My Ex’s White Moonlight Omega Has a Crush on Me - Chapter 33
Whimpering softly, Chao Wan’s trembling fingers tapped open her phone’s flashlight function.
The wardrobe was filled with miscellaneous items. She wanted to search for the potent suppressants that Ji Tanyue had once used.
But it was empty, there was nothing.
Last time, when she had told Ji Tanyue how harmful such things were, the woman seemed to have stopped using them altogether.
And that had cut off Chao Wan’s chance to suppress her heat.
There were some suppressant patches in the wardrobe, but upon closer inspection, they were all for Alphas.
Ji Tanyue was an Omega; she wouldn’t need these.
Perhaps, before Chao Wan had moved in, the woman had kept other canaries.
Could they have been Alphas?
A sudden chill spread through her heart.
Just a few days ago, she had been intimate with Ji Tanyue here, but before that, there might have been others.
Of course, how could a patron keep only one canary?
How could she have assumed that this cage was meant for her alone?
Her eyes reddened, and with no strength left, Chao Wan curled up, hugging herself, and closed the wardrobe door.
A faint resistance stirred within her, yet she couldn’t help but greedily inhale the faint, almost imperceptible scent of tuberose.
Biting her lip, she cried silently, her shoulders trembling slightly.
It was so hot, as if she were trapped in a steamer.
Unconsciously, Chao Wan touched her face, then gradually moved her hand to the heated, tingling areas, trying to cool down.
But it was nothing compared to Ji Tanyue’s touch, instead, it only made her feel hotter.
Her consciousness blurred, sinking into a nightmare, only to jolt awake moments later.
This cycle repeated, and her pajamas were already soaked with sweat.
In the dim light, her phone, pressed against the corner of the wardrobe, lit up on its own.
The screen displayed the chat window with “y,” which Chao Wan had opened to seek help.
But from the moment she discovered the Alpha suppressant patches hidden in the wardrobe, she had already given up.
A faint rustling sound came from the wardrobe. Amidst her slight movements, the phone accidentally activated a function.
A voice call to Ji Tanyue.
Unaware, Chao Wan continued to sob unconsciously.
The phone vibrated softly, causing the white pill bottle on the table to tremble slightly.
Despite taking her medication, Ji Tanyue still slept poorly that night.
She opened her eyes, reached for her phone on the bedside table, and pressed the answer button.
Holding it to her ear.
Silence, except for the faint sound of fabric rustling and… extremely soft weeping.
“…Ms. Ji…” Someone was calling her, the voice like water-soaked cotton, soft yet suppressed and unbearable.
Ji Tanyue sat up, glanced at the call screen, and immediately pressed her lips together.
She had thought it was her assistant or Cheng Lou calling to discuss film-related matters, but it turned out to be Chao Wan.
“What’s wrong?” Her throat felt dry, but she tried to soften her voice.
Just hearing that one voice, she could no longer restrain herself, she wanted to return to the distant suburban villa immediately.
But after asking that question, no one answered.
The earlier crying seemed like an auditory hallucination.
Ji Tanyue waited patiently, slowing her breathing, yet a restless agitation gradually stirred in her chest.
“Ji…”
The person on the other end seemed disoriented, their crying intermittent, piercing her heart with each sob.
“Hot… uncomfortable…”
The golden retriever, awakened by its owner’s movements, approached, wagging its tail soothingly and nudging the woman’s trembling hand with its head.
Ji Tanyue took a deep breath, as if suppressing the turmoil within.
She patted the golden retriever’s head, did not hang up the call, hurriedly changed out of her pajamas, threw on a jacket from the hanger that hadn’t been ironed, and left.
Even her usually soft, cascading curls appeared somewhat disheveled.
The cook was preparing breakfast and looked surprised at the sight of the departing figure.
Wiping her hands on her apron, she hurried over with a worried expression.
“The doctor said you need to rest and take your medication for a while.”
“Is there an emergency with the crew? But…”
Ji Tanyue nodded to the cook, her face pale in the early morning light. “Sorry, Aunt Chen, there’s something I need to attend to.”
