My Ghostly Darling Cuddles Me Every Day - Chapter 27
Chapter 27: Jinjiang Literature City
When Bo Yu woke up, it was 4:00 AM again.
She skillfully pulled the restless Xiexie out from inside her pajamas and pinched Xiexie’s cheek.
Bo Yu turned on the light, turned off the camera, and sat at the head of the bed holding Xiexie in a daze.
Was the medicine prescribed by Dr. Chu Jingzhi taking too long to work? Otherwise, why would she dream of Xie Yinwan again?
She dreamed of Xie Yinwan weeping under a romantic peach blossom tree; she dreamed of shielding Xie Yinwan from the rain; she dreamed of taking Xie Yinwan to the amusement park of her childhood, eating ice cream together, and riding the Ferris wheel together—just like the romantic dates she had imagined when she was little.
Not only that, she and Xie Yinwan kissed in the amusement park and did “that thing” on the Ferris wheel.
Actually, those parts were fine. Having never been in a relationship, dating in a dream could be considered a form of release and wish fulfillment. But she actually dreamed of having a heart-to-heart with Xie Yinwan at the door of a wooden cabin, getting married to her, bowing to Heaven and Earth, and drinking the nuptial cup of wine together.
She was being too improper; she had so many subconscious and improper thoughts deep within her.
Bo Yu helplessly poked Xiexie’s face. This time the ceremony hadn’t been completed. She didn’t know if the next time she saw Xie Yinwan in a dream, Xie Yinwan would cry at her again.
She was quite afraid of Xie Yinwan crying; she cried so sorrowfully and piteously that it made Bo Yu’s heart ache.
At this moment, Xie Yinwan was standing invisibly by the bed, her eyes blazing with fire, so angry she wanted to smash things.
The Ferris wheel wasn’t finished, and the wedding wasn’t finished. Was this brat Bo Yu doing it on purpose?!
If this had been any other little ghost, she would have moved to kill them long ago!!!
“Xiexie, shall we learn to read?” Bo Yu said softly to Xiexie at this time.
Learning to read?
Xie Yinwan’s anger dissipated slightly. She drifted into Xiexie’s body. Learning to read for now was fine; she would settle the score with Bo Yu the next time they met.
She already knew Bo Yu was afraid of her crying. Next time, she would cry and make a fuss at Bo Yu, making Bo Yu compensate her for everything.
Bo Yu carried Xiexie to the desk, took out paper and pen, and taught Xiexie to recognize characters stroke by stroke.
Like teaching an elementary student, she started with “Heaven, Earth, Man, You, Me, Her.”
Xie Yinwan was not unfamiliar with these characters, they were just a bit blurry. Now that Bo Yu was teaching her so carefully, she picked it up very quickly.
Perhaps she was naturally brilliant, but Xie Yinwan learned as if she had a photographic memory, remembering everything clearly after basically one repetition.
Bo Yu seemed not to know exhaustion, continuing to write, read, and explain key points, unhurriedly teaching Xiexie for two hours.
Xie Yinwan didn’t want to miss a single word Bo Yu said and listened very seriously.
After sunrise, Bo Yu put Xiexie down and took the camera upstairs to review the footage from last night.
As expected, she saw the footage of Xiexie flying back and forth during the night again.
Xiexie liked to wiggle its butt; it was quite cute.
Thinking that inside Xiexie’s body was the seductive-looking yet cold-auraed Xie Yinwan, Bo Yu felt that Xie Yinwan wasn’t that cold anymore—she was actually a bit cute.
In her spare time, Bo Yu made “Wife Cakes” again and shared them with her family. She also took the time to burn peach blossom wine and a set of light lavender purple Wei-Jin style Hanfu for Xie Yinwan, intending to ask for feedback the next time they met.
Regarding the medicine Dr. Chu gave her, she thought about it—Chinese medicine isn’t a miracle cure and is likely slow-acting, requiring gradual conditioning. So, she continued to take it on schedule.
