My Ex’s White Moonlight Omega Has a Crush on Me - Chapter 4
The moment the woman touched her, the pleasant fragrance intensified several times over.
It was like standing in a flower field after rain, where snow-white blossoms adorned with crystal-clear dewdrops released a delicate, subtle scent. The coolness soothed the burning heat at the nape of Chao Wan’s neck.
A hazy mist clouded Chao Wan’s eyes, her cheeks flushed with a delicate pink as she lost herself in a daze.
Her lips parted slightly as she met the woman’s amber gaze, then shifted to her bare, rosy lips, still damp from her bath.
Already prone to face blindness and now further disoriented by her feverish state, only one thought surfaced in Chao Wan’s mind:
This person is so cool, so fragrant.
Much, much more fragrant than the dress.
She tilted her head slightly, curling obediently into the woman’s palm, nuzzling her cheek in a gesture of affection.
Suddenly, the hand cupping her chin tightened its grip.
What had felt cold just moments before now seemed to absorb Chao Wan’s scorching body heat, turning warm.
“Answer me,” Ji Tanyue’s voice was slightly hoarse. “How did you get in?”
The woman wore a black silk bathrobe that accentuated her fair skin, but now a faint blush tinged her neck, and her face was flushed crimson.
Affected by Chao Wan’s bold actions, the layers of scent in the air gradually deepened, shifting into a slightly bitter woody note entwined with the intensifying rich floral fragrance.
The contrast was silently alluring, evoking a burning warmth in one’s cheeks.
Both restrained and captivating.
Chao Wan looked up at Ji Tanyue, her eyes dazed.
But the cold, stern tone of the question struck her ears, and she immediately felt wronged, tears welling up in her eyes.
Soon, warm teardrops fell into the woman’s palm.
A flicker of panic crossed Ji Tanyue’s eyes. She released her grip, crouching down to meet Chao Wan’s gaze.
At a loss, she gently smoothed Chao Wan’s sweat-dampened hair.
But just as she thought to withdraw her hand and carry Chao Wan to the bed to apply a suppressant patch, her wrist was seized by the aggrieved little Omega.
“Sister…”
Chao Wan’s cheeks were tinged with a faint pink, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears as she buried her face once more in Ji Tanyue’s palm.
A pale mole on her high nose bridge faintly appeared.
Her expression dazed, she lowered her head, planting soft, lingering kisses along the woman’s slender fingers.
Her hair was slightly disheveled, a few strands clinging to her snow-white cheeks, damp with sweat from her feverish state.
Like a wounded bird with damp feathers, seeking warmth in a hunter’s palm.
Though her features were naturally cool and aloof, her current actions inexplicably carried a hint of seductive charm that invited wild imaginings.
Ji Tanyue’s shoulders trembled slightly, her breathing growing heavier.
She did not resist, her thumb gently stroking the Omega’s smooth, soft cheek.
The gland at the nape of her neck throbbed erratically, a burning, swollen sensation threatening to overwhelm her reason.
Every second of restraint was agony.
The sensation in her palm was as soft as a cloud, her mind flooded with images of pinning the Omega to the ground, kissing her breathless until she sobbed and begged for mercy.
But just then, accompanied by the unfamiliar scent of an Alpha, light footsteps echoed from the doorway.
A prey within an Alpha’s scent range being coveted by a detestable rival was something no Alpha could tolerate.
Ji Tanyue’s lips pressed into a tight line, her mind agitated by an overwhelming possessiveness, her gland throbbing incessantly.
She casually grabbed a remote control and pressed a button.
The hotel’s automatic door slid shut, followed by the distinct click of a lock engaging.
The scent of pheromones was instantly sealed off.
The stranger outside the door, driven by Alpha instincts, paced restlessly until the maddeningly sweet scent in the air faded away. Only then did he quiet down and reluctantly leave.
Silence returned both inside and outside the room.
Frightened by the sudden intrusion of the unfamiliar Alpha’s pheromones, Chao Wan curled up by the bedside, her eyelashes trembling as she tried to make herself smaller, sobbing softly under her breath.
The intent behind the presence outside the door was too blatant, its oppressive force making it hard for her to even breathe, let alone resist or refuse.
Suddenly, a rich, intoxicating fragrance enveloped her.
Ji Tanyue leaned in, wrapping an arm around Chao Wan’s waist, lifting her effortlessly into an embrace.
The bed dipped slightly under their weight.