The door closed.
Only the golden retriever, who had followed her, wagged its tail silently, obedient yet confused.
It felt like half a century had passed.
All the moisture in her body seemed to have evaporated in the unbearable silence, consumed by the heat of desire.
In her daze, Chao Wan thought she heard the sound of the facial recognition lock activating.
She must have fallen into another nightmare, she thought.
After all, for the past three days, every evening after dinner, she had waited on the first floor.
But the woman had never returned.
As if at the end of the nightmare, the wardrobe door opened.
Then, when she opened her eyes, it would be endless darkness and the unbearable, shameful heat.
In her delirium, she seemed to call Ji Tanyue’s name, but Chao Wan truly couldn’t endure it.
She wept with grievance, simultaneously resisting the woman while instinctively drawing closer to please her, hating her own weakness and helplessness.
But this time, the nightmare truly stopped.
The stifling heat in the wardrobe dissipated.
Outside the window, the sky had brightened, birds chirped, and even the fragrant jasmine branches on the windowsill had withdrawn their rich scent.
In its place, the room was filled with an overwhelmingly dense floral pheromone.
A cool kiss landed on her lips, carrying the chill of the early autumn morning, but the heat that followed nearly scalded Chao Wan.
“Sorry.” The whisper in her ear was soft.
Chao Wan had no time to respond, as her sobs were swallowed along with the kiss.
Entangled with the person who had finally arrived, she instinctively sought the rich floral scent that was no longer an illusion. Her body, alternating between hot and cold, felt as if immersed in warm water, unconditionally embraced.
Soon, she was lifted out of the wardrobe and firmly fell into the fragrant embrace she had longed for all night.
The covers were pulled over her, her back sinking into the softness of the bed as her consciousness began to fade.
Warm teeth pressed against her delicate, crimson skin.
“It’ll be over soon.” Ji Tanyue kissed her. “Be good.”
Chao Wan couldn’t hear clearly but nodded instinctively.
Ji Tanyue was an Omega, so a bite shouldn’t matter.
The person above her moved gently, as if afraid of breaking her.
But the ensuing sharp pain and disorientation made Chao Wan feel that all the earlier setup had been a carefully laid trap.
…
Ji Tanyue tidied herself and went downstairs to pour a glass of water.
Watching the amber liquid flow into the white porcelain cup, she realized she had left in such a hurry that she forgot her sandalwood bead bracelet.
Moreover, the fingers holding the teapot were already bruised, with beads of blood slowly seeping out.
Taking a sip of water, she absentmindedly applied a band-aid and returned upstairs.
Chao Wan was already asleep, her soft, slender form faintly visible under the covers.
But the sweet lychee scent still lingered in the room, intensely concentrated.
No longer fresh and clean, but a tempting sweetness that had accumulated from pheromone release throughout the night.
A faint ache tugged at Ji Tanyue’s heart.
Sitting by the bed, she rolled up her sleeves and gently stroked Chao Wan’s flushed, dazed face.
Pale needle marks were visible on the back of her hand, traces from the potent suppressant she had injected earlier.
She had only stopped at a temporary mark, yet it had nearly been too much to bear.
It seemed her sensitive period was approaching again.
Ji Tanyue leaned down, her lips brushing against Chao Wan’s trembling eyelashes in a silent comfort.
A gentle, slightly bitter pheromone instantly filled the air.
Unexpectedly, Chao Wan grew even more restless in her sleep, frowning and burrowing deeper under the covers.
As if subconsciously, deliberately avoiding her.
She resented her.
Ji Tanyue’s fingers twitched slightly as she straightened up, her hair hiding her somber expression.
Chao Wan slept for a long time.
When she opened her eyes, the world outside the curtains had deepened into night.
The faintly bitter scent still lingered in the air, making her instinctively want to draw closer and inhale more.
Silently, she touched the back of her neck, there was a small bite mark.
The fever had temporarily subsided, but Chao Wan didn’t understand why.
Ji Tanyue was clearly an Omega, could she also help suppress her heat?
Struggling out of bed, she pushed the door open and looked down to the first floor.