In the blink of an eye, the three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday arrived. The festival fell on the third day, so for the first two days, the Bo family members made their own entertainment arrangements. The Old Lady didn’t force everyone to spend the entire holiday together.
Early on the first day of the holiday, Bo Yu put an earbud in her left ear, put on a sun hat, placed Xiexie in her bag, and drove to the park.
After parking, Bo Yu took the folding bike out of the trunk and unfolded it. She then placed Xiexie, who was wearing a Bohemian-style long dress and a straw hat, into the front basket. She even put a small pair of sunglasses on Xiexie and slowly rode the bike around the lake.
She didn’t know if Xie Yinwan was currently inside Xiexie’s body, but Xie Yinwan had told her to take Xiexie out during the day to collect energy, so she brought it along.
The sky was clear, the weather was beautiful, and the breeze was gentle.
Bo Yu breathed in the fresh outdoor air relaxingly. As if she were on a phone call, she said cheerfully to Xiexie, “The weather is great today, let’s wander outside all day so you can absorb more energy.”
Xie Yinwan sat in the basket, swaying with the bumps of the bike, also in a very good mood.
In dreams, she saw the scenery and colors through Bo Yu’s eyes; that was an incomparably beautiful world.
Outside of dreams, although she couldn’t see colors, Bo Yu accompanied her to see the scenery and the sun. She could already feel the beauty of the living world and the beauty of Bo Yu.
Bo Yu circled the lake twice, speaking many, many things softly to Xiexie, as if she were taking a one-year-old daughter out. Whatever common knowledge came to mind, she would tell Xiexie.
From small things like “people should be polite and not litter,” to big things like “our country is incredibly powerful,” she told Xiexie about history, humanities, and things that happened when she was a child.
Xie Yinwan listened carefully, her mind never wandering for a moment.
After touring the lake, Bo Yu drove to the seaside and took Xiexie on a yacht into the deep sea. She also told Xiexie about the seven continents and four oceans, tides, diving, and whale watching.
The person operating the boat was an auntie. Seeing the customer wearing an earbud and talking the whole time, she stopped the boat to rest and asked, “Are you on the phone with a child?”
Bo Yu smiled: “Yes, I’m explaining things to my daughter.”
Xie Yinwan, who was swaying so much she was almost seasick: “…”
Fine, I’ll reluctantly be Bo Yu’s daughter. Since Bo Yu’s voice is so pleasant to listen to, I like hearing it.
The auntie was quite surprised: “I couldn’t tell! You look so young, I thought you were a college student. You have a child already?”
Bo Yu smiled: “Yes, I have one. A very cute little baby.”
“Then why didn’t you bring your baby out to play?”
Bo Yu picked up Xiexie and gave it a shake: “She’s still small and can’t be brought out yet. I’ll bring her out to play in the future.”
“Yes, it’s inconvenient to bring a small baby out; you have to carry so many big and small bags,” the auntie smiled at the doll in Bo Yu’s arms. “Is this your daughter’s doll? Cute.”
Bo Yu lightly smiled and patted Xiexie’s stomach: “It is cute. Just as cute as my daughter.”
Around noon, Bo Yu took Xiexie to eat and reapply sunscreen. She sprayed a lot on herself and also sprayed quite a bit on Xiexie.
“This is called sunscreen spray. After spraying this, we won’t get tanned; we’ll stay white.”
Bo Yu continued to explain to Xiexie.
No matter what she thought of, she would tell it to Xiexie.
Xie Yinwan couldn’t feel the spray on her face, but she could see the mist. Like fine rain, it made her feel very comfortable.
In the afternoon, Bo Yu drove to a camping base on the mountain, set up a tent, turned on two fully charged fans, opened the tent’s skylight, and lay in the tent watching the sky with Xiexie.
“If only you could speak,” Bo Yu murmured to herself for most of the day. Her throat was inevitably dry, and she wanted to hear the other person speak.
Xie Yinwan, who was lying on Bo Yu’s heart watching the sky, opened her mouth and then closed it again.
She actually could speak, but she didn’t want to.
