My Nemesis and My Wife - Chapter 11
Chapter 11: Why Is She So Happy?
Yu Jintang stood on the pedestrian overpass, the musical fountain in the distant square blooming like fireworks. The water columns suddenly rose and suddenly fell, flashing with gorgeous and brilliant light colors.
A lighter approached her lips, igniting a slender lady’s cigarette.
The style of this lighter was very ancient, and it seemed to have furthermore undergone fire burning and heavy strikes, its black-silver outer shell mottled and patch-ridden. A string of English was engraved at its bottom, “All things and I are free verses of poetry.”
Yu Jintang sipped the cigarette, her eyelids slightly lowering. Only when the smoke burned to half did she suddenly raise her head, casting a glance toward all four directions. Yang Xingji was staying in the car; those two people hadn’t come out yet.
She touched the lighter with cherish for a while, raising her feet to walk toward below.
Suddenly someone ran over toward this side. Yu Jintang turned her head back very alertly, seeing a girl wearing a school uniform rushing over toward this side, a face full of panic color. She also caught sight of herself, her wild and frantic gaze sweeping past, finally staring straight at herself, crashing over head-on.
Behind the girl’s body five or six tall and big boys suddenly surged out, appearing to be currently chasing her, among whom two were furthermore wearing the identical school uniform as the girl. The girl pounced over, fiercely catching hold of her clothing cuff.
“Save me… help me!”
Yu Jintang cast a glance at those few aggressively coming boys, pulling her up to run toward the other end of the overpass. Having just run out two steps, the two people suddenly stopped down, slowly retreating toward the back.
Up ahead two panting boys climbed up again, their facial expressions terrifying.
Yu Jintang slowly retreated a step, opening her mouth to stall for time: “What do you guys want to do?”
“Mind your own business less.” A boy said with a cloudy face: “We are of the same school, who are you? Go away!”
Qin Lan within her heart was thinking about that turn of words spoken by Jiang Yan, unobservant for a time, wandering randomly to under the overpass.
Jiang Yan who followed out only saw her suddenly blank for an instant, and afterward fling off her high heels to run flat out on her bare feet, in the turning of an eye rushing onto the overpass.
“Qin Lan!” Jiang Yan lacked the time to obstruct her, having no choice but to pick up the high-heeled shoes flung off on the ground, following up with quick steps.
Qin Lan silently and soundlessly rushed onto the overpass, at a time when everyone hadn’t yet reacted striking a heavy blow at a boy’s neck side with one foot, her two hands clamping another boy’s head, pressing him onto the ground.
“Yu obedient-behaved are you okay!” She shouted.
“Hey yo wei small-viewing me right!” Yu Jintang decisively pulled the girl to run downward: “You wait for me next time I’ll reveal a skill to you!”
“Nonsense, just that body of yours yet wanting to fight?” Qin Lan countered.
The two boys on the ground lay at the original place baring their teeth and grimacing, while the other people surrounded over with cloudy faces. Qin Lan immediately with a fling of her long hair covered her face tightly and securely. In the middle of the night she披scattered her hair covering her face, at a first glance exactly like Sadako, turning the opposite side stunned and suppressed.
The crowd looked at each other face-to-face: “Is this a person or a ghost?”
Another burst of urgent footsteps came, trampling the overpass steps until they resounded with a guang-guang sound; tall and big bodyguards appeared behind Sadako’s body, staring at this group of high school students with unkind facial expressions.
“Come, this old mother will accompany you guys to play a bit.” Qin Lan breathed evenly, extending out a single hand. Immediately someone delivered over a hat, mask, and sunglasses. Qin Lan took them and wore them well, casually tearing the skirt hem obliquely to the leg root.
Afterward she fly-and-dominant-ly walked over toward this group of tyrants, a whole long hair flying presumptuously within the night color.
The opposite several boys exchanged a look with each other, immediately scattering like birds and beasts. Qin Lan puckered her mouth without interest, turning her head to walk toward the two boys put down on the ground by her.
“You unexpectedly called people? Know what kind of people we are!” A boy shouted with inner fear yet outer strength.
“High school student small fart kids lo.” Qin Lan said with unimportance: “When this old mother went to school, you were still playing with mud.”
“Who are you saying is a small fart kid!” That boy turned angry, his hand propping the ground surface just wanting to jump up. But a bodyguard rapidly advanced a step, drawing him back to the ground surface with a leg.
“Why bully that girl?” Qin Lan asked heavily.
“Because she is a disgusting homosexual!”
“Oh.” Qin Lan said: “It seems after turning legal, homophobia on the contrary has become some kind of trend.”
“Homosexuality is exactly disgusting!” That boy spoke a malicious dirty phrase.