A familiar figure sat upright at the table, white earphone wires threaded through her hair, a laptop open in front of her.
A video conference, Ji Tanyue was participating in an online script reading for “Moon Over West River.”
Not wanting to disturb her, Chao Wan returned to the room.
But just a few minutes later, there was a knock at the door.
It was an unfamiliar middle-aged woman with a kind smile, holding a tray with clear porridge and crystal buns.
“Miss Chao. May I call you that?” She placed the tray on the table.
Chao Wan retreated to the bed, covering herself with the blanket, only her head visible.
Her gaze filled with confusion, she nodded cautiously.
“It’s time for dinner.” After setting everything down, the woman gave her a friendly smile and quickly left.
Sitting quietly on the bed for a while, she couldn’t resist the hunger in her stomach.
Chao Wan picked up the porridge and took a few tentative sips.
Having been hungry for so long, after finishing the porridge, she lost her appetite for anything else.
After washing up, she burrowed back under the covers and closed her eyes.
Through the door, she soon heard the sound of conversation.
Ji Tanyue was bidding farewell to the woman, her voice soft: “Aunt Chen, thank you for your trouble.”
“It’s no trouble, but you still need to take your medication on time.”
A few minutes later, someone entered and gently closed the door.
The covers were lifted slightly as Ji Tanyue lay down, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her close.
Chao Wan’s eyelashes fluttered as she lowered her gaze, not resisting.
She was, after all, a plaything, it seemed she had no right to resist anything the woman did.
Just like the neglect of the past few days: when the keeper was in the mood, she would come daily to play with her, giving her those illusory moments of intimacy.
Once the interest faded, she could ignore her completely, leaving others to feed and watch over her.
“Chao Wan.” Ji Tanyue spoke, caressing her still-warm cheek.
It felt like touching smooth silk, intoxicating.
“May I kiss you again?” Her voice was gentle.
Chao Wan remained silent.
She allowed the warm breath from behind to draw closer, brushing her face, then her nose.
Finally, covering her lips.
The kiss was as soothing and gradual as ever, like the calm surface of a tranquil lake.
But Chao Wan could only feel a creeping chill seeping into her back.
“Still uncomfortable? I’ll stay with you tonight.” Ji Tanyue traced the small mole on her nose.
She seemed to like that spot.
But was it just novelty?
Chao Wan hummed softly, averting her gaze, forcing herself not to look into the woman’s captivating phoenix eyes.
Soon, the lights in the room went out.
After washing up, Ji Tanyue, as usual, held her tightly from behind, burying her face in the crook of her neck.
“I’ve informed Cheng Lou. After we join the crew, our hotel rooms will be adjacent.”
Chao Wan nodded silently.
“Is this your first time on set? Don’t worry, I can teach you how to act.” Ji Tanyue kissed her earlobe.
Just like the annotations in the script, teaching her… how to kiss?
Originally, there was no need for more intimate scenes, but because of the woman’s wishes, they even had to fade to black.
Other canaries must have received the same treatment.
Chao Wan’s nose tingled with bitterness.
“Has Ms. Ji taught others how to act before?” Thinking of the Alpha suppressant patches in the wardrobe, she asked.
Perhaps, as an Omega, Ji Tanyue wasn’t actually into Omega-Omega relationships.
Ji Tanyue’s body stiffened slightly, as if she hadn’t expected her to respond here.
“What’s wrong?” she asked softly.
Chao Wan pressed her lips together.
Had all the favor she received since mistakenly entering that room been because… she was disguised as an Alpha to the outside world?
Her expression dimmed as she swallowed the question and replied, “It’s nothing.”
Silence lingered behind her for a long time.
Soon, another kiss descended.
Intimate, carrying a hint of ambiguity, the tuberose scent gradually enveloped her.
Today, Ji Tanyue seemed even more inclined to be close to her, her arm around Chao Wan’s waist never loosening.
But Chao Wan only silently lowered her eyes, curled up, and resisted the woman’s next move.
“Ms. Ji, I’m not feeling well today. Can we not do it?” she whispered, making an excuse.