She liked this sense of mystery, liked observing Bo Yu secretly, admiring Bo Yu, being attached to Bo Yu, and she also liked hearing Bo Yu tirelessly tell all those things to her.
Even though Bo Yu was just talking to a doll, she liked Bo Yu’s patience, seriousness, and tenderness.
“It’s still a little lonely,” Bo Yu said softly.
She was unilaterally sharing her feelings with Xiexie and wasn’t getting any feedback or emotional value, so it was still a bit disappointing.
“If Xie Yinwan could take me out to play for another night on Mid-Autumn Festival, that would be great. Although the moon on the 15th isn’t as round as on the 16th, it’s still very round and beautiful.”
Bo Yu said softly.
Xie Yinwan’s ears twitched.
Then she gave a light hmph.
Beg me, beg me, and I’ll take you out to play.
“But Xie Yinwan said ‘only this once, never again,’ so there probably won’t be a next time,” Bo Yu sighed regretfully.
Xie Yinwan: “…”
There is a next time.
She’s a ghost; who believes what a ghost says?
Ghost talk, ghost talk—ghosts never keep their word.
Little fool, Xie Yinwan laughed atop Bo Yu.
Then this Immortal will take the initiative to take you out.
Bo Yu wandered outside for a full day before returning home, arriving just before sunset. As soon as she entered the door, she heard the sound of mahjong tiles clashing.
Old Lady Bo was a workaholic, but even workaholics loved mahjong. Sometimes she went out to play with friends, and sometimes when there were enough people at home, they played at the house.
Today it was the Old Lady, the Second Aunt, Bo Mi, and Sheng Nanyan playing. From the atmosphere, it was clear that the brothers Bo Qin and Bo Nuo were not at home.
Sheng Nanyan looked up and saw Bo Yu was back. Bo Yu had a rosy complexion and clear skin, appearing even more beautiful than when she left in the morning.
Nanyan’s gaze lingered imperceptibly on Bo Yu’s reddened collarbone for a moment, then she said with a gentle smile, “Xiao Yu is back. Quickly, come take over for me; I’m about to lose everything.”
The Second Aunt turned her head and waved her hand: “Xiao Yu, don’t take over for Nanyan. Nanyan has bad luck. Come take over for me; I have good luck.”
As she spoke, Second Aunt pushed out a tile.
“Pong,” Bo Mi called the set, snatching her mother’s tile. “Oh please, you and Nanyan are losing about the same; neither is better than the other.”
Bo Yu walked over with a smile and looked at the chips on the table: “Grandmother and Sister are winning? Then I’ll take over Grandmother’s hand.”
The Old Lady hurriedly pushed Bo Yu’s waist: “Go, go, don’t take over my hand. I’m currently winning.”
Bo Yu had a ticklish spot on her waist and immediately laughed at being pushed, covering her waist and dodging back: “Don’t pinch me.”
Nanyan inadvertently glanced toward Bo Yu’s side waist.
“Oh my,” the Old Lady joked, looking up at her. “Are you trying to scam me, little kid? I just pushed you once; where did I pinch you?”
Bo Mi bantered: “She was pinched, I saw it. You old lady pinched our Second Miss’s waist until it turned red.”
Sheng Nanyan smiled lightly. Bo Yu was wearing casual pants and a T-shirt today; the waistband pulled the T-shirt tight, showing off her slender waist, but not half an inch of skin was exposed. How could it be pinched red?
“Yes, it’s pinched red,” Bo Yu had washed her hands at the outdoor sink before coming in. She smiled and bent down to take a piece of the waffle next to her grandmother’s hand to eat. “So I’ll take over your hand. I’m going to take a shower, and after I’m done, I’ll come over and drive you away.”
The Old Lady obviously knew Bo Yu was teasing her, and she could see that Bo Yu had had a good time today. Her face was rosy, and the light in her eyes was much brighter. She smiled and patted the back of Bo Yu’s hand: “Fine, go shower quickly. After you’re done, take over Nanyan’s hand, and Nanyan can help me look at mine.”
“Okay.”
