its tone in desperation. “Enough!!”
This cry finally, abruptly, pulled Jing Yue back.
His fist paused slightly, and he turned around.
Those lead-gray eyes were already filled with bloodshot veins, the intense ferocity almost heaven-reaching. Like an infuriated trapped beast, he snatched up the half-dead Alpha on the ground and threw him at Xin Rong’s feet like a piece of trash.
“Is this the ‘goods’ you picked out to replace me?”
Xin Rong was stunned: “What…”
“Three Alphas, all trash.” the corner of Jing Yue’s mouth hooked into a cold curl. “It seems you’re not only blind, but your brain is also broken.”
So what if they have glands?
So what if they are Alphas?
Weren’t they still beaten by him until they scurried like rats, looking for their teeth on the floor?
Xin Rong opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but was blocked by Jing Yue’s next words.
“Or did you think I wasn’t ‘stimulating’ enough, is that it?” Jing Yue smiled thinly and self-deprecatingly. “Or you think Alphas suit your taste better. As long as it’s an Alpha, even if it’s a useless coward, you can’t wait to stick yourself to them.”
“What the hell are you talking about?!” Xin Rong trembled all over with anger, the rims of his eyes turning red.
At this moment, Jing Yue staggered back a step.
A laugh bordering on madness spilled from the depths of his throat.
“That’s right, you are an Omega—an Omega who drugged someone the very first time you met.” he stared at Xin Rong, his voice carrying a nearly poisonous thinness. “For a loose and indecent person like you, how could I have ever held fantasies about you?”
As if he had been slapped, Xin Rong was frozen on the spot.
He still hadn’t figured out what had happened, but one thing he knew all too clearly—
Jing Yue was humiliating him.
The hurtful words, sentence by sentence, were like knives carving into his heart.
He didn’t know why, but every time he faced Jing Yue’s naked loathing, an uncontrollable wave of sourness and sadness would always well up in his heart.
It felt as if… things weren’t supposed to be like this.
“Why are you always like this?” After a long while, Xin Rong stared at the ground with a dull gaze, his voice low, as if murmuring to himself. “Always saying such horrible things…”
Suddenly, Jing Yue surged forward a step, grabbing Xin Rong’s shoulder.
Caught off guard, Xin Rong crashed into those crimson, maddened eyes.
In that instant, he truly developed the illusion that Jing Yue was going to kill him.
So, did he really hate him this much?
To the point of wanting his life?
His heart felt as if it were being twisted hard. He simply gave up struggling in self-abandonment, his eyelashes trembling slightly as he closed his eyes.
The imagined pain, however, did not descend.
In its place was a hot, moist, itchy sensation at his neck.
Jing Yue lowered his head, his nose pressed close to the crook of Xin Rong’s neck, seemingly sniffing or kissing something greedily.
His breathing was rapid and disordered, his whole body shaking uncontrollably, screaming insanely in his heart: Is Xin Rong’s body already covered in the pheromones of those Alphas?
But he couldn’t smell it.
He couldn’t smell anything.
Jing Yue’s gaze gradually darkened.
A sense of powerlessness submerged him like a tide, yet he could only stare desperately at Xin Rong’s gland.
That fragile part belonging to an Omega.
That place that naturally made an Omega depend on, feel for, and submit to an Alpha.
For a moment, he actually birthed an extremely perverted and wicked thought.
He wanted to dig that gland out.
He wanted Xin Rong to suffer from a gland disability just like him, to become a defective piece of trash rejected by the world.
That way, he would never be moved by another Alpha again, and they could be a pair of cripples licking each other’s wounds.
Belonging only to each other.
Forever, and ever…
Just then, Kahn’s voice came from the entrance.
He strode in, his gaze sweeping over the Alphas who had been beaten black and blue, then looked at Jing Yue’s bloodshot eyes. He didn’t ask further, having already guessed most of the sequence of events in his heart.
He walked to Jing Yue’s side and shook his head helplessly: “You really know how to save me some peace of mind.”
Jing Yue stared straight ahead expressionlessly.
Kahn turned to look at the only Alpha who was barely able to stand. Out of these few people, only he hadn’t directly fought Jing Yue, and his face hadn’t been beaten too badly.
“Sigh, I am truly sorry, everyone.” Kahn apologized with a face full of amiability. “This person is a fighter from our arena. Today’s matter was just a misunderstanding. The practical interview was supposed to be scheduled for later, but he wasn’t clear on the situation and just jumped straight in.”
Jing Yue frowned, looking at Kahn in confusion.
Interview?
Just as he was about to speak, he was glared back by a look from Kahn, signaling him to shut up.
The Alpha was still shaken, speaking tremulously: “N-no, wasn’t it agreed that we’d just sign a contract today? This fighter of yours is too fierce. I think with my bit of strength, I’m afraid I’m not qualified to hang around your arena. You should… you should find someone better.”
Hearing this, Jing Yue’s frown deepened.
Sign a contract?
His gaze inadvertently swept over, landing on the coffee table.
He saw three contracts spread out neatly. The large characters on the first page of the documents slammed into his eyes—
“Arena Short-Term Fighter Employment Contract.”
The rage in his chest was replaced by a belated epiphany, and he instantly went cold to the bone.
So, Xin Rong came to find these Alphas…
…just to sign contracts?