Qin Lan grand-and-arrogant-ly took off her sunglasses, her expression grim as she lowered her head to stare at him. The another boy was looked at by her until his entire body turned hairy, saying shrinkingly: “You guys cannot beat minors.”
“Possesses no matter.” The woman laughed fly-and-dominant-ly, squatting down to pat his face: “If I want to beat anyone, an eighty-year-old grandma also don’t think of escaping.”
“You… you possess no human nature!” The boys’ lips trembled.
“It is ‘filthy rich’ possesses no human nature.” Qin Lan threw down the bodyguard’s clothes to cover their faces, just wanting to rise up, someone then snatched away her hat.
“Who is it?” Unhappiness rose in her heart, proudly raising her head, and afterward she stopped speaking.
The two bodyguards trussed up the small fart kids, walking toward the distance.
Jiang Yan wore her hat, lowering her body to squat: “Raise your foot.”
Only then did Qin Lan notice she still carried her high-heeled shoes within her hand.
“Wait a bit to change in the car.” Qin Lan truly didn’t want to let her touch her own feet. Heaven knew whether she herself would because of being overly sensitive kick onto her face.
“Raise your foot.” Jiang Yan repeated.
Qin Lan un-willingly raised a single foot.
Jiang Yan extended her hand out again: “Please give me a pack of wet wipes.”
The female bodyguard rummaged within her suit pocket. Jiang Yan pulled out a piece of wipe, gently wiping her red and swollen foot soles. Fortunately between the dining villa and the overpass ran across a lawn, and the middle of the overpass furthermore was paved with carpet. otherwise they must be rubbed broken without exception.
Qin Lan shivered for an instant, her foot center both itchy and uncomfortable, her foot toes unable to restrain from hooking up. Jiang Yan wiped neither heavily nor lightly, her fingertips occasionally sweeping past her skin. Qin Lan shook as if standing unstably, extending her hand out again to catch hold of her hair.
“Teacher Qin truly likes to tug people’s hair.” Jiang Yan’s voice was very light: “No matter where it is always like this.”
Qin Lan reacted to the fact that the “where” she spoke of was specific, unable to restrain from hating until she gave another tug: “Dead Jiang Yan, phrases truly are many.”
Jiang Yan helped her wear her shoes well, her hair still messily hanging in front of her eyes. She carefully tidied it up, and afterward turned her body to go down the overpass.
“Hey, Jiang Yan.” Qin Lan shouted toward her back figure.
Jiang Yan as wished turned her head back, the expression revealed causing her to secretly wonder. For the first time she discovered within Jiang Yan’s gaze there was something flowing, exactly like river water waiting for the flowers above to fall.
She seems to be waiting for me. Qin Lan thought in her mind, she surged with a kind of desire to speak some words together with her, yet she didn’t know what she could speak. Her mouth opened and closed, in the end it was still that stiff phrase from before: “Return the hat to me.”
“No.” Jiang Yan said, at the identical time Qin Lan noticed that peculiar expression of hers which had caused her attention faded down. She wore her hat, speaking a single time again: “No.”
“What?” Qin Lan turned irritated: “That is my hat!”
“No.” Jiang Yan refused for the third time: “Now it is mine.”
Qin Lan’s anger fire was very flourishing, but at this time Yu Jintang’s assistant came to communicate the situation, and she then pressed down her temper. Yu Jintang and that girl went to make notes, and Qin Lan explained to the bodyguards to send those two boys caught along together, herself then strolling along the river to relax her mind.
The wine strength was all blown away by the wind. Only now did she recall that in the evening she mistakenly drank the wine within Yu Jintang’s cup; at the time of realizing this point, she happened to be walking on the high stone steps by the river side, the night wind blowing head-on.
Qin Lan was a bit cold. She shrunk her body, her body slightly swaying once. Crisp shoe heel knocking sounds rapidly came. She turned her head to look, Jiang Yan chased up, slightly panting.
“Why did you come?” Qin Lan flippantly raised her eyes. Jiang Yan definitely wanted to let her come down, or was holding a bad mind, but Jiang Yan spoke nothing, merely raising her hand high.
“What for?” Qin Lan asked, her beautiful eyes looking about.
“Teacher Qin, give your hand to me.”
Qin Lan recalled the sensation of physical contact together with her, a burst of un-comfortability rising in her heart center. Jiang Yan was quick of eye and deft of hand, rapidly pulling up her hand.
“What are you doing! You—you let go!” Qin Lan was startled into a jump, her head turning dizzy again. Over these three years she basically hadn’t drunk wine. Tonight merely drinking this tiny bit unexpectedly made her muddled until now.
Truly strange, when Jiang Yan’s fingers touched onto her, she unexpectedly felt a bit comfortable.