Bo Yu took Xiexie back to her room, turned on the TV to play Journey to the West, and went to the bathroom to shower and apply a face mask.
After wandering outside for a day, although she wore a hat and sprayed sunscreen, her face was still hot and flushed.
Quickly finishing her shower and blow-drying her hair until it was seventy percent dry, Bo Yu went downstairs to take over Nanyan’s spot. She sat where Nanyan had just been and continued the game, while Nanyan went to sit beside the Old Lady.
Bo Mi sniffed: “So fragrant. Our Second Miss is so fragrant after her shower; she’s even more fragrant than the Fragrant Concubine.”
Bo Yu smiled and tucked her hair back, sniffing the ends of her hair herself. Because she was in a very good mood today, her tone was very light and relaxed: “It is fragrant. Sister, take a sniff.”
Bo Mi pretended to be disgusted and pushed her away: “I don’t want to smell it.”
Nanyan sat by the Old Lady’s side looking at the tiles. She also smelled the fragrance on Bo Yu—a scent of agarwood with a hint of dampness. It was very pleasant and captivating.
After she and Bo Qin registered their marriage and officially moved into the Bo house, she gradually got to know this Second Miss.
The longer they spent together, the more she felt that Bo Yu was different from all the other girls she knew.
She was only three years older than Bo Yu, yet Bo Yu was able to interact with her as a friend. Whether in public or in private when it was just the two of them, Bo Yu’s attitude toward her was consistent, and she never said anything sarcastic to her.
Certain feelings had grown quietly during these daily interactions.
She also gradually became certain that Bo Yu’s pheromone scent smelled much better than Bo Qin’s.
Bo Mi teased Bo Yu a couple more times.
The Grandmother liked to arrange and shuffle the tiles manually rather than using an automatic mahjong machine. Shuffling the tiles, Bo Yu smiled and said, “Alright, stop making fun of me.”
“You went out for a day with Zhu Ying and came back in such a good mood; we aren’t allowed to tease you?” Bo Mi joked on purpose.
Bo Yu smiled: “I didn’t go out with Zhu Ying. I went by myself.”
“Huh?”
The four people simultaneously looked at Bo Yu in surprise: “You went out by yourself?”
The family knew Bo Yu’s habits. When she stayed at home, she was used to being alone, but if she went out shopping, Bo Yu was more accustomed to having someone accompany her. Otherwise, she would feel an awkward sense of being watched and judged; she would be uncomfortable.
This wasn’t Bo Yu being sensitive; Bo Yu was indeed so beautiful that she easily attracted people’s gazes.
Not only were her features beautiful, but she was also a “durable” beauty—no aggression, only an attractiveness that grew the more one looked, making it hard for people to stop staring.
Bo Yu clearly didn’t like going out alone, so why did she suddenly change her habit and go out by herself, and even return in such a good mood?
Bo Yu tilted her head slightly and moved the mahjong tiles in her hand, saying, “I took Xiexie out. Xiexie accompanied me, so it wasn’t as uncomfortable.”
The Old Lady, Bo Mi, and Nanyan each smiled or shook their heads, and no one teased Bo Yu further.
Bo Yu liked playing with dolls; it was her personal hobby and should be respected.
Well, the companionship of a doll was still a form of companionship.
But Second Aunt Fang Zheng said one thing: “Those dolls don’t have life. Xiao Yu, you should still call us when you go out in the future, otherwise other people will think it’s weird.”
Bo Yu’s hand movements paused slightly.
“How is it weird?” Bo Mi was not polite when countering her mother, casting a cold sideways glance. “Is it weird to bring a doll? Xiao Yu didn’t steal or rob anyone.”
When Second Aunt heard the word “steal,” her expression became awkward, and she whispered a complaint about her daughter not siding with her mother.
The Old Lady spoke up to move past the topic, not letting the mother and daughter start a fight.
Sheng Nanyan’s seat indeed had very bad luck. Bo Yu played two rounds and didn’t win a single hand. Originally, her posture was very upright, but now she had become lazy, her body softening. She propped her cheek with her left hand, her right hand feeling weak and uninterested.