The air was thick with the cool, floral scent. Chao Wan’s vision grew hazy, and she didn’t even notice her wrists being pinned on either side, leaving her unable to struggle.
The woman maintained this position, burying her face in the crook of Chao Wan’s neck.
Her warm breath trembled faintly. Her lips brushed against the nape of Chao Wan’s neck, as if thirsting for a taste of sweet dew.
The fear of being marked was an innate instinct for Omegas, and a sense of danger began to creep into Chao Wan’s heart.
The cool floral scent gradually turned into a scorching, oppressive force. Panic-stricken, tears rolled down her cheeks as she pushed against the woman’s shoulders. “No…”
Ji Tanyue froze, her breathing still ragged, but she forcibly stopped herself.
Clenching her fingers until they turned white, she pressed her lips tightly together and stumbled off the bed. She frantically pressed the air purification button on the control panel several times before hastily rummaging through the bedside drawer.
A flash of pink caught her eye, followed by a tearing sound.
The woman lifted her long, wavy hair, her fingers trembling as she clumsily pressed a pink suppressant patch over the reddened area on the back of her neck.
Against the black silk robe, the pink patch stood out starkly.
The air purification device in the corner of the ceiling whirred to life, its fan dutifully blowing cool air that helped both of them regain a bit of clarity.
Chao Wan cracked her eyes open and peeked from the bed, the corners of her eyes still damp.
Through her tear-blurred vision, everything was hazy, but the pink patch on the woman’s neck was unmistakably clear.
It seemed to be a suppressant patch made for Omegas.
No wonder her pheromones smelled so pleasant, she was an Omega too.
Chao Wan thought dazedly, unaware that the woman had tossed the now-empty box of suppressant patches into the trash. The label on it read: “For Alpha Use.”
The bed shifted again.
The woman, her flushed complexion having faded somewhat, leaned against the bedside, crossing her legs. Her snow-white, slender calves were visible beneath the black silk robe.
She tossed a pink suppressant patch to Chao Wan and spoke softly, “Put it on yourself.”
She left Chao Wan with only the view of her graceful back.
Chao Wan murmured an acknowledgment, carefully tore open the patch, and pressed it onto the back of her neck with a soft snap.
“I’m sorry, sister…”
Her voice still carried the delicate softness of her heat, heavy with a nasal tone as she apologized.
Though she didn’t understand why she felt so drawn to this female Omega’s pheromones, barging into someone else’s room without a word and clinging to their skirt like a lovesick Alpha…
Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
Overwhelmed with shame, her breath so hot it could steam an egg, Chao Wan covered her face to avoid the woman’s gaze and scrambled off the bed.
“I’m sorry to disturb you. I have an audition tonight, I… I should go…”
The woman remained seated by the bed, watching her retreating figure, her voice tinged with hoarseness.
“Chao Wan.”
Chao Wan halted as if her name had been called, her long lashes trembling slightly.
How did her sister know her name?
She wiped away the tear at the corner of her eye and turned hesitantly.
Tonight was the first time she had clearly seen the woman’s face.
Her body instantly stiffened.
The system’s automatic prompt echoed belatedly in Chao Wan’s mind…
[Scent detected, mission completed.]
Mission target: Ji Tanyue.
Unaware of Chao Wan’s thoughts, the woman swept the long, curly hair that had fallen over her chest to the back, then stood up.
The black silk pajamas were rumpled from the earlier movement, with several buttons at the collar undone, revealing a suggestive sight.
Standing before Chao Wan, Ji Tanyue gently tucked the sweat-dampened strands of hair behind Chao Wan’s ear with her fingertips. “Are you called… Chao Wan?”
“I remember you.”
Chao Wan’s mind was in chaos. She stood frozen in place, staring into the woman’s captivating phoenix eyes.
But she didn’t recall ever meeting Ji Tanyue at this time.
“When we met in university, I remember your secondary gender was Alpha,” Ji Tanyue said quietly, her amber eyes glowing softly.
“I never expected you to be such a little liar.”
Chao Wan swallowed nervously, at a loss for words and unable to respond.
It’s over.
On the first day of her rebirth, she had already been caught red-handed, exposed in front of her rival, and had an ambiguous intimate encounter with her…
“So, sneaking in during your heat just now… were you trying to…”
Ji Tanyue’s fingertips moved to Chao Wan’s smooth chin, gripping it firmly.
“…use me to take a shortcut?”