“Not letting go.” Jiang Yan said with a smile: “Teacher Qin is drunk, I am afraid Teacher Qin will tumble down to feed the fish.”
“Nonsense, which eye of yours saw this old mother drunk?” Qin Lan said angrily: “Only drank a single mouthful, that’s all.”
Jiang Yan merely smiled, holding her hand high, like a joyful knight. The low-hanging night curtain, the flashing cold stars, the willow-branch-like arm pulling her, and furthermore her inexplicable heartbeat. Tuberose emitted bursts of faint scent, the river water swaying the lights running across on the opposite bank into resembling shooting stars. Qin Lan turned her head away, looking at Jiang Yan with bewilderment, why is she so happy?
Yu Jintang pulled the girl to run to the distance before stopping. A bodyguard drove the car to lean over; she took a bottle of water to give to that girl, waiting until she finished drinking before opening her mouth to ask: “A bit better?”
The girl raised her head: “Thank you for saving me.”
Yu Jintang cast a glance at her, growing quite pleasing to the eye.
“What is your name?” She asked casually.
“My name is Lu Xi.”
“Oh… Lu Xi.” Yu Jintang asked: “Why did they chase you?”
Lu Xi lowered her head, turning silent.
“Alright.” Yu Jintang considerately shifted the topic: “In a bit we need to go make a note. Where do you live? After finishing I’ll have someone send you back.”
Lu Xi lightly pulled her clothing edge: “Can you not let me go home? My dad drank wine, every time he drinks wine he will beat me, I am so afraid.”
Yu Jintang paused for a moment, asking: “Is there anyone else within your home?”
“My mom passed away.”
Yu Jintang thought in her heart sure enough it was so, and Lu Xi spoke again: “I, I also don’t have money, but after two months my grandpa and grandma will come over; by that time I will be safe.”
“Then you don’t want to go home, and also have no money to go to a hotel, you want to leave together with me?” Yu Jintang raised her brows.
“Is it okay?” Lu Xi raised her head, looking at her expectantly: “You saved me, I know you are a good person.”
“Go make a note first.” Yu Jintang waved her hand noncommittally, walking to one side to speak two phrases together with the bodyguard: “Tonight you can first live together with me.”
Lu Xi let out a sigh of relief, following up.
After coming out from the police station, Yu Jintang asked: “Hungry yet? Taking you to eat something.”
Lu Xi nodded her head, urgently and busily pulling out her phone: “What do you want to eat? My treat.”
“Put it away, you.” Yu Jintang casually rested on her wrist to press downward: “Where is there a reason for eating yet letting a small friend stand treat.”
“I am not a small friend anymore.” Lu Xi held it in for half a day, winding to the front to argue: “I am already in high school.”
“Oh, a high-one small fart kid lo.”
“Not at all.” Lu Xi’s face flushed red: “My treat.”
“Oh, sure, you insist on treating and I have no choice either.” Yu Jintang turned amused, letting the driver stop in front of a private home cuisine restaurant, entering the room to order a table of good dishes, and furthermore opening a bottle of red wine: “Go settle the bill.”
Lu Xi: “……”
Lu Xi: “Count it as I owe you, in the future I will definitely return it.”
“Then you remember it yourself, alright quickly sit down to eat.”
Lu Xi sat down, cautiously extending her chopsticks, scooping a few pieces of vegetable leaves toward her own bowl.
“Eat more meat.” Yu Jintang used public chopsticks to scoop a few pieces of meat for her: “Tomorrow morning the driver will send you to go to school. I still have work, during the day I can’t take care of you.”
“Tomorrow is Saturday.” Lu Xi said in a small voice: “I don’t need to go to school.”
Once the production crew starts shooting they need to spin like a top for several months. Yu Jintang had long since forgotten what day it was today, letting out an “ah” sound and starting to mutter within her mind again: “Then you stay in the hotel by yourself?”
“I want to follow you.” Lu Xi looked at her eagerly: “Staying by myself is so boring. I won’t cause mess for you, I will be obediently good.”
Yu Jintang looked at her for a while, bursting out laughing with a puchi sound: “Yet saying you are not a small friend, speaking so innocently.”
Lu Xi was extremely irritated, yet Yu Jintang had already called people to pack it up. She had no choice but to follow the opponent to arrive at the hotel. The front desk saw Yu Jintang and enthusiastically called her Second Young Lady.
“Open a room for her, for two months.” Yu Jintang said.
Lu Xi lowered her head holding her schoolbag. Yu Jintang suddenly leaned over, the pin on her hat shaking unsteadily: “What are you thinking? A face full of loss, it couldn’t be because you want to live together with me right?”
