My Soft AI Boyfriend Turned into a Rough Man—and Kisses Me Until I Am Pregnant - Chapter 48
Xu Xiaoguai pressed her lips tightly together, staring at the chat dialog box, feeling somewhat annoyed.
Her parents gave Xu Xi such a generous monthly allowance, yet he had spent it all so quickly and now had the nerve to ask her for money.
[Our parents don’t usually give me money. The earnings from my part-time job are just enough to cover my own expenses. I don’t have any extra to spare.]
After sending this reply, Xu Xiaoguai muted Xu Xi’s chat notifications.
She sighed and set her phone aside.
In the kitchen stood two refrigerators, one was the old one, and the other seemed to have been newly delivered.
They must have bought too many things yesterday, which was why Lu Wang had decided to get another fridge.
Xu Xiaoguai noticed that the guest room looked different. Puzzled, she walked over and discovered that the bed inside was gone, the room had been completely cleared out and replaced with several cabinets.
She was confused. Was this room no longer being used to keep the dog?
What were all these cabinets for?
But… it seemed she really had no excuse to sleep alone anymore. Now, without even a bed in the guest room, the only place left to sleep was the master bedroom.
Footsteps sounded behind her. Lu Wang, wrapped in a towel around his waist, walked out while drying his hair.
He smirked at the sight of his little beauty standing at the doorway of the guest room.
Was she still thinking about sleeping in there?
Good thing he had taken action first.
Originally, he had wanted to have the guest room demolished, but the people who came to inspect it said it couldn’t be torn down though it could be renovated.
Since his little beauty was going to be living with him now, and he had bought her quite a few things recently, turning the guest room into her walk-in closet wasn’t a bad idea.
Lu Wang walked over and ruffled Xu Xiaoguai’s hair. It wasn’t dry at all, she couldn’t sleep like that.
After quickly drying his own hair, he asked her, “Why didn’t you blow-dry your hair?”
Xu Xiaoguai wasn’t used to using a hairdryer. Even at home, she had always been reserved and never developed the habit.
Before she could answer, Lu Wang scooped her up into his arms.
Xu Xiaoguai let out a soft gasp as he carried her to the sofa and set her down.
“You…” she began, but he cut her off.
“Sit here and wait for me.”
He tossed the towel he had been using onto the coffee table and headed toward the bathroom.
Xu Xiaoguai stared blankly at the towel. The faint, pleasant scent of shower gel wafted from it, the same fragrance she had noticed on Lu Wang before.
It smelled really nice.
She sat obediently, waiting for him to return. The sofa was so soft that she deliberately straightened her back, sitting upright with a clear gaze fixed ahead. From time to time, she pursed her lips and glanced in the direction where Lu Wang had disappeared.
About a minute later, Lu Wang returned with something in his hand.
When Xu Xiaoguai saw it, she realized it was a hairdryer.
Lu Wang sat down beside her, and Xu Xiaoguai remained still, a bit dazed.
The man chuckled softly. “What? Do you want to sit on my lap and have me blow-dry your hair for you? That might not be very convenient. Be good, darling, I’ll hold you later. Let’s dry your hair first, okay?”
“Turn around.”
Xu Xiaoguai lowered her gaze, bowed her head, and shifted so that her back was facing Lu Wang.
The hairdryer was quite loud, so neither of them spoke.
Xu Xiaoguai could feel him carefully handling her hair. It seemed her hair was too long, making it a bit troublesome for him to dry, but he patiently continued until it was completely dry.
The girl could barely suppress the smile at the corner of her lips. A sudden impulsive thought crossed her mind, she really wanted to turn around and hug Lu Wang.
Her hair was almost dry when Lu Wang turned off the hairdryer.
Xu Xiaoguai’s long strands slipped through the man’s fingers as she was about to turn around, only to be scooped up into Lu Wang’s arms.
Though she wasn’t particularly tall, she was of average height. Yet every time Lu Wang held her, it felt as effortless as carrying a child.
Sitting on his lap, her hair cascaded down, partially obscuring her face.
Even seated on Lu Wang’s legs, she could barely meet his gaze at eye level.
As Lu Wang leaned closer to her face, he caught the faint fragrance of her hair.
“Sitting so still and letting your husband dry your hair, how can you be this well-behaved, hmm?”
“How should I reward my little beauty?”
As soon as he finished speaking, Xu Xiaoguai thought he was about to kiss her.
Feeling a bit shy, she deliberately buried her face in the crook of his neck, trying to avoid his lips.
Instead, she heard Lu Wang’s unrestrained laughter.
“So eager to snuggle with your husband? But wait a moment.”
Lu Wang’s tone was surprisingly serious. Xu Xiaoguai slowly lifted her head and saw him pick up a document from the table.
Instantly, she felt even more embarrassed.
So that wasn’t what he had meant.
As the man opened the file, Xu Xiaoguai realized it was a blueprint.
“You like working, don’t you? Your husband is giving you a chance to practice.”
Xu Xiaoguai froze for a moment before asking, “What is this?”
“I mentioned a business trip earlier. This is a plot of land in that city, planned for development. Aren’t you studying architecture? Want to give it a try?”
Xu Xiaoguai’s eyes widened in surprise. “N-No, that won’t do. Even though it’s my major, I have no practical experience. I’ve only just started university and haven’t learned much yet.”
She seemed visibly flustered.
“This isn’t something that can be finished in a year or two.”
Lu Wang gently brushed aside the stray strands of hair near her cheek. “It’s a five-year project. You can design it during your university years, and construction will start after you graduate. Consider it your graduation gift.”
Xu Xiaoguai’s breath hitched. They hadn’t been together for long, and she still had over three years until graduation. Lu Wang was already thinking so far ahead.
It seemed he wasn’t just playing around with her.
“But… what if I mess it up?”
Xu Xiaoguai lacked confidence. Her grasp of professional knowledge was still limited, and such a large piece of land must be incredibly valuable. If Lu Wang was developing it for profit, letting her “play” with the design would be a waste.
Lu Wang pinched her cheek gently. “Xu Xiaoguai, can’t you tell I’m being serious?”
“Consider it a way to hone your skills. And your husband will be here to help you.”
“It’s settled then.”
Lu Wang pushed the document aside. Xu Xiaoguai’s heart raced, she truly wanted this opportunity.
She had worked hard to earn her grades, hoping to put her knowledge to use. Not everyone got such a chance.
She wanted to give it a try.
Just as Xu Xiaoguai was about to look up and thank Lu Wang, his lips met hers.
The desire in his eyes was unmistakable.
His little beauty smelled too enticing.
How many days had it been now?
So hard to resist.
Lu Wang wondered whether having her live with him was torment for her or for himself.
He bit Xu Xiaoguai’s ear, his voice slightly rough, “Baby, how many days until your period is over?”
Xu Xiaoguai’s whole body trembled.
She usually finished within a week.
“Still… still three more days.”