“What are you playing?”
Suddenly, a curious voice came from her left shoulder.
Bo Yu’s interest was instantly piqued. Her body sat up straighter, and while pressing the earbud in her left ear, she said, “I… heard you. We’re playing mahjong.”
As she spoke, she explained to the others: “It’s a call from Zhu Ying.”
The Old Lady raised an eyebrow and looked over at Bo Yu a few more times, especially at Bo Yu’s left side.
“No wonder I saw you wearing the earbud earlier. Do you need to discuss company matters? Do we need to wait for you while you take the call?” the Old Lady asked.
Xie Yinwan: “No.”
Bo Yu then said: “No, just chatting. It’s fine.”
Xie Yinwan leaned on Bo Yu’s back, her hands wrapping around Bo Yu’s waist, and said with interest, “Teach me.”
Bo Yu looked down at Xie Yinwan’s arms. Xie Yinwan had changed into the new light lavender purple clothes she had burned. It was a beautiful color. While the clothes alone had looked just “okay,” after Xie Yinwan put them on, the color seemed to gain texture, with a flowing light as they moved—they were much more beautiful.
Bo Yu liked these reactions from Xie Yinwan.
Furthermore, she noticed that every time Xie Yinwan saw her, she seemed to be wearing a new set; she never wore the same clothes twice.
Bo Yu nodded with a smile and, while playing a Nine of Myriads tile, said, “Nine of Myriads. If you have three identical ones, you can call a ‘Pong’.”
Bo Mi: “?”
“What’s going on? Does Zhu Ying not know how to play mahjong? You’re actually teaching her?” Bo Mi asked.
Bo Yu: “Yeah, she doesn’t know how. Just chatting, it’s fine. You guys don’t need to mind me.”
Xie Yinwan looked at Bo Yu’s tiles and saw two identical ones. She drifted over to look at the other three people’s tiles in turn, then drifted back. She pointed her finger at the Two of Circles in Bo Yu’s hand and said, “Your grandmother has two of these in her hand.”
Bo Yu was surprised.
Can you even cheat like this?
The Old Lady was also surprised: “Oh my, it’s getting late. It’s almost time for dinner. Shall we just end the game?”
“Don’t!”
Bo Yu sat up even straighter, saying with great interest, “Keep playing, don’t stop. No one is allowed to leave today. We have to continue even after dinner.”
Old Lady: “…”
Second Aunt laughed: “Oh, it’s rare for Xiao Yu to be so interested. The last time I saw Xiao Yu interested in something was fishing. Then let’s not stop; let’s stay and play with Xiao Yu.”
Bo Yu had never really liked Second Aunt, including the small episode earlier and the way Second Aunt acted as a “good person” while having crooked ideas, but at this moment, Bo Yu gave Second Aunt a friendly smile: “Thank you, Second Aunt.”
Nanyan also sided with Bo Yu: “Then whoever gets tired can call me; I’ll take turns at the table to accompany Xiao Yu.”
Bo Yu curved her lips into a smile.
Xie Yinwan also curved her lips. Then she stroked Bo Yu’s neck, her nose coming close to the corner of Bo Yu’s lips, taking a deep sniff, almost like a kiss.
Bo Yu: “…”
Get used to it, just get used to it.
Bo Yu occasionally taught Xie Yinwan how to play, and Xie Yinwan occasionally drifted to the other three’s tiles to peek. After peeking, she would return and boldly tell Bo Yu what to play and what not to play.
One person and one ghost cheated openly, and so the chips on Bo Yu’s table grew more and more, until Bo Yu had to stuff some into the small drawer under the table.
The Old Lady’s temples throbbed as she squinted. Bo Mi was happy to play with Bo Yu. Second Aunt was losing; her face was smiling but her heart was uncomfortable. Nanyan looked at Bo Yu with increasing admiration.
“Xiao Yu, are you happy?” Xie Yinwan asked in a soft voice, hugging Bo Yu from behind and smelling the fragrance on top of her head.