Lu Xi reacted greatly by raising her head, her entire face turning red, only after a good half-day did she say stammeringly: “Ca, can I…”
“Of course not.” Yu Jintang laughed and rubbed her head, straightening her waist: “Small friend sleep early. If you want to go to work together with me, tomorrow morning you need to get up at five o’clock oh.”
The child had not yet deeply experienced the world, and receiving this large a fright tonight, it was too normal to instinctively want to stay together with her life-saving benefactor.
Yu Jintang herself had come over exactly like this. Looking at the Lu Xi of now was exactly like looking at the herself of back then, therefore she also cleared through more precisely what she ought to do, and also knew no matter what she did she also couldn’t change some matters that were already destined to come sooner or later. However this didn’t influence her life.
Lu Xi was sent by Yu Jintang to the room doorway, and afterward she left. Lu Xi swiped her card to enter the door, turning a circle within the room. Not unworthy of being a five-star hotel, even a standard room was luxurious to the point of making her not dare to imagine. She cautiously looked at her large bed, and after washing her face planned to sleep. Before sleeping she flipped her phone, suddenly remembering she furthermore had added the WeChat of that sister who saved her; she clicked in, inputting within the chat box: “Thank you sister for saving me today, sister rest early”
And afterward sent an expression pack.
Yu Jintang replied in seconds: “You too oh”
And returned an expression pack again.
Lu Xi unconsciously smiled, clicking into Yu Jintang’s avatar, planning to look at her Moments.
Upon entrance she fell silent.
First of all, this woman’s nickname was called “The Unrivaled Demon Venerable Who Is Evil, Charming, Arrogant, Domineering, Lonely As Snow, Cool, Melancholic, Gentle, And Crazy.” At the time of adding friends it already had thundered her once.
But the following Moments thundered her time and time again.
The pinned copywriting possessed only three characters: “Kill! Kill! Kill!”
Next was a row of three-character true mantras.
June 29: “Hate! Hate! Hate!”
June 7: “Famine! Famine! Famine!”
June 1: “Die! Die! Die!”
May 3: “Sword! Sword! Sword!”
April 21: “The heart, lonely as snow. The person, evil, charming, arrogant, and domineering.”
April 3: “Kill melancholy.”
April 1: “In this lifetime, I want to wash the globe with blood”
March 6: “Theoretically speaking, we can clutch the earphones into our hands; when it is not convenient to wear earphones, we can utilize the bone conduction principle to listen to songs”

Lu Xi silently retreated out, not even possessing the courage to finish reading.
Within the five-person small group there were quite a few messages.
At the very top were two pictures sent by Yu Jintang. Qin Lan saw the red dress and felt a start within her heart, hurriedly clicking to open and enlarge. Sure enough it was she, one was running wildly on the lawn, while the another was a downward split on the overpass top.
Yu Jintang: “Sister Qin is so handsome {rose}{rose}{rose}”
Yang Xingji: “???”
Yang Xingji: “I just sat in the car for a while, did Sister Qin take on a martial arts film”
Song Man: “I just practiced dancing for a while, has Qin Lan already changed into a monkey of the primeval forest?”
Yun Chui: “Put on your shoes, the ground is cool”
Song Man: “Yo, turns out some people are still alive”
Song Man stared at her phone for a long half-day, and Yun Chui’s avatar finally popped out: “Many thanks for the concern”
Yu Jintang: “Everyone don’t laugh at Old Qin anymore, Old Qin tonight not only didn’t wear shoes, but furthermore ate biche in front of Sister Nemesis”
Qin Lan turned violently angry, pressing down the voice: “Yu! Jin!! Tang!!!”
The chat records were pulled to the very bottom, and she had no choice but to pull upward for a long half-day again; under that execution information, Song Man and Yun Chui brushed a row of “elaborate”.
Yu Jintang: “Alright alright, everyone let Old Qin off, Old Qin is also quite not easy, being this unlucky tonight, and furthermore having to be laughed at by us. Everyone don’t laugh anymore, hahahahahahahahaha”
Yang Xingji: “Hahahahahahah”
Song Man: “Hahahahahahahahaha”
Yun Chui: “A Lan, bad reviews, don’t listen”
Yun Chui: “Hahahahahahahahaha”
Song Man rolled her eyes.
Yang Xingji: “Sister Qin’s two pictures were shot quite handsomely, it’s just how does it feel like it was secretly shot?”
Yu Jintang: “Take the ‘feel’ away, it exactly was secretly shot. When processing I felt it was quite good-looking, so I wanted a copy”
Song Man: “So what exactly did you guys go do tonight? Both nemesis and fight scenes.”
Yun Chui: “Wait a bit”
Song Man: “!!!”
Song Man: “Qin Lan you couldn’t have beaten Jiang Yan right!”