Though her voice was soft, it was still a bit cold.
Bo Yu ignored the coldness and nodded with a light smile: “Happy.”
She hadn’t felt such obvious happiness in a while. The last time should have been when Xie Yinwan took her out—when she saw the night view and the cross-sea bridge—and then this time.
“Thank you,” Bo Yu thanked her sincerely, while raising her hand to press the earbud.
But her movement went still for a moment.
“Xiao Yu, what’s wrong?” Nanyan was watching Bo Yu at all times.
Bo Yu shook her head and lowered her hand.
She didn’t know if it was an illusion, but she thought she had just touched Xie Yinwan’s arm that was around her shoulder. There was a physical sensation, as if she were being blocked, unlike before when she would pass right through.
But that was impossible; Xie Yinwan had said she would never be able to touch her.
“Nothing. The signal for the call with Zhu Ying was bad just now.”
“Mhm.”
Sheng Nanyan lowered her head, lightly poking a piece of fruit to eat.
Bo Yu had been having long phone calls with Zhu Ying recently. Had something happened between them?
Tonight’s winner, Bo Yu, had won almost all of Second Aunt’s and Bo Mi’s chips. The Grandmother and Nanyan shared one hand to prevent the Grandmother from being uncomfortable from sitting too long; Nanyan and Grandmother swapped twice, so they neither won nor lost.
At the stage of calculating the chips, Bo Mi was seriously converting them to RMB, preparing to transfer the money to Bo Yu. Even when playing with family, one should be a good sport and settle the accounts clearly.
Bo Yu smiled and pushed all her chips to the center of the table: “Let’s not count it.”
Bo Mi: “Huh? Not counting it?”
Bo Yu: “Mhm, not counting.”
The result wasn’t important; the process of playing happily was enough.
Second Aunt Fang Zheng felt relieved in her heart; she really didn’t want to pay.
Bo Mi glanced at her mother, suppressed the urge to roll her eyes, and said she would listen to Bo Yu, while thinking of giving Bo Yu a small gift to make up for the money.
Xie Yinwan held Bo Yu from behind. she knew some gamblers were very annoying, so she liked the non-greedy Bo Yu, and she kissed Bo Yu’s fragrant neck several times.
Bo Yu’s casual movement of turning her head to fix her hair exposed her long, slender neck for Xie Yinwan to smell.
She had always thought Xie Yinwan was just smelling her.
And she had always thought Xie Yinwan simply liked the scent on her.
The Old Lady slowly stood up by leaning on the table and looked intentionally or unintentionally at the white side of Bo Yu’s neck.
Back in the bedroom that night, Bo Yu locked the door with a smile. Just as she was about to turn around and thank Xie Yinwan, she heard Xie Yinwan’s cold voice ring in her ear.
“Take off your clothes yourself.”
“…”
Why is she cold again?
But thank God, Xie Yinwan finally stopped ripping her clothes directly.
Those two times, she had quietly taken the shredded clothes out to throw away, afraid the cleaning lady would find them and think she was strange.
But being told to take off her clothes herself seemed even worse than having Xie Yinwan do it.
Bo Yu was wearing milk-white silk pajamas in a shirt style. She walked to the bed and slowly unbuttoned them, saying, “Good evening, Immortal. Thank you for tonight.”
Xie Yinwan stood proudly in front of her with her hands behind her back: “Hmph.”
Bo Yu: “?”
Everything was fine for the past two hours, so why exactly does it become bad as soon as we return to my bedroom?
Xie Yinwan was still angry about the unfinished business on the Ferris wheel and not drinking the nuptial wine, so angry she wanted to smash things in Bo Yu’s room.
But she remembered Bo Yu had mysophobia and obsessive-compulsive disorder, remembered that Bo Yu didn’t like her smashing things, and also Bo Yu said smashing things was impolite behavior, so she didn’t flick her sleeves.
She also remembered that Bo Yu had taken her traveling through the mountains and waters all day, and the anger in her heart dissipated a bit.
Though it had dissipated a bit, she still wanted to act very angry, because she wanted to hear Bo Yu coax her.
Xie Yinwan turned around unhappily to watch the Journey to the West playing on TV, her back to Bo Yu.
That Tang Monk was truly long-winded and troublesome; that monkey was more interesting, not hesitating to kill demons—he was a good monkey.
Bo Yu slowly took off her pajama shirt, folded it, and placed it to the side. First, she praised Xie Yinwan’s back: “Immortal, you look very beautiful in this purple outfit.”
Last time Xie Yinwan had nitpicked, asking why she didn’t praise her beauty.
This time, she would take the initiative to praise.
Xie Yinwan didn’t know this was purple; she only judged the different clothes through the different brightness levels of gray.
She said coldly: “Does this Immortal’s beauty even need your praise? Take off your clothes.”
Bo Yu: “…”
So does she need me to praise her or not? It’s different every time.
Bo Yu awkwardly bent over to take off her pajama pants, folded them, and placed them on top of the shirt.
Finally, only a set of white underwear remained. Bo Yu tried to chat in a small voice again: “Does the Immortal like the winter mushroom cakes I burned for you?”
Xie Yinwan turned to look at Bo Yu, appreciative of Bo Yu’s beautiful body for a couple of glances, then cast a cold, casual look over, asking coldly, “Isn’t it called ‘Wife Cake’?”
Bo Yu: “?”
Xie Yinwan knows it’s called Wife Cake; did she really hear the conversation between her and Nanyan?
“That’s just a common name,” Bo Yu pretended to fix her hair, bringing her long hair to the front to cover her body, while explaining gently, “That shortbread is made of pumpkin filling, which is also called winter melon puree, or winter mushroom filling. The name ‘Winter Mushroom Cake’ is more formal. I think you are so sacred, Immortal, that I should use a more formal name when speaking to you.”
“Oh?” Xie Yinwan drifted over, floating in the air to look down at Bo Yu: “This Immortal thought you had some wishful, deep meaning.”
Bo Yu hurriedly let go of her hair and waved both hands frantically: “No, no, no, I definitely don’t mean that!”
As a result, Xie Yinwan’s eyes turned cold, and she became even angrier!
Why don’t you mean that!!!
“Take it off,” Xie Yinwan’s voice instantly dropped several degrees in coldness, and the temperature in the room also plummeted. “Or are you waiting for this Immortal to do it herself?”
“…No need.”
Bo Yu bit her lip lightly. Her lower lip was marked by her teeth, bitten until it turned pale and bloodless.
Half a minute later.
Xie Yinwan curled her lips in satisfaction. She looked up and down, back and forth at Bo Yu several times with satisfaction, then waved her sleeve.
Bo Yu flew onto the bed, floating there in an ‘X’ shape.
She had burned four sets of clothes for Xie Yinwan, and now there happened to be four hair ribbons, tied respectively to her hands and feet.
Before Xie Yinwan drifted over to lie on Bo Yu, Bo Yu spoke first and asked, “So does the Immortal prefer peach blossom shortbread or winter mushroom cakes?”
Xie Yinwan hooked Xiexie over to play with it in her hand, acting as if she wasn’t very interested: “Peach blossom shortbread, I suppose.”
Bo Yu understood.
Xie Yinwan liked peach blossom wine and peach blossom shortbread. Xie Yinwan must really like the scent of peach blossoms or the element of peach blossoms.
Then next time she would send Xie Yinwan a peach blossom fan.
She also wanted to send Xie Yinwan a set of clothes embroidered with peach blossom elements, but the Hanfu shop she usually visited didn’t have any, so she would make a set for Xie Yinwan herself.
There was still some time before the weather turned cold. The plan for making thick clothes for the Grandmother could be delayed for two days; she would make something for Xie Yinwan first.
Xie Yinwan didn’t drift onto Bo Yu. She sat casually on the sewing machine table watching TV. Bo Yu ignored her current state and continued to ask, “Does the Immortal like watching Journey to the West? I like it very much. What about you, Immortal?”
Xie Yinwan actually liked it very much, but she said coldly with little interest, “Boring. Not a single one looks good.”
Bo Yu’s mind moved.
“The Tang Monk doesn’t look good either?”
“Not good-looking.”
“…”
Bo Yu was ninety percent certain now—the one who accompanied her in the office to watch Journey to the West was Xie Yinwan.
Firstly, she hadn’t said that the drama currently playing on the TV was Journey to the West. Secondly, the fourth episode had just reached the middle, and the title “Tang Monk” hadn’t appeared yet; the name “Xuanzang” appeared first.
But she had told the story to Xiexie in the office, talked about the opening and ending, talked about the four masters and disciples, and talked about the Tang Monk.
Xie Yinwan hated other people’s scents, so it was impossible for Xie Yinwan to have drifted into someone else’s house to watch their Journey to the West, right?
If Xie Yinwan could watch other people’s TVs, her common knowledge wouldn’t be so confusing.
Bo Yu was about to ask more when suddenly Xie Yinwan’s expression changed. She looked up coldly.
Bo Yu: “?”
What happened?
Xie Yinwan’s gaze made her feel cold inside. She also looked up, not knowing who Xie Yinwan was glaring at.
The rooms of the Bo family were arranged according to seniority. The three sisters lived on the second floor.
The eldest Bo Qin and his wife, the second Bo Nuo and his wife, and the youngest Bo Qian (who was overseas) lived on the third floor.
The Old Lady, the butler, and the occasional medical team lived on the fourth floor.
The room directly above Bo Yu’s belonged to her aunt and was vacant year-round.
Suddenly, Xie Yinwan drifted out.
Bo Yu, whose limbs were still tied by hair ribbons and was floating a meter above the bed: “??”
Xie Yinwan just left? She’s leaving me like this??
Xie Yinwan frowned unhappily and, following a strange sound, drifted into a bedroom, then into the bathroom inside.
She saw Sheng Nanyan.
Sheng Nanyan was soaking in the bathtub, looking at her phone. There was no one else in the bedroom or bathroom.
When they were playing mahjong, Xie Yinwan heard them mention that the brothers Bo Qin and Bo Nuo were not coming home.
Xie Yinwan drifted over to look at Sheng Nanyan’s phone.
Upon seeing it, Xie Yinwan’s eyes instantly widened, and they also instantly lit up.
Interesting, this is interesting!
Xie Yinwan tilted her head to watch Sheng Nanyan’s phone.
On the phone screen, two women were kissing, even more passionately than the two women she had seen kissing in the car by the sea.
Xie Yinwan watched with full attention. The more she watched, the more energized and excited she became.
The beginning was kissing, but later the two weren’t just kissing.
Bo Qin wasn’t coming back tonight, so Sheng Nanyan was idly watching this short clip. Gradually, her breathing became hurried and urgent. She lightly held her breath and tilted her head back, her right hand reaching into the water.
Her and Bo Qin’s bedroom was very soundproof; it was something Bo Qin had specially made.
Bo Qin always had high interest, and it was always embarrassing to be heard by the family.
Because it was soundproof, Sheng Nanyan didn’t wear headphones while watching the clip; she only turned the volume down slightly, enough for her to hear.
When Bo Yu returned from outside this evening, her face was rosy and delicate, like a tender flower.
Bo Yu also kept smiling while playing mahjong tonight. Bo Yu’s laughter was very soft, occasionally short and a bit breathless. Hearing it, she developed improper fantasies.
These fantasies had persisted until now, becoming more and more irrepressible. Sheng Nanyan squinted her eyes and bit her lip, imagining that the two women in the clip were her and Bo Yu, passionately imagining it.
Xie Yinwan was focusing all her attention on those beautiful images. As she watched, the phone screen suddenly began to shake violently, making it so she couldn’t even see the figures clearly.
Not only was the phone shaking, she saw that Sheng Nanyan was also shaking, especially her right arm which was shaking intensely, making the water ripples very turbulent.
Xie Yinwan realized what was happening late and her expression changed, her face darkening.
